For a moment, as Chris shook his head. Alex found herself slightly entranced by this good looking, older, American, Gryffindor. There was something about him that seemed so carefree, and happy. And his happiness was infectious. She felt so.. different around him, and yet herself. It was a weird feeling, but a good one.
Alex shook herself out of her thoughts and smiled widely up at Chris. "Exactly! It sounds fun, we should totally do it!" She said with a smile. "And that is the point, we can both be horrible jugglers, and the other wouldn't know if they were hitting themselves or getting hit. Sounds perfect to me!" She laughed more as he spoke again. "Of course! Only way to live your young life." She had what? A few years until she became a trophy wife.. she better make the best of it really. |
Chris noticed that Alex seemed to be zoning out again, but he didn't say anything. She seemed to be thinking about something nice- and who would want to ruin that train of thought?
He laughed as she talked about them juggling... and the mess that it would be. "It does sound perfect," he said with a warm smile. "We shall have to arrange to head to Paris in order to accomplish this great feat!" he said with a laugh. "Maybe we'll even make the national news!" he added with a laugh.

Alex smiled and listened quietly as Chris spoke. She laughed in a few places, for really the story was pretty funny. Running into each other, while looking at a map? Pretty ironic! "Wow, that does sound like a great encounter! And I am sorry that you didn't get to meet a girl, but you are meeting one now! I hope I can make up for your former losses!" She said grinning as she flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder. Yes, the hair flip was for effect. So sue her. |
"Indeed I am! And it was quite worth it!" he said with a grin. "Yeah, my best friend and I managed to run into a lot of girls- both figuratively and literally," he said with a chuckle. "But, you have been the best," he said, inclining his head slightly. He was actually enjoying himself, with little to no embarrassment. However, if there was no embarrassment, why did his face feel slightly heated? And, he couldn't help but watch as her hair soared over her shoulder in a graceful arch.

"Oh no Chris! I need to get my glasses, for you are fading away from my sight!! Chris!" She giggled more as he spoke. Really this man way tall. But in a good way. He was about as tall as her older brother Geoffy. She smiled impishly up at him as he spoke. "You have no need to fear me, oh handsome American! I was just thinking, that you could pick me up and put me in your pocket. That was all." She said with a smile and a wink. That wouldn't be so bad actually. |
"Don't lie... you were not!" he said with a laugh. Did he want to admit that he was thinking the same thing? Maybe later, when they knew one another a little better. "Well, I think you could fit... but I think that is something we shouldn't try!" he said, shaking his head as he continued to laugh.

Alex put her hands on her hips, her stance like that of a angry or concerned mother scolding her child. "No! That is way to dangerous!" She protested a bit to strongly. She was playing.. sorta. "How about, if I am there, and have a bucket of water, just in case? That would be safer huh?"She said with a smile. Although she might have a small heart attack watching, she would make sure he was safe! |
"Yes mom..." he said, hanging his head in shame. However, he glanced out at her from under his longer hair and grinned. He raised his head as she reconsidered and gave conditions for his feat. "Yes, but I believe the problem might be that you would toss the water on as soon as I light the knives... before I even begin to juggle!" he said laughing. "As for safer..." he shrugged with a grin. "If you think so, then sure!"

Alex started giggling hard as Chris did. And his words made her almost double over in laughter. "I.. thought.. you would.. be the one to appreciate it!" She managed to get out, "After all, it goes so nicely on your hand!" She laughed more. Tears were coming from her eyes, she was laughing so hard. |
"Eh, I guess it matches," he said, holding up his left hand and studying the pinky. "I guess I'll keep it..." he said, laughing with her. It was amazing how their conversation had meandered from one topic to another... but apparently it was going well. She was doubled over with laughter already.

She managed to pull herself together, and she grinned as she pulled out her wand. "Accio Balls!" She called, and suddenly three balls zoomed toward her, and landed neatly in her outstretched hand. So convenient. "The little rascals, have been found!" She said with a grin, as she put her hand out towards Chris. |
Eventually, they both stopped laughing, and he had to wipe tears from the corners of his eyes. Soon, she had the three juggling balls in her hand once more and he had to laugh as she repeated his new name for them. As she extended her hand, he reached out to take them. As he did, one began to fall, and he wrapped both of his hands around her own. "Sorry," he said softly, looking in to her eyes with a warm smile.
Just then, he felt the train slow and he looked out the window. "It looks like we're nearing our destination... I guess I will see you around the school?" he asked her. Probably not often, they were different years, and she probably already had her friends.
