Jake pondered for a moment. "I ran around it," he answered matter-of-factly. "Once round, that's it... Why?"

Nodding, Jake thought back a bit. "I suppose... I always have been the kind of person to keep to myself... family I suppose get annoying if you kinda see them alot..."

Jake suddenly felt extremely jealous of William, feeling close to his mother and stuff. But they were in the same boat with the whole father issue. "My dad left a few weeks after I was born," Jake said, to sort of fill the conversation a bit. "He said I was weird, apparently, not normal... and I never spent all that much time with my mum. But she said she's looking for him... so I can live with him instead."

Jake looked out of the window and his eyes glazed over for a bit. Truth be told, he wasn't the best kid to have a conversation with. Everytime he spoke to someone, the situation ended up awkward, but Jake never knew that.

"I wonder what summer will be like round here," he mused out loud.

Tammy took a seat at her respective table and ran her hand through her fringe with a sigh as she looked around at the other people occupying the table. No-one she knew. Removing her hand from her hair and twirled one of the curls around her thumb with half a sigh. Her gaze ran to the windows as she looked aout at the tree tops she could see.

Nancy mumbled an almost unaudible "Thanks" to both William and Jake as they gently hit her on the back. A blank expression was plastered across her face as she tried to comprehend what Will had just stated but somehow her brain was unable to do so. A student? Dead? But that didn't make any sense. Somebody died right here at Hogwarts?!
Then suddenly it hit her and her blue eyes widened in shock as they immediately started darting around the Great Hall in search for the faces she longed most to see at the moment. But none of her friends were around which meant that she couldn't be certain that it wasn't one of them Jake and William were talking about.

Right at that moment Nancy gulped noisily upon hearing Jake's words and whirled her head back to face him a mixture of surprise and shock on her face before she muttered shaking her head slightly, "You...you saw it happen?!" The third year knew that the wave of relief that swept over her as some Hufflepuff girl told them the victim's name was wrong, very wrong but she just couldn't help it. She was so glad that it hadn't turned out to be one of her friends after all. Of course this Set's death was still terrible, especially it seemed to this girl whose face was soaked from all the tears she was crying.

Her brain was working on high speed as she listened attentively to Jake telling the story and at the same time still tried to make sense of it all. The Library? With Jake standing right there? Biting her lip nervously Nancy was a bit unsure of what to do or how to react, especially since reliving the whole scene in his head was apparently pretty tough for Jake as well. "I'm...uhm...so sorry." She stammered while patting Jake's hand before adding, "So...uhm...if there's anything I can do just...well, tell-" She never got to finish her sentence, though, since right at that moment William had apparently decided that this was the right time to start dancing and singing which was just...crazy.

Shifting away a bit from William Nancy stared at the boy in sheer disbelief as he just continued dancing and singing. Uhm...okay? But at least Jake was grinning again which was good, still the whole situation was pretty awkward. The third year turned her attention back to the plate in front of her with a small roll of her eyes at the two boys but the smile that was tugging at the corner of her lips made it obvious that she was relieved that their conversation had moved on to more cheerful subjects.

Nancy played with the apple pie on her plate a bit making it look rather unappitizing since she couldn't manage to eat one more bit of it after the shock of discovering that a student had died. How? Why? But her brain was unable to find an answer to her questions so she returned to listening to William and Jake's chatter until she caught onto something Jake said. "Summer? It's awesome. Well...what did you think?" She gave him a small grin at her last words and shook her head a bit causing her dark-blonde hair to bounce off her shoulder slightly. What kind of a question was that? Everything was awesome at Hogwarts! Duh. Well, except when thing's like that Set-incident happened of course.

Jake's head whirled round to see Nancy's face, his voice falling silent. Well... if that was how she reacted, then Jake was glad he hadn't recounted the whole thing to her just yet. It was bad enough being the first and only one there to start with...

"Mhmm..." Jake nodded as he responded to Nancy, indicating he had indeed been there. Allowing his mind to wander, which was in fact a very stupid thing for him to do, Jake was shaken out of his reverie by a question from Nancy. "Hmmm? What?" he mumbled, shaking his head a little, trying to remember what they had been speaking about.

William was lost in his own world and completely forgot Nancy was still there. He shook his head and looked at her, blank face as he blinked back into awareness. "Summer... uh I have no idea, I guess." he said distractedly as he looked around.

He was still in shock over everything that's happened. He felt like a fool for even bringing up the topic of the rumor that turned true and knew what Kazimeriz had said about keeping his mouth shut. It ran away with him sometimes and that's what got him into trouble. He had a lot of apologizing to do but he knew he could do it. He was brave enough for that.

Right?

He looked back at the only two friends he seemed to have, thinking he should say something. "I always visit my cousin during the summer. She promised to get me a real dragon tooth necklace" if I pass the term he added to himself as he tried to smile.

Nancy had continued to absentmindly fiddle about with her...well, you couldn't actually call the heap of sticky crumbs on her plate apple-pie anymore but whatever. As her blue eyes now fell on the mess she'd produced she let out a groan as she slowly raised her hands to be able to examine the damage she'd done to her fingers which were completely covered in icky sticky apple-pie-crumbs. "Ew!"

While quickly grabbing a napkin to clean her hands Nancy's brow furrowed slightly in confusion as she turned her attention back to Jake who seemed a bit confused by her answer to his question. "Summer? Remember? You were asking about summers at Hogwarts?" She then jerked her head around to be able to face William again and stared at him for a while contemplating over what to answer. A real dragon tooth necklace? Uhm...okay? "That's...uhm...great, William. Where does your cousin live?"

"Ooh, a real dragon?" Jake asked, eyes going wiiiiiiiide. "Like a real big dragon?"

Woooooow... a dragon...

Jake gazed out of the window a second, eyes glazing over once more. In his mind dragons soon turned somehow into quidditch players, and he fascinated himself for about 5 looooong minutes with a whole game in his head.

"Hmm?" Jake glanced round at Nancy, suddenly remembering. "Oh yeah, I was, wasn't I?" But unfortunately, Jake had nothing else to talk about on that subject, so he went back to the marmite subject he was on in his head.

"Do you two play quidditch?"

Quidditch, you either love it or you hate it...

He turned to Nancy smiling, "She used to live in London, but she moved to Romania to further her studies." He replied proudly. It was so cool having a relative who worked with the dangerous creatures, ones reason why he loved creatures too he guessed, distractedly grabbing a piece of fruit and biting into it.

He tilted his head as he heard Jake and chuckled, "Yes a real dragon, full grown ones and little babies. she works with the babies right now." He explained. "She was thrilled when she found out there was a small colony there, normally there aren't any around that area but Jaoni our cousin wrote to her and see just flew off." she shook his head.

He shuddered slightly at the mention of Quidditch, the one game he never understood. "I don't play, I watch but brooms scare me." he said sheepishly, glancing down at the fruit in his hand.

Eww, Quidditch.

Nancy rolled her eyes in fake annoyance at Jake's answer but smirked at him at the same time while tugging a strand of hair behind her ear. "Whatever" She said shaking her head slightly in amusement as she resumed to try to get rid of the apple pie-crumbs covering her hands with a napkin which turned out to be a rather useless attempt, though.
Shrugging with a small sigh of defeat Nancy stared at the table in front of her with a rather blank expression on her face concentrating on the boys' chatter about dragons, so her thoughts wouldn't drift off to the dead student again. Eep! Too late! She couldn't keep the numerous questions from popping up in her head, questions like Why? How? which simply couldn't be answered.

The third year started rubbing her temples to try to get rid of the different ideas her brain provided to answer her questions as her ears suddenly picked up on something Jake said. Something that was certainly going to distract her, for now at least. "Oh, yes, I do play Quidditch. I'm on the Slytherin team actually." It was almost impossible to miss the pride in her voice as she said that last part before she added excitedly, "And the first match is going to be sooo soon!"
She then turned her head to face William with an amused eypression on her face upon hearing his answer to Jake's question. "Honestly? You're scared of brooms? Why's that?" Then she continued with a wink at William, "Oh, but at least you like watching Quidditch. You need to come to our first match. You too, Jake, Slytherin needs fans!" She smirked at the two boys hoping that they would actually come to their match against Gryffindor.

"Oh, cool," Jake whispered. "Baby dragons..."

He thought for a moment about what those might look like, and became distracted by the boy's shudder. "Wha-?" Ohhhhh... "Yeah, brooms can be quite evil... they just refuse to land me properly," he muttered, glaring out the window. "I only remember seeing one game, when I was tiny but-" Jake stopped himself, not totally sure what events led to him becoming oblivious to the wizarding world.

Turning to Nancy, Jake smirked. "If I cheered on another team, Kaika would probably kill me... but I'll check out the competition," he smiled. "I'm on the Hufflepuff team... what position do you play? My first time ever on a broom was at tryouts... and I've never played an actual game before..."

Jake thought for a second, suddenly becoming rather nervous. He managed to hide it, by taking a sip of water.

Paris got up from the Slytherin table finished breakfast and looked over at the Hufflepuff table and saw Jake and Nancy. Oh goody, friends. She hadn't seen any of her friends in ages. She walked over to the table and sat beside Jake. "Hey you two," She said to Nancy and Jake.

Jake looked around as he felt someone sit next to him, and saw none other than Paris. Letting a big grin pass over his face, Jake unthinkingly enveloped he in a massive hug. He hadn't seen Pair since before that fateful day, and it was just some sort of relief.

"Paris," he smiled. "Hi... We were just talking 'bout Quidditch," he explained.

She giggled when Jake threw his arms around her and pulled her into a hug. He'd never done that before. She had always been the one to hug him first. She rather liked it. She held her hard and hugged him back. "I've missed you," She told him honestly. Other than Xander Jake was the one guy who wasn't her dad that she wanted to be honest with.

She kissed him on the cheek softly. "Oh yes we have a game tomorrow. I am pretty excited about it." She told him. They were playing Gryffindor and she was really nervous and excited at the same time. "And what were you guys talking about?" She asked him and Nancy.

Jake smiled a little when he heard Paris' words. "I haven't been able to talk to you in a long, long time," he stated, doing his Captain Obvious moment of the day. "So much happened."

Jake grinned at the kiss, reaching up to finger the chain he always wore around his neck. "I'll come and watch," he smiled, looking round at Nancy and winking. He had of course planned to go and watch the game in any case, what with his best friend playing Chaser, after all. "And I suppose I could root for Slytherin... Ooh, what position do you play?"

Jake lived a very... very... sheltered life.

Amanda headed into the Great Hall and over to the Hufflepuff Table, she needed to speak with Lima about the tour this summer; since she had to inform the promoter as soon as possible. She fixed her hoodie and moved the guitar straps up onto her shoulders, making sure she didn't drop the case.

Lima was helping herself to some more of the delicious food. YUMMY! She would miss eating here almost as much as her friends. It was a miracle that she was so trim, with all the food she put away.

She was reaching for more potatoes when she saw Amanda walking past her at the other side of the table. "Amanda!" she called out, hoping that the girl would be able to talk. She seemed a bit preoccupied by something.

Amanda stopped when she heard her name, she looked over at the table and saw Lima there. She headed back and sat down at the table, taking her guitar case off her back and opening it up, taking out several pieces of paper. "Hey Lima, what's up?" She said, putting her guitar case back on her back.

She watched as Amanda joined her and took something out of her guitar case. She raised her brow curiously but didn't comment. "Not much here. Enjoying the awesome food here." She took a bite of her potato then asked, "what's up with you?"

"Hmm not much really, though I do have to look over my tour schedule, ugh..I'm playing a concert on my 14th birthday in Toronto,Canada." Amanda said, flipping over the pages and scanning over her tour schedule, she was going around the world in less than 2 months.

She looked up and said, "wow, a concert on your birthday... That sounds fun, actually. But I've never been to Canada before. Just the US." Wow, it would be such a fun place to visit one day. She would have to go there sometime for sure.

"Yeah, so I was wondering if you wanted to come on tour with me. It would help you become known by record executives since there's always a few at the concerts I've played." Amanda said then bit her lip, that was a huge offer to give her friend but she wanted to help her launch her musical career.

Her mouth dropped open. "Are you for cereal?!?!" She had to keep herself from squealing. "I'd love to!" She had to restrain herself from tackling the girl. WOW... Just Wow.

"Excellent, I've just got to let the promoter know later that you're going to open for me at my shows." Amanda said with a smile on her crimson lips, she slid a copy of the tour schedule over to Lima. "That's our tour schedule, we're going around the world, taking my private jet and my tour bus." She said proudly, this was going to be so much fun.

She smiled as she took the schedule from Amanda. "Oh, we start on July 3rd. That's great. Gives me enough time to get settled in Paris before we start." As she spoke, her excitement grew. She was finally going to live out her dream that she had had for most of her life. And nothing was going to stop her. "You have a private jet? Impressive."

"I have to fly to Manchester right when I get off the Hogwarts Express, I'm recording my album. And the tour starts on my birthday, Toronto is the first stop. Nothing says Happy 14th Birthday like doing a concert." Amanda said then laughed."Yeah I do, bought it with the money I got so far from my record contract, same with my tour bus. Okay the bus is absolutely awesome, I've got a area you can practice, where there's 14 guitars hanging on the walls which can be used during the shows. Plus, there's a kitchen and two big beds and a nice sized bathroom. I had the thing totally customized for me." She said with a smirk, it for sure awesome. She couldn't wait for the tour to start, it was going to be incredible.
