Task Two Stands Have you brought a warm coat? A winter cloak? A scarf and a pair of mitts? It's bound to get very chilly in the stands. Cheering on the champions might keep you warm, but once they've entered the maze, there isn't much else to do than wait and hope that whatever the champions are facing isn't as bad as what you're imagining. The hedges are impenetrable, both to sight and to sound. A black wall just beyond the few flickering torches that fill the starting area with uncertain light, they are moving slightly in the wintry breeze and rustling faintly. As there is nothing to see, there is nothing to hear. And which is worse? Complete silence that leaves the champions to an uncertain fate – or loud noises of a struggle? Whatever the case, there is not much else to do than sit tight and stay warm, and hope that whoever you support makes it first through the eerie maze. |
So, why was he here again? Because Treyen already knew that the Stands weren't going to give away anything that may be happening with the Champions, right? Well, this time he was right. But he couldn't stay in the Castle either. He wanted to be there when Duncan emerged from...eh, whatever the task consisted on. That. It was almost freezing, but he was liking the cold, because he was warm...everything was covered and he had his purple/blue striped scarf. Pretty scarf. It made his eyes stand out. But, yeah, whatever. He'd only come to see his Champion come out unscathed. His Champion being Fletcher, of course. Fear not! Because he brought a book along, a book about Nifflers, something Mr. Masterson lend him. Nice man. Evil sometimes. But helpful. And so he took a seat, and made himself comfortable. This could take a while. |
Okay. Second task. And this time, Ellie was getting a GOOD view. So, she raced out to the stands as early as she could. And all alone. But that didn't bother her. Because she was going to WATCH Raiden kick butt this time! ...Or not. From what she could see, she wouldn't be able to see ANYTHING. What were they thinking putting bushes in the way? How were they supposed to watch the task now?! The redhead grumbled to herself, as she rubbed her bare hands together, keeping them warm. She should have brought hot chocolate. |
It was not too hard to miss the red hair walking somewhere nearby. He couldn't help to remember his golden (like the sun!) hair before Glitter!girl ruined it. Yeah, he was NOT letting that one go. "Ellie!" he said, waving at the girl, "Who are you supporting here?" mmm, Miles was not going through the second task...so... ...he was still curious, though, because apart from that Divination lesson he hadn't spoken to Ellie anymore, and there was no chance to ask something tournament-related in class. The boy closed the book, not before putting a tag on the page he was on. |
She was not going to lie. Danika was worried about both her friends, even if she knew they were more than capable of handling themselves she was still nervous. Not to mention that this was the first time she was outside the Castle since the first task. It was a long time for someone who used to spend much more time outside than inside. Danika sighed when she took a seat. She had no distractions except to think or hope for the best. Something that was unnecessary, she was worrying for nothing. Her face seemed pretty neutral, though, there was no worry or nervousness there, perhaps the tapping of the fingers on her leg was the only thing that could give her away. It was only a matter of time. And patience. She could handle that very easily, especially with all the coldness around. She loved that, the cold. |
Her attire was....pretty much the same as the first task with a few small differences. She still had the green sweatshirt, and her green again hair was still curled with silver ribbons. The only difference was the badger scarf she was sporting instead of a button, and a black pair of gloves. Again, obvious who she was supporting. Fletcher and Raiden. And again she could see what was going on in the maze. Which may have been a good thing considering how the champions had come out in the first task. At least she wasn't as worried as the last task. Maybe. It could have been the warm thermos of hot chocolate that she had. A bit distracting it was. Bouncing down the stands, she took a seat beside Treyen, and smiled at him and the Ravenclaw girl before taking a sip of her coco. Eyes flicking towards the maze. And now she waited. |

But, Ellie liked Treyen, of course. And she HAD been thinking of meeting him after Divination...before he left before she had a chance to ask of his plans. So this was a good thing. "Hey!" she greeted in return. "Raiden." BEAM. Champion, Prefect, Raiden. "What about you?" She studied him a bit more, and noticed he had a book. Blink. Weren't Ravenclaws supposed to be the ones carrying books to exciting events, preferring to read? And Ellie, a Ravenclaw, hadn't read a book for leisure since the days of Beedle the Bard. Not..not when Beedle was ALIVE days, but when she was young enough to be interested in silly tales days. Raising an eyebrow, she inquired him about it. "What're you reading there?" Though she wanted to ask him, instead, HOW HE COULD BE READING WHEN THERE WAS A TOURNAMENT GOING ON?! But...she contained herself. |

Hair streaked green and gold streamed behind her as she took the steps two at a time up to the stands. There was no way she was going to get a seat far from her friends in the nose bleed section like she had in the first task. No, no that just wouldn't do. But then again there was only so fast that a person could climb steps when they were balancing green and yellow pompoms and a hot chocolate. Nevertheless, eventually she did make it to the appropriate area of the stands where her best friend was seated, unmistakable in her green hair. "Arya...Arya!" She called out to her bestie even though she was still a few rows away. Weaving between the different people sending out a few apologies when necessary, she finally sat herself down with a sigh and a hug for her friend. "Did I miss anything? Has it started?" Looking around hurriedly, she let out a breath as she realized the answer. No, it seemed she got here just in time. An anxious smile on her face, she turned and realized that Treyen was sitting at Arya's other side. "Oh, hey Treyen! Long time no see, how's it going?" |

Raiden? Huh? Treyen didn't hide his disappointment, eyebrows furrowed and all, "Raiden?" like, why? Sure, the boy had been the first one out last time, but that was no insurance of anything. The Huffie boy smiled next, grinned almost, when he replied, "Fletcher, of course, Sir Awesome" Sir Duncan Awesome Fletcher, that one. The Hufflepuff boy made of awesome, got it? Oh, he noticed, the look towards the book! Treyen looked around first, in case Saylen popped out of nowhere. She does that. "Oh, I have a never ending assignment" he said, almost sighing, "I have to read about Nifflers and find stuff out if I want Phineas back" though, he highly doubted that was happening soon considering it had taken him around 3 months to get a book, Phineas might have forgotten him by now. Thanks Saylen. "It serves as a distraction, you know" because he freaked out big time in the first task. Quote:
Treyen frowned, "Why are you wearing green?" it wasn't just the green, it just seemed as if she was supporting the Slytherin boy. Colors didn't truly matter, after all, he was wearing a purple/blue scarf, but Arya seemed to be supporting someone...other than Fletcher, the Awesome. Sneaky badger. He did eye the hot chocolate. Ha. Someone was smart enough to bring hot beverages. Perfect! Quote:
Long time no see. True. Very true, considering the fact that he'd forgotten her name! Oh, he should be ashamed of himself. It was odd, though, because he never forgot a name. The boy resisted the urge to scratch his head while he thought of her name. But...nothing came to mind. Eek! "Heeey, everything is going great...see...Fletcher is right there" alive, and safe. |
Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Lilyan Moretti took her seat, crossing her legs and tugging her hat over her ears. If the last task was any indication of this one, she was sure that she would need to be everywhere all at once... again. Well, the only thing she could do now was sit tight and wait for her job. At least she had her coffee to keep her company. |
Treyen AND Arya Quote:
Fletcher? "Oh, is that the Hufflepuff?" Psh. It would make sense that Treyen would support the Hufflepuff, grilled cheese, champion. But, he did seem kind of alright. From what she knew. "Wha...? Who's Phineas?" Nifflers? Heh. They were fun. If you were stranded on an island with buried treasure.... Otherwise, they creeped Ellie out. Just a tad, though. No worries. She turned to the arrival of some other people. One of which she remembered....But had barely spoken to. And she was wearing green. Heh. Take that Treyen. |
Quote:
He...didn't like the way she said 'the Hufflepuff'. Sir Awesome was not just a Hufflepuff. "Yes, he's a Hufflepuff, a real bright one too, and very clever" aha, very clever that one was, "Like all Hufflepuffs" right, Arya? But, never mind, he'd better let the topic drop. The boy's eyes flickering between the book and the maze, "Last year, when Professor Lawson gave us a creature to look after...well, I named my Niffler, Phineas" a fancy name for a fancy creature, no? "I haven't seen him since" thank you, Saylen. Very much. |

Climbing a bit higher, she spotted Lily and, without a word (as she was far too cold), she sat down. Finally, after a minute of silence, not talking was starting to annoy her, so she turned to Lily and said, "I need a warming charm...or some coffee." She giggled then nodded once in the direction of Lil's coffee. "So...other than freezing, how ya doing?" she asked. |
Eeeeeeeeeee, Grayson internally squeed as she bounced up into the stands for the second task. Especially as she turned around and saw that it was a maze, which only made her internal squeeing get worse. It was totally like the stories, although a tiny part of her hoped this maze wasn't going to end up like that one. Nobody had evil dark wizards after them, that she knew of. At least, she didn't think Raiden or But, beyond the same t-shirt and thermal she'd worn to the last task, she also had her blonde hair sort of tucked up into her beanie and Draco was curled around her neck like a white fuzzy neck-warmer. And her jeans were tucked into fuzzy boots so her feet weren't getting cold. And she had a heavy parka on as well. She was good. Turning back to the stands as she continued making her way to a seat, she took a moment to wave at Arya and Ivory before glancing at Healer Moretti. Who had just been joined by Professor Carlton, which made Grayson wonder if the baby ferret was still nameless. The woman looked really nervous, which made Grayson's excitement wane the slightest bit. But then she looked back at the maze and it was back. Grin blossoming across her face as she finally sat down wherever she was standing, she leaned forward to peer at the starting area. "GO RAIDEN AND FLETCHER!!!!!!!, she yelled out. Things wer much easier when she didn;t have four people to cheer for, even though she was sad Cam and Miles were no longer competing. Hogwarts was still going to win it all. |
Her brown eyes flicked back to her huffie friend when he inquired about her hair, a slight confused frown crossing her features when she noticed his own. "Cause I'm supporting, Rai....why else would I have all this green?" She had waaaay too much green and sliver to not be supporting the prefect. She picked up the end of her yellow scarf and waved it a bit. "I'm supporting Fletcher too." In case he thought she abandoned her house. That would never happen. Noticing him eying her hot chocolate, her frown faded into a grin. "You want some? I can duplicate it..." It wouldn't last long in his stomach, but it would keep him warm while they waited for the champions. Spotting the younger girl looking at her, she smiled a bit more. "Hey, I'm Arya.-" That conversation, however, did not last long as the young puff heard a familiar voice calling her name. "Hey, Ivy!!" Grin widening, she gratefully returned the hug from her best friend. "You haven't missed a thing, they just went in..." She glanced back over to the maze anxiously before turning back to her bestie. Free hand reaching up and flicking a strand of the girl's green and gold hair. "Love the hair." Her eyes caught site of Grayson, and she returned the girl's wave. Peeking back at the maze when she cheered for Raiden and Fletcher. |
*sigh* where are the boys? What?! Were they all supporting Raiden? Was there a special part of the benches reserved for people supporting Sir Awesome and he didn't know about it? Tsk. Tsk. Treyen frowned at the scarf even more. She was all green with a yellow spot. That was no fair. Both color should be equal, no? Or no colors at all. He had no particular color. All good. "I would have never guessed you were supporting Fletcher" no smile. But he smiled next. "Oh, no, that's okay, thank you Arya" well, not yet. The boy nodded while he answered and then his smile widened. Arya had said the Ravenclaw's name! Ivy! And he knew that was short of something. Yeah, he was good. Real good. Now he |

"Oh, I don't doubt he's bright. Or clever. Must be." Because Ellie had a theory on the Tournament. And that included all the champions being both smart and skillful. But she smirked at the 'all Hufflepuffs'. Ellie didn't believe you could count the whole house on something. She thought that everyone made their own. GASP. "Oh no! What happened to it?!" There was a critter in need! Concern was an understatement. Quote:

YUM. "I'm lovely." She grinned. She really was lovely. Still in that WONDERFUL kind of mood she'd been in all term. "You?" |

Those were the times when he didn't like Fletcher. Things change real quick, don't they? But then, to Ellie, it made total sense, whilst it took him a great amount of time to accept it. That's why she was a Ravenclaw. Treyen noticed that, and almost narrowed his eyes at the smirk, but he didn't fully do that. He'd let those things go, after all, Houses aren't important. "Oh, no, nothing, he's alright" or so Treyen likes to believe, "I just failed to answer a question about his food habits and Saylen doesn't want me near him until I find out" it had been a mistake to go ask Saylen something. A very big mistake. |
Hecate came to the task's stand and sat looking in the stands for her boyfriend. She was a little concerned. She'd wanted to come support the champions... hers in particular, but she only had Masterson's warm cloak she'd borrowed from him, and still had yet to return. So that's what she was wearing... all snuggled up and warm. |
Danika, Professor Lafay ^_^ It felt extremely perculiar to be sitting on this side of the arena. The last time this event had happened, she'd been crawling through plants and ..ick and EW. It felt nice to be clean and safe and .. out of the caves. Yes. But goodluck to Fletcher and Raiden. The BEST luck. Because she knew what could happen in there. Passing the Durmstrang girl, she smiled. They'd met at the feast. "You're looking much better," She interjected, rubbing her hands together. She despised the cold. It was horrible and right now she was absolutely freezing. Quote:
"You've come to support the Champions?" She asked with a small smile. She would've thought after the debacle with Raiden, she might'nt have been so keen. |

It seemed like so long ago. Perhaps because of the cold. Perhaps because she'd been inside the Castle all this time. "Are you supporting someone in particular?" she decided on asking, maybe Cameron could see that Danika seemed nicer, but the fingers were still tapping her leg, the worry wouldn't disappear soon. Quote:
"Hey, I still have your overcoat, I have veen trying to find you, vut I do not know your name" she smiled, he'd been so helpful back then, and he was probably freezing right now. Didn't he have another overcoat? "I am, thanc you" not really, she was now worried about her friends over there on the maze. But she was enjoying a perfectly good health, which meant she was better than the last he'd seen her. |

Help. She had to help him, right? "Do.." Huh. What DID Nifflers eat? Not gold. They were attracted to shiny. Far different from eating it. Ellie bowed her head. "I'm sorry to hear that." At least it wasn't lost in the Forest or something, though. That was a major plus. |
Really? She had slept in?! Cosette huffed as she tried to hurry herself over to the stands for the second task. After taking a few minutes to find the perfect outfit, due to the blistering cold, she was able to rely on a pair of black fox fur ear muffs, a Mongolian sheepskin and wool cloak, a plaid skirt underneath a black tights to go with her combat boots, along with her short sleeve black turtle neck. Putting the ear muffs over her blond hair, she walked up along the stairs to the stands in front of the entrance area. She really wasn't going to be able to see him before the task? Biting her pale pink lip, her eyes darted around to see all the champions had already embarked on the task. Oh mon diu! She only hoped Noel would be ok. What if she never got to see him again? No, she couldn't think like that. "Allez mon champion, Noel!" She only hoped he could hear her. |
