Room 3 of the Hospital Ward and Healing Area Banner by: Gryffindoll OOC: Before posting in this thread, you must first have been called back by Healer Ashford. To be seen by the Healer, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first then in the Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors. |
Having taken the cloth from the Healer with a small smile, Jake had wandered through to the room 3... place... thing with his head bowed and the totally bloodied handkerchief Dylan had lent him tucked into his other hand. Now he was without Lawson or Dylan, he was feeling... pretty nervous. But he'd deal with it. "Oww," the boy whispered to himself, pressing the cloth gingerly to his nose. |
Walking into the room behind Ellie and Jake, Marcus lent up against the wall so as to not get in Ellie's way. "It's okay Jake, I'm here. Ellie, will take good care of you." This was the first time he had actually met the healer but she was good friends with Iliana, so that made her good friends with him. |
Oh great he wasn't about to be left alone with sick people. Most of them seeming to be unconcious. Who did that nowadays? No smart person should be unconcious, you miss all the hot ladies that way. Like the Healer. She was quite cute. Not as cute as Hot Lawson, but sufficient enough. He stood up from his seat in the waiting room. Damn, Awesome Lawson was here. That meant that he had to pretend he had bust his ankle again. He hobbled to the room Jake seemed to have been placed in. He peeked his head round the corner. "Ummm do you mind if I join? I kind of have nowhere to go. And I want to check Jake is ok." |

"Come on inside. You can take a seat on the bed just next to Mr. Upstead," she said, nodding towards the bed she was referring to. "Are you injured?" She eyed Marcus, wondering if he knew anything of the Slytherin boy's injury, as well. |
With a small pout, Jake looked over at Lawson and wished the man wouldn't stand so far back. The boy did as he was told and threw one of the cloths in the bin... but the other belonged to Dylan... he wouldn't throw that away. Wide-eyed and oh so scared (magic to the face was a scary thing) Jake stared at the Healer, pale and trembling. |

Once she'd wet a cloth and squeezed the excess water from it, Gabriella said, "Now if you get uncomfortable in any way, just squeeze my arm a little." As soon as the words left her mouth, she shook her head, indicating she'd changed her mind. "How about you just pat the table instead, hmm?" Without glancing away from Jake, Gabriella replied to Dylan's comments about tending to his own injury. "You're ankle seems to be twisted, or at least that's my best guess without examining it first," she replied. "Marcus? Would you mind taking a look at Dylan's ankle, while I tend to Jake?" She certainly didn't want a child leaving out the Hospital Wing injured! |
Shaking only ever so slightly, Jake was about to nod his head before he thought brletter of it and whispered "Yes" instead. He wouldn't pat the table, no matter how how painful it got, but the boy braced himself anyway. Hearing that Lawson was going to tend to Dylan's ankle, Jake's eyes briefly widened in alarm. But then it left again and Jake just stared Nervously at the Healer. This... would hurt. He knew it. In fact... It did already. "Hurts." |
Quote:
She tilted her head to the side as she examined Jake's nose. It was indeed broken, but she felt it useless to say that aloud. Of course he already knew that much. He already felt that much. "Alright, Jake, close your eyes. When they're closed, I want you list any ten magical creatures you can think of," she said. She knew it sounded random, and she knew he'd probably find it silly; but she also knew him seeing a wand pointed directly at his face would make him even more nervous than he already was. |

A competent camper...he was NOT! |

All these thoughts ran through Jake's head as he stared at the man, his brow creased in worry, feeling himself rock back and forth to comfort himself (by this point the Healer wasn't touching his nose). Unable to say anything for fear that his voice might go all wibbly and upset, Jake just blinked and looked back at Ashford. Quote:
"Unicorn," he muttered to himself, kind of crazily. "Unicorn, wwwwhite, pure, unicorn free..." Okay... slightly calmer... "Sphinx... luhh-lion, evil. Lion. Evil lion. Puh-pain." Erm... maybe not. "Thestral, death, thestral, see death, death, Set, Kyle, Helios, Abby, death death death..." Oh Merlin, he was running out somehow. "Snidget..." |
Quote:
"Jake I want you to close your eyes and remember the time we went to the beach. Now concentrate, can you hear the sound of the waves? Feel the sand between your toes and the sun on your skin." He looked over to Ellie and indicated that she should do what she had to...and quickly. |
Quote:
Quote:
Jake's nerves must have halted process, because the shifting stopped, and Gabriella had to whip her wand around in two quick circles to get things moving again. The Thestral mention didn't help matters much either. Quote:

The beach... yes... he could do that. Jake closed his eyes once more. Quote:
Weird. The boy was just trying to remember what it had felt like, the first feel of sand, when a popping noise (which in his opinion was LOUD) was heard, and Jake's eyes snapped open. That had freaked him out. Jake reached for the man's arm and squeezed it tight. Feeling... queasy... |
Quote:
Quote:
Marcus didn't even flinch when Jake squeezed his arm but he did look at the kid in alarm when his face turned a faint shade of green. "Please tell me you're not going to vomit?" He looked over to Ellie as if to say 'do something.' Because he did NOT want to be vomited on. Marcus could handle a lot of things but being spewed on was not one of them. |
Quote:

Quote:
"He's going to vomit," she half-whispered, confirming what Marcus feared. Of course the boy could prove them both wrong, but at this moment, the outlook wasn't brilliant. Gabriella glanced at Marcus, and automatically she understood just what he was saying---or not saying, actually. Words weren't needed this time, though. Dropping her wand, Gabriella snatched the nearest trash can and placed it, as gently as possible, into Jake's hands. There were some things magic just wasn't fast enough to catch, and the sudden urge to vomit was one of them. However horrible the situation, Gabriella thought it best to go ahead and complete the mending of Jake's nose. The boy would feel much, much better once that part was behind him. Besides, she imagined vomiting would be far more painful with the strain of the half-broken nose added to it. Acting quickly (before he could vomit all over her), Gabriella circled his nose a few more times, a final pop sounding as she did so. |
Dylan heard vomit. Oh no no no. That was not going to happen. Not around him. He hated it. He needed to get away from the vomit as quickly as possible. He jumped down from the bed he was perched on, with a crack. His right leg crumpled beneath him. You have to be kidding me! Is this punishment for faking a sprained one??? "Ow," he whimpered, from his place on the floor. At least he couldn't see any vomit from here. He could just hear it. |
Quote:
But he wouldn't be sick if he could help it. No way. Quote:
The next popping sound, however, made him WANT to be sick and all the rest. As it was, Jake pulled his feet up onto the bed and hugged his knees to his chest, dropping the trashcan but still not letting go of Lawson. At least his nose was fixed. "Ughhhh..." Jake groaned, disliking this current feeling. Evil Gryffindor... Well... he hadn't been sick. |
Quote:
Without wasting a single second, Gabriella levitated Dylan onto the bed next to Jake. It looked like he'd have to go through the same process his friend just went through. Quote:
Come to think of it, though, Jake might feel better not having to sit through Dylan's healing process. "If you don't think you can stand to sit through seeing the same process being done on Dylan, though, you may leave. Only if you take things slowly and watch your step, though," she added. Turning back to Dylan, Gabriella quickly examined his leg and determined that yes, it was indeed broken---in several places, as a matter of fact. She casted the same charm on him that was once casted on Jake. The only difference, though, was that the circling of the wand was directed towards Dylan's leg. |
Ok so Dylan had done a stupid attempt at escaping. He had attempted to escape for no reason. Jake hadn't even been sick. How dare the two teachers suggest vomiting if it wasn't going to happen. "Well we can try and get it healed by ice pack," he said, eyeing the pain that Jake went through. He was levitated back onto the bed. "I think I can walk now," he nodded, trying to get up off the bed. |
Quote:
Looking dazed and confused, Jake looked up at the man with a pleading look. He needed to talk to the guy anyway, and he didn't want to leave on his own... since he felt icky anyway. "Thuhh-thank yyyyyou," he mumbled, talking to everyone in the room. Oh... he needed to go. One look at that leg was enough to make him nearly swoon... |
Oh thank god Jake hadn't vomited because Marcus hadn't felt like being the next patient. He'd spent enough time in here as it is. His first year at Hogwarts had seen him in here as a patient on more than one occasion. And it seemed that every time he ran a class, a student or two needed to go to the hospital wing. Not sure what that said about his teaching methods. Just as he was heaving a sigh of relief, Dylan was on the floor and there was quite a loud crack. Hmm...that was karma right there folks. Marcus looked between Dylan, Ellie and Jake. What was he supposed to do? Jake was hanging off his arm for support and wanted to leave. But what about Dylan? Shouldn't he stay to see if Dylan was going to be okay? "Um...Ellie. Should I stay and help with Dylan? Or should I get Jake out of here?" Yep he would leave it up to the healer to decide, she was the professional here. |
"Duhh-don't even nuhh-need your hhhelp," Jake muttered, releasing his hold on Lawson as though he'd suddenly been hit with an electric shock. The boy avoided looking at anyone here, suddenly feeling very upset and wanting to shout and scream and whatever. Why? He didn't know... "Yuhh-you ssstay with yuhhh-your ffffavourite sssstudent," Jake added, feeling as though those words should be said with spite but not managing it. Without another word, Jake left the room pretty swiftly for someone feeling a bit dizzy and queasy. Mind you, he probably wouldn't make it far. Sniffle. |

Pop! That was the sound of the last of Dylan's broken bones popping into place. Gabriella dropped her wand and smiled at the Slytherin boy. "All mended," she said. "Now I'll need to brace it, so you may be down for a little while. The good news is that you'll be dismissed as soon as the brace is secured." |
Quote:
Quote:
"Sorry about that" he said as he started to move towards the door. "Dylan when you're feeling better we'll head off for that drink in Hogsmeade." Marcus made his way out the door after the following the little brat that had just left and who was just about to receive a very stern talking to. |
Pop? Where did the pop come from? He eyed his leg. His leg had done that. Wow. That actually hurt. Dylan clenched his teeth, and closed his eyes. Not unbearable. He was merely getting an injection. Just a jab. Not resetting his bones at all. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes again as the pain receeded. "Brace it?" he frowned, "Can I wear my trainers over it?" Oh he was not going around with only one shoe on. That was not cool. Dylan nodded, as Professor Lawson left, "I would like that very much Sir." |
Quote:
Quote:
Pushing herself off her stool, Gabriella headed out the room for just a minute or two. When she came back, she was carrying Dylan's new leg brace in one hand and a set of crutches in the other. She tilted the crutches against the bed then began snapping the brace into position. Just as she promised, it didn't cover Dylan's foot at all. "The brace will be worn for about a month. You'll have to be careful not to get it wet or damaged. If you do, just come back in, and I'll replace it," she instructed. She eyed Dylan for a moment, wondering if he'd be the type of kid to break all the 'leg brace' rules she just gave him. "Your broken bones, by the way, are healed. The leg brace is to give you a bit more support while your leg regains some strength," she added. Extending her arm for support, she began to help Dylan off the bed. Standing with a brace would take some getting used to. "You're dismissed, Mr. Denver, but remember to exercise caution." |
Quote:
"Can I take it off to shower?" It was a good question, since he couldn't get it wet. "Don't worry I won't break it. I don't do anything extreme." Just means he couldn't play anymore football. Woot. He nodded, and shimmied off the bed. Wow it felt weird. He leant on the bed, to accustom his leg to the change. He grabbed hold of the crutches, "Seriously, are these necessary?" |
Quote:
She watched him as he stood and grabbed a hold of the crutches. He seemed to be making do just fine---so far. "Yes, of course this is necessary. I wouldn't have braced your leg in the first place had it not been," she replied. "Alright, Mr. Denver, I'm trusting you to be responsible with this. Exercise caution and come back to see me in one month. I'll remove the brace for good then. Have a good day." |
Dylan nodded, with a sigh. He had to wear the contraption for a whole month. With crutches. He was gonna milk it for all it was worth. No physical exertion at all. That meant no sports, nothing. He smiled to himself as he left. "Thank you for fixing me up," he waved, to the nurse. Hobble, hobble, hobble. |
With Marcus, Dylan, and Jake now gone, Gabriella knew that she was needed back in the waiting room. She still had a few patients waiting to be seen---about five or so if she remembered correctly. Dinner hour was quickly approaching, and she imagined the children would like to be in and out before the food was completely cleared away. Not to mention that Gabriella was a bit hungry herself. With that thought in mind, she hurried from the back area and straight towards the waiting room. |
Ziva found herself in the third room of the Hospital Ward. She sat down on the bed wondering when Healer Ashford was going to get to her. There was two others in front of her after all, probably with worse conditions than her. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
"Hello." Ziva said shortly to the Healer. "Yes ma'am, a soccer ball to the stomach. Well, I'm really really dizzy and my head and neck hurt something awful." she told the healer. "As well as my mid section where I got hit." she told her wrapping both arms around her mid section. |
Quote:
Gabriella began to examine Ziva, trying to figure out just what the soccer ball had done to cause so big of an injury. A few minutes later, she lowered her wand and sat back down on her stool. "Miss Holden, you'll be happy to hear that you're just badly bruised. The dizziness, as well as the head and neck aches, are results of falling," she said. From a cabinet, Gabriella retrieved a few bandages and held them up so Ziva could see what she was about to do. "You won't need a potion, as none will necessarily help you in this case. I'm going to wrap a few bandages around you for support, and then I want you to return to your Common Room for some rest," she added. When the bandages were on, Gabriella stood to dismiss Ziva. "You may leave now. Just remember to very careful and gets lots of rest. You may remove the bandages on your own tomorrow morning." |
Quote:
"How long do you think it will take before my bruises will go away?" she asked. |
Quote:
|
Ziva nodded her head. "Yes, alrigh then ma'am." Ziva said standing up slowly. She made it to the door. "Thank you." she smiled. Now she was off to find Pierre and go straight to the dorms. |

Still being unconcious, Nicoletta was unaware of the fact she was in the hospital wing. Or being levatated. Again. |
Quote:
|
As she was unconcious the nurse had given her a potion to wake her up. "Where am I?" she asked frantically. Seeing the white wall and the beds, she answered the question herself. "Oh man! How long was I out for." |
Quote:
"Try and calm down, Miss Davis. I'm sure you've gathered that you're in the Hospital Wing and that you'd been unconscious. However, I'm not sure how long you were out for. You came here from History of Magic...or from the professor's office," she answered. She wasn't quite sure where the girl had been when she'd passed out. "Do you have any idea what caused you to pass out?" |
Quote:
Let's see. she thought. Thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking... BINGO!!! "Well," she said to the healer. "When I was around eight, I used to have these freak panic attacks. Sometimes I'd get them four times a day. My mum would give me a potion to make me sleep all day so I wouldn't pass out in the middle of doing something. She started doing this after I passed out holding a knife." not a pleasent memory. "I haven't had a problom with it since I was about nine. Really odd stuff would trigger them too. Like the smell of vanilla, or seeing a burning match. Usually I can calm myself down enough to stop them. Stuff starts going fuzzy and spins and I can't breath right before I pass out." Hmm, I think that's about it. Nicoletta thought to herself. |
Quote:
"Hmm, panic attacks, you say? What you need is a Draught of Peace. It works perfectly for anxiety problems," she said. Having arrived at that solution, Gabriella pushed herself off the stool then headed to the back of the room to find a phial of Draught of Peace. "This is long-lasting," she said, passing it over to Nicoletta as she sat back down. "So you won't have any issues with anxiety and passing out as long as it's in your system. Drink up, dear." |
Quote:
EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! Okay well if she stopped passing out it'd be worth it. "Thanks, so how long does this work for?" she asked. Dang if I become one of those people that takes medicine everyday, Violet's never gonna let me hear the end of it! Hmmmm, okay so once you actually took the medicine it wasn't so bad. |
Quote:
Seeing that Nicoletta was now much better, Gabriella figured it was safe to dismiss her. "You're free to leave now, Miss Davis. I'm glad you're feeling much better," she said, heading to the door. "Have a good day!" |

What was that...the huge and most terrible cold Annie had ever had? Maybe. She just hated it...and was afraid of that little fact that she was now at the Hospital Wing and ready to be examined. Sigh... When she heard her name, she let go of Drew's hand and headed towards the room where Healer Ashford pointed to. Be brave...Drew is here, with you...if something weird happens, he'll be there... She told herself in her head so many times that maybe it was causing her a worst headache and worst fever. She sat down and waited for Healer Ashford to appear. Her knees could be seen trembling. |
Quote:
"Hi there, Miss Robles," she said, greeting the girl with a smile. She got and good and situated on her stool before continuing the conversation any further. "It sounds like the recent weather just hasn't agreed with you. I'll just do a quick examination then administer a Pepperup Potion. This is likely something that can instantly be cured." The examination revealed a pretty high fever, which was undoubtedly pretty rough on the poor girl. Gabriella gave her an apologetic look before turning to retrieve a Pepperup Potion. "I'm positive this will cure you in no time," she said, uncorking the phial and passing it to Annie. "Drink up and see if that helps." |
Gulp! "Good day, Ms. Ashford..." Annie greeted back, though still feeling those terrible though normal goosebumps whenever she faced a doctor, nurse, etc. And just as Annie had written, Healer Ashford was reading her notes about her current condition. "Yeah, and I think that the whole deal is that I barely get to do any sports...which is more worse than being in my bed complaining about this cold..." She commented, though using her congested nasal voice. Ugh, eeky. She took a previous peek to see if Drew was around, still. Yes...he was. Whew... Pepperup Potion? Okay. Yes, Annie could handle that, not the whole Muggle medical procedures everytime she got sick or monthly check. "Thank you..." She said, smiling and taking the small bottle into her left hand, to drink it in the less of a minute. Ewww. Annie tried to hide her disgust for the medicine, though it was impossible. But in less than three minutes later, she just felt better. De-congested, with much more energy...and ready to hit the ground again. She wonder how much all this could last, though. "Should that be it, like I won't have to take this again?" Annie was hoping for the best answer, a YES. "Thank you, thank you, thank you..." She almost yelled of surprise. Long live Magic!! She stood up, though still feeling a bit dizzy. Her headache was just fading off. |
Quote:
Gabriella nodded in reply to Annie's 'thank you'. "That should be it, yes. You should actually already be feeling a lot better. The Pepperup Potion typically works instantly, although, you'll feel better and better as time goes on," she explained. She knew the girl was also wondering if she needed to stay in the Hospital Wing too much longer, or if she was free to go. "In other words, yes, you are free to go. You should feel back and better than ever in no time." |
Herminny entered room 3 as she was told and took a seat on the hospital table. She started to get a feeling this was her room. She looked toward a girl about her age who was still in the room and hissed at her as she climbed up on the hospital bed and waited for the nurse. She did not want to feel like this, and she certainly did not want to hiss at people. she hoped the healer would arrive soon. |
Quote:
As they entered the room, Kiri spotted Annie - what she'd been here for, Kiri didn't know, but her treatment appeared to be concluded. "Hey Annie," said Kiri, jumping onto a bed and nearly missing as her blurry vision made her misjudge the distance from the edge. The cat girl (what was her name... Herminny something, right?) was in a pretty bad mood, hissing at Annie as she passed. Kiri didn't pay any attention. Instead, she sneezed. Twice. Three times. Ugh! Grumbling to herself wasn't nearly enough of an outlet for her annoyance - she needed to be well again as soon as possible - but it would have to do. Yelling and shouting in the Hospital Wing was probably not a good idea. When the nurse entered, Kiri smiled and waved at her weakly. She pointed at the cat girl wordlessly - the healer could take care of her first. Kiri's flu wasn't going anywhere, after all; it was only her nose that was runny. |
Quote:
Minute by minute, even second after second the potion made Annie feel out of stress, her forehead was not so warm anymore, now it was normal temperatured. "Thank you..." Annie said, for the un-numbered time now. She didn't know, at the moment how to thank her. She stood up from the examination bed then smiled at her saviour. Yes, saviour. Because of her, Annie was not going to spend her Christmas break sick. Quote:
"Hope you feel better..." Annie said, calmly then continued to walk out of the room. Just then, Kiri had arrived too. And whoa, she looked much worse than Annie when she entered. Could she be having the flu? Quote:
But then Annie realized, there were too many girls in that room. It meant for her, to get out and enjoy the day, or go do homework. Because Annie was so far late on those. "Thank you, Ms. Ashford..." Again, she said it and walked out of the room. And how weird, she had not run away, like most times at the Muggle doctor appointments. |
Quote:
She'd never actually dealt with transforming humans back to humans before, but she'd studied the situated lots of times while in Healer School. As she grew closer and closer, she swished and flicked her wand, shooting a non-verbal charm right towards Herminny. A moment later, the girl was bound to the table by an invisible force. It wouldn't hurt her, of course. It'd just prevent her from repeating what she'd just done. There was no potion on hand that would help Herminny in this transformation. Gabriella would need to mix several different phials together plus add a few more ingredients to get the concoction she needed. She set to work doing this, hoping it wouldn't take long at all. Quote:
"Good day, Miss Starstalker," she greeted, approaching the girl with a smile. She imagined Kiri didn't feel well at all, but Gabriella always liked to offer a smile anyway. She found that it often times helped her patients feel just a tiny bit better, even if only in spirit rather than health. A quick examination told her that Kiri definitely had a case of the flu---not too severe of a case, but a case nonetheless. "The cure lies within three doses of Pepperup Potion, but the thing is, they can't all be taken at once. I'll give you a dose now, then when that's had time to settle, you can take your second dose," she explained, passing over one of the three phials. "You can stay right here while you wait for each dose to take effect. It won't be long at all." Quote:
|
Herminny snarled at the healer as she was bound to the table. Her animal self wanted out but as hard as that part of her tried she could'nt even budge. she tried to say something but all that came out were meows that sounded like moaning. Oh, no, this is bad. |
Quote:
"Goo'day, Healer Ashfor'," she managed when the Healer appeared in front of her, holding three bottles that Kiri, unfortunately, remembered all too well. Pepperup Potion... She'd declined Professor Lawson's offer of a phial of that, but it looked like there was no way around it. Kiri rolled her eyes and mimed sticking a finger down her throat. Of course, Healer Ashford wouldn't know about her aversion to Pepperup (unless someone had told her about the events surrounding the flooded school), but her illness had frustrated Kiri so much that she just needed to show her feelings. "Not very fond of Pepperup Potion," she muttered, struggling with the stopper of the first bottle. Pinching her eyes shut, she raised it to her lips and tilted it back. The hot liquid immediately brought back memories of the cold lake water. The Merpeople... and the pressure of water all around her, creeping into her mouth and nose, wanting to suffocate her... Kiri nearly gagged but managed to swallow the potion instead of spitting it out. She shuddered, feeling steam begin to rise out of her ears. "Thanks," she said with a weak smile, tucking her hair back. "How, er, long until I have to take the second dose?" |
Quote:
Phial in hand, Gabriella returned to Herminny's bedside. The girl was still bound by the invisible force, so Gabriella could approach her without the chance of being attacked. She drummed her fingers against the phial as she thought about how she could administer the potion without getting bit or hissed at. At the spur of the moment, without giving Herminny any warning, Gabriella poured the potion down her throat. "There, there, Miss Telerino. You should begin transforming back into your usual self within the next few seconds," she said. Quote:
Her apologetic look had just faded away when the girl asked about taking the second dose of potion. The truth of the matter was that the dose would need to be taken now. She'd give the girl a minute or two to compose herself, but that last time she'd given a student that liberty, they'd run from the Hospital Wing in return. Jake Upstead had still not taken that last dose. In reply, Gabriella passed the second phial to Kiri. "Drink up," she said. |
Herminny saw the nurse pour some sort of liquid down her throat and it tasted so gross. She coughed on it as she felt herself transforming back into a human being which was not pleasant. It hurt and felt weird as her body stretch back to it's normal form but by the end she did not care. She was so happy just to be her normal self again. However she quickly noticed she was still bound to the the table. She looked toward the healer and and said, "Thank you so much for making me human again, but could you please release from this table.". |
Quote:
To distract herself, Kiri watched the healer prepare potions for Herminny. As they disappeared down the girl's throat, she wondered idly if any of them tasted as bad as the Pepperup, and decided that they probably did not. Would Kiri have switched her flu for a pair of cat ears and the ability to sniff out rat farts? Maybe not. But she was going to make very sure that, from now on, she would wear a thick scarf when hopping onto a broomstick. When Healer Ashford was done with Herminny, she turned around and walked over to Kiri's bed again. "It's not easy being ill," Kiri confirmed, nodding, "but I'm especially, er, not fond of Pepperup. I... had to take a lot of it two terms ago, and I've got some memories connected to that that I'd rather not be reminded of." She took the second phial, popped the cork out and, squeezing her eyes shut so tightly that stars flashed in front of them, gulped down the potion. |
Quote:
When Herminny thanked her, the corners of Gabriella's lips tugged up into a bright smile. "You're quite welcome, and of course I'll unbind you. I had to make sure you would properly heal first, but now that you have...," she said, trailing off as she raised her wand. A few swishes and flicks led to the spell being lifted, which meant Herminny was free to go. "You may go now, Miss Telerino. Have a nice day," she added. Quote:
"Ahh, I see. Yes, yes, sometimes situations in our lives have a lasting impact on us," she commented. She didn't ask what happened, as she figured Kiri would tell her if she felt it appropriate. The conversation came to a halt when Kiri lifted the phial to her lips and drank the second of the doses. "You're doing just fine, Miss Starstalker. Just one more, and this will all be behind you," she said, passing the last of the phials to the girl. "When you're ready..." |
Quote:
But with the second dose inside her, the warmth was rapidly turning to uncomfortable heat. Her armpits broke out in a sweat. The urge to scratch returned even stronger, but Kiri wasn't interested in her ears anymore; now she wanted to scratch herself all over. The Pepperup Potion's heat felt like ants crawling along her veins and beneath her skin. This tingling sensation was extremely uncomfortable, but sliding back and forth on the bed didn't help - there was only one thing to do, really. "Next phial, please," she said tersely, holding out her hand. Healer Ashford, hovering nearby with a concerned look on her face, passed it to her. "'nks." With a sarcastic salute, Kiri raised the little bottle to her lips and drank. Steam shot out of her ears, little droplets of waters condensing on her earlobes. |
Quote:
"You're free to stay in here until the effects of the potion wear off," she said, eying the girl's ears. "I know you're probably ready to get out of here, too, though, so you're free to leave when you'd like. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to." Gabriella, after all, wasn't too fond of taking medicine either. Pepperup Potion, especially, was rather unpleasant on the body---mainly the ears. Grabbing a quill, Gabriella marked Herminny and Kiri as being healed. It'd been a long day---and a trying day---but it'd been a productive day. "If there's nothing else I can do for you, Miss Starstalker, I'm going to head back to the waiting room to see to a few additional patients. Have a nice day," she said, heading towards the door. A few seconds later, she was back in the hallways and on her way to the waiting room. |

Kiri finished wiping her ears and slumped over on the bed. Now that the worst effects of the potion were gone, she discovered that she did, in fact, feel a little better. Her head didn't feel as if it was filled with rock anymore, and... Kiri held a hand up to her forehead. Yes, it wasn't as hot anymore as before. Except... She sat up again, looking around. A large sink made of stone had been let into the wall opposite her. Kiri slid off the bed and crossed the room. The sink had a huge silver tap, and, after turning it, Kiri simply pressed her lips at its mouth and gulped down some cold water. That made her feel even better - now she'd got rid of the Pepperup Potion's taste as well! The only remaining problem was the effect of its warmth, and a triple dose at that. Kiri was sweaty and clammy all over; the way her clothes were sticking to her felt pretty gruesome... Well, she considered, she was in the Hospital Wing! She slipped behind one of the examination curtains that could be pulled around each bed to give the occupant some privacy, and quickly slipped out the topmost layers of her clothes. Taking out her wand, Kiri pointed it at herself to dry the sweat - the result wasn't perfect, but it would do until she was able to take a proper bath. Buttoning up her blouse, she made sure she'd holstered her wand, then, after a last glance to check that she hadn't left any used tissues or similar things behind, Kiri left the room, throwing a glance into the waiting room on her way out to see what was happening there. |
As soon as the nurse waved her wand over her the table and released her she quickly got up and upon hearing she was free to go smiled toward the nurse and left the room and exited the hospital wing and headed up toward her common room and as far away from the potions classroom as possible. After today she did not want to go back there for a long, long time. |
Right. Room Three. Room Three. Room T - AHAH! Adam found the right room. At least he hoped he had, because knowing him this'd be the wrong room. Although he was sure she'd said Room Three, and he was pretty sure it said Room Three on the door. So it should be right, right? Eh. Standing just past the doorway, Adam searched his pockets franticly, for the wand he knew he didn't have. Where was Lori?! She better be keeping it safe otherwise... Eh, otherwise nothing. He didn't have it in him to hurt her of all people. And right now, the burn should be the first thing on his mind. He raised a hand to it, wincing as his inde finger touched it gingerly. |

She gave him a polite smile then scurried past him. Reaching the cabinets, she began to rummage through them in search of the familiar orange ointment. "Ahh, this is it," she mumbled to herself, reaching up to make a grab for the tube. "This ointment works to quickly heal your burns, and the best part about it is that it won't even sting or hurt. It just feels cool to the skin." She imagined coolness was exactly what the boy needed right about now. |
Quote:
"It won't hu-" Adam began to ask, but then she had already begun to reasure him that it wouldn't, which was a really good thing. He was too worried about his wand for pain, and coolness on his skin sounded nice, like when he'd been coming back from Hogsmead and he'd been tempted to stick the burn in the snow. "Em Miss? You aint seen Lorelai Bristol, have yeh?" he asked randomly. She probably didn't know who Lori was, but he had to try. She had his wand for gawds sake! And the wand was probably in paiiiiin! And nice Healer lady could fix it, yeah?! |
Quote:
"Miss Bristol, hmm? I'm afraid I haven't been introduced to a Lorelai Bristol yet. If she drops by, though, I'll tell her you're looking for her," she promised. Although, she imagined by the time she came across Lorelai, Adam would have already found her himself. When she finished applying the paste to the boy's burns, she closed the tube then glanced back at Adam. "Alright, I'm all done. Your burns should gradually heal over a course of a few hours. The paste will keep them from causing you pain." |
Quote:
But then again, the Healer was clever, and she probably knew a way to fix his wand that wouldn't mean it'd backfire and burn him again. Forcing himselgf to keep his hand by his side and not reach up to touch his now orange cheek, Adam pushed himself off of the bed. "Thanks miss," he said with a grin. |

Despite how odd the request was, Gabriella tried her best to help. "I'm afraid there's no way to actually heal your wand. You see, because a wand is made of such strong magic, it can't be healed with Reparo. That spell may piece the wood back together, but it won't piece the magic back together," she reported, giving the boy an apologetic look. "I remember hearing how Harry Potter once pieced Ron Weasley's wand back together with the Elder Wand...but that was the Elder Wand, not an everyday wand," she continued. Poor Adam. She was sure he'd be crushed when he heard what else she had to say. "I'm afraid you'll need to owl Ollivander's for a new one, dear..." |
Quote:
She couldn't do it. Trying not to let his face fall, Adam realised he should've guessed. "Yeah, we tried that," he said, motioning to the paste covered burn on his face. Result of Lori's failed attempt at 'Reparo'. Not that it was her fault. She hadn't known that it wouldnt work. "I think I heard something about that, yeah..." Adam said with a shrug, running his hand through his hair. "I'll do that. Write to Olivanders..." Yeah, he would. He'd go and find Lori now, and then go to the Owlery, and send it to the wand shop. "But thanks Miss," he finished. Standing up from the edge of the bed. "And thanks for the advice and everything." |
Quote:
It was amazing how bones and deep gashes could be mended with just a few swish and flicks, yet nothing could be done for a wand---a piece of wood. A magical piece of wood, though, and that was the cause of it being so difficult to mend. "You're very welcome. Have a good day," she added. |

When she'd found the phial she needed, she returned to Chris's side. Placing the palm of her hand under his head and inclining it just a little, Gabriella tilted the phial towards Chris's mouth. As the potion trickled down his throat, she watched his eyes, waiting for any sign that he was coming to. |

He caughed a few times and after a minute or so, his eyelids twitched and then the Prefects left eye flickered open. "Gahh...uuhhhh." he said as he reached his hand to touch his forehead. "Ouchhh!!!" he yelled. He went to sit up and see what was going on but he felt a blinding pain in his head and fell back against the pillow. Wait, pillow? Where was he? The last thing he remebered was flying on the Quidditch Pitch, for it being Gryffindor's practice night, and he was just about to hit an oncoming bludger, saw something gold fly past his face and then he couldnt remember anything else. |
Quote:
So it was no surprise when Gabriella found herself more than just a little startled at the sound of Chris's loud exclamation. She hadn't been prepared for that one at all. Taking a deep breath and putting her hand over her heart, Gabriella said, "Hospital Wing, Mr. Potter. You were hit with a bludger during Quidditch." "I can give one additional potion for pain, but I'm afraid the rest of your healing will rely on lots of bed rest," she said. Rummaging through her potions cabinet, Gabriella retrieved a phial of said potion as passed it to Chris. "Drink up," she instructed. |
Quote:
He was hoping she wouls suggest something for pain. He took the small phial she handed him and then drank it right there. he felt much better after he was finished, but he still hurt some. "Ok so bedrest, gotcha Ms. Ashford!" he said sitting up and swinging his legs onto the floor. |
Quote:
She nodded in reply when he mentioned knowing and understanding the need for bed rest. "That's right, Mr. Potter, and do try and be careful the next time you're playing Quidditch," she added. Although, she knew Quidditch accidents were really quite common and unavoidable at times. "Now you head off and get some bed rest, and I'm going to go take care of the others in the waiting room. Have a good day!" With another smile and a wave, Healer Ashford turned and headed out the room. |
Emily's body floated in to room three by the charm Healer Ashford had cast. |
Quote:
It was clear the girl was suffering from trauma to her head. She'd taken a fall, Gabriella could tell, judging by the looks of the many bumps and scratches on her body. The first order of business was to administer Emily a potion that would bring her out of her unconscious state. Once she'd retrieved the potion, the Healer inclined Emily's head and gently poured the liquid down her throat. |

Gabriella headed towards the door, turning just before she walked out. "I need to go and see about a few other injured children, but remember to take that potion, then you may leave. Bed rest, though---bed rest," she added. Afterwards, she turned and headed back to the waiting room. |
Violet sat on the bed when she got levitated. "Thanks that a lot better than I would have done walking. Nice to see you again Healer Ashford" said Violet yes it was again she had already seen her in the begining of the year. |
Emily's unconcious form was laid gently on a vacant bed by the healer. |

She stood and rummaged through her potions cabinet for a moment, returning a few seconds later with a potion that would reverse the effects caused by the potion Violet had previously taken. She lifted the girls head then gently poured the potion down her throat. When she was done with that dose, she retrieved a second potion---a Strengthening Potion---that would bring Violet back to her normal, healthy self. Once again, she lifted Violet's head and gently poured the second potion down her throat. In just a few moments, the potion would take affect and the girl would feel much better. Quote:
While the Healer waited for the potion to take affect, she pulled out her wand and began healing the cuts and gashes on Emily's body. With a swish and a flick of her wand, the gashes began to slowly close. Within a minute, Gabriella had closed them all. After she'd cleaned the blood of the young Slytherin, she retrieved an ointment from a nearby cabinet and applied it to the small scratches the girl had obtained. She gently shook the girl and softly said, "Miss Black? Miss Black, you're going to be just fine." |

She sighed softly when the girl asked about leaving Hogwarts. "I'm afraid that's something out of my control. That would be a decision you and your parents would have to make," she said. "If you'd like to talk about it, though, feel free to drop by my office. For now, though, you're free to go." |

She retrieved a Strengthening Potion and brought it back to Emily's bedside. "Try and lift your head to drink this. It'll bring back your strength and energy," she said. To help out, Gabriella gently put her hand on Emily's back and guided her to sit up a bit. "As soon as you've taken it, you may go. You'll need to head right to the Common Room for some extra bed rest, though." |

Thanking the nurse and appologising quietly for being sick every where, she gingerly stood and turned to leave. Wait a minuite.."Nurse..err Healer? How did i get in here? And what happened to my wand?" She tried not to panic, but her wand was a part of her now and as she was still slightly dazed from unconsiousness, she began to worry...she hadn't lost it had she? Oh no... |

"According to the check-in book, Mr. Danial Kaiser brought you here from Potions class. I'd find Daniel or head back to class if you're missing your wand. Chances are, it's in either place," she truthfully answered. As far as she remembered, Violet hadn't had her wand with her when Gabriella had found her. "Now that you're better, I need to go and see to the other students still waiting in the waiting room. Have a good day, Miss Riddle." |
Alexa winced slightly as Healer Ashford magically set her down on the bed. She held tightly to Mr. Kapoor's blanket and yet she shivered still from the loss of blood. Her left eye, still oozing gunky junk. YUCK. Turning a sad little eye to the HEaler she said, "Can you fix me, Miss? I hurt all over... and and and m-my back is pretty bad too." She was willing herself not to cry.... |
