'Eep!' She heard a loud *POP* and felt a large Lethifold wrap itself around her neck and torso. 'Don't exhale, don't exhale, don't exhale...' If it was anything like a python, Freya didn't want to breath out because then she couldn't be able to take any oxygen in again. Keep calm, and reserve oxygen. She had managed to force her left hand upward and partially underneath the Lethifold in order to give her neck a bit more room. Freya would rather suffer from a broken wrist or arm than a crushed windpipe. Ouch. 'Happy thought...happy thought...' All she could think about for a while was how bad she wanted to completely destroy the creature that was trying to squeeze her to death. Finally, after what seemed like an entire two minutes, Freya summoned her favorite and most precious memory. "Expecto Patronum!" She directed her wand up towards the Lethifold with her right hand, and felt a recoil as her massive crocodile appeared again with a sound that was similar to a muffled cannon blast. Freya's crocodile emerged and began to snap it's jaws and twist itself around as it charged the Lethifold. |

He quickly faced the lethifold but was out-balanced. He fell on his butt on the floor, his eyes wide-open. He was about to yell for help and send sparks unto the sky but he hesitated. The memory, the happiest memory he have was very vivid within him. He pointed the wand towards the lethifold and yelled with conviction and thoughts into the memory of his first broom ride. "EXPECTO PATRONUM" In a moment a silver eagle came rushing towards the lethifold. As the eagle flew towards the lethifold he managed to stand and strengthen his grounds. |

What little strength her little body had was seeping away fast and she couldn't get it off. Her arms grew heavy as she was about to suffocate. She couldn't struggle anymore and soon she stopped moving as the last of her air was sucked into her her lungs. |

While his heart was filled with hope and love, there was another emotion on the positive spectrum that was ignored. Between the blue and violet lights that burned within him, there was a indigo glow that flickered to life. Compassion. The compulsion to put the safety of others over your own. Where greed took selfishly, compassion gave willingly, without looking for reward. What better gift than life? While the after life was still hotly debated among the students of Hogwarts, the pegasus patronus almost seemed proof in angels. Feathery wings stretched skyward, and then quickly stroked backwards, propelling the steed away from its caster and towards the Greenwood girl. Enveloping the girl and the lethifold in its shining wings, the winged horse kicked and bit at the shadowy monster. Vexed by the shadowy evil, the light of good tried to pierce the darkness. |
Clifford fighting against a lethifold probably wasn't the best of ideas. Not at all. He'd had enough trouble fighting against a BOGGART let alone carnivourous demons that liked to munch on little boys like him for DINNER! Oh Merlin, this was it. He was going to die. Right here in this classroom. He knew that as he watched his classmates struggling with the lethifold. That thing gave him the MAJOR CREEPS! And he could barely master his patronus either. He was DOOMED! He was going to die at the sad age of seventeen.. he hadn't even tried Firewhiskey yet! What a cruel world it was! Panicking, Clifford gripped his wand tight and waited. EEEEEEK!!! |

Ana was feeling the pressure. She could feel the fear in the air.. With her hand firmly in her wand Ana slowly walked in the room turning and looking to every angle and place. Suddenly cold... despair...fear... sadness... Ana froze. She felt it but she couldn't see it. And the next moment she felt a strange touch in her heels and fell. Panic! All that she could feel was panic. Her wand had fall from her hand and was too far away. But she would not give up. Ana kicked the strongest she could, trying to reach the wand. With the lethifold pushing her, Ana crawled and was able in the last tentative to catch it, before the lethifold pushed her far away from where the wand had fall. With a fast turning movement she pointed the wand to the lethifold and remembering her happiest memory she yelled "Expecto Patronum!" a beautiful lion appeared and ran to the lethifold. |

He strode over to Greenwood and cast his patronus again, sending the lethifold off her. "Good try, Greenwood. Keep practicing this charm; I believe you will get it soon." |

It swayed back and forth, like a cobra preparing to strike. One...two... THREE! YAAAARRRR!!!! It attacked, trying to slink around to Clifford's nostrils and mouth. Oh... how it wanted to smothersmothersmothersmother! Quote:
The silvery owl smacked into the lethifold, the bright light sending it off into the dark shadows. It slid around, trying to find another place to re-attack. The owl was vigilant, however, keeping the lethifold at bay. It finally retreated; there were easier victims in this class. |

"AAAHHH!" The Prefect shrieked, completely and utterly horrifed at what was happening. He was so horrified he forgot all about casting his pathetic excuse of a patronus and flailed around when he suddenly it became harder to breathe. He felt.. like he was suffocating. This was it. The end. Seventeen years and this was what it all came down to. THIS! "GERROF ME! GERROF ME!" He wasted the last of the air in his lungs to shriek like the big girl he was. What a genius. Feeling weaker then he'd ever felt, Clifford fell to his knees and tried to PULL the thing off his face.. from blocking his airways. That was the only way he'd live. Forget the stoopid patronus he just wanted to breathe! |

The lethifold shrank away as the bear ambled toward it, scurrying away as the big bear attacked. Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! It hurried back into the safety of the trunks. If it had a tail, it would have been holding it between its legs. If it had legs, of course. |

One by one, his qilin patronus began to herd up the lethifolds, peeling t hem off any remaining students and returning them to the trunks "Before finals, I expect everyone who did not successfully cast the patronus and beat the lethifold to practice this charm extensively, for you will need it. Also, in order to pass my class you will need to successfully complete the final... and live to tell the tale." He smirked. "Unless there are any questions, class is dismissed." |

They had to practice it. Great. |

"for everything, sir." she finished quietly, lifting her chin and straightening as tall as she could while she met his eyes. "So, thank you. I have learned alot I think." |

Rising to his feet, his hair was a golden flame as his eyes stared blue ice into the professors face. "I was sent here as an ambassador of peace!" Marching up to Kaz, the boy stood toe to toe with the professor. "YOU are punishing ME for saving somebodys life!? Are you mad? If selflessness is a crime, I suggest you lock me in the dungeon." The attitude came from a brash young boy, but the heart of his words came from the wise man he could grow up to be. Before walking behind the line, the boy lifted his chin less from arrogance, and more from defiance. The patronus does not come from the wand, but from the heart. The ways of this realm were not his own, there was sure to be friction. Culture shock. |

She felt disgusted with herself. She had totally just shut down and didn't even try to cast her patronus. She wiped the tears that were falling off her face as she gathered up her things. |

"Perhaps I will do just that Professor" she said still glowing in his praise. "Oh and thank you for the five points." |
Cedric copied some notes and he was ready to leave..."Professor..thanks.."Cedric said..he was happy because he learn the patronus charm because of his beloved Professor Kazimeriz.. |
Picking up his things, Raiden paused in front of Professor Kazimeriz and bowed his head. "Thank you for the wonderful classes sir... They're kinda scary, but I've learned a lot." He smiled at the older man and slung his bag over his shoulder, tipping slightly off-balance with the weight. "I guess not too many people could say they faced a lethifold when they were 13 years old... and lived to tell the tale, right? Well, not a lot of people up until now." He bowed his head again in gratitude. Odd professor, but... he got his points across in his classes, didn't he... |
