Gryffindor House Table

This table seats the noble students of Gryffindor house.

After handing off the package of things for Mariel to Sammi as she made her way to the Ravenclaw table Nathaniel made his way to the Gryffindor table. After sitting down her took a deep breath in. The familiar scent of Hogwarts. He'd missed it oh,so much. He was sure that Sammi would be okay. She knew at least one person in her house so far. That was good. He knew Mariel would keep an eye on her. Nathaniel looked around for any friends in Gryffindor.

Jack walked into the Great Hall, all of his anger from the incident on the train vanishing as he took in the sights of the long house tables, the floating candles, and the enchanted ceiling up above. Sure, he looked like a panda with the ginormous BRUISE on his forehead and his eye, but he had stolen a bit of makeup out of Reese's bag when she wasn't looking don't tell her! so it didn't look AS horrible as it had before. Plus, he could always just say he had gotten hit with a bludger or something. He could come off as a very talented, hard working Quidditch player--which he was. No one had to know he had been punched by a telescope and nearly gotten a concussion.

He walked to the Gryffindor table, finding the place remotely empty at the moment. Ahh well, that meant he could get a good seat! He was weirdly anxious to watch the sorting this year too...he was already planning on pouncing on the newbies and recruiting them for the house team. Was this what ALL Quidditch Captains felt like at the Start of Term feast? Hmmmm...he wondered.

He took a place on the bench and looked around. No sign of Reese, or that little pest Cam. He knew he had been trying to HELP him (or so he thought) but honestly, sometimes just butting out was fine enough.

Ella rushed to the Gryffindor table, eager to see all her friends from Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Express once again. She also looked around for new friends to make, and stared at the delicious-looking food appearing just merely as she glanced at the empty plates. She smiled. Magic was might. Her mouth lay ajar as her favorite chocolate chip pancaked swarmed into many golden plates. Mmmmm!

She flipped back her silvery brown hair out of her golden eyes (boy, was it irritating) and picked up her fork, ready to start eating.

Patroclus sat on the stool, his heart pounding like a pixies jumping on a drum, the sorting hat was slipped onto his head
"Hmmmmm lots of brains, but also a Strong personality....hint of fear, but who doesn't, got to be GRYFFINDOR"
Patroclus, breathed a deep sigh of relief- maybe his Griffin Hair wand had been a prophecy of what was to come.
He jumped of the stool, beaming with enthusiasm and already planning to seek out the Qudditch Captain, he made his way over to gold and scarlet talbe that was the Gryffindor House Table.

Ahh, the sorting had started! Twirling his fork in his hand and smiling politely at his fellow housemates as they took seats around him, he looked up and watched as the first new Gryffindor of the term joined them. He clapped with the rest of the students and watched the boy sit down. "Congrats mate!" he said with a grin.

And now was the time to start recruitment. "Jack Fritzera, Quidditch Captain," he introduced himself, holding out a hand for the young boy to shake. This talking to new people thing was getting REALLY easy!

Chris Potter walked down the long space between the Gryffindor and other House tables until he reached the familiar face of Jack Fritzera. "Did I hear someone say Quidditch Captain?" he asked jokingly. He smiled and clapped his friend on the back. "Hey Jack! How are you? Have a good summer?" he smiled and sat down next to him. "So I'm not going to bother you about it now, so just let me know when Try-outs are ok? I plan on trying out for real this time instead of just being a back-up." he said taking a drink from his goblet.

Chris then noticed the small boy that Jack was talking to. He must be a new Gryffindor. He grinned his winning smile and stuck out his hand to the youngster. "Hello there! Welcome to Gryffindor! Im the male Prefect, Chris Potter." he finished.

Sliding onto the bench, Patroclus was gripped by fear - fear that like the on the Train he would find no one to talk, but Instantly the fear evaporated as, a tall young man, extended his hand - And better yet it was the Quidittch Captain!!!

"Wow." said Patroclus a little star struck, " Thanks, I am so happy I got into this House, and meeting the Captain on the first day what a bonus!", He Laughed.

The Perfect and the Qudditch Captain, at the same time - Patroclus was going into star struck overload, He Laughed and introduced himself to both of the gentleman,
"Hello my name is Patroclus Hudson, nice to meet you both!

Chris chuckled as the boy laughed and introduced himself. "Well it's good to meet you Patroclus, I hope you are up for helping Gryffindor when the House Cup this term?" he asked excitedly. "Ravenclaw has won it the past two terms and I say it's about time for a Lion victory!" he nodded and grinned.

Rafe walked over slowly and joined his fellow Gryffindors. He slouched in his seat. This wasn't exactly the house he wanted, what he had his heart set on. He thought Slytherin would be ideal.

He did recognize a familiar face (Chris). It was the Quidditch bloke he met in the courtyard. Well, it can't be that bad if he's in Gryffindor. Rafe waved a little in his direction and smiled widely.

In the end, he was happy and relieved to finally be at Hogwarts! It was going to be the best years of his life!

Chris looked up from Jack and the new first year when he saw someone he knew from the other day. "Rafe?" he said outloud. He thne beckoned him to come sit across from him.

Em was freaking out a bit when the professor called her up to the stool. She sat down and the sorting hat was placed on her head; it was a bit large for her and slipped over her eyes. All of a sudden, she heard a voice in her head..
Hmmm... Lots of courage I see, and brains too. Not a bad mind either, and a knack for trouble... Only one place to put you... GRyFFINDOR the hat yelled at the full Great Hall.
Em took off the hat, and made her way to the Gryffindor table where many were clapping...

stan lanevski 09-14-2009 11:59 PM

Here we are once more. In the Great Hall. At the Gryffindor table. Chris looked over the table seeing Chris Potter and Jack. There were other people he didn't know. He took a seat and looked around the Great Hall. He looked at the Slytherin Table and didn't know why at first. Scanning through he found who he was looking for. Helena Crawley, yet looked away. He didn't know what he was going to do about that fight thing they had.

"You bet i will" he proclaimed excitedly.
"And i was wondering Mr Fritzera, Quidditch Catpain, Sir if us First Years are able to tryout for Qudditch, as I would really love to be on our house team??" turning to Jack.
Patroclus hoped he was not coming off to over eager, he just loved this place so much already

Fira 09-15-2009 12:11 AM

Proud and happy to be a Gryffindor. He walked to the table with a huge smirk on his face. Yeah, that was all, he was in Gryffindor! Where he truly belongs, he could feel it. Just before sitting down he smiled some at the other students and shouted cheerfully ''Josh's cooomeee!'' taking his seat. As he did the sad truth that Rose was sorted into Slytherin hit him making his smile dissappear. He remembered her telling that she'd be in Slytherin but he had had hope for the otherwise. Howevet being in different houses did not mean not to seeing each other. Remembering this little detail his cheerful mood came back and he looked around for somebody to have a conversation.

Lissy Longbottom 09-15-2009 12:15 AM

Chris and Patroclus

Jack looked up as Chris, Gryffindor Prefect, came over and sat down near him. He grinned, glad that one of the male friends he had had finally tracked him down. The only dude he had seen all day was Cam and...yeah. That just led to the bruise on his face.

"Hey Chris! Yeah, my summer was pretty good...went to Italy with my siblings," he said with a smile. "How was yours? And yeah, I'm gonna get the word out about tryouts this year, believe me!" he said with a chuckle. They needed a stronger team than last year for certain!

"Nice to meet you Patroclus," he said with another grin. Wow, eager for Quidditch already! That was always good. "First years have just as much of a chance of making the team as anyone else," he explained with a small chuckle. "You can sign up as soon as the tryout sheet is posted near the pitch," he explained.

Gryffindor was certainly a different house as far as LouAnn's family was concerned. With a Ravenclaw father and a Slytherin mother, she found it sort of unusual---although unique---that she'd ended up in Gryffindor. Now all the family needed was for Lucas to end up in Hufflepuff, and they'd all have gone in separate directions. Once the sorting hat had placed her and she'd stepped away from that stool, LouAnn turned and headed towards her house table, anxious to finally meet her fellow Lions and hopefully make a few new friends while she was at it.

At least her nerves were starting to calm down. She could tell that the uneasiness that'd previously taken over her body was easing away little by little. She sat down at the table just to the left of a girl she had yet to meet, then glanced around at the people surrounding her. These were the people who'd be her housemates for at least another two years, hopefully longer, though, if LouAnn's begging and pleading ended up working. Everyone seemed to be deep in conversation, so she simply sat back and took in more of her surroundings while she waited for a break in someone's chat.

Chris smiled back at the clearly happy to see him Jack. "Hey man! Its good to see you too." He looked at Jack's face for a second and then chuckled. "Jack, what's that bruise on your face from?"

"Italy?! Wow that must have been fun. I haven't been there yet. I went to the the coast for a few weeks and other than that just hung around at home and Diagon Alley." Chris listened as Jack talked about getting the word out about try-outs early. "Sweet! I can't wait to try-out. Hopefully I will make it." he grinned.

You're in Gryffindor?!" he said excitedly holding his hand up for a high five. He pretty much invited her to his and Jack's conversation.

"Awesome!" He smiled already setting up moves in his head!, "Thanks, well I will let you get on with your friends, you don't want to be be seen with an uncool first year," Patroclus laughed.

LouAnn's eyes scanned the Great Hall, and she took in all the action going on around her. There were still a few students getting sorted, and LouAnn found herself happy that the sorting part of her first day at Hogwarts was over. It felt good to finally belong somewhere and to finally feel as it she had a group of people to call her own. Of course this didn't mean she couldn't befriend the students in one of the other three houses, though. Woodson, for example...wonder where he and Sebastian ended up?

Just as she questioned that, she heard someone call out her name, and she turned to see a boy she'd met in the streets of Diagon Alley over the summer. She thought about his name for a moment, then smiled and said, "Chris, right? Yup, I'm a Gryffindor, apparently. It's good to see that we're in the same house!" She returned his high five, then turned towards the girl she'd sat down next to. "Nice to meet you, Em. I'm LouAnn Purple, a fifth year," she told her. "What year are you in?"

Lissy Longbottom 09-15-2009 12:43 AM

Patroclus, Chris and BESTIEEE!

Jack frowned and felt his cheeks heat up. "Oh, this?" he asked. Abandoning his original plan to lie and say it was a bludger, he felt it better to just go with the truth. Sigh. "Ummm, Cam Karsten seems to be under the impression that Reese Upstead has given me a love potion," he groaned. Merlin help that psychotic child. "And he thought if he gave me a punching telescope, he'd knock the effects out of me," he grumbled.

"No matter though, I'll get some bruise remover from my bro before he heads down to his common room," he explained. Merlin knew that Justin Fritzera had caused his fair share of relationship drama in the past...and endured a few fists to the face in the process. Not cooooool.

He looked up at the girl that Chris had greeted--LouAnn, she was called--and wrinkled his eyebrows. She looked familiar...had he seen her before? He was sure he had, and then yet again, he had just seen her get sorted. "Hi, I'm Jack," he said with a smile as Chris called her over. He tapped his chin before asking the question burning on his mind. "Erm...have we met before?" he asked.

He laughed as Patroclus said he was going to leave. "Nonsense! We're all Gryffindors here and you're certainly not uncool," he assured the dude with another grin. No Quidditch player could EVER be uncool. Except himself that was. But he was new, confident Jack! So the uncool phase was like...done.

Finally, she was off the stuffy train and out with mildly civilized people. Not that Daphne Hopton considered the few people she socialized with while on the train uncivil it was simply--how to put it--a rather uncomfortable ride. Some people, particularly of the male kind, were horrible conversationalists. Perhaps they needed to open up a little more.

Take a clue or two from someone else--say herself. Yes? That seemed the appropriate route for some people to take.

Heaving a sigh, Daphne twirled a strand of golden hair around one small finger. It wasn't that she didn't recognize anyone at the table it was just--very well, she didn't recognize most of them. Last term there had been a mess of both Slytherin and Gryffindors in one tower and it was all she could do to focus to tell the Houses apart. Memorizing faces and putting names to them was clearly optional.

Clearly.

So said the boy with a black and blue eye. Snorting derisively in his direction, Daphne pretended to dust off dirt from her shoulders.

"He may not be, but I'm sure someone is," she replied lightly turning her sparkling eyes towards a girl she recognized. Oh. They had met in Diagon Alley. "LouAnn? You're in Gryffindor, then? That's interesting."

For some reason, Daphne Hopton had her read out as a Ravenclaw girl.

Legend had surprisingly entered the Great Hall AND taken a seat without being noticed. It was a first. Yawning the new second year was already falling asleep. Was sorting this boring last year? Nah. Probably because he was sorted. As soon as the ickle firsties were done he began to clap. Not because it was interesting. Just because it was OVER. Looking around the table Legend remembered some people from last year. Jack. Chris. Some....other girls who really weren't important because they were girls. "This year....seems so exciting already." He muttered sarcastically.
