Default Gobstones Club Championship: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin

Professor Shackleton gestured for the Gryffindor and Slytherin players to approach the Gobstones court. She handed a red drawstring bag to a member of the Gryffindor team and a green bag to the Slytherin team. Each contained the appropriately colored gobstones. She then opened the drawstring on a separate grey bag and levitated a single stone into the center of the court. She announced, "Welcome Lions and Snakes to the championship match-up! I expect that before we begin you will have all made yourself familiar with the rules. You now have your Gobstones, so let's get started!"

Gryffindor and Slytherin take their positions on opposite sides of the circle and release their gobstones into play. Both stones are rolling toward the Jack Stone at a comfortable pace and are slowing to a stop. Gryffindor's stone is just a hair closer than that of the Snakes, but it is still anyone's round to win!

Slytherin uses their second attempt to bump their first green stone closer to the Jack Stone. They are successful! Slytherin's gobstone is just a mere inch from the Jack stone!

Gryffindor rolls their stone into the circle in an attempt to knock the green stone away from the Jack stone. They miss just barely and their stone rolls away toward the perimeter of the circle. Slytherin remains closest and wins the point!

A green stone enters the freshly emptied circle and slides to a halt three inches from the Jack Stone. Not a bad position to be in, but certainly room to move in closer for either house team.

Slytherin rolls a second gobstone into the circle with a bit more force than the last. It's heading straight for the Jack stone! It bumps into the jack stone and bounces back ever so slightly, leaving Slytherin's stone closest to the Jack Stone. Snakes win the round!

The Snakes clearly want a victory here today! They are consistently placing their gobstones very near the Jack Stone, nearer than the Lions thus far. Gryffindor needs to get in the game if they want to win the championship!

True or False: You can only cast the Unforgiveable curses with your own wand because it requires the strongest possible connection with a wand in order to be successful.

Kiri Starstalker is well on the way to becoming the MVP of this match! A perfectly lined up gobstone soars into play and finishes just a half inch to the left of the Jack Stone, closer than any of the red stones. Snakes win another round!

Divination by means of a suspended ring. The ring is hung over a person or some other object and the motion of its swing is taken note.

Slytherin and Gryffindor face off on opposite sides of the circle. Lions toss their stone into the circle with a bit less force than desired, but still pretty good accuracy. Slytherin uses a bit more force and equal accuracy, edging out Gryffindor's red stone and putting themselves closer to the Jack Stone.

The Snakes slither their green stone into play once more, nudging the Gryffindor's red stone out of play and leaving theirs behind. Slytherin wins the point and the round! They are one round away from a victory here today!
