With her mouth half full of food, Shaylee smiled and said, Not at all. Im completely full. She swallowed and said, Why thank you. I sure hope i am.

" OK Shsylee, glad you are full" Jason said to her. " I like girls with good appetites" Jason told Shaylee.

Rafe took a seat kind of to himself. He just needed to think things over. He wanted to believe it was all a dream. But, how could it be a dream when it felt so real. Lucy was a nice girl and all, but he really thought of her as a close friend. Rafe piled his plate with a large amount of food. Hopefully food would help him with his headache.

Kat walked to the Gryffindor Table hungrily. Being angry sure made her hungry. Since she was still upset she took a seat far from the others at the table and started loading her plate with food.

"Hey Kat," Rafe called rather gloomily. She didn't look too happy herself. Surely she wouldn't have been involved with what Rafe concluded (if it actually happened) that he was under the influence of a love potion.

Marilyn entered the Great Hall, her eyes falling on Rafe immediately. He'd sent her an owl saying he needed to talk to someone. And if Rafe needed her, she'd drop everything to be there.

She approached the table quietly, noticing how unlike himself he seemed. Sitting on the bench right beside her clearly upset friend, Marilyn frowned. If this had anything to do with that girl...

"Hey, Gryffindor." She teased, trying to coax a smile.

"Oh hey Marilyn!" Rafe tried to sound as cheerful as possible, but that really didn't reflect his mood. He thought he should at least start out with formalities. "So, how have you been?"

"I've been better..." Marilyn sighed in frustration, thinking about Jack. Thank the gods she'd had enough sense to lure that fight to a more private place.

Forcing a smile, she fired the question back. "How've you been?"

"Well, if there's anything I can do, I'll be there for you...if there's some guy that needs hexing, then I'll definitely be there!" Rafe said with a small chuckle.

"As for me well...was I acting weird at all, I'm trying to figure out if I was dreaming or not?" Rafe didn't know if that entirely made sense.

"Oh, you sweet boy...But I think if anyone needs to be hexed, we'll just leave that to the Slytherin, yea?" Marilyn knew he'd be there for her...that's what good friends do...but he obviously had his own drama to worry about...

The whole walk to the Great Hall had Marilyn thinking about the Quidditch event. Something hadn't been right...and she had a feeling that stupid slag was behind it. She had a feeling this was related in some way...Her eyes were glued to his face, feeling unsure about how to answer. Yea, he'd been acting weird. He was pronouncing love, for Merlin's sake.

"Rafe, how do you truly feel about Lucy? Do you love her?"

After receiving Rafe's note, Arianna hurried into the Gryffindor's table. She didn't even have a chance finish what she was doing, so her hands were full of magical ink, and her hair tied in a messy not. she strolled between tables looking for Rafe and when she finally saw him she squeezed herself between him and the person next to him, not minding anything and sat.

"What's the matter Gryfffie?" she asked in a rush, stretching herself over him to reach a little basket of bread. She took a piece and nibbled on it.

Even though it was a bit of a serious situation, Marilyn snickered. The girl looked a mess. "Where's the fire?" This was obviously Arianna, Rafe's bestie she'd heard so much about.

Arianna, while waiting for Rafe, looked to the girl speaking, she tilted her head at her. The fire? There didn't have to be a fire, not when Rafe called. She narrowed her brown eyes, behind her big glasses, at the girl. " No fire, just an emergency call... you are...?" she asked not very politely " I'm Arianna by the way" she added trying to compose it.

Marilyn was slightly awe'd by this girl's nerve. In response, she narrowed her eyes back...not missing the evaluation she was currently undergoing. "Oh, I know who you are, Arianna." Her voice was full of implication. She silently hoped her sarcasm wasn't lost on the girl. "My name is Marilyn, by the way."

"Nice to meet you then" she said noticing the latent sarcasm on her voice " So you know who I am, I suppose little Griffy here has mentioned me before.. was it?" she said sitting straight so that she could see them both, Marilyn and Rafe.

Alex was wandering around the Great hall. She was sorta hungry, but not really. Her eyes scanned over the Gryffindor table to see Arianna sitting there, not perfectly put together, but still looking good.

"Arianna!" Alex called as she glided over to her, sliding to a graceful halt not a foot from her. "How are you? And how did things go with the boy?" She asked smiling down at her, as she flipped her long white blonde hair over her shoulder.

Arianna's eyes fluttered away from Marilyn for a moment and fixed on the great blond shinny figure next to her. Alex. She smiled broadly and got up in a little jump. She wasn't perfect, but she felt glad to be wearing her high boots with a little heel, and her skinny jeans with a nice sweater. Just her hair...

"I'm doing fine!" she exclaimed going for a little hug. She adored Alex. " Everything worked out fine, he saw me! I mean, he actually saw me, he said I was cute!" she couldn't help but to giggle like a little girl.

Alex smiled widely as the little Slytherin girl jumped up and hugged her. She hugged her back and her eyes went wide at her words. " He did! Dear Merlin that is so amazing! I am so happy for you Arianna!! Are you two.. together?" She asked giggling with Arianna, she was even bouncing slightly.. "I am so glad that you are doing well!" She said smiling and laughing.

"I'm not sure.. he said he would invite me to Hogsmead, we talked for hours on the Courtyard the other day.." she blushed a little, but quickly recovered, grabbing Alex hands " It was all thanks to you, you're so amazing!!"

"Ohh well that is exciting all the same!" Alex said with a wide smile as she bounced around a bit. She was glad that she could help someone be happy, it helped her get her mind off her own unhappiness! "Aww well I had a great person to work with, the beauty was all there, I just made it come out!" Alex said with a smile as she twirled Arianna around.

"How is it going with your hair?" She asked noticing the messy bun..

A tiny little black bat appeared at the Gryffindor table. It is odd to see a bat carrying a little scroll, but it's owner didn't have an owl.



Having dropped it on Ari's head, the bat took off, back to his owner.

Arianna shrugged helplessly " I was in sort of a hurry, Rafe called me here, and he was acting really strange lately " she lowered her voice to a whisper " I think someone gave him a love potion" then returned to her normal tone " so I hurried here, I was writing a letter to Theo when I did so I had no chance to get myself together.." she looked like she had been busted, but there was a little smile on the corner of her lips.

Then a bat appeared:

Arianna shook her head when the bat dropped something on it, she took it and saw a little scroll. She opened it and saw a handwriting she had never seen before. She read the message, feeling the excitement growing inside of her with each line. She kept it to her chest with a huge grin. " It's Theo's!!!" she exclaimed giggling.

Alex laughed a little at Arianna's explanation, "Hey no worries! I can understand being there for your friends! Even I would go out looking like a tornado hit me, if my friends needed me!" She grinned and then watched as a bat flew over a dropped a note on Arianna's head.

Alex knew it had to be the boy by the smile on the Slytherin's face. "And what does he want?" She asked smiling widely. This was all so exciting!

"He wants to meet on the street so we can go together somewhere!" she exclaimed bouncing with excitement. This was all so new, and exciting and new and neeeeew! She had no idea how to behave in this kind of situations, but she knew one thing... she liiiiiiked Theo!!!

"Merlin, what should I wear?!?!" she snapped in panic.

Rafe was in such a state of shock that Marilyn asked him if he loved Lucy that he just seemed to fade out. He didn't even notice that Arianna had arrived and another blonde older student and that a letter fell on Ari's head.

"HOLD THE PRESSES!" Rafe shouted as he waved his hands in the air to get people's attention. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'Do I love her'?" His eyes were wide and all color left his face, he was sheet white.

"Oh hey Arianna and new girl," Rafe said quickly and then looked at Marilyn in complete horror. What on earth happened to him?
