Amy heard the door open and shut and burried her face even more

Patrick decided to reside in an empty classroom he found. After explaining to the Healer lady what he did he just wanted a place to think and be alone. It was probably around 9 o'clock at night. The classroom was dark and slightly musty. He coughed from the dust. The boy was seated in a corner on the floor, he legs crouched and a hand on his forehead. Even though he wouldn't have liked to admit it, tear streaks lay on his face.

Vanessa was walking down the corridor, slightly bored of what to do. She heard someone coughing from inside a classroom and she peeked through the door. It was empty but she could see that someone was in the corner. He seemed pretty sad and she was hesitant to go over. She shook her head at her kindness and walked inside the classroom. "Are you okay?" She asked putting a hand on his shoulder and kneeling in front of him. He actually looked pretty familiar but she couldn't see his face so wouldn't know.

Patrick was extremely surprised to feel a hand on his shoulder and hear the so familiar voice he had come accustomed to. "No not really," he admitted, closing his eyes as he realized it was Vanessa. He probably seemed so weak right now but he was scared and felt guilty all in the same amount of time. "Ness," he whispered with his eyes still shut, wondering if she recognized him.

Vanessa had to think of who it was she was talking to because apparently this guy knew who she was and she probably did too. She put her hands on his face and raised his head to look at her. It was Patrick and he had tear streaks on his face. Her eyes widened. "Patrick? What happened?" She asked worried now. She took her hands off his face, blushing a bit and sat next to him. She knew she wasn't really supposed to be talking to him, but she wanted to help.

He felt her hands on his face and a little sense of relief washed over him with the gesture. Patrick opened his eyes and looked at her. She asked what happened and he really didn't know if he wanted to respond to that or not. Something was pulling at him to tell her the truth. "I--I stupified Trixie," he whispered in the dark. "I had to tell the Healer everything Vanessa but I'm scared still. Scared for me and scared for her. What if she wakes up and has forgotten everything or something?" he asked, taking her hand in his for some sort of comfort.

Vanessa's eyes widened. She knew she couldn't yell at him because it would just make her feel worse. Why would he be so violent though? There had to be a reason. There was always a reason. Her heart slightly fluttered as he took her hand but she sighed, she knew that it probably didn't mean anything. "Hey it will be okay." She said slightly squeezing his hand. "Why did you stupify her anyways?" She asked softly.

"No...it won't," he told her with his voice cracking. He took in a deep breath and let it out just so he wouldn't cry again. He was so stupid. So so stupid. "I was in a bad mood and she was pestering me and I reacted violently," he explained, looking over at her in the dark. He could still make out her face even if it was hard. He knew he shouldn't have. Patrick knew that he shouldn't have blown his top.

"Do you want to tell me why you were in a bad mood? You don't have to if you don't want to though." She said looking back at him. If he acted violently there had to be a big reason why he did so. Trixie didn't make him mad it had to be something else. "I won't tell anybody, you know you can..trust me." She said sighing. "That is if you still do."

Patrick sighed and tried to think back to why he was in such a terrible mood. "My parent's had been sending me letters and continually reminding me about me future. My already arranged marriage and job. Then I said something about how I had been feeling bad because of my diabetes and Trixie kept asking what was wrong and she started driving me crazy," he explained, looking straight ahead at the moon outside the window and the stars. He felt a pang of hurt as she had to include if he still trusted her. "Of course I do," he said softly.

Vanessa looked down. "Arranged marriage? Who are you going to marry?" She asked playing around with her purple bracelet, not trying to act so interested as she really was. "Have you spoken to Trixie yet?" She asked then she slightly smiled as he said he trusted her. She looked back up at him and smiled. "I'm glad you still do. I was beginning to doubt especially after the whole fake relationship." She sighed.

"A girl from France. She goes to a small school there and we've only met twice," he whispered, looking over at her. He saw she still wore the necklace he gave her and picked it up. "I'm surprised you haven't taken it off," he smiled slightly to himself. After the way he treated her, she could have taken it off. "She's still out cold," Patrick answered, letting the necklace go. He hoped she would wake up soon. "You've kept my secret. Sure I was sort of shaken but I won't hold it against you," he said in a soft tone, giving her hand a squeeze. Even if she wasn't the girl he was dating, she was still a very good friend.

Vanessa nodded. "Do you want to get married to her?" She asked, knowing that he would probably answer with a yes. If he was going through with it then it would probably have to be a yes. She blushed a little as he picked up the necklace he gave her. "It's special to me." She smiled, then noticed that they got off track. "Oh but don't worry about Trixie, she will probably be perfectly fine." She nodded and smiled a little as he said he wouldn't hold it against her.

"No. The sooner I find a girl to love here or wherever I go after this the better. I have to marry her when I turn 21. If I can get engaged sooner the engagement can be broken," Patrick said, thinking about why it was so important. He was afraid he was going to be a terrible husband though. Then who knows how soon it would be until he was a father. "I'm glad it holds some meaning to you," he grinned, putting and arm around her shoulders. "I can only hope. I'm going to have a terrible time forgiving myself if she isn't."

Vanessa was a bit suprised as he said no but was saddened at the thought of Ella and him getting married. "Do you think you'll get married to Ella?" She asked curiously. Once he put an arm over her shoulders, she sighed. "Patrick, I thought we said we were going to move on? That we weren't going to be friends at the moment, I'm confused." She said looking down back at her bracelet. "She has to be fine though, then again did she hit anything else?" She asked.

"I don't know. She's only 15. I can't force her into anything too early and we've barely even started anything in our relationship," he responded, looking down at his knees in thought. He wasn't even sure if he was going to be able to find someone by then. "I never said we couldn't be friend's. Believe me, I'll go insane if we aren't in each others lives. I just think it's better to not think of us as a thing." He would really miss her if she wasn't in his life. She seemed the only one able to calm him down. "Just the brick wall behind her," he said with sarcasm. That made have caused brain damage.

Vanessa nodded. "Are you going to tell her though?" She asked. "About the arranged marriage?" She added. She listened as he talked and smiled to herself. He always made her feel better for some reason. "Okay, I guess I can agree with that." She said hugging him for a few seconds then pulling back. She wanted to question why exactly she was so important in his life but decided against it. "Ouch." She said cringing in the thought of Trixie hitting the wall. "Did you get a detention or something?" She asked worried now.

She then thought of something and conjured up a wet piece of tissue and wiped it on his face getting rid of his tear streaks. She then conjured it away and laughed. "Sorry it was bothering me. It always seems to bother me whenever my friends cry or have been crying. It makes me feel bad." She shrugged.

"I will eventually," he figured, looking over at her. The sooner the better he guessed. "I told Trixie though so she may tell Ella." That was if she remembered anything or else she may be brain damaged for the rest of her life. "I'm glad," he smiled, and hugged her back. It felt good to just be friend's. "I don't know. The Nurse never gave me an answer," he explained with a tiny shrug. He probably did. The adults were going to think it was serious enough. Then again he was an adult.

He was surprised when a wet piece of tissue touched his face and just chuckled as Vanessa explained herself. "You weren't the one who cause it. I've just been worried and stressed in general lately," Patrick informed her, his mood dampening again.

Vanessa nodded. "Well whoever you marry I can tell you'll be a great husband." She nodded and slightly blushed. "The whole flirting thing will wear off eventually." She shrugged. It might've been her opinion but she could see that he probably would be really great to the person that would be his wife. "Hmm, well do you want to go visit Trixie in the Hospital Wing? I haven't yet and I guess it seems like everyone else has." She said looking up at him.

She squeezed his hand trying to give him some sort of comfort. "You know my mother always told me that no matter how much drama, stress and everything else that was bothering me could go away for a few seconds if you just think about all the people who love you and care about you." She said looking out into the darkness. That might've been one of the most cheesy lines her mother had ever told her but she kept it to heart. "Maybe you should try doing that, Patrick. It might help." She shrugged.

Bonnie ran in triping over her feet. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She sniffed and fell flat on her face, her reason, tears blurring her blue eyes and making her vision fuzzy. Mommy... Mommy... Her thoughts wept. Fresh tears flowed over her eyes. She pushed herself off the ground and ran over and hugged over to Vanessa. She threw her arms around her older sister and wept. And wept. And wept. "I-I l-l-l-looking everyw-w-where. Mom. Heart attack. D-d-dead."

Vanessa heard someone coming near and saw someone enter the classroom, tripping and falling. The person came over and hugged her. She could finally tell it was her sister, Bonnie. Before she could ask anything she spoke, stuttering like crazy and she could only get bits and pieces.

"Bonnie, calm down. I can't understand if you won't calm down." She said letting go of Patrick's hand, blushing a little and stroking Bonnie's hair. "What's the matter?" She asked. "Was it Damon or Luna that made you mad or something?" She asked oblivious to everything that Bonnie had said.

Bonnie wiped her eyes on the back of her hand. "Nessy..." she whimpered.

"No." Bonnie blurted out. She chewed her lip and then, finally after thinking over the words she said, "Mom's dead." Hurt filled her and she resisted the urge to vomit.

Vanessa's eyes widened. She knew that she heard it but it had to be a joke...right? "You're just joking, right? Is this one of your little jokes that you always play on me or something?" She said shaking her head laughing a little. "You almost got me too." She said laughing.

Patrick smiled at her and appreciated the encouragement she was giving. He needed it to convince himself everything would be alright in the end. It may not be. "I'm glad you think so. I'm not so sure though," he informed her, not seeing the blush she gave. "We can't. The nurse won't let us. Not yet at least," he explained, thinking back to being in the Hospital Wing. He wondered where Ella had run off to. Probably the common room or something.

"Your mum seems correct," he chuckled, thinking about the words she had spoken. People you care about and love. He aunt, cousins, Ella, and...Vanessa. She topped them all. No one could make him feel as happy as she did which is what made her a great friend. "I can't say I won't still be stressed but maybe that little proverb will help," Patrick figured.

When he saw Bonnie run in he sat up a little straighter and his expression turned into one of concerned. Dead? "Bonnie, I'm so sorry," he said in real sympathy with a panicked looked on his face. He looked at Vanessa who thought this was a joke. It couldn't be. Why would her sister be freaking out so much? "Ness," he said quietly, looking at her frowning.

Vanessa shrugged. "You never know until you're married I guess." She said. She listened as he told her about how they couldn't go to the Hospital Wing. "Oh, well once we can I'll go with you just in case she wants to hurt you or something." She laughed.

"My mum's usually right, most of those times I don't listen to her though." She smiled to herself. "It might help, just thinking about those people and not thinking about any other thing for a few seconds takes some stress off of me." She said looking up at him.

She stopped laughing and looked over at Patrick. It finally had hit her and she could barely speak. It felt like her throat was filled with sand. "Mum is...de..dead? How did she die Bonnie?" She said feeling tears fall down her face.
