Annie bounced into the first shop she came to, having no idea what it was nor did she really need to know. She just wanted to do some shopping...

...and some mischief-making, o'course.

She wandered into Dervish and Banges - such an exciting name for a shop - and started bumbling around, touching things that weren't meant ot be touched, tinkering with a few things here and there....whistling a little tune as she wandered around....

No shopkeeper in sight. That was good.

Chris Potter walked into the Dervish and bangs and looked around no shopkeeper in sight. "Ok" he said to himself. He looked around at some of the merdendise and saw some of the more expensive pieces being touched by none other than his Herbology Professor , Prof. Bunbury not in her right mind. "Oh hello Professor Bunbury, how are you?" he asked her trying to direct her attention away from the expensive items that might break.

Max was still whistling a happy tune when he pushed open the door and entered the shop. His eyes scanned the shop for any students and was relieved to see that there were two adults - one shopkeeper and . . . Woo hoo! It was a whistle of a greeting and he casually let himself be heard. "Fancy meeting you, here Anastasia," he said smoothly and smiled his most charming smile. And his smiling eyes somewhat faltered at the sight of a Gryffindor student.

Anastasia had stopped at the sight of some funky-looking twisty metal thingymajiggy with an unusual texture. Oooh, she thought, putting a hand out to trace the grooves on the screwdriverish tool.

And then someone popped up behind her. "Er, hello hi hi there, I'm fine, not up to anything, nothing at all," she gulped and snuck the the screwdrivery thingy behind her back.

She took a sidestep away from the Gryffindor and bumped into Max, who she really hadn't noticed there. "Maxxxie," Annie called out, grinning right away as she twiddled with the tool behind her back. "Fancy that. Whatcha shopping for on this fine day?"

Chris looked as Bunbury put something behind her back. "Um Professor what is that behind you back." he said looking at her with a focused look.

"Hello, Chris," Vindictus greeted the Gryffindor and turned his full attention to Anastasia. "Maybe some biting handcuffs for Jack or something nasty for Valon." He grinned and ran a hand through his hair. "Whatcha hidin' behind your back?"

Oh snap, am I really not that smooth? Anastasia narrowed her icy blue eyes first at Chris, then at Vindictus, taking a step away from them both.

"Nuthin. I don't got nuthin behind my back."

She cleared her throat and took another step away, twiddling with the fun little toolmabob as she tried to change the subject. "I like the sound of biting handcuffs... where are those located, huh?"

Chris looked at Vindictus and gave him a 'are you going to do something about this look. because chirs wasnt allowed to do anything to a professor.

After much thoughtful debate, Dominic decided that he deserved a day out and away from Hogwarts. So where else would he go than to Hogsmeade; someplace to just relax where he doesn't need to be thinking of OWL examinations and Prefect Duties and the fact that no matter what, his badgers just seem to always fall just short of the sapphires. Annoying.

So here he was. Doing something that he had control over: shopping!

The bell dinged as the fifth year crossed the threshold in Dervish and Banges, but the gleefully irate prefect stopped short at the sight of three people in the store. A gryffindor boy, of whom he was unconcerned with. The redheaded childish Herbology Professor who seemed to hold a grudge against him because she had yet to learn who was boss. And the Quidditch Official, for whom he still had show his ridiculous poem to. Had it not been for that last factor, Dominic probably would have walked out in an instant and headed to the Three Broomsticks or something for a tall glass of the most legal beverage he could get himself.

But he did need to show the professor this and he was going to this time, regardless of the others.

"Hello Professor Vindictus," Dom greeted politely, and then nodded at the redhead. "And Professor Bunbury too." Turning back towards the tall quidditch professor, his expression turned serious. "Professor? Would you mind reviewing something that I wrote at the beginning of the term? It won't take long and I would be honored for your opinion."

"The stuff that bites is located on the wall over here," Max pointed. "My faves are the quills that stick to your hand until you get your homework finished. Quite handy for those who hate to do school work." He caught Chris's look. "You should get back to the school and have the nurse look at your eyes. They've got this abnormal twitch."

And then he saw Dominic. "You want me read something? Now? Does this look like my office, Dominic?"

Annie's eyes floated to the wall Max had mentioned. Oooh, now she could see them. "Do they have anything that explodes in here too?" she asked, her eyes starting to twinkle mischievously. "I mean, the shop is named Dervish and BANGes...."

She slipped the funky, twisty tool into her side pocket as she talked, very very sneaky like. But then the bell to the shop DINGed open and she jumped.

Whew, it's just...just..."Denton." Ugh, that boy.

Abnormal twitch? Dominic turned back to blink at the Gryffindor boy in efforts to determine what Vindictus was on about. He didn't notice anything. Oh... figures that he would give him trouble about reading something.

"No, Professor, it doesn't look like your office." He stated, disappointingly. "But on the contrary, you always seem to be so busy around the school and stuff, so here's as good a spot as any to read something. It's not like I'm requesting you take notes on it or anything. Just a read."

And what the deal was Bunbury on about? Exploding things? And calling him by his last name? Yes. She definitely hated him. Or was secretly envious of him . . .

"You don't get it, do you Denton? Professors are always busy and here you are hounding me to read something when I'm obviously running some important errands and trying to relax. Five points from Hufflepuff," Vindictus said and turned his back on Dominic. "Yes, Anastasia. They do have items that go 'boom' here. Check this out - exploding gobstones!"

While Max turned around to lecture that annnnnoying Prefect, Anastasia made faces at him so Vindy couldn't see. She stuck her tongue out, crossed her eyes, and wiggled her fingers right behind her ears.

That'll show him to lose points from my Huffiepuffle House.

"Oooh really?" Annie put her most angelic look on and bounced over to the gobstones. She poked one lightly with her finger and it simultaneously squirted ink in her hair while sending up a tiny mushroom cloud that scorched her eyebrows.

"AWESOMEEEEEE!" the redhead exclaimed, poking the next five little stones on display. "Dude dude dude," she giggled as some ink got on her fingers and she wiped them on Dominic's robes, "we should get these for Big Bad Mac Shack. In honor of her Hufflepuffle Head of Houseness! They could be like, good luck charms!"

She giggled some more as a bit of ink landed on her nose. SOMUCHFUN!

Max laughed with her. "Yeah, these look like her favorite gobstones. You know that Macadrian has lost her marbles," he smirked and leaned forward to whisper into Bunbury's ear. "Swiped 'em off her desk a few weeks ago. She hasn't noticed." He then straightened up. "Get 'em. It's on me. Do 'ya see anything else?"

Dominic blinked as the flying professor then when on about how he was 'hounding' him to read something. Oh of course he was running some important errands, as was he ever NOT? This was just so ugh, unfair and to punish his house MORE? That was outright rude, if you asked his opinion, but of course he would not. Vindictus was a professor, who basically just proved his point. The point that he had been reluctant to face.

Shaking his head, as Vindictus redirected his attention to Bunbury, showing her of exploding gobstones, Dominic sighed in attempt to think of response to that. Unfortunately though, he felt fingers on his robes. Fingers that were wiping INK on his precious and clean robes! Ugh.

Oh. Give Shackleton exploding gobstones? Just what she would need... Or not.

"Scourgify," the fifth year murmured, withdrawing and pointing his wand at his robes in one fluid motion where Bunbury had wiped ink on them. Noting the ink in her hair and her eyebrows, albeit tempted to laugh, he knew it to be probably improper of him to do so. "Professor? Did you want me to clean the ink from your hair and fingers as well?" he offered, before turning his attention back to Max. Yes. That was proper course to ask first before charming someone.

"My apologies for not realizing how very much more busy you are than I imagined, Professor Vindictus," Dom apologized. "But well, perhaps we could schedule a time to meet then as to when might be more convenient?"

"Perhaps after finals, Denton," Max said and selected a few more magical items that he wished to buy. "You know how important it is to study and I can't study if I have to proof-read your assignments. Do you know how tiresome it is having to tutor the members of Hufflepuff house?" He rolled his eyes at Dominic. "Not to mention practices and then the time lost due to games. Time is a precious commodity of mine and I hate wasting it."

Anastasia burst into giggles at mention of Mac losing her marbles. Teeeheheehee it was so true, too. And Maxxie was good at being sneaky, apparently.

"Hmm no, I can't see anything else to buy..." Anastasia lightly tapped her pocket with the funky tool mabob inside. "But I...I have ink on me?"

She turned towards Dominic and tugged at his sleeve, successfully smearing more dark ink on the boy. "Getriddait, pleeeeez," tug tug fingerprintsmear tug tug. "I dun wanna hafta buy a new school uniform..."

Oh! Max thought that this thing to read was one of his assignments!? Well, it was sort of one of his assignments, but perhaps some sort of miscommunication was made since this was NOT at all for one of his classes. It wasn't tutoring at all, so what was he about? Of course; members of Hufflepuff House were a threat to the house that he headed up, which was reason for his giving him a hard time. It all made sense now.

"Professor," Dom said, sighing as he theatrically picked up a sneakoscope to inspect it. "I understand the need that time is precious of yours, but I believe you misunderstood. This, well, assignment of mine isn't for a class at all. It's a ..." his eyes glanced around the shop nervously, as he set the scope back on the shelf. Lowering his voice, he continued, "It's a poem, that I wrote at the welcoming feast, which I have been sharing with all the Professors, in brief because, as you said, time is of essence to not just you." Shrugging quietly, he turned back towards the ink covered redhead.

"All over," he muttered, nodding at once at her request to rid her robes and such of the ink. "Scourgify," Dom said clearly, waving his wand over her hair and face and robes, vanishing the ink at once. "All set there, Professor." Giving her the smallest of smiles, he waved his wand once more over his sleeve where she'd smeared more ink before pocketing his little stick again.
