"Ravens? The birdbrains?" Selena smiled. "I don't feel like attending school with the living dead," Selena joked. "They need their brains, those Ravenclaws were probably potential Slytherins, just that though they had knowledge, they weren't devious enough," Selena said smugly. Selena was proud of the fact that she was a Slytherin.

"Nice to meet you, Savannah. So what classes are you looking forward too?" asked Emma smiling.

Cassandra walked into the dormitory. Eyeing around cautiously, she smiled at the girls.

I don't mean to intrude, but I'm a first year as well," Cassandra said holding out a hand for one of the girls to shake. "I'm Cassandra."

"Hello Cassandra," Selena smiled. I'm Selena," Selena said as she shook the other girl's hand. "It's nice meeting you," Selena smiled. "I'm a first year as well."

"That's brill! It's nice meeting you too, Selena," Cassandra said, smiling. "I think we could be fast friends. What do you think?"

"Perhaps," Selena said, she couldn't make that promise. "So, can I call you Cassie or something? Because you're name's awfully long," Selena said sheepishly.

"Ah a clever one, aren't we?" Cassandra mused aloud, glad that Selena wasn't as thick-headed as the others and was willing to wait before jumping into a friendship. "You can call me Cassie, Cas or anything else you'd like. I really have no preference."

"I guess you can say that," Selena shrugged. "So, how's Hogwarts for you?" Selena asked.

"Hogwarts is pretty fantastic. Better than i could have ever hoped for. The hardest part is finding all the classrooms, I think," Cassie said, good naturedly.

"I'll say," Selena smiled. "But it's nice here, what courses are you interested in?" Selena asked.

Cassie thought a moment.
"well, I think i'm going to have to go with Potions and DADA,. What about you?"

"Hm... quite a bit actually, Potions, DADA, Astronomy, Divination and Charms," Selena shrugged. "All the classes seem pretty interesting... so I guess I'm okay with all of them except Herbology," Selena decided.

"I hear you about Herbology. I mean, who really wants to be in a class where plants can bite your arms off?" Cassie said, a small smirk on her face. "No thank you!"

"Or eat you alive?" Selena said. "I wouldn't be surprised if you never catch me there at all," Selena added, "I love flowers, but definitely not any of them that talk, have teeth, claws, or anything else that a flower shouldn't have," Selena said.

Leilani walked inside the dormitory and stopped. Woah. It was .... different. It matched the common room in some ways but it was deffinitely different. Finding her bunk, Lani carried Coffee over and dumped him down on it. She tossed him a waffle from her bag and laughed as he devoured it. Stupid cat.

Etoile looked up from her book and saw Selena talking to a girl she'd never seen before. Deciding to me a little more civilized, she put the book down and joined them.
"Hi." she said to the girl. " I guess we haven't met, I'm Etoile."

Cassie laughed. "What kind of a death would that be? teenage girl eaten alive by a growling tulip. I'll leave the plant fondling to the hufflepuffs." Cassie looked over at Leilani who seemed to be preoccupied with her cat.

"Hi Etoile. Pleased to meet you. I'm Cassandra, or Cassie." Cassandra said, smiling at the girl that had walked over to them.

"Hi Cassie. Looking forward to start some classes?" She thought back to the book in her bed side table.

"A death that is more than likely to happen in Hogwarts," Selena smirked. "Let's try to get a Hufflepuff eaten by one!" Selena giggled jokingly, of course. She didn't want to lose house points or get expelled.

"Excellent idea!" Cassandra announced with a wink. She didn;t want to be expelled either. "I'm sure he Hufflepuffs are too gullible...it wouldn't be as fun. Now a Gryffindor on the other hand..." Cassie trailed off, giggling at the silliness of the idea of a flower eating the students.

"indubitably! I can't wait. I saw you reading. Are you a bookworm as much as I am?" Cassie asked, smiling brightly, glad to have two friendly people she could talk to. "Selena and i were just talking about how we were not excited to take herbology, as I'm sure you've heard. What are you looking forward to?" Cassie asked, genuine curiousity in her voice.

"Yeah, dare them. It's like daring them to jump off the Astronomy tower. Their pride gets in the way." Selena smirked.

Cassie looked at Selena wide eyed. "You don't think they'd really jump do you?"

"Probably not..." Selena smiled. "But it's a nice thought..." Selena giggled.

Cassie giggled too. "it is indeed a nice thought. I'm sure we could get the Gryffindors to do lots of things to 'save their pride.' I wonder how arrogant they really are."

"Some might not be," Selena said, "but some may..." Selena shrugged. "I'm going to head off to bed," Selena yawned as she covered her mouth. "Sorry to cut this conversation short," Selena said as she smiled slightly. "Good nights, talk to you tomorrow," Selena said before she walked over to her bed, and drew the curtains closed.
