"Alright, I'll take it," Copernicus pushed his bag of galleons across the desk and snatched up the pile of Muggle American dollars. Wow, that was the best exchange rate in the entire world, probably. They sure weren't making any money off this deal. He backed off quickly before the boy could take the money back.

"Hey, Anna. I have something for you..." He raised his eyebrows meaningfully at her. "And hey... Anna's boyfriend. I'm called Copernicus Kettleburn."

As infuriated as Anna was, she found it in her to tear her eyes away from her boyfriend, aka "THE MAN," and glance around to find out just who that was apparently muffling a laugh nearby. No doubt Cale and Anna had just put on quite the show for anyone and everyone who'd been standing in the vicinity. It was all Cale's fault, though! Anna hadn't been the one to trip and stumble and send precious galleons tumbling to and fro. Anna's eyes fell on a nearby boy---Oh, Tobi---who was obviously fighting laughter at the commotion going on right before his eyes.

"103 galleons, 12 sickles and 27 knuts," Anna said, whispering to Cale. "We almost have five hundred U.S. dollars each!" Anna glanced up and flashed her biggest and brightest smile to Tobi. "Oh, haaii, Tobi!" Anna greeted, pleased see her friend and fellow Gryffindor waiting to serve them. Tobi was smart, and he's undoubtedly give them the correct amount!

"Oh, we have five hundred each? So, yeah, one thousand dollars!" Anna exclaimed, happy that they'd ended up with such an even amount. Anna reached her hands out to grab the money Tobi was giving to her, but found that Cale had already snatched it away. Of course he was still trying to be "THE MAN!"

"Yes, yes, I see that it's not a convict! Thank you, Sherlock...erm, Combs?" Anna said, her comment coming out more like a suggestion. She was no muggle, nor was she a half-blood. How was she supposed to know Sherlock Combs real name? "Oh, and thank you for the wisdom, too...erm...erm....I have no name to call you for that! Thank you, though...Caleb..."

"Thank you, tons and tons and tons, Tobi. If we use our money wisely, I'm sure we can successfully get to the correct destination. I'll see you around, k?" Anna said, tugging Cale's sleeve and leading him away. "Come along, Caleb....oh, Cope...Plymmy!" Anna said, all in one breath. Anna smiled as she glanced back and forth among the three boys. Maybe they could put their heads together and get this done! "What'cha got for me?" she asked Cope.

Growl...

Jake knew this guy... oh yes. Without a word, he reached out and counted the galleons were all there before scraping them towards him and to the collecting trough he'd set up. "Here," he muttered, tossing the bundle of dollars that equalled $500 towards the boy. "Five hundred..."

Now geeeeeet ouuuuuut...

No good luck, no use it well.

"Hey there," Jake smiled, taking the sack and counting them out. Yup, all there. "Here, Five hundred... use it well... good luck..." he nodded, handing over the bundle of $500...

And then he greeted Emiliano.

"Hmm..." Jake eyed the boy carefully. "And I'll have no trouble in here, Sonny Jim," he added with the most authoritarian voice he could muster, before tsking and muttering to himself, "Kids these days... don't know the value of a well earned dollar..."

Plymouth was ill at ease with the large amount of money. He was frowning at it, wishing he wasn't responsible for so much. "Alright, men, menly men, exchange me out please. 100 galleons. Cha-ching!"

"Well, well, well... if it isn't mister two ply toilet paper..." Jake grinned, headed over to Plymouth as the boy was, in fact, a fifth year. "Here-"

He took the money and counted it out, hoping for it to be short or something... No, all there.

Jake counted through it all again, eyeing Plymouth suspiciously when he saw that it was, in actual fact, all there. Grrrrrrr.

"Here," he said again, handing over the bundle of dollars. "Five hundred... Use it w-" ... Nahh. "Good lu-" NO WAY!

"Bye."

Plymouth licked his fingers, one, two, three times and then counted out five bucks. "Here you go, kind sir. A tip. For your troubles." Plymouth tucked the five, one dollar bills into Jake's front pocket of his robe. "Do use it well, ole chap."

And there we go, Plymouth had gotten rid of some of the frivolous money. He moseyed over to stand with Copernicus and stare at Anna.

"Sherlock COMBS? Are you making fun of my hair?" Cale asked self-consciously, touching his curly hair gently to make sure it was still all in place. He was distracted, however, as Copernicus and Plymouth walked up to exchange their money as well.

"Oh, right, yeah...I'm Cale, Cale Newell," he said, smiling politely and giving a little wave. "You're Plymouth's brother, right?" he asked, glancing again over at Plymouth who was waiting for his money.

Starting to feel like the third or wait, was it fourth? wheel as Anna started acting...crazy and hyper again, Cale cleared his throat. "Hey, are you guys coming with us?" he asked with a shrug. Anna was obviously friends with them, they were two of the smartest Ravenclaw's in the school, and Plymouth was pretty cool, despite his undying love for his girlfriend. Copernicus was probably pretty chill too--why not invite them?

"Four brains are better than one, right?" he asked with a grin. "Now that we've got our money, we're supposed to go, um...get to America, right?" he asked, looking at Anna uncertainly.

Tobi raised his eyebrow at Mouth. That kid was a strange, though generous, duck. He'd kind of miss him when he graduated, after everything.

"Yeah Jake, don't spend it all in one place, eh?" Tobi quipped.

Eyeing the guy suspiciously, Jake nodded a polite nod of thanks, before watching the fifth year walk away. "Good luck then, I suppose," he mumbled, in return to the oh-so-kind gesture.

What the heck am I going to do with american money?

"Hmmm?" Jake murmured, playing with the green tinted peak of the visor and staring around absentmindedly. "Yeah sure... not in one place, of course..."

Mmmmm... people are strange...

Quite distracting life can be after your parents tell you the worst news ever, right? But....Em was not going to let too much people notice his anger, his worrying moments after he knew he was going to have to move with his parents. To add, he was not going to let them take him along.

"Hey, mate...how's life treating you?" He asked him, pretending to come out of that little trance.

Ok. The boy sure was angry at Emiliano. He just...grinned at his glares. Someday, they had to talk but not now...Jake was quietly and responsibly doing his job.

"Thank you, Jake..." He said, a wide and friendly, kinda hipocritical smile was shown towards the boy as Emiliano walked out of there and let the next person, who was Chris take his money.

"What? Your hair? Caleb, what on Ear---...oh, Sherlock Combs! That's his name, silly boy!" Anna replied, giggling at the way Cale had mistakingly thought she was making fun of his hair. She watched as he patted his curly locks, panicking that something had suddenly gone deathly wrong with them. "You look just fine, sweetheart. Handsome, even." Anna followed Cale's gaze to Cope and Plymouth, and she watched as they exchanged their money, as well.

She continued to watch as the boys made their little introductions. While they did that, Anna took the opportunity to flash Plymouth an extra smile and wave. Ohh, it'd be fun having Plymouth along on this trip indeed! "Okay, so it's all set! We'll join forces and get this challenge solved! Are we done here? We seem to be," Anna said, linking her arms with both Cale and Cope and then nodding at Plymouth to come along, as well. "Off we go, then," she said, leading the boys out the door and of to who-knew-where.

Plymouth saluted the little Power-Puff. "If you can't think of a reason for it, buy candy for Cela."



.... And so then Plymouth was with his new group. Daddy Newell, Perni, and Anna. Plymouth blinked slowly at Anna, those big eyes and the lashes... Was anyone else seeing this? Plymouth turned around to look at Obi, see if he was at least watching...

SOOO - Plymouth brought up the rear, as they left the shop. "Bye guys! I'll send you a postcard from America! Or buy you a little Statue of Liberty lighter!" Plymouth totally would, too. "Tootles!"


And the group, Anna, Plymouth, Perni and Daddy Newell left the money exchange area.

Chris took the money. And put it in his pocket. "Thanks bud." He said and turned to walk out.

"Umm ok. You?" He asked. But watched Emiliano walk out. "Hey wait up." He said walking after him. He really didn't want to do this alone and maybe Em and him could to it together.

Grinning baffoon!

Watching the Ravenclaw turn away, feeling incensed by the stupid grinning.. Jake was unhappy... WHY WAS HE NOT UNHAPPY AS WELL?!

"Hmmm?" Jake murmured again, looking back around. "Sure, sure, candy for Cela... sure..." he nodded, feeling a tad spaced out by tis point. Why is he being all nice?

"Great..." Emiliano said, sarcastically as he walked out. He stopped to wait for Chris and head to the transportation checkpoint.

Cedric entered the currency exchange store and head to the counter..."Umm..Can you convert it to Us dollar please.."Cedric said as he give the 100 galleons

Sakura thought that professor Dumont had gone completely bonkers but nonetheless this should be a fun adventure. Especially if she had worked out those clues correctly. And that reminded her Dumont still hadn't given her back those points he'd promised her via their deal. Well he better remember to do so before the end of school thank-you very much. Walking sedately up to the volunteer she smiled pleasantly and asked, "May I please exchange my 100 Galleons for U.S dollars?"

Ruby looked at the Professor with a wide-eyed expression and nodded as she walked up to the volunteer and asked "could i exchange my 100 gallons for US dollers please"

Harley walked in the exchange centre and handed over his money, "US dollars please", He couldn't wait to get to the final destination to find out if he had worked out the clues right.

Elizabeth walked into the currency exchange place, making sure she kept the small money bag containing the Galleons Professor Dumont had given all of them for the quest separate from her own personal stash of money. Although, the fact her personal money bag contained a mixture of Wizarding money and American dollars that she had neglected to exchange before the term started should help to keep things straight.

Anyway, she walked up to the counter and placed the Muggle Studies purse on top, taking the galleons out and separating them into nice, neat stacks of ten, which helped her make sure she still had all 100 with her. She didn't think there had been any chances for her to lose any, but she wanted to make sure. And once her ten stacks were complete, she looked up at the students doing the exchanges. She recognized Tobi and Jake; the third boy was unfamiliar, but she didn't think it was relevant.

"Hi. How are you today?," she said with a smile as she was noticed. If she was going to pretend this was real, she may as well be polite. Go all the way, as far as she was concerned. Even if she recognized the people waiting on her. "Um, I'd like to exchange 100 Galleons for American dollars," she then said. "It's all here. I just checked." Now if only she had figured out how to do exchange rates in her head, she would be able to tell them how much she should get. Somewhere in the mid-400s, she thought. But then, she wasn't doing the actual exchange, they were.

Ross counted the number of people that were there with the 100 galleons and by his counting there were 5 so 5 x 500 meant $2500. Taking $2500 he split it into five piles of $500 and began to hand them out.

Taking the first pile he handed it to the first person and said "Use it wisely" as he took the 100 galeons off of them.

"Well of course you can" he said as he took a seat and handed the second pile's worth to her. "Use it wisely he said as he took the 100 galleons from her.

Ross had decided to keep the talking short so taking the money he handed over $500. "Use it wisely" he said as he waited for the next person to step forwards.

Ross took the money and began to look for were he put the fourth pile and when he found it he said "Sorry about that, here you go". Ross decided that it wasnt a good idea to lose the money. "Good luck?" he said as he waited for the last person to step forwards.

Ross didnt recognise the girl that had stepped frward but then again he hadnt really recognised many people in his year as he kept to himself since Astrid left. "Im fine" He said as he took the 100 galleons from her "How are you". "Here is your 500 dollars" He said handng the neat pile of green money.

Taking the muggle money and handing over her Galleons Sakura smiled at the boy. "Thank-you, I hope you have a good day." That said she turned around and walked out of the currency exchange, planning where she thought she should go next.

With a long strapped bag hanging loosely on her shoulder, third year Melina entered the Currency Exchange Store with a grin on her strawberry lips. At last her knowledge about Muggles and their way of living would have a big compensation, or she hoped it would be big. It would all depend on how the final went, she supposed and, well, if they were going to be in the Muggle world then it was possible for things not to go as well as she wanted to believe it. After all, she wasn't going to stay in dear England, was she? And that was definitely not her only worry, the only thing she had to consider. Oh no, for she also could not forget the fact that she wouldn't be working with the same coin as she was used to and that she'd be going back in time, which meant that people would be different from what she was used to and not just the people but society itself.

Oh dear, this could really become dangerous. Hopefully someone wouldn't mind being by her side, for she really didn't want to be all alone in the strange world she was about to set her feet on.

Before that might happen, though, Melina would have to get that foreign money into her hands and that, that was not hazardous at all, was it? At least the other students appeared to be leaving the store unharmed. But then again, were those Hogwarts students she saw giving out the money? Uh. If every place she had to go to had her colleagues populating it, then maybe it wouldn't be as scary as she believed it to be.

It was with that merry thought that a suddenly cheerful Melly approached the counter, glad that, for once, it was short enough for part of her torso to be exposed. Obviously, that single fact was an omen that things would go on fine, for each and every time she had went to Gringotts, her day had gone awfully wrong, and everyone knew just how absurdly tall those counters were.

"Hi," She greeted in a friendly tone. "I'd like to have these 100 galleons exchanged into US dollars, please," She asked her fellow students, placing the said money on top of the counter.

Cedric took the $500 that the officer gave to him.."Thanks.."Cedric said.."oh..I'm going to clothing store now.."Cedric muttered to himself..still wandering what is the event..

"Hi there," Jake beamed to the friendly looking girl. "Well... I shall do what you require," he added, counting out the one hundred galleons and checking it was all there. "Yep, just bear with me a second," Jake said, moving out of sight for a second and grabbing another few bundles of dollars.

"Here," he said as he handed it over to the girl. "You got five hundred there... Use it wisely, and good luck," Jake said with another smile.
