And he had a feeling that Fyo would be asking him questions. He felt bad for not telling him sooner but well.. Fyo had just gotten back and all that. "Well, this was a little before you decided to come back. In the secret passage of the dungeon. And I wanted to tell you and Reese when I first saw you, but it was just such a nice day that I didn't want to spoil it." Hopefully Fyo wouldn't be mad at him now. "Well, we're opposites," he explained to that last comment. "Besides, she's keeping tabs on me. I can't afford to be suspended again or I can't continue my magical education. I'll have to go to a Muggle school." Stupid parents. Quote:
He watched her as she then proceeded to send a letter off. "So how are you? You have that little problem sorted out now?" He remembered her asking him for advice about a boy. Quote:

Rhea turned more towards the other person there. She hadn't noticed, man now she looked rude. "Oh! I didn't know that you had a sister Mr.Popular, very interesting." She proceeded to smile at the girl. "Excuse my manners. I'm Rhea Bellaire, fifth year Hufflepuff and future editor and chief of The Daily Prophets." She turned to Torin and frowned slightly. "Unfortunately I haven't fixed that problem just yet. I think I'm waiting on the right time to do so." |

Quickly frowning Tammy gripped the enveloped letter in her hand, and darted up the stairs of the Owlery. Okay, darted wasn't the right word to use. More like tip toed. On the balls of her toes -toe knuckles as she called them- and making sure not to slip or tread in anything EWWWWish in her heels. EUGH. WHY? WHY? WHY? Was the floor so icky yacky EWWWIE? Did they not have a cleaner? Bird poopy wasn't NICE! She sighed, ignoring people that were in tehre, this letter was important. Sealed and ready to send. "Hullo Bristol. How you beeen." She sang quickly, raising a hand to stroke the owl that hadn't been used much. Okay, well. The letter wasn't finished. "I'll send it in a bit Bristol. You want some treats? EY?" Giggle. Placing down some treats before the owl, Tam took a seat. WOW. atleast it was clean . Peeling away at the recently stuck piece of envelope she slid out the folded letter and began to re-read. Not wanting to sound suckish. Quote:

*shifty* Walking carefully up to the entrance to the Owlery, Adrienne looked around, her expression curiously blank, to make sure that nobody was in there before stepping inside. The plan wouldn't work if any of them got caught. Making sure to avoid any of the droppings that were on the floor, since not only would they, unless she cast liberal cleaning spells afterward, pretty much ruin her shoes, but they would also give away the fact she'd been up here. At which point she would have to come up with some excuse. At least she could always say she had just been visiting Rochester. It wasn't entirely a lie. Before she could even call for him, her snowy owl swooped down from the perch he had been on halfway up the tower, tilting his head and looking at her curiously before hooting softly. "I have something for you to deliver," she said in a low voice, stroking his feathers for a second before reaching into her robe pocket and pulling a tightly folded piece of parchment out of it. Attaching it securely to his leg, she then leaned over and whispered something. It always paid to be careful, and she had no reason to think she wasn't being listened to. At least by the other owls who were in the owlery. As Rochester flew off, she went to the window and called out, "Make sure you get there safely. Be careful!" Watching until her owl was a tiny white speck in the sky, she then turned and made her way carefully back out of the owlery and disappeared back into the rest of the castle. |
Mentally crossing his fingers, Torin slowly made his way up the stairs with the letter that Tammy had written to his mother. He just knew that it would work on her, but there was still that nagging thought at the back of his head that said that he would be going home. This was why he hadn't sounded too confident to his friends; he would rather pleasantly surprise them than greatly disappoint them. So this was why he was solemn when he took the letter out of his pocket and looked over what it said for the millionth time. Quote:
He summoned his owl, tied the letter to her leg and sent her off on her way. |
Bella made it up to the owlery. "oooo the owls are cute, but it was a little stinky in the room since there was poo everywhere, if Choluna was here, Choluna would be freaking out." she thought. Well Bella looked back at her note, making sure it didn't need anymore writing in it. Note: Quote:
"Now to pick out an owl." Bella went over to all the owls. Lets see. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ahha! now this owl looked like a nice owl, snowwhite with some brown and read feathers. sure he was a little dirty, but still adorable. So she took her letter and tried it to the owl's leg. She watched as the owl flew out into the sky wait, it was norwich right? lets see they'd lived in Canterbury, Chichester, Derby, Exete, Leicester, Liverpool, Norwich, Peterborough, Preston, Salisbury, St Albans, Truro, and Worcester , 1,2,3,4,5......... 7,1111, yes it was norwich, few. |
Having gotten the heads up that her teammate had sent off her note, Ainsley headed up to the owlery, careful to appear calm and normal not suspecious especially when she noticed she wasn't alone. Her actions deliberate almost as if not entirely her own. She looked up at the ceiling hoping her owl Indy was there and not off flying and hunting, smiling when his familiar shape was spotted in the rafters amonst the others. "Come Indy," she called holding out her arm as she had been taught, the bird answering and flying to perch on her shoulder. "I need you to send this out as quick as you can," the gryffindor girl instructed taking out the rolled note from her pocket and handing it to the spotted bird. The owl giving a hoot as if to say he understood. Giving him a scratch in his favorite spot Ainsley let the bird go, the owl flying off as its owner turned and left the tower to return downstairs to her studies as if nothing. |
Lyddia walked up the Owlery steps into the room filled with owl droppings and the owls themselves. She sat down in a corner and took out a piece of parchment and a quill. Then she began to write, Quote:

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. How come Kaika has been carrying around with this for a week?! It's just...well, she had an excuse. NEWTs and Quidditch. Yeah. Two excuses. Though, there are no excuses when it comes to friends, and not when it comes to Savannah. She was so pleased to hear from her that almost instantly she wrote something back, except...she never owl it, until...NOW. Quote:

So, it seemed all the letters Jake had wanted to send could now actually be sent, since his owl was back. And some of them were... less than happy, to be quite honest. And some were... cryptic... His letter writing was taking on a morbid kind of twist. There was no letter to his foster mother; he didn't want to lie and tell her everything was okay, nor did he want to tell her everything was NOT okay. The rest... well, Jake sighed as he gave Fly a bundle of letters, and the creature looked at him as if he was insane. "Hey, you rrrrecovered from Seattle, dun look at me lllike tha'," the boy retorted, because arguing with an owl was just the thing to do. Fly seemed to give him a look, and stuck out his leg. "Good boy," Jake grinned. Quote:

Kylie didn't have one of her own owls, though she wanted one, so she used a school owl for the first time all year. She attached a three notes to its foot. Quote:

Lyddia walked up to the Owlery and took out her quill and parchment. She spends way too much time here, she realized. Always coming and going with new words on paper. Well, she might as well start writing. Quote:

Lyddia got up and called her Dad's owl, Howie, over to her. She tied the many letters to it's leg and let it fly out the window. She watched as it disappeared inthe sky and then happily, yet sadly, made her way down the Owlery steps. |
Letters, letters and more letters. Eva Longwood had to admit she had been to overly distracted to send a response to any of the letters she had received. She had started out for the easiest one, the mandatory letter she was supposed to send her mother. Now, she was carrying five different letters for five different people. Mother: checked. Quote:
Luce: checked. Quote:
Jake Rider: checked. Quote:
Ryan Finche: Oh. Merlin! I forgot it! Eva had comepltely forgot she had promised Nick to write an encouraging letter to Ryan. The girl would be back to England in just a few months and soon she'd be at Hogwarts for her first year as an Hogwarts students. The truth was that Eva didn't feel like writing encouraging lletters about Hogwarts. Two studentds were dead, Helios being one of them. How were the students supposed to deal with the fact that Hogwarts wasn't safe anymore? And for once in that shcool year, Eva felt really glad she was already graduating. |
Being a cat person meant that Anastasia did not, nor never had, owned an owl. Nor did she have any desire to... obviously. It was just much easier to deal with filthy birds as little as possible by borrowing school owls when she had to send a letter. Today she was sending a letter to her friend. Sort of. She click-clacked into the Owlery and marched over to the...er... wall of owls, tapping the letter in her hand as she contemplated which owl to use... they all smelled equally bad.... |

So he was now an engaged man and of course he would have to let his family know. Officially of course, Joshua probably already knew. Marcus, made the long walk up to the owlery, whistling 'Here comes the bride' as he climbed up the stairs. He would have just sent a patronus to his family with the news but he knew his brother liked it when the owls delivered the mail. Marcus, smiled a little at that thought, his brother was weird sometimes. Finally reaching the stop of the stairs, Marcus pushed open the door with a bang and looked around the room and his eyes fell on...Anastasia Bunbury. Oh how ironic that was. There stood the woman he ALMOST proposed to. Marcus, lent against the door frame in a casual manner a small smile on his face. He had to admit the woman was still as gorgeous as ever but she had nothing on Iliana. "You want to be careful there Annie. Owl poo is deadly on designer shoes." |
Quote:
"These old things?" The redhead blew him off with a swish of her hand. Of course they were hardly more than a few weeks old but she wasn't going to let him get to her. Because she didn't care what Marcus had to say or if he happened to notice how the green matched her robes perfectly and contrasted her hair nicely. Didn't care. "So.... did you stalk me all the way to the Owlery, Axe?" She turned back to the owls and made a 'come here' motion to the golden one. Of course it didn't budge. |
Quote:
Marcus, pushed off the door frame and sauntered over to her. With his free hand he took out an owl pellet and held it out to the owl that she was trying to coax down from its perch. It promptly flew down and landed on his hand and he gave it the treat. He turned his head to look at Annie, a small twinkle in his eye. "See what happens when you are nice? You tend to get the same treatment in return." And he wasn't just talking about the owl either. "So how have you been Anastasia? Been a while since I last saw you." Actually Marcus, couldn't even recall the last time that he had seen her. |
Quote:
Annie couldn't help her nose wrinkling at both the insinuation about being nice and at the smell of the owl up close. "Are you using that one?" she gestured toward the bird. "Or," Annie cleared her throat, "may I borrow an owl pellet to go be nice to a different one?" Ha. "I've been fine. Not the best term around here but...... you know.... it got better." A little time away from school helped too. "What about you, Marcus?" He seemed a little... different. Less annoying for some reason. |
Quote:
He looked at her surprised and reached into his pocket and pulled out another owl pellet. Marcus, handed it over to her wordlessly. He was in far too good a mood to tease her about handling the pellet. Ah yes he remembered the incident she'd had with Jake and although he was still a little annoyed about that, he trusted that Ethan had spoken to her about it. And besides he wasn't particularly happy with Jake at the moment anyway. The kid had actually attacked him. Now that was gratitude for you. Shaking himself, he gave Annie a huge smile. "I have been excellent Annie. The best thing has happened to me actually." He held up the envelope in his hand again, "Hence the news to my family." |
*super......slow......sorry* Quote:
....she always had been a curious Bunny. Of course Annie snatched it out of his hand with her free one and started fanning it about and holding it up toward the light of the window as if she could see through thick parchment and envelopes. "What is this? Did you.... start playing your guitar again? Did you get a promotion? Did you get a great deal of galleons from a good gamble? Did you win a lifetime supply of chocolates?" she smirked a bit at the last suggestion and turned back toward him, her own letter temporarily forgotten. "Well well well. What has Axe Lawson been up to lately?" As if she cared. |
Quote:
Typical Anastasia has to know everything that is going on with everyone else. Marcus, didn't bother to try and get the letter back off her. It was what she wanted and he'd many years of her games. "Seriously Annie, you should be working at the Daily Prophet. Your nosiness is wasted here." It would be so easy to summons the letter back to him with a mere flick of his wand that was now in his hand but she seemed so intent on knowing what his news was, he decided to give her just what she wanted. Like he always did. "I was merely informing my family, that I am getting married." Now there was a bombshell for ya! |
Quote:
She shook her head for a second to clear away such ridiculous plotting and had to blink several times at Marcus' small announcement. Married. Really. Really? "Pardon me, I spaced there for a second and thought I heard you say something about marriage." Annie actually laughed and took a step back toward him, wafting the letter about still. "C'mon Axe. What's your real good news? I can be happy for you." But not about marriage... because surely he was joking about that.... |
Quote:
Folding his arms across his chest, Marcus watched Annie intently for her reaction. Not that it mattered what she thought but he had to admit he was curious as to see how she was going to take the news. He caught her wrist in his hand and tapped the envelope with his wand, not taking his eyes off her. "I'm serious Annie. I am getting married." Marcus nodded towards the now opened letter in her hand. "Read it for yourself" he said quietly, still watching her intently. |
