The morning after the feast Pandora decide to go visit her black owl Anubis! She take some treats! Anubis will be happy, I hope she likes Hogwarts so far... |
Alexis jumped up the Owlery steps two at a time. She wasn't in a rush. And she didn't have anything important to do. She was just super super hyper. And what better way to get rid of her energy then running up and down Hogwarts? Reaching the last step Lex looked around, it was pretty empty up here, only owls, some birds, and their poop. Most of the owls were asleep, which made perfect sense since it was still pretty early. Skipping around Lex began to look for a small birdy. That wasn't what she had come up here for but why not say hi to Bubbles while she was in here? |
Shuffling up the steps, careful to not lose her balance or trip, her hands remained at her sides rather than in her cloak pockets for easy use of catching the ground before it could catch her, just incase. There was no way Savannah could match the Gryffindors speed, not this early in the morning and probably not without an extra boost of energy. Reaching the top, the seventh year lifted her head and brushed the dark strands of her down hair that had fallen forward. Her gaze moving towards the sky, admiring the peacefulness. It wasn't cold, not even chilly enough to wear a cloak but this badger had a slight cold. "Aren't you the least bit tired from running the entire way?" She asked, ocean blue eyes coming to rest on her blonde friend. |
Turning around to face the Hufflepuff, Alexis gave her a funny look. "You're joking right?" She couldn't even think of not running at this point. The only thing she could think of is going outside and running around the lake. That would be fun. "My dad says I could be a track star." Lex said happily. However she doubted that she could run in a straight line...she did like crashing into people. Alexis put her arms behind her back and began to walk in a circle. "Are you tired? Why weren't yo on the train? You sound funny." The Gryffindor said all at once, the words flowing out of her mouth. "If you're tired you should run down to the kitchen and get me some candy from the evil house elves." |
Was she joking? Not at all. Well, maybe a little. The question wasn't meant as seriously as it came out, how long had she known Alexis? The girl had turned into the fastest land animal two terms ago, how could that really surprise her. She chuckled at this piece of news, "I would agree, but you'd probably get distracted easily or lose interest." "A little." She admitted with a shrug of her shoulders, leaning her back against the doorway of the owlery room as she watched the Lion's Captain disturb the many, mostily sleeping varity of owls belonging to both the school and it's students. "I was on the train, with Dusty, Joseph and his friend Tonya. I was tired and fell asleep, the medicine Emmy gave me that morning made me groggy; I'm a little sick," Savannah explained calmly, the level of her voice going down a notch hoping to sound more 'normal'. Eyebrows raised, it was the Hufflepuff's turn to make a funny face. "Do tell, how would walking all the way back down to the kitchens to get you candy help me?" |
Still walking around in the circle Alexis didn't notice some of the bird's annoyed glances. She wondered closer to where a large Barn Owl sat eying her and flapping it's wings. Oblivious to the Barn Owl, Alexis turned back to Savannah."Yeah probablyyyyy. Do you think there are jobs for people like that? So I would get paid? For being me? Then I could like runnn around and around and around and around and get money! And make candy. And eat candy. And give you money. And get a dog trainer. And eat more candy!" Lex said her words getting more mushed together by the second. As it always did when ever she was excited about something, or hyper...or just going insane. Alexis snorted and shook her head as she walked. Joey's friend Tonya. Who was this Tonya anyways? Did she like candy? Maybe she could use her for another tester?! WAIT!!! What if SHE was the one who got Vannah sick?! "Why'd Tonya get you sick!?" Lex asked loudly upsetting the large Barn Owl. Screeching the owl took off out of the Owlery. "Oops." She said with a shrug. Alexis thought for a moment. She needed a good answer that would amuse Savannah enough to get her candy. "Beccccaauuuse then I'll be your bestest friend? And having a bestest friend is good for you." |
Out of everything Alexis just said, the thing that stood out most - CORRECTION, stuck out like an apple in a pear tree, a wizard in robes amongst a group of muggles, a cat in a dogs house was two words: Dog Trainer. "Lexi," Savannah spoke gently, this not quite different from how she was talking before but jokingly she forced fake sympathy into it. "There is no one, not you, not I, not Professor Clark, Professor Maline, not even big scary grizz, ballerina boy or monkey boy himself could train TK." Face it. Training that dog was a losing battle. If they were being truthful, he had them trained. Her eyes grew, the brunette was quick to move out of the way of the angered owl's exit; One owl attack was good for a life time, Vivek had already taken that slot by knocking her into the lake. "Tonya didn't get me sick, I was sick before I met her." Savannah said, shaking her head at the 'oops'. They were already 'bestest friends' as Alexis put it, and there was NO WAY this girl needed anymore sugar, but Savannah knew pointing this out would be a waste of time. She considered it instead, saying slowly "If you're willing to wait in the corridor, I'll get you candy." |
Alexis had to agree. Savannah was right. TK was untrainable, and that was the way it was meant to be. He had never been a normal dog which was just fine with her because normal wasn't really exciting. However.... "But what if he knows this? What if the only reason he's not trained is because he knows that as soon as we start we're gonna give up because he was being difficult and then he'll have us wrapped around his paw. And then sooner or later he'll take over the world. And make me have to give all my candy to him. And then he'll train US to do tricks?!" Alexis excalimed. The more she thought about it the more it made sense. TK was an evil dog trying to take over the world!! Owl's around this place were way too self absorbed, she hadn't even done anything to bother it! Alexis shook her head back at Savannah. "Yeah okay suuure! You'd think there would be some magical way to get rid of the cold..." Alexis grinned. YAAAAY her idea had worked. Running over to Savannah she gave her a tight hug. "YAAAY YAY THANK YOU!!! GO now okay???? Noow. Noww! I'll go in the corridor you go now!!" With that the Gryffindor began to run back toward the entrance of the Owlery. |
TK.. taking over the world, and being corrupted with power. "You were watching muggle movies this summer, weren't you?" Savannah guessed, eying her carefully. Not that Alexis needed something to give her funny ideas, her mind was an incredibly imaginative one. Much like a five year olds. Adding the constant need of candy to that, one could see Lexi never really grew up. But really, for those who knew her as well as Vannah, the lion was just being the child she never got to be when she was little. Alexis sure was bothering the owls, Savannah noticed the too many pairs of eyes on them. Yep, it was time to leave the owlery.. "I'm sure there i-" Lex silenced her by coming forward, too quickly, and hugging her too tightly. The hufflepuff laughed, once released from her friends grip. "Uhuh, I'll meet you down there." Because there was no way she'd be the hyperactive seventeen year old there, she was already racing out of the place. Slowly but surely, Vannah followed after out of the owlery and down the stairs. |
Herminny walked over to the owlery a little distraught, she was hoping her family Snow Owl Paulina would have the letter from home her mother promised her. She needed one after such a hard !st day in Arithmancy. She locates her snowy owl and see's parchment toid to her leg and her face lights up. She then notices something different about Paulina, she was a bit reserved. But Herminny was desperate and manages to detatch the parchment from her owls leg and opens it and see's the letter was not from her mother, but from her brother Helio who she had not seen in a year since since he graduated from Hogwarts 2 years ago since he got his grant to study dragons abroad in Egypt. Helio writes: I am sorry I have not written to you in a while. I have just been so busy this past year. There is no excuse to leave the family in the dark. I just wanted to wait till I had some good news to share and since getting a job in dragon taming was out of the question at the time I did not want to dissopoint you guys. Anyway, I am doing well getting to know the dragons here and jobs are finally opening up, with any luck I'll get a job taming dragons in 6 months time. I wrote to mom and dad and told them all about it and that I am now telling you to look foward to seeing me over Christmas break, I have missed you little sis and I can't wait to see then. Herminny smiled half-heartedly and proceeded back to common room to write her brother about how stupid he was to think he needed to have good news to talk to his family, wish him luck on getting a job, and tell him she is happy she will get to see him again soon. |
Willow made her way into the owlery once again in search of Goliath. She was getting worried. The wee owl should have come straight to her or her sister when he arrived here. She took a look all around her, turning on the spot to get a good look at all the owls in turn. She squinting up at the high roof housing lots of dozing owls. “Goliath?” She said softly, not wanting to disturb the sleeping owls; nothing. “Goliath.” She said a little louder; still nothing. She bit her bottom lip. Now she was worried. Not sure what to do now, she drew her wand and muttered the incantation “Accio Goliath.” Well... it was worth a try; ...but alas, nothing happened. She pocketed her wand, looking a little defeated. Where was the poor wee bird? She sighed and shook her head, sniffing back a tear. Her dad would be devastated if anything had happened to his owl... and it would all be Willow's fault. |
Mariska stood in the owlery, silently rereading the slightly irritating letter her mother had sent to her. Well, to be fair her mother's letters were always slightly irritating and cold in tone, but that was her mother. She ran a finger over Catch's back, absentmindedly stroking his black and grey feathers. She gave a sigh, her mind still trying to work out just what it was between her and certain...boys at the moment. |
Crystal Kayla entered the owlery with letter in hand, she was too busy looking for her owl Cleo that she didn't take any notice of anyone else in the vicinity. Before she could even call her, Cleo was upon her shoulder and it always made Kayla chuckle that her owl always knew when she was needed. "Hello my beautiful girl" she murmured. She placed the envelope in Cleo's beak. "Take this to Nico, for me please" she said giving the owl a gentle stroke before carrying her to the window and watching her take flight. |

"When he told me, naturally I was upset but then reasoning caught up with me. We weren't together at the time and I had no claims upon him, so he could see whoever he wanted" she almost choked on that part. "It's just that I feel kind of responsible for you getting hurt" she opened her mouth to say more but she couldn't find the words just yet and so she merely looked at the ground. |
Celandine skipped up the stairs, skidded through the door and danced over to her owl, stroking it gently and digging in her pocket for owl treats. She paused, part way through the action and looked up, belatedly realising she wasn't alone. Oh it was just Kayla and that girl that was one of her brothers 'friends'. "Hi!" Celandine greeted cheerfully, not registering the tension in the air at all. She pulled out the owl treats, gave them to her owl and turned to smile brightly at Kayla and.... what was her name again? Mari! Yeah. "Oooh I have letters for you two. In my trunk. I sorta forgot about them. One for Camira and one for Evolette and one for Lima and one for Maddox and one for Amanda and one for Whitney and one for..." Cela trailed off, "Oh there are heaps and I don't even know who most of them are. Mostly girls I think." Cela mused. "Anyway, I'll get them later. But don't tell Nico that I took so long because he might get mad at me." Celandine grinned at the two older girls, stroked her owl again and turned to skip out the door. "Bye!" She called over her shoulder as she left. |

Kayla merely acknowledged Cela with a nod of her head. The girl didn't care about what was going on and so Kayla felt no need to address her, she had left the owlery anyway, so really there was no point. |
