Zane nodded, writing down what he had learned. He pointed his wand to the dummy and said, "Petrificus Totalus" watching as the dummy's arms and legs lurched together. He sprinkled some Fourfoil on it, watching the smoke roll of the doll. |
Disintergrate? Now that would be amusing to see. However, she wasn't about to go and cast an unforgivable either so she would just have to imagine what that would look like. Mashing up her Fourfoil once more, still imagining it was her parents again, the Slytherin stared at the dummy doll thing, considering which type of smoke it would be. Having been staring into space when she stopped grinding the Fourfoil, Evelyn had not noticed Destiny take some of hers until she had looked down and noticed that there was some of the plant stuff missing. Really. She could've asked. Raising a brow at her friend, she shook her head and scooped up the rest of the Fourfoil before putting it on the dummy doll before sitting quietly and staring. And staring. And waiting. Pfft. Oh, wait, there it went. And the smoke waaaaaass... blue? Her spell was a charm? Bahaha! A charm sounded too pretty of a name for what it did. But, whatever. At least now she could categorize it. |

"Huh? Oh, yes.. I'm perfectly fine," Sage smiled nervously, "thank you anyway." SEE? They were nice. Right. Quote:

Looking over at Professor Dodson, Evelyn smiled back at him before it turned into a slight smirk. He still seemed nervous or something. Not as much as when she had visited him in his office for the Arithmancy homework though, but it was still somewhat noticeable. Perhaps she should've made the smoke yellow or something. hehe. |

"Doesn't that make the use of Fourfoil an unreliable method for aurors, sir?" she asked, thoughtfully. "I mean, a criminal mind would know well enough to cast a harmless spell at the target person or object, before they leave the crime scene. The aurors couldn't use the Fourfoil to identify the last spell cast on the victim, then." Unless there was a way to do that, that the class hadn't been told. They were only studying the basics, after all. She glanced at the Slytherins who wanted to know stuff that the average eleven year old wouldn't have any interest in. Be scared of, if anything. Then again, maybe these kids didn't actually realize what they were talking about. Gold remembered the battle that had taken place at Hogwarts last year, and wondered if it is possible to understand certain things until one actually faces them. Comes in unwanted contact with the horror. Shuddering at the memories she hadn't thought of in a while, she quickly turned her attention back to the mannequin that lay in front of her. Lowering her hand, she petted Logan again, using a non-verbal Finite to nullify the effect of the three spells on him, and then bringing the ground Fourfoil close to the mannequin again. So that she could see what colour of fog the Finite would result in. Oh, and the class was full of a colourful smoky, foggy haze. Gold half-smiled at the rainbow-ish mist all around. |
Dianna watched the other students try out the fourfoil. Noticing how the Professor got nervous and all she began to wonder if he was uncomfortable with her house. Not all Slytherins are scary.. she thought as all of the doll's hair fell off again and grew back as the green mist evaporated in the air. She should stop doing that spell. It makes her look creepy. Bwahaha oh well. |

"So there we have it, blood petals, the Fuffletuff Bloom and Fourfoil.. three plants that can come in quite handy to an Auror investigating a crime scene," Sage said in conclusion, "plants that aren't around just to look pretty, but that have useful properties." Just like the Healing plants they'd looked at last lesson. He gave his hand a wave, trying to clear more of the rainbow mist. "Your homework will be posted on the announcement board. Class dismissed." |
