Dominic was honestly a bit nervous as he made his way towards the Headmaster's office. Sure Headmaster Bontecou had entrusted him (and the other Prefects) with the password to his office should an emergency arise, but that situation had never come up. Not until a few hours prior when the Headmaster had sent out a memo regarding a meeting to be held in his office. Since then, the almost-seventeen year old had been fretting. What if the password didn't work? What if it was a trap and Bontecou was going to change them all into werewolves? Feeding time.

NO! Bontecou would never do that to them. He was nice.

Sighing, the Hufflepuff had muttered the password to the stolen gargoyle and relief swept over when the stone let him pass. Climbing the stairwell, Dominic rapped twice on the door. It was going to be okay.

"Come on in! The door's unlocked!" the Headmaster called. He was wearing a blue kitchen apron with bronze lettering that said, "Ravenclaw: A genius in every way" and magically flipped between that saying, an eagle with a book and an eagle wearing a chef's hat flipping burgers. It was clearly a custom job. He was also wearing a matching chef's hat and oven mitts and standing over the food.

Tammy, consistenly checking her shoes were still on because they were completely too big, had told the stone gargoyle the password she knew, with her eyes closed. Just incase it tried to eat her or something. And because its eyes were just.. AH.

Thankfully, it had let her past and she was now standing outside Headmaster Bontecou's office. Partially hyperventilating at the fact she was standing here and the door seemed incredibly HUGE!, compared to herself, she knocked.

But, as her knuckled met with the door the first time, it opened itself. More than likely, it had probably just been pushed to or something. Smiling awquardly into the room, before walking in. "Hello Headmaster, Dominic."

When Rachel had first received the memo, she had been SURE she was in trouble since the first thing she saw was the Headmaster's signature at the bottom of the parchment. After several seconds - in which she did nothing but widen her eyes and open her mouth so wide it would have made cartoon characters jealous - she read the rest of the note and sighed in relief.

She had spent the rest of the time making her way to the office wondering what the meeting could be about. True, it was an honor to be invited to the Headmaster's office yet she WAS kind of hungry so maybe they could make it quick and she'd still have time to grab some pie or something.

Uttering the password, the sixteen year old stepped onto the famous revolving staircases and looked up expectantly, having always been curious to see what the office looked like. "Hey Dominic and, er, Tamzin," Rachel greeted the two Hufflepuffs, smilng at the Head Boy and merely nodding at Wood as she stepped onto the landing.

FOOD!!

Er, food? "Good evening sir," Rachel automatically greeted him, eying the room hungrily as she followed the two other Prefects inside and - WHOA! What was he WEARING?! Bursting into a small fit of uncontrollable giggles, the sixth year immediately looked away from the apparently ex-Ravenclaw Headmaster in order to calm herself down. "I like your cooking clothes, Headmaster," she couldn't stop herself from commenting, grinning towards the area just beside his eyes so that she APPEARED to be looking at him, biting her lip to stop another fresh roll of amusement from escaping.

Hehe. Ravenclaws really WERE geniuses in every way. YAY for Headmaster being one!

"Good evening! And thanks, though I do apologize for the display of house bias in a nonpartisan meeting. This is the only cooking outfit I own," Bontecou chuckled. Not that he'd actually done any of the cooking... They didn't need to know that, though. "Did the gargoyle give anyone trouble?"

Chris walked in quickly and saw that alot of the Prefects were already there. "Sorry Professor Bontecou, I had to finish up an Arithmancy problem in the library," he hurried up to the group and smiled at the others and the to thr Headmaster. "Nope the Gargolye didnt give me any trouble."

Ah excellent; it appeared he was early but not for long though. Because just after hearing the Headmaster's jolly voice, his co-prefect followed behind him and then the Ravenclaw female prefect. Giving a small smile to the two female prefects, the seventh year then looked towards the Headmaster. Blue kitchen apron? He cooked? Well of course it made some sense, since Bontecou had been the Potions Master in his fourth year, but it still seemed a little weird.

"Hey Tammy, Rachel, ... Headmaster Bontecou," Dominic finally said, eying the food that the latter was standing off, and breathing in the aromas. Yea so when he got the memo, one thing the Head Boy had not expected was to be served food. Of course it only made sense though; food at every meeting was essential to good reviews.

Shaking his head at the Headmaster's question, he then followed it with a quick nod of understanding about the house bias. So what? The headmaster was a Ravenclaw; as long as he didn't show that bias outside of just for cooking, they were good. "No worries, Headmaster. Just keep the house bias to the cooking outfit, okay?" Dominic mused. "The gargoyle was fine. No troubles here.... Oh, heyy Chris!" The Hufflepuff greeted towards the Gryffindor who made his way in explaining he was finishing up homework in the library.

Evolette was rather confused. Why would the Headmaster call a Prefect meeting during dinner? It seemed a bit odd timing, especially since she had had to cancel on a little dinner date in the Great Hall.

Hmmm. After giving the password to the gargoyle, and arriving at the office, Evolette noted that she, this time, was not the first to arrive, but Denton (EW), that Hufflepuff girl, that Ravenclaw girl and that Gryffindor boy, all of who, she had already forgotten the names of. "Good Evening Headmaster." she called as a way of introducing herself to the room, everyone, minus Denton, got a rather genuine smile. Just because she had forgotten their names, didn't mean she couldn't pretend she knew.

"Good evening!" the headmaster beamed and tipped his blue chef's hat to her. "Well, what do you say we get this party started? Help yourself to some chow!"

Chris greated Dominic as he greeted him and nodded as the Head Girl, Evolette came in. He gave her a smile back and then turned as the Headmaster invited them to grab some food. "Thank you Professor Bontecou the food looks great." he said taking a plate. He was rather hungry. Hopefully the Professors new....condition didn't affect his ability to fully cook meat, because Chris really didnt have the time for a trip to the nurse. He smiled and picked up his fork. He quickly took a glance at the food on his plate, poking it with his fork while no one was looking. All was done. Then with a sigh of relief he took a bite.

The blank, expressionless look in LouAnn's eyes and on her face had returned, causing the girl to appear as if she were in a dream-like state or lost somewhere deep inside her mind. It was something that had been happening quite often lately and was, as far as she knew, triggered by absolutely nothing in particular. All she knew was that one minute she was completely aware of her surroundings, then she'd come to some time later to find that time had passed without her ever being aware of it at all. Her arms hung limply by her side, barely swinging at all as she stared straight ahead and headed up the long staircase towards the headmaster's office. Nevermind how she or the boy next to her had gotten past that stone gargoyle...

With Jake by her side, LouAnn opened the door to the office and stepped inside, her face not changing a bit at the sight of the headmaster or the numerous prefects standing around. She neither moved nor spoke, but instead stood completely still as if frozen in time.

As Jake stood to attention beside LouAnn Purple, he stared around the office, suddenly seemed to be taken aback by something and staringly at the people in there.

Errrr... bad time?

Yes.

Very bad time.

"We need to go," he said suddenly, hardly any emotion in his voice, as he began blinking and looking up at LouAnn, feeling confused.

"..."

When Jake began talking, something inside LouAnn's mind clicked, and she blinked several times and gasped loudly. Her eyes darted around the room, taking in the sight of all the prefects and the headmaster. Her formerly expressionless face wrinkled in worry and fear, and before long she'd burst out into unexplainable tears. How had she gotten here, and what in Merlin's name was she doing? One loud sob later, she grabbed Jake by the hand and pulled him along with her as she hurried off down the stairs and away from the headmaster's office. "I need an---answers," she sobbed.

As LouAnn began crying, Jake was certain they should leave, so he was thankful when the girl grabbed his hand and pulled him along, though he glanced back just one more time, staring at the headmaster for a split second before the door slammed shut.

Chris looked up as the door opened and Jake and a expressionless LouAnn walked in. He was going to great her when he noticed something was definatley wrong and his thoughts were answered when she burst into tears and they both ran back down the stairs. "Oh ok, what was that about?" Chris asked a bit shocked at the sudden outburst.

Leaving the food alone, Tammy stood awquardly over by a wall. She had eaten while doing her homework. So she wasn't going to be bale to fit much else into her stomach. What was left of it anyway. Moving a hand to fiddle with the hem of her skirt, she looked up after hearing the door open again. Expecting to see another prefect walk in..

But it wasn't. Jake, aaand some Gryffindor girl that she didn't know. That was WEIRD.

Pepe was getting out of his chef's gear when two students burst through the door. By the time he disentangled himself from his apron, the two had turned on their heels and headed out of the office. "Er... I guess they didn't want to stay," he chuckled and picked up a plate of his own. "Please, help yourselves and then we'll get started," he added before dishing out some for himself.

Chris turned away from the door and the place where LouAnn and the Hufflepuff were with a confused look, but shook it off as he faced the Headmaster. He was offered food and grabbed a roll and saying, "Thanks Headmaster Bontecou for the food." he said happily. He liked this little Prefect Dinner Party. He was starting to get curious as to what the meeting was going to be about.

Jack entered the Headmasters Office and offered a general 'Hello Everybody. I am very sorry for being late.'

He then put a few nibbles on a plate and said, 'Thank you for the nibbles, Headmaster' and waited to see what the metting was all about.

What the heck? Dominic frowned - stunned when Jacob Upstead and an unknown Gryffindor girl had appeared in the Headmaster's Office. How did they even get past the gargoyle? Probably McKenna left it open . . . it would be just like her to be careless and useless. It was though this diversion that kept Dominic from saying something rude in regards to McKenna completely overlooking him as she smiled at everyone else present. Stupid Slytherin.

Some chow? What were they . . . dogs now?!

Eradicating that thought from his brain once the Headmaster broke the stillness of the room after the little diversion of his own housemate and a Gryffindor, Dominic nodded about the helping himself. Good thing they didn't want to stay; this was a Prefect's meeting and even if they weren't smart enough to realize not to enter past the gargoyle without permission ... they were still smart enough to realize ONLY prefects were present.

Except for the late arrival of the Male Ravenclaw Prefect; but he wasn't even the last one. The Gryffindor female or Slytherin Male (whom Dominic still didn't know by facial recognition, only by name) hadn't arrived yet either.

"Oh hi Jack. No worries; we haven't even really started yet." The seventeen year old explained, as he picked up a plate and dished out some of the food. Honestly though, he wasn't even really that hungry when he probably should have been. Once he'd scooped what he wanted onto his plate, he took one of the chairs that had been set up for them and waited.

"Ummmmm....okay." Evolette mused, raising an eyebrow as the two students high tailed it OUT of the Headmaster's office. Well. At least it had been amusing? Interesting? Whatever. It did not concern her.

She took a seat, as FAR AWAY from Denton as she could, and looked at the contents of her plate, and then the rest of the room, wondering if there was an agenda to this meeting, or just because.

Hmmm.

Either way, they were about to find out.

"Great, well, I think we're just waiting on two more but our head boy and girl can catch them up later," Headmaster Bontecou said as everyone settled down with their food. He brought his own plate over to a chair and sat down, taking a few hearty bites and swallowing before eating again. "Well, I'm sure you're all wondering why I invited you all here tonight. Mostly it was because I wanted to assure you that I'm in tip top shape and am here for you when and if you need me. The second reason was to find out how things are going. So, why don't we go around the room and introduce ourselves, then give us an idea of how you're finding prefect-hood, along with any problems you've encountered." He looked toward the head boy and girl to start.

Emma knocked softly on the headmasters door, awaiting a reply. being a first year, she was quite afraid.

Well of course McKenna would have taken the seat on the opposite side of him. Dominic could really careLESS where she sat, so long as she didn't bother him. If she did though, then they would have some problems to worry about . . .

Dominic shook it off though when the Headmaster joined them in sitting down on the chairs and explained that him and McKenna would catch up the other two later. Great... catching up two people he didn't REALLY know. Guess it was all part of the job.

True, he was wondering why they were having a meeting tonight. He couldn't recall meeting with the Headmaster in his previous two years. Nodding as Headmaster Bontecou explained that he was fine and here for them, he then went on about them introducing himself. Oh and what was that? Looking towards HIM [and then McKenna] to start? Ah very well then...

"Thank you Headmaster," Dominic began, as glanced at his colleagues. "As most of you know, I'm Dominic Denton . . ."

He stopped short though and glanced abruptly towards the door as there was a soft knock, probably barely audible to some. Who was it now? And how did they - like Jacob and that Gryffindor girl - get past the gargoyle?

Pulling his gaze away from the door, he looked back at the Headmaster as if wanting permission to tell her that the headmaster was busy now. "May I?" The seventh year asked, as he rose from his seat [setting his plate down on his chair in the process] and moved towards the door.

Of course the headmaster was aware of someone at the gargoyle as soon as they arrived there, having heard the approaching footsteps with his increased hearing ability. He didn't actually respond to them, though, because it seemed there had been commotion a couple weeks ago at the bottom of his stairs which resulted in no visits. He was surprised when the head boy spoke up about the knocking, though. "Good ears," Bontecou grinned and nodded. "Let whoever it is know that we're in a meeting but if it's urgent, to please come on up."
