Professor Bunbury had been rather aloof this term to say the least but here she was, standing just inside the nice warm, safe and dry greenhouse, enjoying the humid environment, and waiting for the students to show.
She didn't even mind that her red, red hair was slightly frizzing.
It didn't take long to find someone standing alone in the crowd of students. "Hey! You!" Melanie waved her hand around a little bit, over people's head's, to get the girl's attention. "Need a group?" she inquired with a toothy smile, polite and to the point.
Bella's head snapped up as she heard someone shouting her way, she looked where it came from to see a girl waving her hands over the heads of the otehr students. Smiling she pushed her way through the other students and head towards the girl and the people she was with, "Hey" She said as she finally made it, "Yeahh i need a group, can i come into yours?" She asked looking round at them.

Beware.
Finally! After a whole ten minutes of trying to get that icky bit of nail off, she had done it!! Oh yes indeedy. She dropped her finger and looked around her.
Uh-oh. Looks like everyone was pairing up. Now who to go with? Hmmm. Lucille cast a look around for anyone she knew. Ok, there was Torin, but she was NOT going ANYWHERE near him. Nuh-uh. Not since the tarantula incident. Pft. And Warren thought her and Torin were funny? Insane.
Lucille was justtt about to try and lay low and blend in with the desk while the practical went on, when she heard a familiar voice. Her head turned.
Nancy? Yup, she could go for that. She made herway over, just about to say "ill go with you-" when someone got there first.
Ooh. Shiny prefect badge too. Well she couldn't be worse than Torin, surely? Lucille heaved a sugh, blew her white fringe out of her eyes, and made herway over to Nancy and the prefecty person.
"Heyyyyyy," she said, drawing the word out. "Nancy, hello! How's the wrist after the walkin-into-the-wall incedent?" Biiggg grin. She meant it all nicey nicey, but perhaps it didn't come over that way.... "Anyhoooo, can i go with you guys?"
Flutter eyelashes, innocent smile. GOOD. Right. Maybe she should try pouting again like Old Fishy suggested? Egh, maybe not. It didn't work with Warren. She settled for a broad, if slightly scary, grin.
Yes.

OH NO! Somebody was tapping her on the shoulder. Probably Bunbunz forcing her to work on the tea-plant thingy with her! No, that was not going to happen. She would feign...uhm...maybe she would just "faint". Or something. Not that she would be able to do that authentically but y'know she could at least try. Slowly, very slowly Nancy turned around, the soles of her boots squeaking against the floor. Should she faint now or-
Thank MERLIN! Sarah! It was only Sarah. If she were one for hugs she would have totally hugged the Hufflepuff right now. As she wasn't, though, Nancy simply beamed at her. "Sarah! Yes, I'd love to join guys."
Should she tell her about her inability to tell the difference between the Devil's Snare and a Mandrake? No...maybe they wouldn't pair up with her then...
Still beaming at Sarah like a maniac - okay, hopefully she wasn't scaring the Hufflepuff off - Nancy was just about to take a step into the direction she'd gestured at when..."Lucille!" Somehow it didn't become apparent from her tone whether she was pleased to see the girl or y'know, not. She'd been the reason she had run into a wall after all. Cough.
...which OF COURSE she had to mention. Hmpf."Oh, just lovely, thanks for asking." Cue sweet fake grin. She knew Lucille wasn't trying to be mean - okay maybe a bit - but it was still annoying. Stupid wall. Stupid race. No, she was not going to say Stupid food but you get the point...
"Uh...sure, I guess. Sarah?" Nancy turned to the Prefect with a questioning look on her face.
OK that was an odd look.Nancy was...grinning at her? o___O
Almost as if she was extremely happy to see her.At least she remembered who she was.Smiling back, Sarah nodded. "Good! I'm glad.Better to partner with people you can get on with." Clapping her hands together in happiness, Sarah turned on her heel to lead Nancy back over to where she had previously been standing.Having left Chris and her school bag over there it made sense.Except she didn't get very far.Nope, upon turning she came face to face with another Huffie.
"Heyyyy," she mirrored the girls greeting, slightly confuzzled as to who she was.Nancy was on hand though, to answer that question.Lucille? Sarah racked her brain trying to think if they'd ever met before, but came up with nothing.WAIT.....Nancy walked into a wall? Sarah turned her head slightly to look at the Slytherin stood next to her, and raised a quizzical eyebrow. She wasn't going to ask, as it wasn't her business....
"Yeah, sure," she nodded, shrugging. "I don't mind.Professor Bunbury did say 3 or 4, I think. You wanna come over?" she asked, pointing to the area they were heading to. "Who wants to go and get the tea plant? We should probably get that on the way back..."
Jack smiled at his fellow Gryffie. "Sweet!" he said before looking around. Ok, they had two, and they needed three or four.
"Anyone else?" he asked, looking around hopefully.
Hmmm. Seemed like Gold's group was getting a bit crowded there! He smiled at the girl at Cela had called Sidney, indicating that if she wanted to join up, it was cool with him. The more the merrier!
Sidney notices the boy smile at her. She walks over and notices he's the head boy. "You sure you don't mind me in your group?" Then Sidney remembers her manners. "I'm Sidney Marlowe. It's an honor to meet the Head Boy." Sidney can't help but look at his badge. Wait until Harry finds out I was in a group with the Head Boy. He'll be so jealous. Harry's never met the head boy at WAPA.
Alexa looked on as Jake plucked leaves or flowers or whatever it was they were supposed to be picking off of the plants and simply nodded her head. Herbology was not her best subject by any means.
"Um, are we supposed to pick the leaves. Like didn't the professor say something about the baby leaves?" she asked stupidly. She had her head in the clouds too much to be useful it seemed.
OOC: I'm about to leave for class so feel free to start without me! xD

"No, of course not!" Jack insisted. YAYYY they finally had three members, and they could get started on Bunz's instructions. "Nice to meet you Sidney," he added with a grin when she introduced herself. He blushed a bit when she said it was an honor to meet him--hehe. He was never going to get used to that. "Thanks," he mumbled with a small smile as his cheeks lit up.
OK. FOCUS TIME. He looked at the little tea plant that they needed to start de-leafing. "Shall we get started?" he asked.

"Aw, thanks! You're too kind." Becca said smiling back at Jake. She wasn't that mature...well, certainly not now, as Enid and Cissy were bringing out her mischevious side. "I'm a lot less mature than most think."
"Mhm, but I'm not very good. I'm just a reserve." Becca said adding, "My brother's much better than I am, always has been. But, he has the advantage, being that he's older than I am."
Realizing why Jake had stopped talking, she shut her mouth too. Bunbury would instruct them on how to work the plants soon.
"My old ccccaptain wwwas a reserve I thuhh-think, ffffor a whuhh-while before she wwwas captain," Jake shrugged, thinking about Kaika with a little pout on his face as he moved the plant towards the Gryffindor girl.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Aschere Tonks
Fifth Year
Aschere had been furiously copying notes before she looked up to realize that a number of the students had broken off into groups already. She looked around and didn't see anybody she really knew, and wondered if there were slots left.
"Hey, does anybody need a group, or a fourth group member?" she asked, a little unsure of her chances.

Right.
Well, Bunz didn't say they needed gloves to do this, so they must not need them..unless, 'Do you think it bites?' It was still Bunz teaching this class and you never know what to expect. It could have been a finger eating tea plant and no one would know until you were missing fingers.
Destiny wasn't going to pick a tea leave first, not now anyway.
Does it bite? It was a tea leaf plant. Tea doesn't bite.
....Does it?
Pulling her hand away from the plant, she looked at Destiny for a moment before glancing around. Well, no one else was freaking out or anything so maybe it was safe? But it was Bunz and the last classes they had with her definitely proved to be a little harmful and dangerous.

She didn't see Josh anywhere when she looked around so hopefully they still had room for two more in this group.

Destiny took the plant away from Evelyn, before she got a chance to hug that first, and held it out towards Marie, 'Pick a leaf and tell me if it bites.' If Marie lost a finger, then they would know to wear gloves.
Muhahaha!
Looking over to who was speaking, she smiled slightly when she saw Marie and Evan standing there. Then, that would make four in their group, and she wanted Josh to be with them as well. But then again, they did get here first. If Josh still needed a group, she'll just go partner with him...
"Hey Marie. Evan." she nodded before going back to examining the tea plant. And, there was a little small bud that looked easy enough to pick off. She still didn't know if they were supposed to use gloves or not for this, but whatever...
And then the plant was gone. Whaaaa!? Watching Destiny hold it out to Marie, she snickered a little at her friend's words before going quiet again. "You'd think you'd ask that to someone who wasn't a Slytherin or a friend." she mumbled, glancing over to Kay. Would have been better to ask her to check if the leaves bite.
Nymphy went and got his plant. It was one of the last one becasue he was too patient to rush up front. He brought the plant to his group who started to gently prod and tenderly move the leaves to find the smallest. Once his group had rated the top 15 smallest leaves, they plucked in a gentle fashion. He laid them out and becasue of prior knowlege, rolled them out and wiped them with a hankie tenderly. He wanted to dry them out as fast as possible. He was considering asking one of the older students for that charms that blew hot air, but decided to wait for further instruction.

Adrienne was starting to wonder if there was something about her that was scary or something, what with the continuation of everyone forming groups around her and yet nobody included her. But, well, other than the fact she was a Quidditch captain, beater, and her other little ability (that she was fairly certain most people in the class didn't have any clue about), she didn't know why. Starting to contemplate if she should just try to sneak out instead, she was startled a little when Torin suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "It seems like," she said with a little laugh as he asked if she'd work with him, kind of irrelevantly in her mind. "You know anything about tea?"
Before he could answer her question, Kiri walked over and asked if she could join them, and a wave of sympathy flooded in at how the other Quidditch captain sounded. It was horrible being sick at this time of year. "Sure. Like Torin said, of course. The more the merrier, sort of," she said after Torin had agreed to let Kiri into their group. "and if you contaminate the tea, we'll just have to try and make more, right?," she added with a smile. "So now one of us just has to go pick out a tea plant, I think." At least, that was what Professor Bunbury had said, right?

Smiling, Mina nodded. "Sure, the more the merrier." She recognized the girl from the common room, but still didn't know her name. "I'm Mina, by the way." she smiled.

"One's right here. Dunno about the rest. Could be anywhere." It was easier to just pretend that they didn't take this class than it was to wonder where they were, really. "Work with me? It's been a long time since I've had to make tea."
Well, tea like this. His father had gotten them the little pre-made tea bags, so he could drink it before work and stuff.
"Shifty friends you've got then," replied Daphne, tucking a strand of blond hair behind one ear. The girl only bothered dedicating some attention to her friend long enough to noticed looked less surly than the past days.
"I already got a plant while you weren't looking," she announced bringing the potted aromatic bush between them. Frowning, Daphne brushed a finger against a small leaf. "I think we're making green tea. I rather have black tea but it's not up to me, is it? You can pluck the little ones," instructed the blond, taking one baby leaf between her thumb and index finger and giving it a gentle tug to snap it off. "Don't touch these though," explained Daphne further, tapping the wider leaves.
Torin turned towards the girl that was talking to them now, and saw that it was Kiri. Or that was what he was sure her name was. He didn't really know her all that well; he had only met her once and he was in 4th Year at the time.
But he still would work with her gladly.
"Yeah, of course you can join." He nodded at her with a smile. The more the merrier he figured. Even though she sounded like she was feeling a bit ill. Bloody colds.

Oh, one of them was actually a Quidditch captain, not a prefect. Blame it on the watering eyes. "Kiri's the name," said Kiri, just in case the other girl didn't know her yet - she couldn't recall whether they'd ever talked in class before, but she noted the Ravenclaw's badge with interest.
Introductions thus concluded, Kiri pointed at the tea plants. "Should we, er, try and see if we can get some leaves, then?" She'd only ever seen the end product of the process, loose (and bagged) tea, but picking out individual leaves that were suitable couldn't be that hard, could it? What kind of tea would they be making, anyway?
She preferred green!
Kiri picked up one of the pots and sniffed carefully. Stupid blocked nose. Only the tiniest whiff of the plant registered, but of course she wasn't sure how strong a smell the Camellia actually had. Hmm. All of the leaves looked pretty similar to Kiri. Healthy, with more or less the same shade of dark green. Some kinds of tea used more than just the leaves, she knew that much, but given Professor Bunbury's instructions, they would have to focus on the leaves. She pointed at a random leaf uncertainly. "Er... would that one do? For example? How can we tell which ones are the youngest?"
"Shifty friends you've got then," replied Daphne, tucking a strand of blond hair behind one ear. The girl only bothered dedicating some attention to her friend long enough to noticed looked less surly than the past days.

Barry looked around and ticked off his friends as they slowly all joined groups. Sigh. But there was still Raiden! And that clean girl. What was her name again? Daph? They wern`t friends but they wern`t enymies.
He walked over to the two. He smilled cheerfully. It`d be nice to spend time with Raiden. They hadn`t talked since he`d been all tense about something. "Hey Raiden!" Then he looked over to the other girl "and Daph" She doesn`t like Daph! "-nee. So err I don`t have a group so do you mind if I join you two?" They wouldn`t mind would they? They wern`t a couple, right?

He smiled at Ad and wished that he could tell her that he was an expert with tea. But honestly it was not his forte at all. He was much better with the standard Herbology plants like Puffapods and whatnot.
"I wish I knew more, but really all I know is that tea is calming and used in Divination. Also makes you feel better when you are sick." He shrugged, feeling useless with this subject.
Then he turned his gaze to Kiri when she pointed at a random leaf. "Oh, I think that could work. And I guess the younger ones look smaller and umm, I have no idea." He was lost here.

"HOLY CRAP!!" she yelled, jumping backwards off her chair and knocking it over. BITING TEA PLANT! BITING TEA PLANT!!
She's going to get a DISEEAAASSSEE!! Tea plant disease!! Zombie tea plant disease!
Staring wide eyed at Marie, Evelyn turned to Destiny, a horrified expression on her face. "Why did you let her touch it!?"

Oh, this is gonna be fun, Adrienne thought with a bit of sarcasm, as it seemed all three of them were in the same boat when it came to tea. She nodded at Kiri as the other girl introduced herself, then decided to reciprocate. "Adrienne." Now she figured they probably all knew each other, since it seemed like Torin knew everyone, anyway. So back to work. Once Kiri picked a plant, apparently, seeing as the girl had gone up to do so.
"That's about all I know too, Torin," she said with a shrug, as she waited for Kiri to get back. And when she did, she looked at the plant curiously, especially the leaf Kiri had pointed out. "I'd guess smaller and maybe a slightly different color?," she said questioningly as Torin tried to okay the leaf. "I mean, my grandmother grows roses, among other things, and I know the new leaves on rosebushes tend to be a different color than the mature ones. Maybe tea plants are the same." She wasn't completely hopeless when it came to plants, but they certainly weren't her forte. eyeing the plant between them, she tentatively reached out to finger a tiny bud, then snapped it off carefully to lay it nearby. "I guess we should just get started." Hopefully someone would say something if they were doing anything wrong.

"Not so easy to find them sometimes," he said with a shrug. "Everyone's in different houses."
...Daphne seemed kinda... off. He looked at her for a second before focusing his attention on the plant. It looked familiar enough.
"Green tea's good though... don't you like it? Why only the smaller ones now?" Attention. Yes. Working on that. He could make tea from leaves but he'd never had to pick them or anything. Giving a careful little tug, he pulled a little one loose. "These remind me of Divination."
He had been about to continue on some ramble or another when he heard his name, and looked up.
"Hi Barry..." he glanced at Daphne. "I don't mind if you join us. You, Daph?"
Did Barry and Daphne even really know each other? Hmm.

"Slightly different colour," Kiri murmured, holding the plant pot up to her eyes and looking at it closely. Whatever the other two were seeing, she wasn't able to. In the semi-gloom of the greenhouse, with her eyes all puffed up and her vision blurry, each tea leaf looked pretty much like every other...
She sneezed violently and without warning.
It was a reflexive action Kiri couldn't have prevented - her hands flew to her nose to cover it, and she dropped the plant. Sneezing a second time, she could hear the pot crash on the floor and shower her winter boots with earth. Uttering a word that, if Professor Bunbury had heard it, would have meant a lot of docked points, Kiri, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her robes, took out her wand and pointed it at the debris. A few seconds later, the plant and pot, safely restored, stood on the table once more, but her mood was thoroughly ruined.
"Sorry about that," Kiri said, glaring at the plant as if it was its fault. "This... stupid... cold..." she punctuated each word with an angry thump on the table. Now her hand was in pain. "Let's just... pick some leaves or something," she said, plucking out a few randomly.

He nodded at Ad as she added that it would probably be a different colour and then figured that she was right and it really was time to start picking the leaves or they would be really behind.
And oh crap! Kiri had dropped the pot. He cringed at her comment and looked to see if Bunbury had heard anything. But then it didn't really matter, as when he looked back the pot and plant were fully restored again as if nothing happened. Good, because Bunbury hated messes.
"Bless you," he said as he started picking leaves out. Poor girl looked rather ill.
"My old ccccaptain wwwas a reserve I thuhh-think, ffffor a whuhh-while before she wwwas captain," Jake shrugged, thinking about Kaika with a little pout on his face as he moved the plant towards the Gryffindor girl.
"Errrr..." Jake frowned and thought back, lookingat what they'd already picked. "Nuhh-no... the bbbbuds," he said, a thoughtful little frown on his face.
"The buhh-baby buds."
...
"Your turn!"
Joy.
Alexa nodded her head and started plucking off the baby buds. Good thing someone was paying attention. Yeesh! Alexa needed to get her act together. And they were talking about Quidditch which made her think about the fact that she was so blasted nervous... *Pluck pluck pluck*

"Oh really?" Becca said with interest, "That's pretty awesome. I'd love for something like that to happen to me one day." Picking up one of the buds on their worktable, she played with it twisting it in her hand. Now Alexa was plucking buds/leaves. It seemed a bit tidious to her now, but Becca went with it.
Neptune Bott was busy skipping around and checking everyone else out. She already KNEW who her group would be, so she didn't bother getting all antsy about o.m.m. who will I group with.
It was sort of a given.
Giggling, she finally fluttered over and plopped herself down right beside Raiden. "I LOVE tea parties! I hope they are tea cozies and pink cups to come! Have you got it ready yet?" she asked Daphne.

They wern`t a couple, right?

"It's a bit grassy," she commented regarding the tea. From her robes, she pulled out a handkerchief and began scooping up the little leaves she had plucked and dropping them on it. That had been her task until an unfamiliar voice distracted her.
Oh. It was that Ravenclaw....erm. Person. "What am I supposed to do? Turn you away?" said Daphne with a teasing smile. "You're welcome to sit," she continued, gesturing towards a seat next to Raiden. "Classwork is classwork."
"And we're only picking the small ones because those were the instructions, Raiden," informed Daphne and glanced up at the Ravenclaw too, in case he had forgotten too. "Although, I could be wrong about the green tea." Humming, Daphne glanced up at the ceiling as she tapped her chin. "We could be making white tea. It's hard to tell with no other instructions but what to pluck and what not to pluck."
Daphne....ignored the Divination comment for the most part. She didn't take that class and for a good reason.

Patting the leaves, Daphne raised one sole brow at the girl. "No...we're still plucking." Daphne sighed and glanced at the boys. They would finish plucking. Daphne was done with slave work for the day. Done. "It might be a while before we actually have tea in your tea party, Neptune."
