Send an Owl Post Come and send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. |
Brittany had already said as soon as she was able to send a note back home to her parents she would. She was dying to tell her dad about the triwizard competition. She walked in and saw loads of owls but none were hers. "Keegan" she called. with a soft whistle. He heard her and flew done to her shoulder. "That's a good boy.' she said smiling and giving him a treat.she had remembered what fee had said earlier. "Okay Boy I need you to take this to mom and dad for me. Can you do that?" she asked the owl. He softly nipped her hand, stuck out his leg for the letter and was off before she knew it. She smiled as she watched him soar throught the night |
"Vernir ici, Cupid!" Anais called loudly, and her elf owl appeared on her shoulder. She scribbled down a private note to her mother in France and tied it to Cupid's leg, giving him a small kiss on the head and watching him fly away. |
It had only been about a day at this new school and she was already missing her freinds at her old school She thought she might as well send them a letter being that she was so not into her family much anymore. Her freinds back home were the only people in her life that she cared to keep in contact with and thus she wrote a letter about her first impression of Hogwarts and tied the parchment to an owls leg. She then watched the bird take bird off on its way and she smiled feeling the happiest she'd been since she got to Hogwarts. |
MEh, not even a DAY and Kodes already NEEDED to Owl her two favorite boys; Orlando and Uncle Sean. She missed them. Like a lot, a lot a lot. Oreocakes shoulda come WITH her. Sighhhh. But she understood that he had a big plate alright. So she wasn't mad at him. Nope. She didn't get mad at him a lot anyways. Drawing her fingers to her lips and giving a sharp whistle, Kodykins waited for Duch to fly down from the rafters. |

OWLS. BIG SCARY OWLS. Okaaaaayyyy....so owls weren't that big but they were still pretty scary to Savannah Conrad. They could like poke you with their nose beak things and POOP on your head! Not cool, not cool. She did need to send a letter to Cody though so she kind of had to get over the whole bird fear thing. Sigh. This proved how much she really did care for Cody. She was willing to get pooped on by owls just to talk to him. Oh hey, it was the other Russell! Nekoda Russell as in, Savannah's best friend who was kind of mad at her right now! Wait, was she still mad ? Savannah didn't know any more. She wasn't going to act all scared though so she walked up to the girl, smiling. "Going to write Orlando, hmm ?"Aw, her baby brother. Savannah did love her brother lots. |
Pamphylia reallly wanted to send this note to her mother. There was so much to tell her!! The triwizard tournament, her soarting, and her new friends. "Tahlia!" She called out. Her Tawny owl was almost imidiatly on her shoulder. "Mother." She said as she tied the note to Tahia's leg. Tahlia nibbled her finger, affectionatly, and Pam pet her. She was off, carrying the note to her mother. |
Quote:
Shaking her head, Kody didn't wanna fight again, so she plastered a smile and turned back. "OMG Savannah! Superrrrr cute guy at Hufflepuff table that I just met. Seriously, he's to die for. I might just make him my flirt!buddy." |
Quote:
Cute guy ? Huffie ?"Give me DETS, girl!"Savannah said a smile breaking out on her face. Was it weird the fact that Nekoda was totally dating Orlando was flirting with other boys? Not really, well....not to Savannah anyway. Hehh."What's his name? What's he look like ?"Gah, she was so curious. |
Quote:
But no, they weren't talking about, they were talking about Hufflepuff hottie. Mmm. "Tehe, his name is Beck Salvatore. The smexiest accent you will EVER come across. Amazing hair, and his eyes? to DIE for. Seriously." SO. CUTE. |
Quote:
......Beck? Oh. Crap. This wasn't good. Why you ask? BECK WAS HER EX AND EXES ARE JUST LIKE OFFLIMITS TO FRIENDS, THATS JUST LIKE THE RULES OF FEMINISM! Savannah smelled drama, like a lot of it. The worst part was? Her and Beck's relationship was a bit of a secret at Hogwarts so kody didn't know. This was going to be hard to explain... "Ohhh....I know him."COUGH."I dated him after Aiden and I broke up...." :erm: |
TAKE IT OFF IS ON! :O *dances* Quote:
Huh? She...knew him? Frowning Kody crossed her arms, "And WHY don't you seem excited for me?" Of course she wouldn't actually DATE him, because she loved Oreo, but she WOULD flirt a little. Erm, a lot? Yeah. WHOA WHAT!? "You...did...WHAT!? Why the hell was I never informed of this! Jeez Sav! And you get mad at ME for keeping one night a secret. You didn't tell me about an entire RELATIONSHIP." Hmph. Hypocrite. |
*dances with you* WOO !!! Quote:
Wince. Mal. This was Mal which meant bad, very bad. "It wasn't like that! We had our reasons for keeping it a secret!"Savannah said, snapping at Nekoda. What was up with her and getting mad at her for EVERYTHING she did? It got kind of annoyed."I think you are just jealous in all honesty."The blonde said, her voice monotone. She shrugged, who wouldn't be jealous of her? |
O_O I see Spanish. it makes my head hurt. LOL! Quote:
Wait...what? Nekoda blinked, shaking her head, "Oh? And I didn't have MY reasons for not telling YOU?" Erm, yeah? She had. And they were prettehhhh big. Huge really. Jealous? "Get OVER yourself. I don't NEED to be jealous of you. Wanna know why? Because I have a boyfriend who LOVES me. Not multiples who only want me for my body." Sure, there were guys that DID want her for her body, but she really couldn't blame them. |
LOL. xD I love how she is saying sorry and then getting all mad. Quote:
"Take that back."Savannah said, looking at her friend. It wasn't the truth, guys actually liked her they weren't using her for snogs or anything."Aiden liked me for more than that, so did Beck as well as Cody."Uh on.She mentioned Cody, she pretty much shot herself in the foot right there. |
Emmy rushed into the Owlery, clutching a piece of folded parchment in her hand. Desperately she looked round for her owl, Dapple. Finally, she spotted her, far above her head in the rafters. "Come on, Dapple, there's a good girl! Oh, please come down, Dapple! I have to get this letter to mum!" she pleaded with her bird, who eventually consented to descend, and stuck out her leg. Emmy tied the letter on securely, and whispered to Dapple, "Fly as quick as you can, get a reply, and fly back straight away - I have to know how daddy is..." she ran to a window, released the owl, and watched until she became a dot, then a speck, and finally vanished into the evening sky. Turning, Emmy walked slowly and thoughtfully back down. |
Iris practically skipped all the way to the Owlery. She wanted, no NEEDED to owl her Mum before someone else did. When she was in the Owlery, she smiled at the people who were already in here, raising her eyebrow slightly as she heard snippets of the conversation. Ah... it wasn't worth butting into. Wands were still away and hair was intact. With a little smirk on her face, feeling quite sure that she'd NEVER need to have THAT argument for herself, Iris skipped up some steps to find the usual owl that she borrowed from the Owlery. "Heeey there, Roger. C'mere boy." She coo'd a little to get the owl to come to her. "Look, I have an important letter for you to send home for me." Heh. That works EVERY TIME. Only, this time it actually WAS important. Iris let the owl fly onto her shoulder and then sat down and took the letter out. She checked over it, to make sure that it was okay, before letting the owl take it. "Don't lose it now, okay? My mum needs to get this letter. I'll get you some owl treats for when you get back, too." Hehe. Roger was awesome. And the reason why she didn't want to get her own owl. He was practically hers. |
Fee had to send a owl to her family. Hogwarts was just awesome and her family should know that. She waked over to Baily and gave her a cookie. |
xD I know right? Quote:
Crossing her arms, she shook her head, "No. I won't. Because it's entirely TRUE." Cody?! CODY!? "Uhm, EW! And besides, I still think YOUR his rebound hook up after that cow Delanie left him. That doesn't scream 'love' to me. As for Aiden, he DUMPED you." Oh jeez, she was on a roll now. "And Beck? He was probably YOUR little rebound after Aiden. Face it Savannah, you hate being alone so you occupy yourself with little flings that mean NOTHING. Why would I be jealous of that?" |
Quote:
:errr: Savannah stood, mouth hanging open. She was shocked, utterly shocked at what Kody had just said. It stung too, it stung a lot. She wasn't even sure how to respond to that? This wasn't Ella saying this, this was Nekoda her best friend. Savannah shook her head, "Your wrong."The blonde shook her head and started to walk out of the room, tears in her eyes. |
Quote:
O_____________________________o Okay, so maybeeee Kody had gone a little too far, but her pride kept her from apologizing. Was she being a cow? Yep. A BIG FAT HUGE ONE. But she wasn't going to admit that in front of Savannah. Kodah watched her friend turn, and start heading out of the Owlery, and Kody bit her lip. Apologize? No. That wasn't an option. "I don't think I am." |
Cora stepped into the owlery and looked around for Lily. She finally spotted her near the top of the owlery. She whistled and Lily came flying down and landed on her arm. Cora looked her in the eyes and said "I have a letter for you to deliver to Mum and Dad for me. Have a good flight and take your time. Love you." Cora put the letter in Lily's mouth and she flew off. Cora watch from the window until Lily was out of view. Then, she turned around and headed out of the owlery. |
Pam dragged her into the owlry. "First stop, owlry!!" She turned around, and let go of Liz's wrist. "Whoops, sorry. I just got really excited." She laughed, and blushed a little, in embarrisment. "Tahlia!" She called, turning her attention to the owls. Searching for her brown-tawny owl. Ah! There she was. Tahlia landed on Pam's out-stretched arm, and stuck out her leg. A letter was attached from it. "That was fast. Geeze my moms talented. This is a letter from her." She stuffed the letter inside her robes, careful not to drop, so she'll read it later. "Here, just tie the letter onto her leg." |
Quote:
Liz felt the blood rush back to her fingertips when Pam let go, but it didn't bother her that she almost lost feeling permanently in them. She was having too much fun! Pam blushed and Liz smiled. She was so happy! When Pam called out her owl's name, it gracefully landed on Pam's arm. Liz had always thought owls were so beautiful. This owl, Tahlia, already had a letter tied to its leg. Pam took it off and said it was from her mom. Liz watched her tuck it into her robes, and felt a pang of... jealousy. Pam's mom could write letters to her without bursting into tears and blotting the ink. Liz wondered if her mother would ever be able to write her a letter. Following Pam's instructions, she tied the letter addressed to her dad to the owl's leg and gave it a stroke on its soft feathers. "Thanks," Liz turned to Pam, "Where did you get the name 'Tahlia?' It's really pretty." |
Quote:
"Bad Tahlia. Don't do that to others. Just me." Pam held out her finger so Tahlia nibbled it in affection. She rustled her feathers, and with a little push of her arm, Tahlia was off. "Sorry 'bout that. She likes to nibble my finger when a letter is sent, kinda like, 'yes i know where i'm going' kinda thing." She showed Liz her few scratches on her finger. "But that's ok. I need to find like some treats for her." She smiled. "So who were you sending that to? Your mom?" |
Quote:
Liz sucked in a breath as she prepared her statement, "No, my dad. My mom doesn't really write letters." Now that just sounded stupid. Whose mom didn't write letters?! "Not that she's illiterate or something," she said quickly, trying to cover herself up, "She just... doesn't. Can't. I guess. Well, not really to me, anyway. Usually she can write letters to me, but just not now. Because I'm at Hogwarts, she can't. Well, she can, but-" Liz stopped there. She was making her mom sound like a complete jerk, which she wasn't. And she had made everything a lot more complicated than it needed to be. Her mom just couldn't write to her right now. Liz expected Pam to urge her on, so she decided to close the subject, "It's really complicated. I can explain it all some other time. To the lake?" She hoped that her new friend didn't see the glassy tears that were threatening to spill. ooc: bring on the drama! haha |
Quote:
She didn't quite know what to do. But she just gave Liz a hug. "Don't worry about it. When you're ready, just tell me, K? So, to the lake?" She smiled sweetly to Liz. She felt really bad for asking it, but tried not to let it show. As she tried to get her hyper mood back by pulling Liz over to the lake. ooc: bring it! lol |
Quote:
As the warmth escaped her fingers once more, it flooded to her heart. "To the lake!" |
Sapphie walked in to see Cupid flying smack into her. "Ahh, Cupid!" she said with her french accent and giggling. She noticed a letter tied to his leg, untied it, and kissed the top of his head. "Bon chouette." she said happily and he flew off her leg. She read the note: Quote:
|
Ashley walked into the owlery and looked around for Bandit. She couldn't see him amongst all the other owls. 'Bandit?!' She called out. The beautiful snowy owl flew graceful and towards her and landed on her out-stretched arm. Ashley stroked her while asking 'Do you feel like going for a little fly then Bandit?' Ashley was starting to feel a little homesick and was starting to miss her boyfriend Dale who was back home. She wasn't sure how she'd be able to be away from him for so long if she already missed him after this short amount of time. 'I've got two letters for you to deliver. One's for Dale and the other's for Ross.' She decided it would be a better idea to send a letter to her older brother rather than her parents as they would most likely be too busy to read it. 'And make sure you do not leave Dale until he writes back. Peck him if you have to!' Ashley thought about Dale and how hard he found to say his feelings and imagined him sitting for hours trying to think of what to write back while Bandit kept pecking at him, she let out a little giggle. 'Off you go then,' she said. Bandit took off and Ashley watched him fly off into the distance until she could no longer see him. |
Carmela walked up the stairs to the Owlery. " Dora!" She called. Her little owl flew over and landed on her shoulder. "Hey, girl," Carmela chooed as the owl hooted. "I need you to take this letter to Ms.Helen and to my parents." 'I highly doubt that my parents will even glance at my letter.' "Now wait to see of Ms.Helen writes back, ok?" The owl hooted and took the two letters and flew off. Carmela watched with sadness. Her parents wouldn't like it that she had to them that she was in Gryffindor over a letter. |
Quote:
Ashley was still standing looking out after Bandit when she heard a familiar voice, it was Carmela. She waited until Carmela had finished talking to her owl then grinned and said 'Your owl's really cute!' |
Quote:
"Hey Ashley! Thanks. I would say the same but I didn't see your owl." Carmela smiled and stared after her little owl. She was scared about what her parents would say. 'Would they send a Howler?! Omg that would be so bad.' Carmela's face fell at this thought but quickly remembered she was with someone so she put her smile back on. |
It was time. Time to send a message to one of the most important people in her life. Someone she wished was there with her now, to make this not necessary. But no - Miranda was hundreds of miles away with the Harpies, doing her training, and the time until they would see her again seemed longer than ever. Wiping away a tear, Sarah entered the owlery, her parchment, ink and quill in hand. She wasn't going to write it until she got there, she hadn't been able to think what to put before then. But now, she twiddled the quill between her fingers, and then began to write. Quote:
Taking a deep breath as she watched him fly out the owlery and off into the distance, Sarah wiped yet another tear from her face. |
MJ'sheels clacked on the tile floor as she made her way to send a letter. Her mom had asked her to send a letter once she got to Hogwarts, and he she was doing so, if only a few days late. Her mother would just have to deal with it. "Glitter!" she called, her voice quiet but firm. The owl fluttered down from the rafters and landed on her outstretched arm. "Take this to Cleo,"she never called her mother Mom. Never. |
Reserved for my Twinnie and Preston's Hogwarts Mummy MJ. :D Preston thought that he'd take this free time in his day to find where the owls were kept so he knew exactly where to go when he needed to find Randall and send him home for whatever reasons. He could hear wings flapping nearby and he knew that he was close. Stepping up the last few steps his foot caught on the very last step and sent him flying into the air and eventually landing back on the floor. Preston let out a sigh as he pushed himself up with his hands and sat there on the floor of the owlery looking about. He was amazed that even the owlery of Hogwarts was magnificent. Seeing that he wasn't alone Preston hurried himself up from the floor and went in search of Randall his small owl. |
Quote:
MJ gave a quiet chuckle. "Preston?" she asked, noticing he was getting up. "Are you alright dear?" She paused, maybe he wasn't going to remember that day in Diagon Alley. "It's me.. MJ." She gave a warm smile. That boy just made her tutter around like a mother hen. And it was adorable. |
THE cutest Preston post ever. :) Quote:
"D-d-did y-you t-t-think I-I'd f-f-for-forget y-you?" He asked, he wouldn't be able to forget MJ and how she had helped him in Diagon. He'd probably still be looking for robes and books if it weren't for her. He hugged her a bit tighter, thankful to have finally found her. "I-I-I'm h-h-happy I-I f-f-found you!" he exclaimed, still clinging onto MJ. |
Quote:
"You are?" She chuckled a bit, " What, did you think I was just going to disappear?" She smiled warmly at him. "I will never do that, Preston. Ever, I promise." She knew at that second that she was going to protect this boy. Whenever he tripped, she'd be there. Had a question on homework, she'd be there. She smiled and gave Preston a squeeze. "What are you up to?" she asked. |
Quote:
Preston suddenly got an odd feeling of strong emotion when she promised she'd never disappear. He looked down at his shoes and fidgeted with the bottom of his button up shirt. He remembered his mum saying she'd never leave him...but she did. "I-I-I w-was j-just l-looking..." He mumbled softly still looking at his shoes. |
Quote:
She gave him a slight peck on the forehead, and shifted her weight to the other leg. "There's nothing wrong with looking!" she laughed genially. "We could look all day.`Anywhere and everywhere!" |
Quote:
"I-I-I w-w-wan-wanna g-g-go h-h-home." He muffled into MJ's shoulder. |
Heather climbed to the owlery and was stunned; there were so many owls she had seen in her life on this place yet and was captivated by it. She began to look around for a school owl and found one. she double-checked her letter first. Dearest Mommy and Daddy Hogwarts is amazing! Everything here is so amazing! Cass and I are fine, and I'm housed in Gryffindor! Cass got into Slytherin though. I met so many new friends mommy, daddy. I thought i never would, but everyone here seems so nice! I have a friend name Kurumi. She's half japanese and amazing! (and she's quite fascinated with magic!) It would be totally nice if you meet her! i also met a really nice prefect! Her name's Cam and she's so nice! there are more people i've also met. There's this one boy named Adam-he's one of kurumi's friends, and girl named Pacifica, she's really nice. There's also Joshua, Sophia, Saphinelle and Katie Star! Saphinelle's from hufflepuff and Katie's from Slytherin. Everyone else is in Gryffindor. I also wanted to thank you about Mr. Panda! My friends and I are loving him! He's quite as energetic as dad is though. Thanks for enchanting him mommy and daddy! I'm now practicing myself to not take my usual afternoon naps! I may be small, but i will grow tall and i'm old enough-i'm not a baby anymore! (but i'll still be for you, mom and dad!) Classes hasn't started yet, but i promise to pay attention. I'll write back my progress as promised, mommy. one last thing, mommy, daddy, could you send me some books to read and my camera? Kurumi and i plan to use it...don't worry, it's not for trouble-making! Also, can you send me some of grandma olsens' brownies? i miss them already. I miss you guys so much already! See you on the Holidays! with a lot of hugs and love, Heather. P.S. XOX Mr. Panda says Hi! she looked distraught for a moment and tried to remember what else she wanted to say. Oh yes, she forgot to write about that too. taking her quill which she was ready with in her pocket, she scribbled just below what her enchanted panda doll was supposed to have said. i forgot, the triwizard tournament is also held. i'll keep you guys informed, if you want. Love you! at this, she tied the letter to an owl's leg and watched it fly away with a smile on her face. She expects some things by the time it comes back. |
Rubiey had been arguing with herself about writing to her mother for the past week. She wasn't sure if she'd want to hear from her; she hated magic, afterall, and Rubiey knew she'd be angry if her new Husband John saw the owl deliever the letter. But Rubiey missed her. Alot. Which was wierd, because they had never been close, and it wasn't as if she hadn't been away from home before; 4 years at a Muggle Boarding School was not easy. But she had decided that she would write, and get Gabilan to put the letter through the letter box, so it looked as if it had been posted through normally. SPOILER!!: The Letter She felt a flutter of wind, and looked up; Gabilan hand landed infront of her and pecked her hand affectionately. "Hey boy." She said softly, stroking his black head. "Take this home, but make sure you post it the normal way, so it doesn't look magicy. Hang around for a bit; if you hear your name, bring back the letter for me." She looked into his big green eyes. He understood. "Have a safe flight." She said, and watched him fly out of the window, until he was out of sight. |

Time for the monthly letter to Grandmother. Eirian grunted... this was the first of the series. But she had promised she would write once a month if Thiago was to attend Hogwarts with her. Sigh. She'd begrudingly follow this condition, since she was trying to stay within the lines the rest of society fit her in. Why couldn't she try to cooperate with the old hag, too? So, letter in hand, she approached one of the school letters. Her scarlet ibis was home for the school year; she had taken a rather nasty bite to the leg from Eirian's pet snake, Fino, and was still in the process of healing. Merlin, owls scared her. For some reason, beyond her dislike of them, they would get all huffed up if she approached them. Often, they attacked her. They could smell her fear. They were demons! But Eirian was brave - the daughter and sidekick of an explorer had to be - and so she continued to inch forward, the owl staring at her and her staring back. The gaze was held until they were close. Very close. And then... owl attacked. And Eirian shrieked. |
Quote:
o______O "Is that your owl?" She asked the brunette, curiously. |
Quote:
|
AHHHH IT'S SHORT. :O Sorry, will be longer luff. (: Quote:
|
That's alright xP I'm terrible at lengthy replies Quote:
|
Quote:
"Hopefully you will be able to rewrite the letter soon though." Hayley said. "So what year are you in? I see that you're in Slytherin however." She said pointing towards the house crest upon her robe. She thought that Eirian would be smart enough to figure out she was in Gryffindor, but that was beyond her to know if she was smart or not...then again she seemed like it. "I'm in my 5th Year." She stated. |
Quote:
"It does not matter," Eirian muttered. "I do not like my grandmother all that much, anyway." Chuckle. That was such an understatement... "I am a fifth year as well... and you are a Gryffindor, I see." Yet another reminded of- Great. She was obsessing about him. It. AH! "What school is boarding with you all?" |
Quote:
She doesn't like her grandmother? Hmm, why? But she didn't know this girl well enough to ask, so she wouldn't. "Ooooh really? That's great! You can be one of my new friends! Well if you would like to of course." She said with an excited expression. UHMM, HELLO. NEW FRIENDS WERE AWESOME. Uhmm, whhuuuutt? "Excuse me? Sorry I didn't understand your last question." She said confused. |
Quote:
"I love new friends!" she exclaimed, grinning widely. "I need friends... Most people cannot put up with my accent. I can get very... unintelligible?" It was much easier in Brazil. No one questioned her voice... only her abnormal ghostly appearance. "Well, Slytherin has Beauxbatons staying with them, and I have heard about Durmstrang staying with both Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, but I do not know if that is true... Who is staying in Gryffindor?" |
Quote:
"Uhm, I'm not sure, what you mean." Hayley said with a confused expression. What was this girl talking aboutt? |
Quote:
"There are not visitors staying with you?" Eirian asked, surprised. "I have Beauxbatons invading my dormitory... they irk me very much." |
Melanie raced up the stairs leading to the owlery, a bounce in her step. Clutched in her hand was a small package, wrapped clumsily in newspaper and tied with a big, bright yellow bow. Attached with spellotape was a folded letter. In big blocky Melanie letters on the front it read "FROM ONE BADGER TO ANOTHER"... and underneath that written smaller was "To Miranda Belcanto of the Holyhead Harpies" Inside, it said... SPOILER!!: letter Her owl flew down from his perch when she entered, flying little circles around her head and pulling a few strands of her hair out with his beak. After a few moments, Bugle calmed down and seated himself merrily on the window ledge, with a little hoot! of approval. Clearly, the elf owl was happy to see her. Melanie smiled slightly, patting him fondly on the head. She only hoped the load of the chocolate frogs wouldn't be too much for him to carry. Gently, she tied the parcel to the foot of her bird. "Take it to Miranda kay', Birdy? And no chocolate on the way." she ordered, waving him off. Bugle fluttered out the window, sinking a little at first, and then climbing determinedly up into the air. She watched until he vanished from her view, and then Melanie turned. She climbed swiftly down the stairs, smiling to herself. |
Quote:
"Oh you mean visitors!" Hayley said finally understanding it. "I'm not sure actually." She shrugged. |
Jainie walked into the owlery, her letter to her parents about her first few days at Hogwarts clutched in her hand. She whistled to Gerry, her owl, who came and perched on Jainie's shoulder, sticking her leg out. Jainie stroked her feathers and tied the envelope to Gerry's leg. She walked over to the window and waited. With a nuzzle and a hoot, Gerry launched herself from Jainie's shoulder and took off into the light sky. Jainie watched as she flew into the distance., envying the ability to fly. |
With her wellington boots on, [knee length, to cover her poor legs] Lori trudged her way from the kitchens to the Owlery, in an attempt to send two or three letters. She had two, but she needed to write another one, it was just finding a seat in the Owlery that wasn't covered in poop. Letters in her hand, she sighed as she got to the stairs leading up to the Owlery. It was so noisy up there... what were people doing, having a PARTY?! How.. peculiarly stupid. Moving to the side a few times, to allow others to come down [she obviously felt she should have gone first, but her badge made her be nice. HMPF.], Lori was getting rather impatient. These letters were very overdue, her brother had been promised one the first day of term, not after nearly two months. But she had been so busy, busy with stuff. Finally at the top, she attatched the letter for Donnie from her and then the one to his parents from both she and Adam, to her owl Arizona's leg. "You know where you've gotta take them. Do NOT let Donnie's parents take his letter, mmkay? He might not get it, or something. Good girl." Giving her owl a little kiss on the beak, Lori grinned and sat down. Poopless seats FTW. Quote:
By the time she had finished her letter, her eyes had brimmed over with tears and a few had escaped onto the letter without her knowing, leaving a few little smudges in the pink ink. Blowing quickly on the ink to let it dry, Lorelai got out the pink, yellow and black ribbon strings ready to tie it. Once the ink was dry, she did exactly that, pairing the yellow and black up into a bow around the rolled up letter, and then the pink on it's own, to signify it was still her here. Still the pinkpuff. "Now, Arizona, I want you to take this to Miranda, okay? Now, go. Be good! AND NO PECKING PEOPLE!" The last bit, she had to shout, for her owl had gone, and was heading into the distance now. Oh, Miranda. |
Quote:
"Yes," Eirian muttered, still put off by her revelation. A frown settled on her face... This wasn't good. But why not? It just... wasn't. |
".. It's just for a few minutes, damn!" Louisa was shouting when she stepped into this 'open' chamber at the top of the tower, holding Enya's hand and literally dragging her. "See? This is my letter, I've written it few days ago and now you stand here eat your plate while instructing me how to choose an owl and direct her." Louisa took her white envelope out of her pocket and waved it in front of Enya as she frowned. She was really not sure about writing to her mom considering the fact that her mother wasn't so pleased with this whole magic thing. However, Louisa wanted to stay in touch with her family and letters sounded like amazing right now. She looked around looking for Jenny who was supposed to be in the owlery as well. She was sure that she gave her the right time, she could wait till Jenny show up and then they could go back to the common room. Many owls were flying around or just standing there pecking their bodies or staying still. Louisa scanned them carefully trying to pick one that looked 'bright' to deliver such a letter to her mother. SPOILER!!: Louisa's letter |
Nice one :) Quote:
"Let go of me!" She shouted at Louisa as she was finally dragged through the Owerly doors. Scowl. Finally with a free wrist she grabbed hold of her plate with two hands. She knew it was pointless to try and run for the door, specially carrying her food, so she didn't try. Enya sat down on the floor - a clean spot! - and glared at Louisa for bringing her here and where was this 'first year' she was suppose to have to meet. Gosh not more excited and annoying people!? She asked herslef before asking her best friend, "So where's this girl then?" |
Merlin. There was a stack of letters in Raiden's hands as he made his way up the stairs to the owlery; they were at least seven in number, and more than one was rather thick. He'd written a lot. Only one of them lay flat, as if the envelope were empty. Turning them over in his hands, he shuffled through the stack, looking at each name on their fronts. His father. Emmalee. Plymouth, because for some reason poor Plymouth always caught letters from Raiden when he was losing his mind and doing stupid things. Celandine. Nico. Daphne Hopton. And a certain former professor. Poor army of owls that would be delivering this lot. They were likely to become the victims of screaming and shaking at a few of the destinations. The prefect, one of the newly appointed Hogwarts Triwizard Champions, reached up to where the beams of the ceiling arched down and met the wall and waited for an owl to hop onto his arm. This lot needed to be sent out as soon as possible. So Daphne could come back to Hogwarts and kill him before any of the tasks had the chance. |
bc we dont really play much <3 Quote:
The brunette stood for a moment, watching, before she remembered she'd trekked up the stairwell for a reason. She needed to send her sister a letter. The older one, whom she just heard of her engagement to her Hogwarts sweetheart, despite the fact that the engagement happened two plus months ago. At least one member of her family still regularly communicated with her But before she could send the letter, she reckoned that someone needed a pep talk. "Prefect Kururugi? Is everything alright?" she asked in her concerned voice, despite the fact that she knew everything wasn't. "Well rather . . . i mean . . . peppermint?" Because they made everything better. |

At the sound of feet ascending the stairs, Raiden glanced toward the doorway, pausing in his activity of tying a letter to a particularly impatient owl. The thing stomped its foot on his arm in protest. Ah, a professor. The boy went back to what he was doing, expecting that she'd quietly do her business while he did his. The owl took off, flying out over the grounds of Hogwarts and taking Daphne Hopton's letter with it. He hadn't expected the professor to approach him or even talk to him, so when she did, he was... er, slightly surprised, to say the least. His arm lowered, preventing an owl from jumping onto him, and he looked at the woman. "At the moment, Professor?" he asked, mustering half a smile. When she offered peppermint, he nodded, vaguely remembering someone doing the very same thing once before when he'd had a stomach ache. This wasn't a stomach ache, but... well peppermint couldn't hurt. "Just a bit... overwhelmed. Never had so many people tell me not to die within such a small amount of time." They were only saying what he assumed most everyone was thinking, but... well. It didn't really need to be said, did it. Wasn't like he had control over anything. He couldn't tell them to not use dragons in a task, or anything like that. He subconsciously tightened his grip on the few letters remaining in his hands, wrinkling the edges a little bit. |

"Amazing, huh?" Fina mused, leaning against the wall of the owlery. "It's like... until your life is maybe at risk. Until something grand happens to you, you didn't even know people noticed you. And then, all of a sudden, it's like BAM! and you're all of a sudden the most popular guy." Rambling lesson from Fina? Totally unexpected. Not that she knew any of that from personal experience, since she generally was on the invisible side of the fence. But she could still relate. "Look, I don't know what to tell you, except ... if you ever need a place to vent or just breath, my office is an open door." She paused, looking meaningfully at him. "To you or any of the other champions." |
"You might not want to lean, Professor," Raiden murmured, gesturing toward the wall. "We are in the Owlery." And the walls weren't exactly safe from the owls' droppings. Which was why Raiden never, ever touched anything up here. Merlin help him if he ever tripped, because it would be a disgusting mess. "'s more like... nobody seemed particularly bothered about my doing stupid things until the second my name came out?" He managed half a grin. "What with being prefect, a lot of people knew I was around. They just expected me to be intelligent and not do something that could potentially kill me." He paused. "But I guess it's kinda like that. Lots of people who didn't bother talking to me before, suddenly popping up left and right to tell me about my imminent death." He said it almost with an air of amusement. It was true. His existence was a lot more important to people now that it might actually end sooner rather than later. "I appreciate that, Professor," he said, inclining his head slightly as thanks. "As it is, I've been sitting around in the dorms more than I probably should have, the last day or two. It... kinda gets boring in there though." But it was better than being stared at, or warned against dying, or everything else. The silent room had more confidence in him than a hell of a lot of the voices at Hogwarts. He looked down at the letters in his hand, and with a frown, flattened the wrinkled edges. The one on the top of the stack read, in obviously hurried handwriting, 'Professor Truebridge'. Oh, the poor owl that would have to deliver that one. |
Quote:
"Oh okay. Well I just wanted to know your opinion." She said simply. It was always better if the guy you like's best friend approves of you. It always helps. Hayley noticed a frown upon Eirian's face and she arched her eyebrow. "Sorry, was it something that I said?" She asked. |

Louisa came across a grey owl with white spots all over her chest. "This one looks cute, doesn't she?" She stroked her gently and smiled. "Would you deliver a letter for me dear?" She said sweetly. The owl didn't react at once but stopped pecking around and unleashed her wings with a wild wave. The little girl stepped behind a bit, "Wow! That was a confident yes." SHe giggled looking at Enya who was so absorbed in her plate. "I don't know when Jenny would be here. I should just attach the letter to this lovely owl by the leg right?" She turned around to face Enya. The owl flew and landed on Louisa's head. "Oooh! She's so friendly." Louisa giggled and reached out for the owl to stroke her while on her head. "Aah. What was I thinking when I got Kitty?" She said trying not to shake her head. She didn't want the owl to fly away so soon. |
Sorry it's rubbish. Quote:
Enya stood up. She didn't even bother answering the question about cuteness, one look and she knew the bird wasn't as nice as Ziva was. She loved Ziva, she was the best! And the Prettiest Owl there! Eye roll. The girl was talking to the owl now! Asking it a question. Crazy! She giggled. Enya looked over at Louisa again, rasing her eye's to the other girl's lateness. Gah! She wouldn't be here all day! She had places to be, people to see ect ect. But before she could say anything on that matter she heard her best friend asking her if it was right to put the letter on the Owl's feet? Well duh! "Where else are you going to put it?" She asked rolling her eyes. Enya liked Kitty...well a little, and she really wouldn't know what she'd do if Louisa got rid of her and got a Owl. Even though the cat was annoying! And Owl's were better. Sigh... |
It had been two weeks since Rubiey had written to her mother, and still no reply. Everyday she had trudged up the stairs to the Owlery, and scanned the katrillions of owls to see if she could find her beautiful black owl, Gabilan, anywhere in the crowd. She knew he would have come and found her if he had returned, but she still searched in vain. Today was no different. And again, he wasn't here. She hoped he hadn't got lost, or hurt. She stared out of the giant windows, hoping to see a small black dot in the distance... |

Eirian sighed. She had spoken too much again, hadn't she? For once, she almost hoped that her accent had slurred the words into something beyond comprehension, only to leave Hayley confused and wondering why the lopsided smile had left Eirian's face. With her luck, she had probably lost her accent for that moment in time, leaving it all crystal clear and up for judgmental interpretation. "I am sorry... I did not mean to say so much," she murmured. "I only have no one to speak to about such things... Thiago does not like hearing of Jayce, you see, and visa versa." |

"Hello," Jenny said timidly. She just stood there after that...how do you deal with people you shouldn't mess with? Just a single movement and the whole room would explode... |
SPOILER!!: Enya Louisa kept stroking the owl, "I don't know. We could attach a tiny bag to the owl's neck and tuck the letter in there." She smiled shiftily. "We're in a MAGICAL school if you remember." Yeah, it was a fact Louisa found hard to forget with all those moving pictures around. She took hold of the owl and placed her in front of her on the ground. Louisa then crouched and started tie-ing the letter... or tried to. After several failing attempts she gave up, "Would you stop eating for a moment and tie this for me? She keeps moving her leg!" This owl wasn't cute right then! SPOILER!!: Jenny Just as Louisa was complaining about the owl, Jenny rushed into the owlery. "Jenny!" Louisa exclaimed making the owl flying away with the letter in her beak. Louisa's head snapped towards the owl angrily, "Hey you! Come back here!" She started hopping to reach for the owl which stood on a rock coming out of the wall. "Come down here please!" She sounded desperate. She started to jump again while talking to Jenny, "How come you're late?" She said between the hops. |
Bonnie needed to send a letter. Well, why else would she be here? SPOILER!!: Da Letter "Take that to Vanessa Campbell puleez." She smiled at the bird and watched it fade into the sky. |
Ohhhhh Danika.......... ;) ;) Fletcher was almost out of energy when he reached the Owlery at last. Hufffffpuffffffwhooohoooo. They weren't joking when they made this castle well... a big ole castle, were they? No siree. But at least all this exercise, climbing from the kitchens to this tower, was good training for the tournament. Right? Right?! The boy paused just outside the door to the owlery and rested his hands on his knees, catching his breath before he went inside. Never knew who would be sending out letters this time of night. As it were, he himself had a stack of about four to send. Just four though. He didn't have that many friends or family interested in the goings-on of the Triwizard Tournament. After a moment, Fletcher regained his composure and flicked his hair back from his face. He strolled into the owlerly like he owned the place and stood smack dab in the middle of the room, dark eyes scanning the owls for one that would be worthy of Champion GlitterPuff. |
Mr. Fletcher ;) Three letters. Danika was carrying three letters. And, of course, since no one was going to be here at night, then she still had the time to finish up the last one while in here. Except, the owlery didn't seem to be free of people at all! There was one boy, you see. "Fletcher!" she exclaimed, very unlike her, but she was caught by surprise, "I mean, good evening Fletcher" she nodded, as she looked at the Hufflepuff Champion. Well, there went her three letters, she only had two of them complete, and those will be the ones she'll be sending. She took the half finished ones and placed it in her pocket. No, Fletcher didn't see that. "Hoe are you today?" or tonight, which ever. The girl finally entered the place in the look out for the one owl who would most likely resist colder environments. |

She finally found a beautiful brown barn owl perched on the lower parts. She petted it for a while before tying the letter to the owl. SPOILER!!: letter |

She didn't partically want to meet the girl, she was only there after all because Louisa had dragged her there. Sigh. But then she heard the girl talking to her. She looked up at her for a moment before setting her plate on the floor next to her and leaning her head back against the wall ignoring the girl completely. Enya rolled her eye's at her best friend's sentence. Yeah how could she forget how to send a letter. Eye roll. She sighed and watched Louisa trouble with the owl. Course she remember'd where she was. Jesus! Enya didn't respond, she really didn't see a reason to. She giggled a little when she watched Louisa get into some trouble with the owl she had. It was a funny sight, but after a few minutes she sighed and stood up. She walked over to where the bird was and gestered for it to come down. Saying, "Come here...please" She didn't have to wait long before the owl itself came down and rested on her arm, smiling she turned towards Louisa stroking the owl. Time for the girl to send her letter. While she was looking at Louisa she peeked at the new girl - Jenny and gave her a nod. |
Quote:
When Enya finally stood up and told the owl to come over, Jenny was amazed at how easy it seemed compared to when Louisa was struggling with the bird. Then she noticed something. Enya gave a nod to her! Well, for a rude person, it's great that she acknowledges Jenny's existence at least. Jenny quickly gave a nod back to Enya. |

"Danika!" he returned the greeting, finishing tying the letter with a little flourish. "Off you go," he said to the owl and shooed the grumpy bird out the window. He dusted his hands off and turned around to speak to the girl. "I'm doing well.... how are you? Been preparing for the first task?" He quirked a brow with the question. |
He was sending letters as well. "For your family?" she asked, eying the owl which just left. The boy was probably letting them know about the Tournament? Most likely, or not, these kids in Hogwarts seem to send plenty of letters for no particular reason. Strange. "Fine" she said, with a smile on her face. Now, which owl? Which one can go through the coldest skies. A smirk grew on her face as he asked a question, "For every task, Fletcher, not just the first one" there was a nod somewhere in there before she spotted a black owl that will most likely do the trick. "Have you?" she asked, eyebrow slightly raised, "Been practicing any spells, or potions, or just plain exercise?" because getting up here was quite some exercise. And one of the She then spotted a gray one. Huge one. That one will go farther north. "I vonder, is Fletcher your first or last name?" she asked, tilting her head to one side, the now-worn-loose dark red hair cascading to that one side. Because she paid little attention to the Goblet of Fire after her name was said. |
Sorry for the late... and this totally fails XD Quote:
Few seconds passed before the owl obeyed the girl and flew away. "Let's hope mom doesn't freak out." She mumbled before turning back to her friends. Uh Oh. Enya was acting kind of 'coldly' to Jenny. Typical. Quote:
"So, Jenny to whom did you send your letter?" It was the stupidest question Louisa could come up with but she really needed to start a conversation. |
Fail! Quote:
Looking up when she was introduced, she nodded her head again, showing no smile or anything. She leant back, best get all this over with. She thought as she looked over at the girl's again. "Hello" She said quitely. |
To Aiden Sadie had to hike all of the way from the low Slytherin icky dungeons ALLLL the way up to the owlery. That was something not person should ever attempt when they're wearing six inch heels. Her feet were aching when she got to the top and she had to catch her breath before continuing inside. Phew. That was her exercise for the day. She fixed her hair which was braided to the side and carefully folded the pink piece of paper in her hand. It was marked to here grandparent's who lived in Texas right now. Her mum was making her write to them. At least mam-ma bought her pretty things and gramps liked to ride out in the wild west with her. Speaking of west she forgot she was going to California over Christmas break at some point. YAY! She got to see the Cali boys all over again. |
Quote:
SPOILER!!: To Patrick Dubois Just after Archimedes flew on out, he heard someone approaching from behind. Aha, Sadie. "Hey, Sadie." His eyes lowered to her shoes. Heh. If she walked up all those steps in those, this girl was crazy. |
6,000 post!!!!! *dances* You're lucky! Quote:
"Do you have any preference on one of these owls who won't bite and can fly a distance?" she asked him. Like over the sea distance. Actually one of these messenger owls would carry it to a post office in some muggle place. Then it would reach her grandparent's. |
Adam walked into the Owlery and got out a piece of parchment. He waited for Kurumi before starting. They were gonna brainstorm how to talk to this Alex person without revealing too much or putting Adam nor his family or friends in danger. He flicked his feather up and down, out of pure boredom...What was he even gonna write about.... |
Whoaa, 6,000! xD Quote:

Taking the letters out of his mouth, Fletcher approached Danika and watched her interact with the owls. Huh. "Oh yes," he nodded enthusiastically. "Mostly I've been working on the exercise bit. But I think I'm going to amp up the defense training here soon...." Maybe he shouldn't be telling her that. He raised a brow at her for a moment and folded his arms. "Take a guess." |
Quote:
Danika laughed, without looking at the Champion. Just the exercise? "Feel free to indulge in procrastination and never practice" she said, eyes on the boy now, and a little wink. It worked to their advantage if he never practiced, unless he was naturally talented. Then again, they were all naturally talented. What? Danika straightened herself, apparently the owl was now becoming even more difficult. Her head tilted towards the boy, but her eyes were on the owl. "I say last, vecause 'Fletcher' as a first name is odd, then again, I think it vould ve an interesting name to have" given the fact that her own name was quite common in her country. She eyed him for a moment, deciding to let the owl grow accustomed to the fact that it will be sending a letter far away from Hogwarts. "Vhat is your first?" |

He turned around and saw her eying him -- not that he wasn't used to such looks from the ladies. ;] "It.... is my last name...." he admitted slowly. "But I really hate my first name so you won't get it out of me that easily." Fletch shook his head nope, like mum's the word. |
Cass entered the owlery with a roll of stationary parchment and her pot of green ink. It was cold up here, and for once, Cass wished she had decided to wear leggings under the green skirt that she had put on instead of her uniform. But, she was already here, so going back to the common room would be counterproductive. She placed her things on a windowsill and sang softly as she waited for her own to recognize the song. As usual towards the end of her song her owl, Cygnus, came swooping towards her arm. "Hey there darling..." Cass said as she ran her hands over Cygnus' black feathers. "I want you to deliver something for me...alright?" The owl merely hooted in response as she placed her (the owl) on a perch while she wrote her letter. Quote:
Then she watched as the owl flew off and she sighed. |
