"No blood today." He wasn't in the mood to deal with any squeamish children, "But if anyone wishes to use blood for the seal next time, you may whenever you wish, come into the classroom and carve some more runes and use your blood by adding just a few drops into the red ochre mix."

He headed up to the board and gave it a tap. Startled, the blackboard began writing again. It had apparently dozed off.

"The homework will be up shortly. Finish painting the red ochre into the rune carvings you just made, and then you may leave."

Emily took some notes on her parchment, she was actually a little disappointed they weren't using blood... "Oh well next time", she said to herself.
Emily took the small brush in her hand and traced the colour over her rune. It did look more complete this way than it had before. Emily was pleased with her work and couldn't wait for the next lesson.
She quickly jotted down the homework that slwoly appeared on the board and then placed her belongings in her bag.
"Thanks for the lesson Professor", she said as she exited the classroom.

Even though she didn't want to use blood in the class, she was interested in using blood for her personal set of runes if she ever got around to making them.

Before she started painting, she made sure her runes were clean and clear of any wood shavings. Arya whistled a bit while she worked on painting the runes she'd carved. This lesson reminded her of the art classes in her previous school. It only took her a few minutes to finish painting them all with the red ochre, and once that had been completed, she scribbled the steps in her notes for future reference.

Grabbing all of her belonging, she packed them back into her bag, eyes flicking to the runes she had painted once more. Not bad if she had to say so. Swinging the bag onto her shoulder, she turned her head to smile at the professor. "See ya later, Professor Truebridge." Weaving through the tables, she made her way out of the classroom to meet Sabel in the corridor.

Salander took the bowl with the red ochre mixture and stared at his runes carving. Truthfully he wanted to use some of his blood now. He was already satisfied with the runes he selected, and he wanted to seal the magic up with something that was truly his. Sort of like marking his territory.

Quietly, he lowered the bowl onto his lap, trying to avoid the squeamish ones from seeing what he was about to do. He pressed his thumb between his fingers tightly, touched it with the tip of his wand then softly uttered a cutting spell. Blood gushed from the tiny cut on his finger as the Slytherin lad pressed it even further to get a few more drops into the bowl.

When he thinks he's gotten enough in he stirred the mixture with the paint brush, then carefully painted the rune carvings until they were covered in the ocher-blood paint. Leaning back he examined his work. Yeah he's happy with it. And its his. Its really his.

He cleaned out the bowl and the tools and collected his things. "Awesome lesson Professor Truebridge....oh and uh, thanks for the points!" he said, nodding his head in respect then made for the door.
