Leave it to Katie to change subjects from something serious to gossipy. Tehehe. "What?" Maybe they had been talking with Victoria?

Katie giggled, she couldn't wait to see Kurumi's reaction, HEHE. "I heard people talking and a 15 year old girl, was engaged!" Katie said, that shocked Katie when she heard, what about Kurumi?

"Victoria? I talked to her a while ago," she said with just a little bit of shock on her face. The initial shock of hearing about her being engaged had already sunk in. "I'm just glad to have friends and I am only starting to think about boys...no way I would be ready at age 15 to get engaged."

Who was Victoria? Katie had never heard about her, "Is she ravenclaw?" Katie asked, that girl was Ravenclaw that was for sure, yup yup. "I know! I thought when I heard, 15?!?! Engaged? What?" Katie giggled.

"Yep, same girl," Kurumi laughed. "I almost choked on a cookie when she told me. My mother would kill me if I got engaged that early...I'm not even sure when my father would be OK with me having a boyfriend...my brothers would probably be harder to win over though." Kurumi laughed.

Katie looked at Kurumi, seems she knew more then Katie, HEHE.

"Do you know who?" Katie asked as she giggled, she liked talking to Kurumi, they were the KK's, yup yup!

Kurumi scratched her head for a moment. "I don't remember...but she is really in love. While I cannot get over the fact that she is only 15...it must be nice to just know that you are meant to be with someone," Kurumi said thinking about the dreams she had been having off and on for months with a prince dressed in white. She had yet to see his face, but he was always there, always watching, always capturing her dreaming heart.

Kurumi laughed as Katie began dancing around again. Maybe she should join in? Kurumi didn't know how to dance...unless traditional Japanese dances counted. "I've mostly been studying or spending time in the kitchens. Lukas and I were cooking the other day - he taught me a few things since I mostly only know how to bake." She set her textbook down on a pumpkin beside her and continued to watch Katie twirl around.

"Lukas is a second year in Gryffindor. We hang out and talk in the common room sometimes. He is kind of my cooking buddy," she explained half surprised that Katie hadn't already met him. He was friends with Adam also. Kurumi looked at Katie's outstretched hand and giggled. Twirling around in the snow seemed like it might be fun. "OK!"

Fee walked down the pumpkin patch. She hadnt been here in ages.
Sitting down on a pumpkin she smiled at the beautiful sky.
It was snowing, she loved snow. Picking up a branch she drew a heart into it.

Oh.

"I am sorry to hear zat." he said, shifting around so he could actually look at Iris without craning his neck. "Do you still keep in touch?"

Perhaps she and her best friend used to come to this pumpkin patch all the time. Still though, he didn’t understand why she had to wear a dress… near winter time.

"It's okay... No need for you to apologise." The prefect smiled, half kindly, half sadly. She didn't like people saying sorry for Aaron leaving. It was pitiful, almost.

Iris shuffled a little and shrugged. "Eh... Well... No, we don't. He's not written back to me at all since the term started..." She looked up at Noel, "...but it doesn't bother me. Not that much, anyway..." Offering the older boy a smile, Iris sat up straighter and crossed her legs.

The situation probably wasn't as bad as it seemed. Maybe Aaron was just VERY busy, in New York. Or maybe the owl's didn't always reach him. Just being in the Pumpkin Patch made it feel like New York was closer to Scotland, though. That was probably the only reason why Iris didn't go insane from missing him...

Flapping very hard, very tired, a barn owl swoops over head at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. She starts to loose height as she finds the person she's looking for. With Iris Beaumont in view, she finished her decent by landing on a fence. Avery sticks out her leg so the letter can be taken.

SPOILER!!: Letter From Aaron

Bonjour, Mademoiselle!

I know! I know! "Aaron James Anderson, why haven't you been writing to me?!?!" Well, it's really really hard to send a letter to your girlfriend when your owl refuses to fly across the atlantic ocean. I mean, I know it's a whole flippin ocean, but your a magical owl! Get to it!

Anyway.... Hi!!! How are things at Hogwarts??? I hope they're good. I heard I'm missing the Triwizard tournament. Such a bummer. I would have loved to be there for that. And in your last letter you said your a prefect now!!! That's fantastic!!! I hope you're bossing some firsties around.

New York is crazyyyyyyy!!!! First of all, they care more about BASEBALL and FOOTBALL (which by the way, is NOT football,) than they do about Quidditch! Naturally, I'm the best player on my team, but it doesn't matter! No one takes it seriously! Oh, people....

Also, New York people are very rude. That's not just a myth, they are. I was asking someone how to get to a lesson, and they turned to me and said, "What do I look like, a guidepost???"

But, it is really nice to come to the place that my grandparents met. (The American ones.) So now I have experience in both of my heritage....s.

I miss you so much Iris Beaumont. I can't wait to come see you over the holidays. (By the way, did I mention I was coming home for the holidays????) Say hey to Jimbo and everyone else for me, will you?

Lot's of love!!!
Aaron Anderson

P.S. NO pumpkin patch here!!! Not cool!

Once the letter is of her leg, she heads for the owly before flying back to New York City.

Mia hadn't known that but she could see why they would have to do that especially as Carter when on to explain that he hadn't done anything particularly magical when he had been younger.

She laughed a little. "Yeah that would have come as a surprise or if you did what I did and blew up my mum's pot of beef stew because I didn't want to eat it." Now that was when being a witch really came in handy.

"What do you want to do when you finish school?" Had she asked him that already? Mia had memory like a sieve sometimes.

Carter laughed. "Yeah... I'm kind of glad. I'm sure I wouldn't have been as eager to come here if I accidentally blew something up." he said still laughing.

Carter tilted his head and scratched his head. "Well... before coming to Hogwarts I really wanted to play professional football." he said. "So it would be brilliant if I could play quidditch. I have no idea if I'm good enough though. I've only been to one game - the quidditch cup - so I'm not sure if that's a good comparison."

"But if that doesn't work out I would like to do some kind of muggle relations thing. You know, to help other families like mine." he said. He wasn't sure if something like that even existed, but he hoped it did.

"What about you? What do you want to do?"

Mia laughed also. "If you had tasted my mum's beef stew you would probably have blown it up as well." Thank god she had decided to become a vegetarian.

She listened attentively as Carter spoke about his playing football and quidditch. Mia was certainly not sports orientated but she liked watching people's reactions when they talked about something they loved. "Well the quidditch cup sounds like it's something important. So you would have to be proud of that, right?" She didn't really have any idea but it did sound as though it was something worth talking about.

"Well if it doesn't exist then maybe you could be the first person to start up something of the sort." It actually was a pretty good idea. Even though her father was a wizard, Mia knew that she could have done with some help before coming to Hogwarts.

Laughing softly, Mia looked at Carter. "Now how did I know that you were going to ask me that? I have absolutely no idea. I think I might try and get through this year at Hogwarts first and then see what I want to do after school is finished."

She sat there quietly for a moment before her stomach gave a little rumble. Mia laughed again and gave Carter a sheepish look, "You reckon we could head over to the great hall and get something to eat? I'm feeling a little peckish."

Carter laughed. "Was it that bad?" he asked. "Because... you know, I'm a guy. I tend to eat anything." Really, he did. He loved food. All food.

"Yeah. It was here just a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. I met one of my friend's families. That was fun." he said. "But I would go like to see another game, one that isn't the quidditch cup." Yeah, a normal game would be much easier to gauge his talent against.

He nodded. "Yeah. I think people like us could use an extra bit of help." he said. "Especially if families aren't understand. I am lucky, my parents fully support this." he said motioning around him. He was sure his sister would too. If she knew that is.

He smiled. He still wasn't quite sure exactly what he wanted to do, but he did have a few ideas. A few ideas that he had spent the past three years thinking about.

"Yeah. Food sounds great." Carter said with a smile. He stood up and brushed the dirt off of him. "Need a hand?" he asked offering his hand to her.

Laughing loudly, Mia nodded her head. "It was that bad. None of the men in the commune could eat it, even my dad and he never does anything to upset my mum." But he had brought Mia the biggest ice cream she had ever seen for saving them from having to eat the stew.

"I wished I could have seen it. Not so much for the game itself but just to see what witches and wizards do when they all get together like that." Mia had been isolated far too long. Something she was going to talk to her father about when term finished.

Mia nodded as well. "It sounds like the perfect solution. Maybe you should really think about going into something like that. You're a good talker and sensitive to people's needs. I could see you being a good spokesperson."

She took hold of his hand and pulled herself up to her feet. "It wouldn't be hard to buy you a present for your birthday. As long as it was something that went in your mouth, you'd be happy." She giggled as she waved her hand for him to lead the way.

Once the letter is of her leg, she heads for the owly before flying back to New York City.

Iris looked away from Noel when something caught her eye in the air... Ah... Another owl, coming back and heading to the owlery. She sighed, and focused her attention to the older boy once more.

However, it seemed that this little owl wasn't heading towards the Owlery. It was descending towards the Pumpkin Patch... Towards her.

It was only when the barn owl had landed next to her that Iris realised who the owl was. "Avery!" Iris stared at the owl, slightly suprised to see her. Seemed like Aaron hadn't forgotten about her after all. Carefully and slowly extending her hand out to the barn owl, Iris stroked Avery's feathers gently, and untied the letter from her leg.

Watching as the bird flew off instantly, the prefect looked down at the parchment in her hand. Either Aaron had written to her, or Avery was bringing some kind of bad news. Iris really hoped it wasn't the latter.

For some reason, it suddenly seemed a lot colder when she went to open the seal on the letter. Iris bit her lip as she started to read it. Remembering that Noel was still sat with her, she skimmed through the letter very quickly, intending to read it properly later on - when she could reply to it.

Seeing that it really was from Aaron, Iris smiled happily and found herself tracing his name with her finger.

She looked up at Noel, still half smiling. Some people said 'Speak of the Devil and he'll appear'... Well, this was true to say right now, wasn't it? Hehe. "Quand on parle du loup, on en voit la queue!" Iris leant against the pumpkin she was sat in front of, contently.

Aaron said he was coming home for the holidays... Oh, how the summer needed to hurry up, now...

The pumpkin patch!

Roxxy wandered over to the patch not far from Mr Masterson's where all the pumpkin's were growing. Stepping into the little patch she just glided through it at a slow pace thinking about nothing in particular. Almost toppling over Roxxy noticed the GIANT sized pumpkin that was blocking her way. It had the same firey red hair as Cammy.

Picking up a tune she had learned during the first task Roxxy continued to stroll onwards. Finding a big pumpkin that seemed to allow for someone to take a rest on it she sat down on top of it wondering what her friends were up to.

Pumpkins. There was some strangely appealing about the Pumpkin Patch at Hogwarts. Maybe it was the splashes of sunny orange brightening the otherwise dull and dreary winter landscape. The lad was drawn towards them as he took an early morning stroll around the grounds.

He stepped over one and then zigzagged his way around the large vegetables on his way across the garden. A grin spread up his face when he spotted the familiar figure of his adopted lil' sister, Roxxy sitting perched on top a larger than average pumpkin.

“Morning.” He greeted her and skulked over, rocking on the balls of his feet as he grinned and looked down at her. “Merlin, Roxxy. I was beginning to get worried about you. Thought you'd left school without telling me.” It had been THAT long since he had seen the wee girl. "How are you, luv?" Grin.

That would have bothered him a great deal, if his best friend had left and never wrote…

Oh mon dieu! He needed to write back to Beauxbatons!

"Perhaps, he iz busy wiz school." He suggested, smiling just a bit. Just like he had been this year, not really having the chance to write any of his friends. They understood though. Triwizard Tournament and all. He better write a novel length letter to make it up though.

Pushing his slightly fluffy-ish hair to the side and away from his eyes, something suddenly had caught his attention.

Well that was a rather nice looking owl. With a letter for Iris it seemed. Smiling, Noel settled back onto the pumpkin, scooping down just the slightest and wrapping his jacket closer around himself.

Iris will no doubt read it, so he'd be patient of course.

Glancing at the blond haired girl out of the corner of his eye after a moment or two of skimming the pumpkin patch and beyond, Noel smiled when it seemed she was tracing something on the letter.

When she spoke, a chuckle escaped him before he gestured to the letter. "Iz zat from ze boy? Ze one zat left?"

Perhaps he knew they were talking about him. Sort of that is.
