My boyfriend was murdered by a ghosty type thing and then I went crazy. My grandparents sent me to St. Mungo's and got me a private tutor. So, I don't really know much about Hogwarts." She stared around at everyone in the compartment for moment and then said, "Sorry, I talk too much sometimes..." she trailed off awkwardly and went back to her milkshake.

She'd never met someone who had a boyfriend murdered by a ghost thingy. Whatever that was. Could ghosts actually murder people? Eh. She wasn't entirely sure about that.

"I'll see you around ... later." And with that, the girl escaped the compartment.

PHEW.

She'd always had trouble before but now, even in the impressively heeled mary jane shoes she wore, she just moved with the flow of things.

The stitching in her uniform had all been replaced with pink, her skirt, while it was the regulation length, somehow managed to appear shorter with some artful rolling techniques (not too short mind you, she was setting a good example these days), everything had been tailored artfully (probably expensively) and all her accessories matched either the Ravenclaw blue in her tie or the pink of her stitching. Even the soles of her shoes were coloured to match.

Uniform customisation was FUN.

She'd reverted a little, rediscovered some of the ribbons she and Daphne had bought one day, and instead of wearing it in her hair, she had the pink one tied around her wrist, a few pretty charms hanging from it.

WHERE were her people?

Cela waved and smiled as she passed occupied compartments, her prefect badge still in her pocket with a bulge of letters.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Di started wandering around the corridors yet again, looking for the food trolley until she spotted a girl. A RAVENCLAW!

She had so many questions about Hogwarts she had to ask. There was no way she was going to rely on her brother's account. He hadn't even BEEN to Hogwarts

"HELLO!"

Ahhhhh. Pouting. POUTING. Raiden bit his bottom lip, trying not to wince visibly at that expression. WHYYYY. WHYYYYY, NEPTUNE. Shoulders slumping slightly, Raiden pushed the door open again and gestured toward it.

"If you want to show it off... go ahead." He. Was. A. Doormat. "Pleaaase don't make that face. I didn't mean to make you sad, Neptune."

And Cela was out there.

And they were going to meet. Two forces that could make him do ANYTHING they wanted him to were going to meet.

Cadence had the feeling the girl left because of her and sadly bid her farewell. Cadence... can't you just keep your big mouth shut. No one wants to deal with your issues. She suddenly felt embarrassed and alone, and she simply stared at the ground. No longer even interested in her delicious milkshake.

Celandine smiled and waved back happily as she passed, a small gleam in her eyes at the sight of all that pink the other girl wore. Of course she'd have to find a way to work it (*snap snap*) into her uniform in a non-rule breaking way once they all got to school, and maybe there was such a thing as too MUCH pink, but in the meantime Cela just smiled.

She paused in the corridor, her things working their way out of her pocket. EEeeeeeK! Cela rescued her badge first and pinned it on herself for safe keeping, then she scrambled after her letters.

"Kellen says I snore. It's a blatant fib, but even if it were true I cannot believe that I would be so destructive to his sleep-cycle that he would need to buy the bloody things in bulk." Chaucer took out the full bag of ear plugs and tossed them over to the new boy. "Take some for yourself, for your friends, for your neighbours! I swear, the sheer amount is offensive!"

He had brought them out of habit as Kellen insisted Chaucer keep a bag for whenever he stayed over. If they weren't in the same room, then... somebody else would need the plugs? What a wretched thought... Chaucer looked off gloomily.

Looking back at Chaucer he fiddled to turn the bag right-side up. "You seem to be offened by snoring good sir. It is a natural process of any creature. My cat snores. Why do you take it so much to heart?"

Chaucer returned to his bag once more and pulled out a book labelled "Book of the Courtier" by Castiglione and, pulling free a pressed-flower bookmark, began to read.

He secretly regretted not bringing his GameBoy.

"Oh, come on, Chaucer." Kellen shifted around again and wrapped an arm around the boy's shoulders. He briefly considered turning it into a headlock, but besides there being no room it looked like Chaucer might actually be offended. No doubt he'd take out his bruise makeup and draw a nasty patch on himself to display tomorrow, but that aside, it seemed about time for an apology.

"Look, I'm sorry, alright? We'll get to school, I'll find some blockheads to roughhouse around with, and you can read your book then. I'll even get you that jacket thing you wanted." And there went his idea for a Christmas present.

That did it; Chaucer's eyes brightened and a silly smile spread across his face, try as he did to dissuade it with inciteful thoughts of Kellen's previous misdemeanour. "Oh pish, you don't need to get me that. Out of curiosity, we are talking about the smoker's jacket replete with paisley interior and maroon velvet exterior with the gold brocade? Because... wow I really wanted that...." But it isn't polite to express such a desire, no it's far better to imply these things and hope one picks up on it. "Not 'wow', I know a better word, hold on..." But instead he trailed off, distracted by his own self-image in the new jacket.

Kellen was becoming increasingly more receptive to Chaucer's signals. It only took around 4 days this time for him to pick up on it, maybe less.

Oh Merlin. MERLIN WHY.

Raiden halfed turned to see her attempting to disentangle the bracelet from her sweater. One of the butterfly wings had gotten caught... If she kept jerking like that, she was going to take apart the whole thing! Trying not to roll his eyes, Raiden knelt down in front of her and grabbed at her jerky hand.

"Neptune stop. Stop! You'll just pull the cloth apart. You have to be careful." He leaned in closer and pointed at where the wing was stuck. "See where the butterfly wing is stuck? You just have to carefully wiggle it out, so then you don't ruin your sweater." He nudged at the wing with his fingertip until the thing disentangled. She'd already kinda pulled the knit a little, but... well it would survive. "See?"

"Helloooo, Dee! And you're weeelcome!" She couldn't help but giggle at that. No, there was no such thing as too much giggling. Rawr!

She sipped on her milkshake, which was about three fourths consumed, and she was certain that this last sip would finish it aaall up.

SIIIIIP. Yep, she was right. Tipping the glass upside down, the straw fell out, lifeless and purposeless, and there wasn't even a drop of shake left. What could she say, she had a great, great need for sweets. And she wasn't passing up a single drop. Literally.

Georgie then paused as Cadence spoke. Actually, she totally spaced out. Her mouth even popped open a little bit. The story she head was a bit... too much perhaps? But she wouldn't say anything. No sir. She would be nice. Especially, since, the girl seemed to have a, um, condition?

"I see..." she said, tilting her head to one side slowly, blinking several times, then snapping out of her reverie.

She clapped her hands together. "Well then! How long do these train rides last? I'm eager to get to Hogwarts. I'm only staying a term. And, do any of you happen to know a Hugo Woods?" She was directing her last question particularly to milkshake boy. She didn't exactly expect the girls to answer, because then there would be trouble. But that was situational.

Georgie then glanced outside the door, and noticed pink. PINK! Georgie lived for pink. Especially pink and white. Mraaawr.

She waved at the prefect as she passed, and stood up, flaunting her own pink frock. "I like iiit," she mouthed, pointing at the girl's dress, and grinned. Well, she did! There was never too much pink. No such thing. Nope.

Once again, Georgie's curiosity piqued and grinned at the boy. It hadn't fully settled in her that she was with a boy, who just offered her a milkshake. And she was still in the evaluation process whether he was cute enough to flirt with or not. She was leaning a biiit to the yes.

"You dooo?" She cooed, marveling at the idea that the boy liked sugar fixes as well. Yaaay! "Heehee. And you can call me Georgie." Ma'am? She always preferred Miss, but Ma'am was okay, too. Pfff.

And Hogwarts talk! "Ooh oooh! It sounds ever so lovely," she giggled, unconsciously tossing her glass to one side and shuffling just a little closer to the boy. She clapped her hands together again, and grinned. "I can't wait. I mean, I've already met the three of you, and you all seem nice. And and and! I feel excited!" But she always felt excited. HEEHEE.

He grinned at her. "Oh, I do. Georgie... That's a pretty name." A pretty name for a pretty girl it seemed. And he liked pretty girls. "You can call me Torin." Even though being her hero was pretty awesome too.

He noticed her moving a little towards him and he wasn't complaining about it at all. "I'm glad you're excited. I can show you around the school if you want." YAY! Another chance to get to know someone and help them out. This was turning out to be a nice train ride.

Mrs. Scott was practically jumping up and side to side trying to get Allison to lower the compartment windows. Finally catching the drift Allison mumbled about how weird her mum was.

"Got it." Allison murmured. "HI MUM! HIIII!" Waving excitedly Allison felt a stare and turned to see Perseus looking at her. Grinning she picked him up and nuzzled the kitten's neck, "Aren't you the cutest fellow? Look mum it's Perseus!"

Allison's mother simply covered her mouth and began to cry. Her baby was leaving her for an entire school year. It had seemed only the day before that Allison had been born. Taking out her wand, Mrs. Scott conjured a tissue to wipe at her tears.

"Oh mum! Dun cry!"
Allison began to wipe at her own.

Laughing Mrs. Scott finished wiping her tears and smiled at Allison. Shaking the tissue it became a white butterfly that flew towards Allison and landed on Perseus nose.

"Arya take care of my Allison! And don't get into too much trouble girls! And if you do get into trouble...make sure to invite me!"

Arya giggled when the butterfly that was once Mrs.Scotts' tissue landed on Perseus' nose. She went to the window beside Allison to get a better view.Laughing she waved back to Mrs.Scott," I'll will Mrs.Scott! We'll try to stay out of trouble." Looking around the platform Arya saw her family looking at her. She could tell her mom was also teary eyed as her dad stood comforting her. Noah was holding Annie and Peter stood beside him holding on to his leg."See ya later alligator!" She wiggled her fingers under her chin to Noah, fighting back to tears as she blew a kiss to her parents and younger siblings."After 'while, crocodile!"Noah said as he wiggled the fingers of his free hand back at his sister, grining as he winked at her. Arya's mom blew a kiss back as her dad waved smiling at his little girl, the twins both blew big kisses to there big sister as they too began to cry.

Unable to tear herself away from her family's gaze, as she knew this was the last time she would see any of them for a few months, she stood there until the train finally pulled off and her family was no more than tiny specks. Sitting down Arya pulled the candy from the trolly out of her pokets deciding on what to eat first."I'm gonna miss my family..."

Cadence looked at Torin and then at Georgie and an internal debate waged in her head. Her natural personality made her an open and honest person; she had always worn her emotions on her sleeve and never had a problem expressing how she felt. However, the last time she had told the truth, someone had left the compartment. Mustering up her acting skills she smiled at Torin, "Oh... nothing's wrong. I was just... thinking." Looking to change the subject she tried to recall what had been discussed already, "So, Torin, you're a Prefect. That must mean you're at least a fifth year, right? I should be a fourth year, but... yeah..." She took another sip of her milkshake.

Dear, Darling, Beloved Hogwarts Express,

You're so big, you're slow, you're crowded and you reek of...cheap perfumes, hormones, and athlete's feet.

Sincerely,

Daphne Hopton.

P.S. The way your floor creaks every time I step does nothing for my self-esteem.

Daphne wasn't sure what to make of this new term at Hogwarts. Plymouth Morgan was gone. It was enough to suck out the enthusiasm from most everyday activities right away. Her two good (and closest) friends were Prefects.

A fact she was proud of yet--sort of, on the fence about. What exactly did it mean when your closests and BESTEST (well, Raiden sometimes) friends were Prefects and...you were not?

Less responsibility, obviously. No shiny badge; that was the most obvious thing...and???

Inferiority Complex. Hmph.

Speaking of her complex, it sort of roared weakly in her chest at the sight of her sparkly and very pink, bestie. "Celly!" called out the blond a bit startled.

And. um. her companion. Hello?

An animal of his word? Some how that sentence came together all wrong. She giggled.

"You're making no sense, you and yes I would like a chocolate frog thanks."

Art chuckled when she laughed. She was very cute when she smiled.

Aww, I'm not making sense. Haha she is so much fun.

"Oh? I thought I made perfect sense luv." Art chuckled. "He you are." he handed her a chocolate frog. "So, do you think nifflers are cuddly?" he winked.

He noticed her moving a little towards him and he wasn't complaining about it at all. "I'm glad you're excited. I can show you around the school if you want." YAY! Another chance to get to know someone and help them out. This was turning out to be a nice train ride.

Georgie batted her lashes rather exaggeratedly. She loved it when she was complimented. And he liked her name! Heehee! Yes, this Torin character was definitely getting on her good side. "Torin it is, then," she giggled.

And YAY! A tour guide! Of course, Hugo was the perfect tour guide, but she wouldn't turn down a perfectly good offer. He was, after all, a prefect, which seemed to be a big deal around here, and that was a good thing. Yes it was. Georgie was only allowed to be seen with beautiful people. And here was one. Goodie! "Oooh, I like that idea! And we can get together more," she bounced, looking from Torin, to Cadence, and back. Wheee!

Okaaaay. Awkward.

"Umm, I should go get ... Koda." Di said, forgetting that his real name was Orlando. "Imm sorry for your loss .... ?" What else was she supposed to say? She'd never met someone who had a boyfriend murdered by a ghost thingy. Whatever that was. Could ghosts actually murder people? Eh. She wasn't entirely sure about that.

"I'll see you around ... later." And with that, the girl escaped the compartment.

PHEW.

For a while, Georgie wondered where Di was going on such short notice, and especially since they hadn't talked about her dress yet! But, oh well, the girl seemed to be in a hurry. As long as they bumped into each other again... she would never run out of things to say, after all.

"Uh, byeee!" she called after Di.

Blink.

Cela straightened up and clutched her letters to her chest, having been caught by surprised by the LOUD!ZOMG!SURPRISE hello.

"Hi!" She answered cheerfully. "I don't know you, I'm Celandine Toussaint. Cela for short."

And glancing further down the hall, she smiled. It was nice to know that people around here had a good fashion sense. And pink, of course. Ah yes, she would have to wear the uniform. But that didn't mean she had to discard the pink and the white in her. There would always be a perfect opportunity. And, well, there were, er, other colors to try?

... Of course not. PINK ALL THE WAY!

Now, back to the people in her compartment. They now seemed to be talking about prefects. Something she was curious of. "What does a prefect do, then? I mean, I'm a seventh year, as I was told, but I don't know much about Hogwarts, since I had to change schools last minute." No reason required, of course. At least, no reason that they had to know.

... Hugooooo! Gurgle gurgle.

Rhea took the chocolate frog but didn't immediately pop it into her mouth. She still didn't like eating frogs..chocolate or not.

"No, no you made no sense."

She stuck her tongue out at him playfully.

"I find nifflers absolutely adorable actually. In fact, no I'll surprise you when we get to school." She smiled innocently.

"You like surprises don't you?"

Oh Merlin.

"See?"

Neptune had already decided that her sweater was RUINED. Her first day of school was RUINED. Her RAIDEN was RUINED. Her LIFE was RUINED!!

She covered her face when her hands were free, as if maybe hiding tears. That wouldn't have happened if Raiden hadn't made her sit down. But he HAD freed her and was all knelt down in front of her being sweet and trying to take care of her.

As he should.

"My sweater is RUINED," Neptune whispered through the crack between her two hands.
