Song leant against the door of an empty compartment and shunted it aside, revealing a thin gap in which she squeezed herself, the arm-load of books she was carrying and an owl cage, which lay empty except a for a few colbalt blue feathers that dotted the floor. She hadn't seen her owl since the train had left, and now, as she stood in the centre of the lonely compartment, looking completely out of place; her dark hair tied up in low, messy plaits and her black rimmed glasses crooked on the bridge of nose, she highly wished that her owl would return. As if it had read her thoughts, a small black head poked itself out of her pocket and mewed cautiously, curious of the new place to where it had been brought. Smiling gratefully down at the kitten, glad that Quinto had not yet deserted her, she gently picked him out of her pocket and placed him on the pile of books which now sat, neatly stacked, on the far end of the seat by the window. She then sat down beside him, gazing wistfully out at the scenery, which flashed past in a mix of green, golds and oranges. The countryside... She had never seen such a beautiful sight. And yet, even the tranquility of what lay before could not sooth the nerves in the pit of her stomach. They ate away at her, inside and out. Only the kitten lazing next to her kept her from jumping off the train and running home. Quinto meowed again, his mouth opening wide in a weary yawn, before closing with a numb snap as his teeth came together. It reminded her of why she was going to Hogwarts in the first place: to learn. Knowledge meant a lot to her; it was the only friend she had. Well, she had met that Keeley girl in the Leaky Cauldron yesterday, but she wasn't sure if she was a friend or not. They'd only had a light conversation, most of it drizzled in awkwardness, but that was mainly Song's fault: her nerves and anxiousness were a pain in the... She sighed and grabbed a book which lay beside her. Bound in magnificent red leather with the words The Basics of Cloth Sewing inscribed in gold lettered on the front, it was beautiful to behold. Stifling a dark grin, she wondered what her father would say if he found out that there was actually a comic book hidden in the pages. Leaning back in her seat, she began to read, with the words cloth and basic no where in sight. |

The second year Slytherin decided to sit on the couch so she placed her luggage on the floor near her feet. She sat down with a plof and lay on the couch as if it was her bed. Stifling a yawn with her left hand that had escaped her mouth, Lyra stared at the ceiling of the train and let out a deep sigh. This was going to be her second year at Hogwarts. Last year had been very eventful with all the things that had happened. Floods, merpeople, grindylows, the special assymble with the werewolf.....talking about werewolves.....Lyra, who was still lying down so she had to turn her head awkwardly so that she saw a guy enter the apartment with flyers in his hand upside down. Wondering what he wanted she noticed that he placed a flyer on the wall and had left again. Intrigued, Lyra stood up from her bench and stared at the flyer and after reading it she sat down on the couch again, this time not lying down but she still placed her legs on the couch . "I'm ok" Lyra said when she heard Evan's question. " it was a little bit hectic when i tried to leave , my parents kept calling me back to hug me. They were afraid at first to bring me back , after what had happend last year and such.." she sighed loudly and shook her head. "How about you? you ok?" Lyra asked as she had grabbed her wand and started to twirl it around her fingers, dropping it a few times. But hey, practise makes perfect. "by the way, what you think about that" she asked as her wand had dropped again and she bed down to pick it up and at the same time she pointed at the flyer. |

Waz looked in every compartment. He saw Alex and grinned. As he slid the door, he checked his hair and posed. 'Hey Alex! i found you at last' he said. He loved Alex to bits and was so glad to she her again. He sat down next to her and asked. ' Looking forward to going back? ' |

"There, now you don't look perfect,," She said with a giggle.. |

He felt a little better when Jake mentioned about his vacation with the Hogwarts teachers, how cool is that? "Are the teachers at Hogwarts really friendly?" He tried to sound a little more happier but he was still fretting over the whole werewolf thing in his head, "Umm Jake, I've heard a lot about Hogwarts, do strange things happen there often? It's not like I am scared but I just want to know so I can keep an eye out for anything dangerous." Man his hyper-ness had vanished somewhere, he need candy...liaaaak right now. |
Mysic woke up from her nap. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She put on her glasses. There was still no one in her compartment. |
Walking out of her compartment,Practically re-tracing her steps she stopped.Deciding it'd be best to take her trunk with her incase she found someone to talk to. Walking past the compartments she just had but more slowly this time kicking her trunk and craddling her pygmy puffs in her arms.Duude.Why did she bring so much stuffs ? |
Evelyn dragged her belongings roughly onto the back of the train, her face set into an angry frown. She had been arguing with her parents the whole way here. Apparently, they found out that she had been hanging with a Gryffindor the other day and weren't too pleased. Plus adding that she took the slip from her mother in diagon alley, it wasn't the best of morning for her. 'Why can't they be normal and not so...old fashioned Slytherin.' she thought, making her frown even more. Finally, after walking at what seemed like forever down the train, she found one of the few compartments that were empty. "At least something went right." she muttered, opening the door and dropped her stuff on the ground, not really caring for it at the moment, and sat on the bench char. They were comfy she noticed, leaning her head back, and closing her eyes. |

EMPTY BIRD CAGE!??!?!?! "AVERY!!!" He called. Then, he remembered that he was going to let her fly half the journey. He looked around to see if anyone was looking at his foolishness. Aaron continued down te train looking for an empty compartment, until he got to the back where he saw Iris being pinned by a trunk. "Iris!" he yelled dropping his stuff. He fumbled trying to get his wand. he hadn't used it all summer. He pointed it at the trunk, but already saw that it was floating. "oh," he said softly putting his wand away. He then picked up his stuff and followed her into the compartment. "You all right there, stranger?" he said smiling while Iris was still walking in. |
Anna dragged Akihiko to an empty compartment in the back. She twirled as she walked through the door and put her suitcase away. Then she sat by the window and smiled at her best friend. "This is exciting. Being on my own again except this time I on't be alone, right Aki-kun?" |

Blake who was still wondering which was more sadder, werewolves or Jake's story, gleamed with happiness when he thought he saw Shana walk past their compy, shorter version of compartment, hehe. "Oh Jake, excuse me for a minute, I'll be right back." He said, getting up and slid the door open. Peeking outside, Blake couldn't see Shana, oh bummer maybe it was someone else, sigh. But wait, his eyes fell own a red-head, a very familiar red-head, "SHANA!!!!!!!" He screamed coming out of his compy and dashing his way towards her pushing the other students aside. He greeted her with a HUGE grin and instantly pulled her into a hug, "I evilly missed you a lot." He said, cupping her face into his hands. "You're going somewhere? Come sit with me, I mean me and Jake, I assume you know him? He looks your age." He grabbed her hand started to pull her. |
Feel free to read over the fliers or whatnot : ) The back of the train was now covered in the posters he had been putting up. Almost every compartment window hosted one, he had handed them out to several different people, laid some on tables and even on the floor. Some were even floating about in paper areoplane form. It would be very difficult not to notice them unless you were blind to parchment or couldn't read. He stuck one last parchment onto the last remaining empty pane of glass, satisfied with his distribution. Reaching into his backpack, he removed another bundle of fliers, this time they were different from the ones he had been splattering about the back of the train. Instead of sticking these new ones up, he moved himself into the middle carriages of the train. |

"My name is Sara Elizabeth Lyons," Sara laughed, she might as well start right at the beginning! " I am 11 years old, and I do not have any brothers or sisters...wish I did though, "thouight Sara, sadly to herself. "My parents are both muggles and they work as teachers in a high school for kids aged 13-18. Boring!!! "thought Sara, watching Andrew's eyes. "I have two small dogs... Stubby and Gizmo." Sara's eyes lite up. "They are little puffs of white fur. Man, did she ever miss her dogs!" Sara sighed. "Maybe she'd be lucky enogh to see them at Christmas break." 'So, I got my letter from Hogwart's a few weeks ago...my parents dropped me off in Diagon Alley last week... I met you, and that's it! Sara finished with a gasp. "Oh... and I'm a witch!" Sara grinned cheekily at Andrew. "... and what about you?" |

OOC: *Akihiko's eye color reflects his mood. The more blue or white it is, the kinder he is; the more purple or black (let's hope it never comes to that) the more angry and dangerous he is. I'll always let you know what color he is. But no matter what color it is he will always be somewhat the same around his friends. |

Iris walked into the empty compartment near them. She put luna's basket on the seat near the door and, with some difficulty, her trunk in one of the over head shelve things. She sat herself down next to Luna's basket, leaving an empty space on her other side. She then looked at Aaron again. He looked different. And she had only seen him a few days ago ... Iris blushed as she remembered the events of the last time they met ... Evan, Fallon, the Little First Year, Aaron, Her .... They were pretending to be going out with each other. Iris smiled, trying to hide the pale crimson colour, "I'm alright ... Are you?" As she looked at Aaron curiously, just studying his features, she began to wonder where Fallon was. She hadn't seen her since she left for the Ice Cream Place .... |

Daisy plopped herself into a seat near the door and on the same side as Mariel. Houdini (in his cage) was placed on the seat next to her and up and out of the eyesight of the two owls on the floor. There was no good that could come out of tempting the owls with a mid-train snack was there? Daisy reached out and took the paper from Sarah looking it over. “Oh this,” she said with a tone that implied a bit of disconcert. “I wasn’t there when this all happened, but I don’t know what the problem is. It wasn’t like Professor Lupa did it on purpose,” she paused. “Did she?” |

''Here i come, Hogwarts!'' That was what he uttered as he first stepped in to the scarlet train. As he walked into the crowded coridor the last picture of his parents was still on his mind. The sad but proud expression on his mother's face and the airy and awed expression of his muggle father. Josh smiled to himself as he remembered him asking about the platform 9 3/4, in addtion to being a muggle, being a police officer who knows the city quite well, he was double shocked with the existance of the platform. While his wife tried to stop him, he nearly interrogate every witch and wizard there. They were quite funny. Joshua had always found his father rather cool. Feeling the weight of his heavy trunk and owl cage, he memories moved out of his mind leaving its place to the importance of finding a compartment. Choosing the closest one he walked there and just before stepping inside he read the poster about werewolf. ''Wicked!'' he murmured grinning. There were a few people in the compantment. Normally he would gave all of them a really big 'Hello' but this time his mind was too busy with eating the whole box of the strawberry flavoured chocolate his father gave him as soon as possible. So he nearly threw his trunk and owl's cage (the bird squaked angrily) and opened his little bakcpack to look for the chocolate box. |

Only when he saw the two others in the compartment did he realize he was not alone. He blushed, red as a tomato, from head to foot and sat down with a thump in his seat, hands clasped together. "Um…hi," he whispered, glancing up quickly before his eyes darted away again. "Sorry if I bothered you." He hoped they didn't think he was too clumsy. |

For anyone who would like to play. :P Finally. Time to settle in on the Hogwarts Express. Walking down the corridor in the back section of the train, looking for an empty compartment while dragging her trunk with one hand and carrying a basket containing her pygmy puffs in the other, it wasn't exactly like Adrienne had thought the time was never going to come or anything, and she had to admit she wasn't really getting away from anything at school. Since Riley was still going to be there and all. But, even with the fun she'd had in Diagon Alley, she had wanted to get here. Just to make sure there was still going to be a Hogwarts. She had decided against wearing house colors that day, even though she had to admit to herself she owned several blue items of clothing. But she wasn't actually at Hogwarts yet, so she had some leeway. Instead, she was wearing a black shirt over dark gray skinny jeans, tucked into her favorite pair of boots. The dark colors oddly blended with her hair, which was down and wavy, and contrasted with Rochester. Her snowy owl, simply because there was nowhere else for him to be, was perched on her shoulder, surveying the students milling around the corridors regally. As far as he was concerned, as long as nobody collided with his mistress, they could do whatever they liked. Of course, Adrienne wasn't about to let him do anything anyway, but she also knew her owl chose to ignore that fact for now. SPOILER!!: flyer xD She had seen quite a few of the flyers around her, choosing to ignore most of them until, about halfway down the corridor, she had simply needed to rest her arms. Dropping the trunk on the floor with a thump, she turned to scan one of the flyers, which conveniently was stuck to the wall nearby. Not that it wouldn't have been hard to find one anyway, seeing as they were practically covering every square inch of the corridor, including midair. As she reached the end of the message, Adrienne rolled her eyes. "Really? People are actually going to be like this?," she asked incredulously to nobody in particular. She knew the Ministry was aware of the headmaster and Professor Lupa's conditions. If she had heard right, practically all the professors had been called in for interviews about that assembly last term. So if they hadn't seen fit to close Hogwarts, or get rid of the two staff members, she didn't see any reason to be so up in arms. Granted, she was going to be more careful, especially around those two, but that was about it for her precautionary measures. She didn't see reason to be so dramatic. |
