Sarah walked up to the owlery and handed Troy some owl knuts...he hooted loudly and pecked her finger affectionately. Sarah stroked his head and waved goodbye... |
Barry brought his telescope and a couple of worms he had dug up for his owl. He gave it to him and let him eat. He meanwhile got out his telescope and looked up to the sky. He quickly sketched a drawing and left. |
Damian entered the Owlery the went to a plce where aren't alot of Owls. He set up his telescope and start for the fourth time drawing for about 35 Minutes. After he had finshed he packed his stuff away and visist his owl Anubis for 10 Minutes. He gave him Pellets and crawled him. Then he went to the student gardens for his fifth Picture. |
Jillian walked up to the Owlery. Strange, she hasn't been here before, although that might have something to do with the fact that she didn't have an owl. She did have Astronomy homework though, and in order to draw the sky in a more interesting perspective, why not go to where flying creatures dwell? There were a lot of different owls there, some taking off, some just landing, some perched on cages and wherever. "Hello there, owlies!" she greeted as she began setting up her telescope. "Nice day, eh?" The sun was high above the trees, but that was probably because she too was on a level higher than the trees. She began her sketch, drawing the sun first, then the clouds. As Jillian went on sketching some of the owls decided to circle the tower, flying in and out of view of the telescope. Jillian drew the owls as they swooped from here to there. After she finished, she took her telescope and waved goodbye to the hooting owls. |
As darkness fell, Keefer could be see trudging up the stairwell, lugging a telescope with him. He proceeded to set up his equipment and organize his notes. Lastly, he reached in his bag and grabbed a sheet of parchment, a well-used quill, and his inkwell. He gazed into the telescope, making several mental notes and storing them in the strange system of filing cabinets that was his brain. Sketching carefully, he began to whistle a whimsical tune he made up as he went along. Checking the telescope frequently, he continued work on his Astronomy homework. Occasionally he looked up from his work long enough to chat with an owl. He knew they could understand him. They were the most curious birds in the world in his opinion. After some time, he finished humming The Marriage of Figaro, sighed, and examined his handy work. "That will do for now, I think. What do you think, Charles?" he said, directing the question to the barn owl eyeing him. Receiving a doleful hoot in reply, he took that to mean yes. He packed up his possessions and skipped down the stairs back to the common room. |
Cale hurried up to the Owlery, telescope in hand. This was the tallest place he could think of other than the astronomy tower, but that would be such an obvious place to view the sky. Scurrying over to the nearest window and sidestepping all the mess on the floor, he opened his telescope and looked out into the sky. Pencil in hand, he very skillfully tried to sketch the sky while still holding his telescope at hand. From this window, he could see the moon pretty clearly, and the stars seemed brighter up here than in other places. Probably cause he was higher up and closer to the sky. There was a lone cloud covering the bottom of the Big Dipper, so he added that as well. Once he was satisfied with his drawing, he closed his telescope and hurried back down the stairs and out of sight. |
Amelia sank to the floor in the Owlery, after watching Artemis fly off with her letter. She didn't want to leave, as she was still bent up about her letter and wasn't looking forward to akward questions. A little owl was hopping around, hooting on the ground. It was a school owl, she could tell. It's little black feathers stood up. It was quite funny looking. Amelia watched it for a little more, and called for it. "Come here, little guy. I won't hurt you." It seemed to trust her, and came over. She stroked it, trying to make all the feathers go down. She then put her head back on the wall, closing her eyes, with the little bird still in her hand. |
She watched the owl fly away, and turned to see Amelia sitting on the floor of the Owlery with a small owl in her hand. She walked over slowly, and sat down next to her friend. "Hey, love. How're you? Sleep okay the other night?" she said, watching owls swoop in and out of the room. |
Amelia heard Amanda's voice. She must have come to send that letter to her mum and Jen. Amanda still didn't know what had been in Kirra's letter...Amelia opened her eyes and put on a bright smile, knowing Amanda would see right through it. "Hey! I'm great! What about yourself?" |
Amelia smiled, but Amanda knew there was something off about it. She knew her smiles too well. "I'm good. What's going on? I know something's wrong. Don't you try to hide it, missy!" she said. All Amanda knew was that Amelia had gotten a letter from Kirra; she didn't know if that had anything to do with it, or maybe it was something she had done... |
Amelia took a deep breath, and put her head in her hands. "It just...you know, i kinda wanna move now. Can we go somewhere, for a walk? You choose." |
Amanda nodded. "Sure. How about down by the lake?" she suggested. |
"Right. Lets go" |
Twilight walked up the stairs with Eveningstar twittering and flying around her head. She sighed. She so hoped he would finally settle down and stay put. This was the fourth time she had to bring him back to the Owlery. No one minded him in the dorms but some animals were rather wary of him. She wished he would be a sweetheart that he was being so small and just make friends with the their owls, but the looks some of them tossed Eveningstar made her think he annoyed them as well with his nervous energy. |

Camira opened the door to the owlery, slightly out of breath. She really needed to work out more. As she took a step in, she wrinkled her nose a bit in disdain. It was dirty. And it smelled like owls. "Scourgify. Scourgify. Scourgify. Scourgify. Scourgify. Scourgify." There, much better. And the view looked pretty nice too. Hopefully they wouldn't get attacked while they were here. That would be horrible. She looked around curiously for her owl as she waited for him to set up. |
Dominic just followed Camira as she had mentioned the view from the Owlery. Truth be told, he didn't really mind too much because they only had the observatory for their indoor locations anyway. It was was probably best to get one from a different side of the castle anyway. "You sound-proofed the house!?" Dom raised a brow at her, shocked by this news. How could she of though, when last he checked, he didn't think she was of age? Unless she did it the muggle way, which he would have imagined would have taken forever. Oh well, not his problem though if she broke underage laws... it was her schooling on the line, not his. Snickering to himself as she scourgified the owlery, he couldn't help but find that amusing. Oh well. Time to set up the scope for their last sketching. Setting up with speed and precision, Dom didn't take much time at all. Once it was set up, he adjusted the viewfinder to be pointing towards the southwest, a direction he had yet to look yet. Focusing the telescope, he glanced through the scope and made mental note of the stars and more importantly a planet that was able to be seen!! That was a rare occurrence, but he was nearly positive that it was one. Drawing back from the scope he gave Camira a look to show he was finished and moved the scope towards her one-handedly, before setting back to sketch what he saw. As he finished up his sketch, he did has he did before and labeled the fifth (and final) drawing in the top corner of the page. Quote:
Packing his homework all together, he waited patiently for Camira to finish hers. One assignment done and now a bajillion more to go! |
Camira gave Dominic a look. It wasn't that big of a deal. "Yes, I did. It was an emergency situation. My sanity was at stake. Besides, I think the laws are different in the states", she said nonchalantly. She waited patiently as Dom did the final sketch, 5 million thoughts running through her brain. And yay, it was her turn. She stepped up the telescope and turned it a bit until she found an angle she liked. She drew her final sketch, taking a bit of time to give it extra detail, seeing as it was the last one and all. When she was done, she put it aside and took down her last set of notes. Quote:

Watching her finish up her last sketches, he leaned casually up against the balcony railing, watching her work mostly. For someone who didn't 'like' Astronomy, she worked quite efficiently with subject and he was impressed. Finally she was done and handed his scope back to him. Slipping it into his bag, he glanced back at her casually, noticing the way the setting sun made her shine blacker. It was kind of mesmerizing. Although something Dominic Denton would never admit. "Oh really, not a problem," he smiled weakly at her, shaking the thoughts from his mind. No, he couldn't be giving in. Not possible as he was DOMINIC. Dominic Denton. Anti-females. "Um yes, see you around," he replied back, slinging the bag over his shoulder as he led the way down from the Owlery. Best to get out of the blinding sunset. |

"Great. Um...good luck with the rest of your homework." Not that he needed it, but it was something to say. She watched his retreating figure and on a whim, decided to stay for a moment. She'd cleaned the place, after all. Maybe she could find that dreaded owl of hers. |
The Owlery was the next stop for Mariel's Astronomy sketches. Best to get all the indoor locations done first so she didn't have to backtrack and she thought the Owlery would be ideal for a good view. The place seemed cleaner than usual, she noticed, as she stepped inside. Immediately her black owl, Pandora, flew down to her, landing on a perch near her side. "Obedient one, aren't you?" she told her with a chuckle. "Sorry, nothing for you to deliver today." Rolling her eyes at the owl's subsequent indignant hooting, Mariel reached into her messenger bag and pulled out some owl trets, throwing them into the air for Pandora to catch. As she watched the owl fly back to her own perch, the young Ravenclaw pulled the telescope out of her bag and set it up near one of the open windows. After a few minutes of adjusting the controls to get a satisfactory image, she again pulled out her drawing materials and sketched her view, carefully labelling the parchment when finished. She then quickly packed her things up and set off again as she still had a few more stops to make. |
Set walked into the owlery. He brought Felix a treat he bought the other day. He fed the trat to Felix nad began to pet him. He thought about how his past was haunting him. He hoped it didn't come back and ruin all his fun at Hoqwartz. |
Livvy walked into the Owlery with Barry. Aw.. finally.. they were alone. Now... time for some interrogating. Well.. kinda.. "Okay, boy... spill," she said, grinning. She walked towards her owl, Flymm, and nudged her affectionately. |
Barry walked into the owlery and looked at Livvy "I don`t have to " he said and then he watched his owl fly down "But I will" he said annoyed. "Well uh you know Celadine Toussaint, you know Cela, well I`ve known her for about a year and a half ago and at first she was a freind and thats all she was. I was only 13. But you know as time went along, I started developing feelings towards her and well I`m stuck because of Plymouth" he said confessing to Livvy but throwing a glance towards the door just in case "What do I do?" he pleaded the girl. |
Livvy crossed her arms waiting. You know you want to, she thought and her expression showed it. Ha! Knew it. The boy needed to consult with someone. She nodded as she listened to Barry talk. Her eyes widened just slightly. She was right! Partly. Livvy had figured that he had a soft spot for Cela.. but she didn't know if she had been correct. Guess she was. Man.. she just hated it whenever she was right. "I see... so you like Cela.. but she's going out with Plymouth. Well.. have you told her yet?" |
