Oh why did I do this? Why did I feel the need to go to Professor SCARY MAN?!!?! Bunbury doesn't make such a bad eleven year old, it's kind of an improvement!

Tobi took a deep breath and it all rushed out with some words attatched. "It's P-p-professor B-bunbury Sir!" Tobi quaked. "She thinks she's eleven years old! Or she thought she was eleven. Cale Thornton and I were in her office, she threw kind of a tantrum tossed us out, and we were trying to trick her to see... well anyone. But then she snapped out of it and got REALLY mad at us for treating her so young, and now I'm here. I'm telling you Sir, she's not right in the head!"

Professor Kazimeriz's eyebrows furrowed. "First, I shall caution you to calm down before I begin deducting points for your dramatic behavior. Second, the situation sounds like it is more Healer Byron's realm... but because of your ridiculous behavior I wish to resolve this personally. However, childish behaviour is hardly an emergency. You will sit and wait." Bunbury was a bit of a silly git anyway, prone to dramatics. Perhaps the child was just overreacting to her apparent lack of professional behaviour. "As you were saying, Cullack?"

"Yes Sir. I was saying how I had come to not fear you. I just figured that you're a man who knows how dangerous it is outside in the real world for us younger kids and you want to teach us the best way to protect ourselves. Be it through your hardness or the fun activities you seem to give us." he replied staring him in the face. "I was always taught to face my fears, so I'm here. You're really not that scary anymore." he added shrugging his shoulders.

Kazimeriz looked at the boy, raising an eyebrow as he listened to his speech. "I see. You have come to rejoice over your newfound courage. Bravo, bravo indeed." He eyed the boy and wrinkled his nose in distaste. He shook his head. "You are right about one thing: I do know the dangers of this world and it is my duty to educate you so that you may survive. Twenty points shall be deducted from your house for showcasing how very little you have learned about both defense and respect. Your speech was disrespectful and unwise if self-preservation is your goal... as it should be, in defense." He rose and glared down at the boy. "And take from this experience this lesson: never, NEVER give away your position to one who has the power to alter your destiny. That is the path to your own destruction. You are excused." He sat back down, gathering his things so that he could go see about Professor Bunbury's condition.

William stood there, listening to the speech, his eyes never leaving the other mans' face. "What? That's so not fair professor!" he said in a high pitched voice. Adding softly so he thought he couldn't hear, "I can see why no one likes you." he said in an oddly calm voice, eyes flashing. "I was only trying to do the right thing. I can see you don't like people saying how they've learned in your class." he retorted sarcastically, not wanting to have to explain this to his classmates. If anything he did learn a lesson, never speak to this man again.

Grumbling he turned on his eel and began to walk out.

Kazimeriz pointed his wand at the student, casting a spell to stop him in his tracks. "Fair. An interesting choice of words." He rose and, taking his cane, walked up to the boy, staring him down. "Who are you to speak of fairness to me? What do you know of fairness in this life, what does the wealth of your eleven years know about justice that you are so quick to judge my actions? " he hissed at the boy, his voice icy and cool but his eyes filled with controlled fury. "Speak, boy. But know this: with each word you utter that displeases me, you lose an additional two points."

William stood his ground, he wasn't going to allow this man to aggravate him further. "Sir." He began, his heart beating at a slightly heavier beat than normal. "No matter what I say will make you happy. This is a loose-loose situation." He said, his voice oddly calm. "I admit I don't know a lot about what is right or fair , but I do know it's not right to pick on those weaker than you, and to show respect to those who are more powerful, as you obviously are." He said, putting his hands behind his back.

Oh, was he so in for it now.

"You were warned. Fifty-six points in total for your cheek." Professor Kazimeriz growled. His hip was hurting badly, the students were bloody disrespectful, and on top of that he would have to go all the way out to the grounds to see the herbology professor who was apparently behaving like a loon. "Additionally, you will compose a respectful letter of apology to your fellow Housemates, explaining to them why you felt it was appropriate for you to come into a professor's office and speak in such an arrogant and insolent manner. You will also explain why you felt it was appropriate to foreit your classmates' hard-earned points, and why you feel such behavior is representative of your Ravenclaw wit and intellect." He smirked. "You will read this letter aloud at your table in the Great Hall during dinner, then post it on the Ravenclaw bulletin board. Failure to do so -- and to complete these tasks -- before my next class will cost your House dearly. You are dismissed." He turned to Avalon. "Come, Avalon. You will accompany me to Professor Bunbury's office."

William gulped loudly, his eyes widening. So nothing he would say would please this man, he knew that now and was determined never to speak to him again. Well, after he said this one final thing, "Im sorry professor." he said in a small voice, feeling his tear ducts fill with liquid.

He bowed respectfully and turned, walking to the door and opening it slowly. His chin wobbled as he stepped back the threshold of the door, wondering how in the world he'd be able to do what KaziMeani-panteriz asked of him without loosing even more points. Taking a deep breath, he was wary of leaving, in case he wanted more points taken off, or to curse him into oblivian or perhaps to even send him to the Headmaster and get expelled.

What had he gotten himself into?

"And that will be six points... to your house. Had you said that from the beginning, instead of your little tirade, you would have saved your house fifty points." Kazimeriz said. Perhaps the boy could be taught. "Come along, Avalon. We shall go see Professor Bunbury and see what she has to say about your accusations." He gathered his cane and summoned his cloak to go out.

William stiffened as the professor spoke again, before allowing his shoulders to slump slowly. Well, 6 points to the good is a good start he mused, turning back to smile sheepishly at the professor before turning and walking out the door fully. He was never going to make this mistake again he declared fully, promising to himself to do better and make up for the lost gallons of posts. Perhaps then his fellow housemates wouldn't beat him too badly.

He so wasn't looking forward to this.

Kazimeriz watched the boy go, then rose and headed to the door, ushering the other students out, including Avalon. He locked the door behind him with a charm. "Take me to the childlike Professor Bunbury."

Tobi jumped at having been addressed by Professor Scary Man, he'd just started to relax, well as much as one can relax in that office, which put him at a mild state of catatonia.

"Yessir," he squeaked. "She's - uh - in her office last time I checked. I left Cale with her. This way, Sir. I mean Please! I mean Please and Thank You! I mean, Wibble!"

Tobi hoped against hope that she'd done another About Face/ Fugue State Amnesia and decided she was an Ickle Eleven Year old again. Or Professor Scary Man would use his entrails in a Steak and Kidney Pie!

ooc note: the professor's office is currently empty and closed. Please do not post coming into the office until I return and invite you in.

An owl swooped throught the door with a letter in her beak. She dropped the letter on the top of the Professors desk and then swooped back out of the room.

Professor Kazimeriz entered the office, noting the owl on his desk. He sat and read it, then penned a quick note in reply, indicating that he would attend the meeting with the student, and sent it with the girl's owl.

"Miss Winters... to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" he asked, leaning back and folding his hands.

He noticed his orb on his desk showing a new visitor-- the librarian-- and then there was a knock on the door. "Excuse me a moment." he addressed Kayla. "You may enter, madame." He spoke clearly, broadcasting the message to the hall outside.


"But of course. Please take a seat." He indicated a comfortable-looking leather chair. "You are welcome to some tea, if you like." he moved his eyes to include the students in the room. "And you may have tea and cookies while you wait." He said to Miss Winters. Immediately his charmed teapot set to work pouring out cups of tea for the guests in the office. [b]"Pardon me, but I believe this matter calls for a bit of discretion... muffliato!" he cast so that no students could overhear. "Now, then. About the incident. How may I assist?"

ooc: Anna, I'm not sure if Miss Greingoth entered with Kayla- my belief was that she did, as Kazimeriz would've held the door for both of them. I needed to enter so Mme. Kohan and Kazi could speak, but you weren't online and I didn't want to metagame you or move your charrie without permission... so if she would have entered, go ahead and Rp that she's in the room and I can edit this to indicate that she was here too, getting tea and being muffliato'ed. If that's a word.

"Thank you very much." She carefully walked around the chair and slid down into a seating position. Very comfortable, the chair was. Accepting the tea as the teapot finished its pouring, the librarian immediately raised the cup to her lips and sipped it. The effect was immediately, thankfully taking away some of the chill that she felt.

Thankful that the professor had cast the Muffliato charm, Angela gave him a grateful smile before answering his question. "I understand that you were one of the professors present at the front desk where the child was found. I figured that you would be able to give me the best account of what exactly happened. From what I gathered from the prefect that had come by my office, it was not obvious how exactly the student had...passed on."

Professor Kazimeriz nodded. "Regrettably, what I can share about what transpired is somewhat limited. The students sent an owl to me... I approached the desk and the students were crowded about, the dead child -- Avis, I believe-- on the floor in the center. I examined the body... there was no noticable smells or discoloration to indicate a systemic poisoning or point of contact with a cursed object. Whoever or whatever struck, it was covert. I am disinclined to believe it was a natural death, though of course that might be the case; we must rule nothing out. I did not have the opportunity to question the students present, as much as I would have liked to... one of them may have seen or heard something important. After all, the death could have even been caused by... well, one of the people there on the scene." He raised an eyebrow. "Where were you when the incident transpired? We could not locate you." Granted, there was so much chaos and the other professors were so singularly unhelpful that they did not spend much time looking for her. Still.

Kayla, observed the Professor for a moment before leaning forward in her chair. "Well Professor, I was wanting to speak to you abou-" she was cut short by the appearance of the librarian and she immediately closed her mouth and leaned back in the chair. Kayla gave the Professor a courteous nod when he told her to wait.

"Thank you Professor, that is most kind of you" she said as she watched in fascination as the teapot started to pour the tea into the cups and she leaned forward once again to take a cookie. Kayla was about to suggest that she could leave and come back when there was buzzing in her ears and she immediately recognised that he had cast the muffliato spell. Although she had-had that spell cast on her before it had never been this strong and she chewed on her cookie to take her mind off the buzzing.

As the professor shared his information, Angela listened intently, wanting to understand exactly what had happened. He, being the DADA professor, was another reason that she had gone straight to him. He would know what to look for or be able to detect something amiss.

"I didn't see anything unusual around the desk area that would indicate some sort of fight had broken out. It makes me think the child was taken by surprise." She remarked with a shake of her head. "But who would do such a thing is beyond me. Of course, it could have been due to natural causes, but the circumstances just seem to point in a different direction."

As Kazimeriz stated that there were students on scene and that he hadn't had the opportunity to interrogate them, she frowned slightly. The students must have been terribly frightened. "From what I understand, a group of students apparently saw someone moving in a darker corner of the library, but when they investigated, there was no one there. Tricks of the mind and light? Or someone with an invisibility charm?" That question brought to mind the thought that it was someone of a more advanced level of magical knowledge.

"In my office. Professor Bunbury and I were planning to search for a book that she remembered reading as a child. When we returned, a student was waiting for me, so I had her start looking in the bookshelves while I conversed with the student. Not long after, one of the Gryffindor prefects appeared to relate the story of what happened."

Professor Kazimeriz listened intently. "We can rule nothing out: accident, illness or intentional attack... I presume that no natural cause has been found by the Healer or we would have heard-- at least, that is my hope. But from what you say... There could very well have been a person in the room, concealed either by a charm or an invisibility cloak... there is something else we must consider. The perpetrator could very well have been one of the so-called witnesses...perhaps another student, either under cover or right there in plain sight. I have been instructing students on curses; I sincerely hope one of them did not take the initiative to experiment with the Avada Kedavra..." he sighed. It wouldn't be the first time one of his students had made such a poor decision, after all.

"I presume the boy crossed over- if only he had remained as a ghost, so we could question him!' He contemplated for a moment, trying to formulate a plan. "I suggest this course of action: post a notice on all common room bulletin boards asking that any student that was present at the scene report to a common location-- perhaps the headmaster's office -- at a specific time. We can question the students and perhaps even remove and review some of their memories of the event... perhaps there is are clues that, once pieced together, will help us uncover the cause of the student's untimely death."

He noticed his orb glowing faintly, Kettleburn's image in it. "If you'll excuse me-- I need to tend to a disciplinary matter for one moment. I would like to clear these students out so we can speak more freely without the use of charms. Please feel free to enjoy a sweet with your tea..." He motioned to a tray of warm cookies, then spoke into his wand.

"Kettleburn. You may enter. All others, please wait your turn- I have scheduled an appointment with Kettleburn."

Copernicus entered the office and stood at attention in front of the Professor's desk. "Good evening, Professor Kazimeriz."

"Kettleburn. Have a seat." He indicated a leather chair directly across from his own. "Join us in a cup of tea, won't you?" The charmed teapot swooped over and poured into the cup on the desk in front of Copernicus, spilling not a drop. "Do you know why I brought you here tonight? Specifically?"

Copernicus sat and even accepted the cup of tea, but there was no way he'd be able to get it to his mouth without dropping it. His hands would start to shake if he didn't focus all his attention on keeping them still. "Because I disappointed my house, my professors, and myself, sir?" Ugh, he felt that.

Kazimeriz raised an eyebrow. "Do not state merely what you think I want to hear. How, exactly, did you disappoint 'house, professors and yourself'?"
