Becca smiled back at the girl who'd approached her, "Sure! I'm Becca Latrowski by the way. It's nice to meet you!"

Alexa heard a stuttery boy ask for a group and she wasn't surprised to see Jake looking around. She smiled and called out to him, "You can work with us, if you'd like."

"Hey Becca, I'm Alexa. It's really nice to meet you as well." Alexa told her with a smile. "I hope you don't mind that I invited Jake to join our group" she added as an afterthought.

"No, not at all!" Becca said turning to Jake, "Becca Latrowski, nice to meet you, Jake."

Awesome.

Chyeah. He still had it.

Giving the girls a smile, Jake hopped off his stool and moved over to them, looking up towards Bunbury. Now he thought about it... wasn't everyone shorter the last time he saw them?

"Thanks," Jake said to the girls, bringing himself back to the group.

"Aiight?" Jake nodded to the girl. Best make short introductions and go grab a plant. "Juhh-jake Upstead," he added, and looked around. "Shhhall I get a puhh-plant?"

Oh, so her answer had been sorta correct? Wow.That actually shocked her to get a "very good" from Bunz.Smiling to herself, Sarah listened as she replied to everyone else and then went on to give instructions.They needed to get into groups? Alwayssss with the partnering.Always.But tea making?? Nicccceeeee.

Sighing, Sarah looked sideways and nudged the Gryffindor Prefect next to her. "Hey, Chris, wanna be in my group? We'd still need a couple of others though...." she said, glancing around for anyone that might take notice of the shortage of people around her.

Mina looked around but still no such luck in finding her friends. Where could they be when she needed them? Pouting slightly, she walked around in hopes that maybe a group might need a fourth or some thing.

"Sure." Becca said happy to have a group of assorted peoples, "Wonder how exactly this'll be done. I've never made tea from scratch before."

Melanie frowned at Bunbury's sarcastic response. At least her answer was right. Oh well, though. Melanie just brushed it off. At least she wasn't the only one that received a snarky response.

She was actually pretty excited when they got to move on to the practical part of the lesson. She didn't really like tea that much, but at making it should be fun! Also, Melanie noted, tea plants probably didn't eat people or strangle them purple. The Hufflepuff hurriedly looked about for a partner, before all the people she knew were taken...

She didn't exactly see someone she knew, but Melanie remembered her from the scavenger hunt in one of the other Herbology classes. Her name started with an M... And she was helpful. PLUS nice.

That was about all she remembered. "Hi...there. Wanna be in a group together?" she asked the Ravenclaw hopefully. "Please." Melanie added as an afterthought, giving her a small smile.

Obviously Evelyn knew that Destiny knew that Evelyn knew she was up to something..

Well, Bunz didn't say they needed gloves to do this, so they must not need them..unless, 'Do you think it bites?' It was still Bunz teaching this class and you never know what to expect. It could have been a finger eating tea plant and no one would know until you were missing fingers.

Destiny wasn't going to pick a tea leave first, not now anyway.

Excellent. It was like Slytherin Power over here.

Marie was hanging around Evan a lot lately. 'I suppose you can work with us.' The more the merrier she supposed. Although she didn't know how merry she could be if it really was a finger eating tea plant. Which gave her an idea.

Destiny took the plant away from Evelyn, before she got a chance to hug that first, and held it out towards Marie, 'Pick a leaf and tell me if it bites.' If Marie lost a finger, then they would know to wear gloves.

Muhahaha!

"Alriiiiiight," Jake said, in a totally what he thought was cool way. He looked over to the tea plants and started over. "One camellia ssssinesnis, cuhh-coming up," he added, before he grabbed a random plant and brought it back to the worktable.

Once he was stood in front of it, staring intently, Jake looked at the other girls.

"Soooo..." he started, looking awkward. Well... he couldn't remember what he was looking for. "Whuhh-what do they llllook like?"

That's it, Jake. Smoooooth.

Becca smiled, "They've got white flowers with yellow nectar in the middle. The leaves and bud can be used to make tea." She recalled.

Okaaaaay...somehow Nancy got the impression Bunbunz was a bit...well, not her usual self. Straaaaaange!

Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no!!!

Now came the actual Herbology part. Eek! WhattodoWhattodoWhattodo???????!!! She needed parnters. And ones who knew stuff about Herbology. Ones who new what the new leaves and what the old leaves of that tea-plant thingy were. Only whoooo?

Frantically scanning the classroom in search for somebody to partner up Nancy's blue eyes lingered on Torin shortly before with a small annoyed sigh the proceeded. Guh! Too slow. Now HE would have been an awesome partner. Well, well, again too slow. Hmpf.

"Any group I can still join?"

Mina turned as she heard someone speaking to her. Smiling she nodded. "Sure, I'd like that." she replied. She was really starting to think there wasn't anyone left to partner with. "I'm Mina, by the way" she introduced herself. The Hufflepuff looked familiar to her, but she couldn't really remember names that well.

"Well yeeeaaaahhhh," Jake nodded in response to the last part, suddenly remembering what they were meant to do. That was why they were doing this; to make icky tea.

Man... couldn't they just go get some teabags?

"Buhh-but you ccccan't see the ffflowers IN the buhh-buds... everything luhh-looks like..." he screwed up his face in concentration. What was the word? Ah yes. "Leaves."

Bella looked left and right for someone she could work with, everyone seemed to have there own partners. Looking at the tea leafs the Professor had, she wondered if she was aloud to work on her own.

Becca smiled as Jake stuttered. "Yeah, you're right." Maybe this was as boring as it had sounded Becca would've found more excitement at staring at a slug as it moved across the pavement infront of her house, "So Jake, you're a Hufflepuff, right? What year are you?"

Scrunching up his nose, Jake pulled the plant closer to himself, feeling each of the leaves. He occasionally came across what felt like a lumpy leaf, but still wasn't sure... maybe it was those things.

"Yuhh-yeah," he nodded, deciding to just GO for it. He had nothing to lose, right? He could always steal another plant. "I'm fuhh-fourth year... bbbbut I don't always sssseem like it," Jake added, tugging a few what-must-have-been-buds from the plant and setting them on the worktable. He had referring to his height; still at 4'9" (was he still that height? The ground seemed to be further away by a couple of inches) he seemed more like a first year. He had, of course, started at Hogwarts at a little under this height.

And then of course, there were the absolute tantrums he tended to throw.

"Whuhh-what about yyyyou?" he asked, pushing the plant towards Becca so she could have a turn (and so Jake could doss about).

Becca watched as Jake felt the plant and took a few buds off of it. "Oh yeah? Me too, though I'm a Ravenclaw. I tend to act like I'm five years old as opposed to fourteen." She laughed. Taking the plant Jake was offering she began to snip off some buds and leaves. "You play quidditch, by any chance?"

Oooooohhh, Nancy.

Sarah spotted the Slytherin from the other side of the greenhouse.She still didn't know her all that well, but Mariel liked her and that was good enough for Sarah.Shuffling around a few other people, she made her way around the table and tapped Nancy on the shoulder. "Uhh hey Nancy?" Would she even remember who the heck she was? "Do you wanna join up for this? I've asked Chris Potter as well," she smiled, gesturing over towards her fellow Prefect.

"Cool." Melanie replied idly. Her eyes lit up as Mina told her her name, a smile spreading across her face once more. Knew it started with an M... "Call me Melanie. Melanie Lockhart." Melanie said, taking a cheerful bow as she introduced herself.

Then, when she came up, she glanced around as people began to pluck at their plants, keeping her eyes open for anyone in need of a group. After all, they still needed at least one more person.

It didn't take long to find someone standing alone in the crowd of students. "Hey! You!" Melanie waved her hand around a little bit, over people's head's, to get the girl's attention. "Need a group?" she inquired with a toothy smile, polite and to the point.

Torin turned towards the girl that was talking to them now, and saw that it was Kiri. Or that was what he was sure her name was. He didn't really know her all that well; he had only met her once and he was in 4th Year at the time.

But he still would work with her gladly.

"Yeah, of course you can join." He nodded at her with a smile. The more the merrier he figured. Even though she sounded like she was feeling a bit ill. Bloody colds.

"Seem puhh-pretty mmmature to mmme," he shrugged, smiling slightly. Oh yeah, he'd seen her around. He remembered people. Mmhmmm.

Watching the way Becca snipped off the buds as opposed to his just pulling them off, Jake tilted his head. "Yeah," he replied. "Suhh-seeker... Do you?"

Looking back up at Bunbury, Jake rubbed the back of his neck. Best that they quit talking soon.

Finally! After a whole ten minutes of trying to get that icky bit of nail off, she had done it!! Oh yes indeedy. She dropped her finger and looked around her.

Uh-oh. Looks like everyone was pairing up. Now who to go with? Hmmm. Lucille cast a look around for anyone she knew. Ok, there was Torin, but she was NOT going ANYWHERE near him. Nuh-uh. Not since the tarantula incident. Pft. And Warren thought her and Torin were funny? Insane.

Lucille was justtt about to try and lay low and blend in with the desk while the practical went on, when she heard a familiar voice. Her head turned.

Nancy? Yup, she could go for that. She made herway over, just about to say "ill go with you-" when someone got there first.

Ooh. Shiny prefect badge too. Well she couldn't be worse than Torin, surely? Lucille heaved a sugh, blew her white fringe out of her eyes, and made herway over to Nancy and the prefecty person.

"Heyyyyyy," she said, drawing the word out. "Nancy, hello! How's the wrist after the walkin-into-the-wall incedent?" Biiggg grin. She meant it all nicey nicey, but perhaps it didn't come over that way.... "Anyhoooo, can i go with you guys?"

Flutter eyelashes, innocent smile. GOOD. Right. Maybe she should try pouting again like Old Fishy suggested? Egh, maybe not. It didn't work with Warren. She settled for a broad, if slightly scary, grin.

Yes.

Eek! In the end she would have to work with Bunbunz. O___o Now that would totally end in a disaster...and most likely in a great number of pointloss for Slytherin. But there had to be somebo-

OH NO! Somebody was tapping her on the shoulder. Probably Bunbunz forcing her to work on the tea-plant thingy with her! No, that was not going to happen. She would feign...uhm...maybe she would just "faint". Or something. Not that she would be able to do that authentically but y'know she could at least try. Slowly, very slowly Nancy turned around, the soles of her boots squeaking against the floor. Should she faint now or-

Thank MERLIN! Sarah! It was only Sarah. If she were one for hugs she would have totally hugged the Hufflepuff right now. As she wasn't, though, Nancy simply beamed at her. "Sarah! Yes, I'd love to join guys."

Should she tell her about her inability to tell the difference between the Devil's Snare and a Mandrake? No...maybe they wouldn't pair up with her then...

Still beaming at Sarah like a maniac - okay, hopefully she wasn't scaring the Hufflepuff off - Nancy was just about to take a step into the direction she'd gestured at when..."Lucille!" Somehow it didn't become apparent from her tone whether she was pleased to see the girl or y'know, not. She'd been the reason she had run into a wall after all. Cough.

...which OF COURSE she had to mention. Hmpf. "Oh, just lovely, thanks for asking." Cue sweet fake grin. She knew Lucille wasn't trying to be mean - okay maybe a bit - but it was still annoying. Stupid wall. Stupid race. No, she was not going to say Stupid food but you get the point...

"Uh...sure, I guess. Sarah?" Nancy turned to the Prefect with a questioning look on her face.

"Aw, thanks! You're too kind." Becca said smiling back at Jake. She wasn't that mature...well, certainly not now, as Enid and Cissy were bringing out her mischevious side. "I'm a lot less mature than most think."

"Mhm, but I'm not very good. I'm just a reserve." Becca said adding, "My brother's much better than I am, always has been. But, he has the advantage, being that he's older than I am."

Realizing why Jake had stopped talking, she shut her mouth too. Bunbury would instruct them on how to work the plants soon.
