Default Hospital Wing Rules and Guidlines - READ THIS

Hospital Wing Rules:

• All SS Board Rules and School RPG rules apply.

• Your first post regarding any malady or injury MUST include a LINK (not a quote) to the post where you character first started suffering from the malady or sustained the injury. I can’t treat it if I don’t know what you did to yourselves.

• When Caroline says you’re healed/healthy/fine, you ARE healed/healthy/fine. Actually this goes for pretty much any member of staff. This is not because we want to stunt your creativity, it’s because we have to be able to set limits. I understand that some people want to have dramatic injuries or conditions. So if you want your character to have a serious injury or illness, you can work it out with me via PM and we’ll see what we can do BUT if you just show up in my hospital with a severed limb or coughing up a lung, Cari will take care of it quickly and send you on your way.

• You can chose to die of an injury or illness, but that is a choice with permanent repercussions; you are moved into "Dead Student" Usergroup (which has no School RPG posting access) for the rest of the term, and your old student can never be played again, so consider it carefully before you go that route.

• Would you burst into your doctor’s private office in real life? Or the recovery ward? Or the Quarantine ward? Probably not. Just like in real life, you need Caroline’s permission- IC preferably, OOC at the very least- to post in Caroline’s Office, The Hospital Ward, or Quarantine. Posting in those places without my permission will earn you the loss of points or maybe even some time spent in Quarantine.

• Everyone has to come through the waiting room and interact with Cari to get to any other part of the Hospital. And unless, for some strange (likely plot related) reason I specifically post that Cari’s not anywhere in the Hospital Wing, she’s ALWAYS in the Waiting Room, so it’s never okay to bypass the waiting room and go bursting into her office or any of the other wards. It’s very rude, and Cari takes off points for bad manners.

• I never divulge the status of patients or any medical information. Please don’t ask me OOC. You’re free to ask me IC, but you’ll get a similar answer.

• There are specific rules for each Hospital Wing Thread. Please respect them.

Threads and Their Purposes:

Waiting Room: This is where injured or sick students, and anyone who is escorting them post to say, "Hey, Healer-Person, I'm hurting! Heeaal me!" And the Healer-Person does their stuff. I ask that you limit your posting in here so as not to clog up the thread, and keep your chatting to the Visitors Area, which isn't another Area, your character hasn't moved an inch, it just makes it easier for me to keep track everything.

Visitors Area: This is where injured or sick people are magically cloned to visit and chatter and RP with friends, so they can talk about how "Who KNEW you shouldn't mix an acid and a base? That was a really big boom! Think the Healer can grow my eyebrows back for me?"

Caroline's Office: This is mah office, and if you get Caroline's permission IC before busting in on her, come on in. If you don't, enter at your own risk, she takes points for that.

Hospital Ward: This is the extended stay, recovery ward. While there are a few beds in the waiting room, this where people rest. And people can visit here too, but Caroline sometimes kicks visitors out when patients need rest or privacy. Again, you need my IC permission to come in, or you need to be ill or injured (and brought in by Caroline or other staff) else Caroline will take points.

The Quarantine Ward: Only Caroline and Quarantine Patients are allowed in. If a student somehow managed to get into the Quarantine Ward without Caroline's knowledge, as soon as she discovered them, they would also have to be Quarantined for safety's sake.
