Antonio walked into the classroom and placed a stack of books onto the table at the front of the room. He wasn't sure how many students would be attending class today but in case the books ran out, he had a spell set so that they would automatically multiply to accomodate the needs of the class.
"Everyone, go ahead and ipick up one of the textbooks and take a seat. We're just going to wait a little bit for more people to show up before we get started," he announced. | |

Antonio laughed. "I agree with all of you," he said. "I think it's kind of a ridiculous way to get around, but I wanted to use it as an example to show that while muggles basically really know how to get around, sometimes they can be a bit ridiculous."
He turned to the class. "With that, I think we are pretty much finished here for today. I'm going to bring the ice cream in, after all that's another muggle treat, what could be more fitting? We've discussed different types of muggle transportation, but how well do you think you could actually find your way around if you had to get around on your own, and on public transportation at that? Well, we will find out!
Your assignment is this. You are leaving from Hogwarts (where you are now). Imagine that you are taking the train back to Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Railway Station, as that will be your starting point. You are to figure how you would reach two different routes from that point. Each correct answer is worth 5 points, with extra credit possible.
First, how would you reach Buckingham Palace in London if you were traveling from King's Cross Railway Station?
Next, how would you reach Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, California?
Remember, you are using public transportation! (Public transportation means airlines, trains, railways, buses, lorries, street cars, whatever. No private automobiles.) Write up how you would get from Point A to Point B. Try and keep your explanations as clear as possible. I want to see how much you can understand route planning.

If they can get there fastest by taking a subway then they do that but if they can get there fastest by taking a plane they will do that.
