Just then Evan realised the redness of Lyra's eyes, and he gasped loudly. "Lyra!" he half-shouted concerned, forgetting everything for a moment. She was ill because of him! And she was lying. Being a sucker at understanding lies, his senses surprised even themselves and understood it was a lie, though the next part was obviously true. Ignoring her question, he got to his feet and ran to the end of the table and ran to her at her side. "We are either going to the nurse or the common room, choose." he said and held her face between his hands, looking through her eyes. He would not leave her like that. She was still his best friend, although it hurt them both, and he would help her even if it meant breaking his own heart more.

Helena chuckled through a bite of her combined potatoes and corn and swallowed enough to answer, Yes, not drowning is quite a plus, but I did grow quite fond of the Gryffindor common room.... Maybe for one reason or another.... Lena bit back a sigh and took another bite from her plate, pausing for a moment to smile at Chris, just glad they were back to normal.

Lyra also gasped loudly when Evan gasped out loud and she fell backwards off the bench. She fell to the floor and blinked for a few seconds. Realising what had happened she stood up again and sat on the bench. Lyra looked in front of her but .....Evan was gone? Tears started to water her tired eyes and she looked around. Where was.. "Eeeek!" she winched as someone had held her face between its hands. She calmed down very quickly and the tiredness took over again when she met Evan's determined eyes. "T-thank you , Evan" she said softly while giving a small smile , her eyes rolling backwards and she fell forewards against him as blackness covered her eyesight.

Chris poured himself some pumpkin juice. He took his index finger and traced around the top of the goblet. "What happened if you could swim? Aww that would suck. I feel bad for people who were in the common room when that happened." He said. "You did? really?" He asked raising an eyebrow. Maybe Lena liked it because of him. Heeheee that would totally make his day...

Helena chuckled at this.... maaaaybe she hadn't mentioned that part. I was in the common room, actually, she said with a wide smile at the end before nodding at his question. Yes, after something is your home for so long, it grows on you - skulls or no skulls. She grinned, remembering her comment about the absence of the dreadful things last year.

Kevin dragged himself into the great hall and sat himself down at the end of the table and sighed he was really depressed about something but he knew that he had to appear happy otherwise his friends would start to worry about him

Lilly had been sitting at the Gryffindor table when Kevin came in. she was so happy because she hadn't seen him yet this term, so she rushed over and said. "hey Kevin, how are you? it's been a while."

Kevin looked up at Lilly and said "Oh hey Lilly i have been alright thanks and yeah it has been a while"

"Oh right! I did know that. But you know me. I forget things sometimes." Chris said shrugging. He took some mashed potatos onto his plate and took a bit of them. Hmmm right the skull thingy, they had only talked about that once. "Well it's good to know you at less liked the common room even if it was skull less." He said chuckling. "I do have to ask. Do you even like those darn skulls?" He asked.

"how has your term been this year? anything exciting happen? what did you do over summer break?" she said at top speed.

Kevin smiled and said "My term has been ok so far, summer break was pretty boring for me apart from the fact that i split up with my girlfriend during the holidays" Kevin still liked Lilly but knew that he wouldnt have time to get into a relationship just now because he was leaving as soon as he got off the train at the end of term

Evan winced when he saw her eyes watery. It was all his fault! He was such a jerk. He had to win her heart again, like a true friend. His intent was to support Lyra to the crazy unique nurse but she... FAINTED. His blue eyes got watery too, and he shook Lyra fiercefully. "LYRA! WAKE UP! OH GOD!" He was at the edge of breakdown. He looked around for someone to help, but apparently no one was caring. Man, she was heavy! And he was afraid to levitate her in case he lost contcentration which seemed likely in this situation, so he had to ask for help. "HELP! ANYONE?" he shouted angrily. Seriously, a girl had just FAINTED! And NO one cared this! For the first time he hated the people, and tried to drag her on his own, but he failed, almost falling and dropping her too. "PLEASE?" He looked through the table at everyone. Why didn't they care?!

Sigh.... yes, he did forget things, but that was just Chris. She mentally chuckled. No, of course not. But they do add flair to the common room, I guess, she said thoughtfully, taking a bite of her mashed potatoes and pondering this for a moment. She smiled slightly after a moment.

Aaron walked into the great hall with Iris and led her to a spot neaar the middle of the table. He grabbed to goblets and they both immediately filled with hot chocolate. It's warmness warmed Aaron up right away and he hoped it did the same to Iris. It wasn't until now did he realize he was all damp and muddy... Just like the sandbox last term.

She was in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. She didn't wanted to leave this place, it was so peaceful and relaxing. But the voice of Evan wasn't relaxing and it seemed to come out of nowhere. Lyra looked around and noticed trees in front of her. She started running because she was sure his voice was coming from that way. She ran as fast as she could until the trees got away and a light was at the other end of the pathway....

Wake up, wake up , wake up.

Evan's voice seemed to ring through her whole body.

Lyra opened her eyes as she looked up at a ceiling. Where was she? it still had the outside sky , was she still dreaming? Lyra groaned slightly as her head started to hurt. She held her hand against her right eye and looked up to see Evan shouting for help. "Evan" she said softly, a sword pushed through her heart when she heard him shout like that. He was...worried? "Evan..i'm alright" she muttered with a little more strength now and sat up. Wait since when was she laying on the ground? And thats when it came back. The great hall, Evan, fainting..."I want to go to the Common Room..please" she said as coughed a bit. "Bed time stories, begin tonight" she grinned stupidly

Iris sat at the Slytherin table, near where Aaron had led them to. She smiled as she watched him get two goblets of hot chocolate... Awww ... he didn't have to get mine as well ... She smiled gratefully and took one of the goblets off him, "thanks..." The hot chocolate was really warm, and just the heat coming from the mug was warming her up. She looked at her skirt ... Oh my gosh ... I bet other people think Aaron and I are right tramps, going round looking like this ... She looked at Aaron and smiled shyly, then looked at his clothes, seeing they were just as manky as hers were. Great.

He gave a shy smile and sipped his hot chocolate. he looked at everyone in the hall. I bet non of them feel as awkward as me right now. He turned back to Iris and cntinued to sip his hot chocolate. He didn't know what to say.

"Oh you don't...But if I remember correctly you were complaining last term about how you missed have them in the common room." Chris said. Oh yeah sometime he could remember things. "A flair? I suppose you can say that. But you can also call it creepy." He said chuckling.

Hmmm.... that was new - well, the remembering thing wasn't, but since when did Chris dissect everything Helena said. I supposed I more of missed the homey feeling - before I started feeling at home there.... Lena trailed off and shrugged slightly. Though she did laugh when he said they were creepy. Us Slytherins are creepy, hun, she said with a grin.

Heeheee she did feel at home in the Gryffindor common room. "That does sort of make sense. I guess the common room becomes like a home after awhile. Well this whole place does." Chris said taking a quick look around. "Yes Slytherins are creepy. Very much sooooo." He said teasing Lena of course.

Helena nodded; it had taken her awhile to get used to this place and now it was more of a home to her than her actual home.... Very creepy, she agreed with a nod and small smile. She set her fork down on her plate, though she'd only eaten a few bites. She took another sip from her pumpkin juice and watched Chris out of the corner of her eye.

Chris took a sip out of his own goblet when he was finished he found Lena watching him out of the corner of her eye. Okayyyy. "Weirdo." He said though he knew why she was doing it. "See now you are a creepy weirdo." He told her nodding. Ohhhhhhh Chris was probably going to get himself in trouble soon if he kept this up. Though it was fun to pick on her...

Helena set down her goblet, subsequently sticking her tongue out at him in the promise. Just as long as you don't go calling me names tomorrow, that's A.O.K. with me, she said, her small smile flickering up into a grin as she spoke. She was enthralled that they were back to normal.

As Sylvia stood up, she looked down at him with a frown. She couldn't leave him like this; all depressed because of the TWO bad readings he had had. So, she slowly sat back down again, also feel quite smug that he wanted her to stay.

Or so she thought.

"I'm not going anywhere." Sylvia smiled, and put her bag on the floor. "Not unless, you come with me. I can't leave you on your own can I?" She giggled.

Evan was too busy with glaring at everyone at the table furiously to hear her first mutter. So if Lyra had died here, none of them would care it? And he had shouted, for Merlin's sake! They were all caught up in their own world. Idiots. For the first time he hated this house. Now fully understanding that no one would help him, he gathered all his strenght to drag her when her lips seemed to move. He quickly ducked down and leaned on her face to catch. He glowered at her too. She was NOT alright! She had just fainted, and it wasn't something you could just not care. He opened his mouth to object when she said she wanted to go to the Common Room. He considered it. She seemed strong enough... and they could probably find a prefect to help them there if she was worse. He nodded, and ignored her grin and that statement. He cared nothing now, there was just her. He helped her to get up, and caught the glimpse of Aaron and Iris walk in. Okay, time to run. He wasn't up to any kind of love scene now. And he didn't think he'd be able to bear their stupid glances at him helping Lyra. He was angry anyway, and he was afraid of arguing.

"C'mon Lyra." he said to her, glowering at lovebirds. Ugh. How could Fallon bear this scene everytime? Maybe they were just showing off Evan? Whatever it was, he just wanted to take Lyra to the Common Room. Supporting her and dragging a bit, he left the Great Hall. Phew. It was close.
