Alex blinked, "Well most people dislike bookworms.. hate them in fact and most people probably think i'm an insane, pyromanic, Lafay loving, know-it-all." Alex told him before quickly kissing his cheek, he was a great best friend and an even better boyfriend.

"I can deal with three out of four of those, but I know you're not a Lafay lover, so it's ok." he said with a grin. He was starting to think that lo...the L word was in the air, but he would never dream of telling her first.

Alex smiled at him, "I just respect her work, she's one of the best Potion Mistresses in the world after all." Alex told him, knowing something was on his mind and not knowing what it was.

"Yea, her work, I can respect I guess, but her teaching methods? No, not even close." he said, letting his mind wander. What would happen if he told Alex what he felt.

Alex nodded in agreement, "I know but apperantly i'm a mini Lafay when I teach." Alex stated chuckling slightly amused. Zane seemed to really want to tell her something and Alex wanted to know what it was but didn't want to pressure him into telling her.

"You know I was just giving you a hard time in Muggle Studies." he said, hoping that she hadn't taken him seriously. He finally made up his mind to not tell her unless he was sure that she wouldn't freak out and hurt him.

Alex rolled her eyes, "I'm pretty sure Professor.. Law..something thought it as well." Alex repiled steadily, she wouldn't let it bother her. "Besides I know you would never do something outright mean." Alex added smiling at him.

Vanessa heard someone say her name and she looked up through the blinding sunlight to see Savannah. She hesitated at first but smiled. Hopefully everything from the ball was over with and they could just move on. She quickly swallowed the chocolate frog that was in her mouth and put a hand up above her eyes to cover the Sun.

"Hey Sav. I haven't seen you in a while, what's up?" She asked. It was true, Vanessa hadn't seen anyone since the ball and that was quite sometime ago. She really needed to catch up with everbody.

Vanessa closed LilaDelilah and pulled out a chocolate frog. "Would you like one?" She asked her. The question brought her to a memory of Bonnie asking her if she wanted one before. Bonnie was definitley rubbing off on her.

"Well, I don't really care what they think, I think you're amazing. I think I lo----uh.....yea..." he said, not even bothering to try and finish the sentence.

Alex whipped her head to stare at him, "You think you what?" Alex asked not wanting to believe, to consider he was about to say it and did she want him to? Yes Alex knew she did.

Zane was taken aback, "What? I think I.....uh......I'm honestly not sure how to say it." he said, looking down. He thought he had utterly failed and that she was about to beat him or worse, walk away from him forever. He couldn't let that happen.

Alex blinked a littl.. a lot of hurt and offended, "Alright, you don't have to." Alex reassured him smiling, "You can tell me when your ready to." Alex added on the end thoughtfully, she wouldn't force her boyfriend into telling her, she wasn't cruel after all.

"Lex......alexithinkiloveyou" he rushed out, then properly passed out momentarily from the sudden loss of oxygen.

Alex blinked trying to translate what Zane had just said before he passed out.. which was hard but hey she wasn't freaking! Nope.. Alex pulled out her wand, "Aguamenti." Alex chanted watching Zane get hit by the stream of water. Please be okay Alex was chanting mentally what on earth had he said to her before he passed out?

Zane was rudely awakened by a jet of cold water. "blugh....drown....ing" he choked out.

Alex blinked quickly cancelling her water charm, "Finite." She muttered stopping the water. "Now what did you just say?" Alex asked curiously hoping it was what she thought it was.

"Thanks, now I gotta dry off." he muttered under his breath trying to avoid her question. Finally he got the courage, "Alex, I think I'm falling, well, have fallen, in love with you." he looked down, utterly defeated. He knew that she was going to A. Hex him into oblivion, B. Beat him to a pulp C. Up and just leave D. All of the above.

Alex opened her mouth, closed it and instead of saying what she really wanted to out came, "I love.. books.. to!" Alex flinched as soon as the words escaped blushing madly and hid her face in her hands moaning, She didn't even know how to explain that mess up, she meant to say it back.. instead she said something else entirely!

Zane's heart soared when he realized that she wasn't leaving and was maybe going to say it back, and then...NO! BOOKS!?!? Well that told him everything. He was an idiot and now he had just told Alex his feelings and she turned him down. "I....I....uh.....sorry." he said, getting up and walking away, almost towards the Willow. Maybe the tree would finish the job....

Alex cursed herself repeatedly, not even caring what language she was using. "Zane wait! That's not what I meant to say!" Alex shouted once she looked up and stood, she ran in front of him not caring she was near the willow not caring they were too close. Alex gave him a begging look, "I meant to say that.." Alex was afraid to finish the setence, it was illogical to love so soon right? "I.." Alex could practically feel her heart pounding in her chest and the words seemed to refuse to come out.

"Duck!" Zane said, knocking Alex to the ground to avoid the tree limb that was swinging towards them. He then got up and drug Alex out of the range of the tree as quickly as possible, receiving a few lashes from some stray branches from a thick limb.

Alex huffed angrily, pulled out her wand again and pointed at the tree, "Immobulus!" Alex casted the freezing spell she learned about. She then looked at Zane pulling him away from the tree to see his injuries. "They seem to just be light.. meaning and don't worry when you feel the injuries become hot and then cold." Alex told him, "Episkey." She casted carefully watching his injuries heal. "I love you, you idiot." Alex told him tearfully afterwards hugging him tight now that he was healed.

"You know, that was almost sweet until you called me an idiot." he said, crossing his arms.

Alex really didn't want to get into a disagreement, "Your right i'm sorry." Alex agree with Zane smiling tearfully. "I'm sorry I was the idiot this time, a stupid logical idiot that almost got you killed." Alex muttered mostly to herself.

"Almost got me killed? No, I did that myself, if anything, I was about to get you killed." he replied, hugging Alex close to himself.
