Blushing at Lady Lawson's comment, she took a closer look at the Snidget. She had only seen them in pictures so the little creature was fascinating to her. Watching Vincent fly on the professor's shoulder, her eyes lit up at the offer to hold him. "Yes, please."

This was it.

Destiny was tired of his shenanigans, and if he didn't stop, she was shipping him to her grandmothers. One day there, alone, would whip him into shape in no time. But she did not want to resort to that, since he was still, technically a baby kitty. He may not look like it, but he was.

The only other person besides her grandmother that might be able to fix him would be, none other the Care of Magical Creatures Professor! Which is where she was...standing outside a hut she has never been into. Walking up to the door, with her cat, Sly, under one arm, Destiny extended the other to knock. She was going to knock very hard and very loudly, but stopped herself as she remembered there miiiiiight be a baby in there. She wanted to HOLD it and teach it how to say Lawsonator! That would have to wait until later though, since fixing Sly was top priority at the moment.

*Knock, knock, knock*

Hopefully Professor MorganLawson heard that.

She was of course slightly oblivious to the other students with the exception of her best friend as they spoke to Lady Lawson. She was much more interested in the items the filled Lady Lawson's hut, having never been inside it before.

Running her socked feet over the rug, she slowly began to work her way around the room, looking at all the pictures and awards before moving on to cage. "How are you doing Lady Lawson? How's Ava?" As she eyed the cage curiously, she didn't bother to question where the infant was assuming her to be with Sir Lawson.

"Thanks Lady Lawson!" Smiling widely, Ivory followed her friend's lead and placed her small shoes near the entrance and giggled when her friend said exactly what it was that she was about to ask. Of course she wanted to know about the baby! It was a baby! And an extremely cute one at that.

Although she was a little crestfallen that baby Ava was asleep, Ivory didn't let it bother her one bit. After all, this way they got to talk to Lady Lawson without worrying that they were taking her away from her mommy-daughter time.

Professor Lawson nearly giggled when she saw Arya pacing the floor in her stocking feet. She watched as she peeked inside of Vincent's cage and wondered just how high she'd jump if (or more likely WHEN) his tiny head came springing up at her. HA! She'd never see him coming.

We even got to spend two weeks with eachother, one with each of our famil-IES." The last part of her sentence ended up in a slight yelp as a bright bird flew forward in the cage making her jump about a good foot in the air. Almost immediately she erupted into giggles speckled with a few funny snorts of laughter. Wow. That bird was truly a one of a kind. Not many birds she knew of had the ninja skills that this one did.

Oh how she'd missed Lady Lawson. Only she could make her laugh this much.

Arya looked at Lady Lawson with a sheepish grin, "You could've warned me." A hint of laughter in her voice. Gathering herself, she step closer to the cage and studied the golden creature with bright eyes. "Is this a......" She paused thoughtfully, "....Golden Snidget?" Oh yea, she knew her magical creatures. It is her favorite class, so of course she had opened up her book on creatures over the break. Spotting Josey, she gave the girl a little wave.

At once, Vincent zipped out of his cage and perched contently on the professor's shoulder. "That's right, Arya," she said, petting the snidget's tiny head. "This is Vincent. Would you like to hold him?"

In awe, Ivory stared as Lady Lawson whistled and directed the small snidget onto her shoulder. "Oh but he's adorable!"

Staring at its tiny features, Ivory giggled again. Bringing her arms out she gave a small curtsy. "Good afternoon Vincent. I'm Ivory and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Carefully, the professor took the little bird into her hands. She leaned in close, muttering quiet, soothing words as she turned the owl this way and that. When she was done examining her, she took out her wand and tapped the broken wing gently.

With the wing mended, she reached into her pocket and brought out some of Vinnie's favorite treats. She handed the treats to over to the boy... (she still hadn't learned his name) and said, "I have a tonic I can give her to help her feel better. Why don't you feed her some of these while I run and fetch it?"
"Magnolia! Aww what a pretty name," she said, turning to face her. "It is lovely to meet you."

Hearing the young girl's question, Iliana leaned forward and whispered in her ear. "You're going to learn so much this term. I think you'll be VERY pleased." Then she stood back up and shook her head. "There isn't today. But I'll definitely keep you in mind if I think of something."
Iliana smiled and let out another sharp whistle. She pointed towards Arya's shoulder and within seconds, the tiny bird, fluttered over and gave her a happy chirp. "Oh I was right! He DEFINITELY likes you," she announced.

"Thanks," she said, smiling proudly. "I've had that little guy since he was a baby. Can you imagine he used to be even tinier?" She laughed quietly at the memory. Vincent had been her first 'baby' after all. And Ava was already just crazy about him. He was even smaller than her stuffed animals.

Ili reached into her pocket and pulled out the last of the treats. "Would you like to feed him?" she asked, reaching into her pocket and pulling out the last of the treats. "I'm so glad you girls stopped by," she added softly, dropping them into her hand.
Iliana turned slightly and looked towards the door. "Come in. The door's open," she cried out.

Gasping every single time the Professor moved little Send to and fro and almost exploded with worry as she took out her wand and... the wing went back to where it usually was.

YAAAAAYYYY!!!! Looking up with admiring eyes at the Professor who saved his owl's life, Ty took the treats from her and nodded. "Okay, Professor! Thank you so so so so much! You saved her life!" Ty gushed as he began to stroke Send gently, feeding her the tiny treats carefully. He wouldn't want her to be sick.

As the owl hooted in thanks, Ty beamed at her then back at the Professor. MIRACLE WORKER, she was. See!! Hogwarts Professors were AWESOME - there was no way his mother could have just tapped the wing and made it heal. AMAZING.

Grinning, she watched as the Snidget flew to her shoulder. He was so SMALL, Arya was almost scared to touch him, almost. Reaching up she gently stroked his chest with two fingers. "I like him, hey Vincent." She murmured.

Looking up from the Snidget, but still stroking him, she listened to Lawson. "Where did you get him from?" She couldn't believe that he was smaller than this.

Ellie came back to the nice COMC teacher's office. She wanted to ask her something. And she hadn't had her class yet, so she couldn't judge Ellie yet. So she was still that nice, sweet, girl Ellie ought to be.

KNOCK KNOCK.

It seemed awfully quiet in that hut. Destiny knew it was quiet because she had her and Sly's ear pressed riiiight against the door. Sly didn't like that much, but cats do have super hearing, right?

Or was that dogs? Ehh.

When she heard the Professor call out for her to enter, Destiny almost dropped Sly right out of her hands. The cat didn't like that either. She shifted him under her arm once more and opened the door. "Hullo Professor!" she greeted as she entered and shut the door behind her. Looking around the hut, her eyes fell on the yellow creature known as raccoon girl, and on the shoulder of that creature sat a bird! "Don't worry. Sly won't eat the bird. He only eats grass."

Which was the reason why she was there.

Iliana chuckled quietly. The owl was in pain but not quite dying. Still. She would take his gratitude graciously and give thanks for the kind words. "You are very welcome," she said, placing an arm around his shoulder for a little half-hug.

"And as promised," she said, pulling a tiny phial out of her pocket. "Put 2 to 3 drops into her water each night before bed. You can expect her full recovery."
"Actually Arya, before coming to work at Hogwarts, I worked at Modesty Rabnott's. Do you know what that is?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Was it evil of her to ask CoMC questions during social visits? She thought not. There's never a bad time to teach/learn.
And once again, there was the door. Leaning against her desk, the professor lifted her head and called out, "Come in. The door's open."
When Professor Lawson saw Destiny enter, she didn't even attempt hide her shock. "Well what do you know? Do thine eyes deceive me?" she asked playfully. "Miss Shepard, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

It was normal to see Destiny loitering around whenever Marcus roamed. Evelyn too for that matter. But this... Well it was the very first time she had EVER graced her with her presence. Outside of class at least.

With her statement, she eyed the cat and grinned. "I'm not worried," she replied nonchalantly. "There's not a cat on this planet that could catch him."

She... hugged him. o_O Blinking a few times, Ty finally decided to pretend like it had never happened. Yes, that would work. Because violently pushing her away and telling her to stay AWAY from Tyler Adams physically, would not be a very polite thing to say to his owl-saver.

Not at all. "Right, thank you Professor! Thanks a LOT!" he nodded, still pretending that hug hadn't happened and took the phial from her. Two to three drops - got it. Picking send up gingerly and perching her on his shoulder -where she thankfully stayed and didn't fall- Ty shot a last beaming grin at the Professor before leaving the room to go back to the owlery.

He'd use one of the school owls this time. Send will get better soon enough.

Ellie peeked inside.

"Er.. Hello again, Professor Lawson." she said, smiling all innocent- like. No, she didn't do anything bad. She just thought the teacher might think it weird for her to be back.. so soon...

Scratching Vincent's belly, she mused over the place that Lady Lawson had mentioned. Sure she read a little about magical creatures over the summer, but it wasn't that much. It was still summer after all. And she only skimmed over the section about Snidgets, though now she would go back and read it properly.

Still, she knew enough to make a somewhat educated guess. "Um, some kinda Snidget reserve or sanctuary?" Professors, they were always trying to teach, weren't they?

Kate was wondering what staff member she could ask for help. She haven´t meet CoMC´s Professor yet, but this was a good chance to do it before class.
She reached the.... hut´s? door and knocked twice "Hello, Is someone in there?"

Professor Lawson cocked her head. The girl looked nervous. Being timid around her was just silly. She smiled widely and waved the girl inside.

"Don't be shy, dear. Come on in."
"Very good, Arya. It IS a snidget reservation," she answered. "And you see when Vincent was born, his mother was injured. She died shortly after and so I cared for him. He's been with me ever since." She had been walking towards them as she spoke and reached out to pet Vincent's head. "He thinks I'm his Mommy now." And well... she was.
Turning from the bird, Iliana cleared her throat and called out. "We're here. Please come in."

Ellie smiled. No weird looks. That was a good thing.

"I was wondering if you'd help me with my Arithmancy homework. We need to ask a staff member to find their personality and destiny numbers." she explained, parchment and notes and quill and ink and stuff in her hand.

Kate crossed the door timidly. "Good day Professor. I'm Katherine Pots, first year, gryffindor." She said that really quickly damn! I AM nervous...
Almost shaking she added "I...I wanted to read you something about numbers, I don't know if you heard about the Core Numbers, and if you have some minutes to listen..." Kate said, smiling. Then, looking down at the floor "it's for homework..." she added.
Why my hands can't stop moving???

Professor Female Lawson looked REALLY shocked to see her there..it was either shock, or that's how the woman looked all the time..No, Destiny never seen her look like that before. Buuuut, she was in her house, so perhaps the woman just didn't have make-up on..hmm.

She blinked a few times as the Professor spoke in some old lady language. Destiny had no idea what the woman was talking about, something about her eyes? Heh. Nodding to whatever was asked, she took a few more steps inside, and smiled. The hut was nice and..cozy-ish. Looking around, she heard Female Lawson ask what was owed and, whaaaat? "You don't owe me anything.." she mumbled turning her attention to the Professor. She blinked a few more times, and realizing what was REALLY meant, shook her head. Hehe, oops. "It's him!" she pointed to the cat under her arm, "He eats grass and shoelaces. Can you fix him?"

Because he was obviously broken.

Her eyes flickered to the little bird as Professor Female Lawson said no cat could catch him. Good thing, too for Destiny really didn't want her cat to drop birds on her face..like he did with the grass he ate.

Aww, poor little Vincent! She felt bad for him and his mommy, but thought it was all good in the end since he got to have Lady Lawson as a mommy, not a bad deal if you asked her. Stroking the creature she came to realize to things, one that she was hungry and two that Destiny. The little puff prefered to stay away from the girl if it could be avoided, but really it seemed like an immpossible task.

"Um, I'm gonna go to the Great Hall now and eat, but it was great to see you again. Maybe next time I'll be here when Ava wakes." She beamed up at the woman. Yes, she wanted to PLAY with the cutie pie. She gave Vincent a few strokes then waited for Lady Lawson to call him off her shoulder.

"I'd be happy to help, girls" she said without hesitation. It would be easy enough. And she was pretty sure she knew what the girls needed. She HAD taught Arithmancy herself, after all. "My FULL birth name is Iliana Aurora Morgan."
The professor gave Destiny at confused look. "The grass eating I understand. Some cats will eat grass to help soothe an upset tummy. But shoelaces?" she paused. "Really? The poor thing."

"About how many times, would you say?"
Still slightly weirded out by the "shoelaces dilemma", Iliana didn't pick up on the new tension in the room. Or take notice to Arya's hastiness to leave . Instead, she just smiled and whistled for Vincent to return to his cage. "I'm sure she'll be awake next time," she said. "I'll see you soon."

Smiling, she hugged the CoMC professor. "See ya later, Lady Lawson." She glanced at the shoelace eating cat (what kinda cat eats shoelaces?) as she let go of the woman and left the hut, steering clear of Destiny and heading for the Great Hall.

Approaching Lawsons hut Alex knocked on the door hesitantly. He needed to ask her some questions about caring for the Clabbert and he needed to find someone to do his History of Magic homework on too. Maybe, if he was lucky she'd be willing to oblige both.

Destiny smirked as Ayra decided to leave. She tried to see around the little Huffie, looking for a gaze of raccoons to be trailing her, but there were none. She must have left them in the Forbidden Forest, where they belong!

As the girl left, Destiny turned her attention back to Sly and the Professor. "Cats are supposed to eat grass? For upset tummies?" Heh. No wonder why he had an upset tummy, he ate GRASS! It seemed the grass eating wasn't that big of a deal, and she made a mental note to tell this to Evelyn, but the shoelaces..she glanced down at her own shoes with no laces in them.. "Only once I think. I haven't seen anyone else walking around without shoelaces."

Which reminded her, Marie had an extra set of laces in her trunk!

yay Professor Lawson agreed to help! Hip Hip Hurra Professor!

"Thank you so much Professor! If you could wait a few minutes so I can do the math part...Then I would read to you the meaning of the result." yay! Kate was so excited!! I love Arithmancy!
She took out a notebook and a quill and said: "I will calculate your Destiny Number"

“I’ve just finished!” Kate showed the parchment to Professor Lawson

“See, your Destiny Number is the two.” She said, pointing the digit in the parchment. “Now, this means, according to the Textbook, that…..”

Kate took out the Arithmancy book and searched the meaning she was looking for.

“Found it! Number two: Your mission in life is to engender harmony. Your purpose is to seek cooperation, find balance, and be a patient team player - all to develop your sense of relationship. You need to learn compassion and to be emotionally receptive. Being adaptable and persuasive will bring you closer toward your destiny. You're destined for peacemaking. Go forth and share it….Wow, you’re kind of a Magic Mahatma Gandhi...He was a peaceful muggle, very loved by people, and also very hated. But we all love you, Professor! What do you think about?” She added….

But suddenly….

“Wait! Your Destiny number turned to be 2 because I have to sum 1+1…That’s 11! And there’s a special mention to that number, see?”

Kate showed her Professor what she was talking about:

“Hey! You sound more like Gandhi now…It’s a hard work to lead…”

Kate looked at Prof. Lawson and waited for her opinion

Okaay. So she needed to do her history of magic homework. And who better to ask about their history at hogwarts than her favourite teacher in the whole world of teaching. With her cute red and gold clips in her hair, because she'd gotten sick of yellow ones, the blonde wandered down to Professor Lawson's hut, with a big smile on her face. She loved Professor Lawson. When she got there the girl knocked on the door, before waiting for an answer.

Ellie nodded and took out her parchment to write on. Then she pulled out her textbook to help her with her calculations

"I think this is right..." Ellie said. "So your Destiny number is 8, and that means," she flipped through her textbook before quoting it, "'Your mission in life is to acquire command of self. Your purpose is to accomplish and flourish, using your skill at business and organization. Learning to embody your authentic nature and discover your own power and being visionary will move you toward your destiny. You're destined for material success. Get out there and be the masterful leader you were born to be.' How does that sound, Professor?"
