Qaz knew that it was wise to keep and eye on Tobi. After all, she had inflected a bit of pain on his backside out on the pitch. Making sure that her shield was at full strength, she watched as his curse bounced off...

'You'll have to do better than that to pay me back for your sore bum. Still hurt, does it?' she said, egging him on a bit. She rather enjoying taunting him, as she knew that her shield would hold, and it certainly was better than casting curses...that was really bad Karma.

Oh. The babbling had been kind of fun. Celandine smiled brightly at Tobi and attempted to ignore the fact that yes, she had just lost ten points.

Which...

...made her a bad Ravenclaw again.

She stifled a sigh and stood up straight while she watched Professor Kazimeriz. Cela had finished her worksheet already so it was a matter of waiting for the homework to be assigned so she could earn her points back.

"Oh, right away!" Huffed Daphne putting her wand away and scuttling between the casualties (accidentally stepping on someone's finger), towards her desk. Picking up a a self-inking quill she hurriedly filled out her worksheet.

"Here you go, sir," quipped the blond cautiously extending her arm towards the Professor.

Please don't hex me. Please don't jynx me. Please don't curse me.

Lyra placed her wand back into the inside pocket of her robes. That was fun but like she was going to admit it, especially being in Kazimeriz' class. It was quite funny how everyone ganged up on Cela since she attacked everyone when it was their turn, but it was funny to watch the silly girl move. She was great entertainment and Lyra liked her.

Lasca's eyes widened in surprise as an older girl took aim at her. Instinct took over and she all but shouted, "Protego!" Her concentration was sketchy but the sheild held and bounced the spell away from her.

The young Ravenclaw lowered her wand with a sigh of relief. This class was just too stressful! Looking down at her parchment she made sure she had filled out the required worksheet and then sat back down. She kept a wary eye on the girl that had shot the spell at her. Vigilance was key after all.

William shuffled to his desk and, having already completed the worksheet earlier waited for the professor to take it from him. He gulped though, knowing he'd have to apologize to his friend later for what he had done. He was ready to leave; the place still creeping him out, let alone the professor himself.

Having finished filling out her worksheet, Kayla made her up to the fron and placed it onto Professor Kazimeriz's desk.

"Let us talk a little bit about a final topic, before I assign homework. Miss Toussaint, as you may have noticed, was one of the students here who was a victim of assaults from multiple, simultaneous attackers. This pack technique, essentially 'ganging up' on a victim, is often used to great advantage by dark artists. In the real world, they will not come to you one by one, bow and then take turns with you, attacking. A real world attack is brutal, harsh experience and it is my duty to prepare you for it." He paused, assessing the room. "I require three competent volunteers."

Tobi had already finished his worksheet, though he could certainly add more experience with curses now. So he raised his hand to volunteer instead. Wait why am i doing this? "I'll volunteer professor." NOOOO!

William blinked at the professor's statement. It was true though; from what he had read in the history text, most dark wizard formed groups, attacking at will with no qualms. As the professor asked for three competent volunteers he almost raised his hand. It was half way up before he dropped it, knowing what was in store for them couldn't be good. It was rare for a single dark wizard to attack a single victim.

Cela raised her hand to volunteer. Had she been allowed to continue as she had been, Cela wouldn't have been hit at all. And in a real attack, she wouldn't have lost points for it. Rather than get angry or upset about it, it made Cela more determined to impress Professor Kazimeriz. She hoped he thought she was a 'competent' volunteer.

Daphne wondered how wise it was to stand next to Tobias Avalon, Danger Magnet. Daphne chewed on her lip pondering this and Kazimeriz words about how ganging up was something dark artists relied on when attacking. Did that make them all possible dark wizards? Sweeping her foot across the floor, Daphne tried not to attract too much attention to herself.

As much as she loved participating in class, there was no way she was volunteering to be hit with curses. I mean, that's what he wanted--right? No. Not happening.

And her becoming invisible plan was out the window. Daphne mouthed things at Tobi like: 'Are you crazy?' 'Do you want to die?' and 'Don't expect me to go to your funeral' before turning her face away from him and holding her breath.

Kayla raised her hand, "I'll volunteer sir."

Herminny raised her hand and said, "I'll volunteer, I am up for anything".

Lyra kept her hand down and wondered why in the world the same people kept volunteering to be cursed in front of everyone. She was not willing to do such things and a gasping surprise crossed her face as she heard Tobi nominate himself for human bait.

Dominic listened as the Professor spoke; well it seemed the three people had already volunteered, but what the canaries could hurt if he too raised his hand? After all, Professor KraziKaz had said said competent volunteers. Hand in the air, the fifth year piped up, "I'd like to help, Professor" Maybe. Or maybe he just walked into his death.

Lasca hesitated but in the end raised her hand.

Have you ever let your conciousness drift in the middle of a lecture? The world was a babble while one dreamed with their eyes wide open. If only we could bottle that moment. A world all your own. Pure imagination.

But this journey was short lived. Helios was pulled back to what passed as reality as the professor spoke. It was as if the boy could smell danger. Even though his hair glowed of a golden sun, his heart beat to a darker drum.

Tobi was now faced with an interesting dilemma, run screaming from the room, thereby implying a retraction of his offer to volunteer in whatever human experiments Professor Scary Man was conducting, or stay and perhaps gain back the 5 points he had lost...

To flee, or not to flee: that is the question:

Tobi mused this thought but went nowhere, mostly because he was stuck in Tobi-land.

Daniel raised his hands, "Sir please. I wanted to volunteer." Daniel raised his hands high so the Professor can see.

Jack stared at the boy, was he telling Jack what to do? Oh no he di-nt. Jack then smiled "Thanks"

Jack looked up at Kazimoaner and breathed deeply 'Stupid idiot, I lose points for standing up for myself' Jack thought bitterly, staying in his seat.

Bonnie didn't want to lose her house anymore points OR receive a letter from home about it so she played it safe and stayed rooted in her seat. She wasn't even sure if she was competant enough anyway.

Qaz wasn't about to volunteer. There were too many negative things happening in this class. She was sure that her Shaman wouldn't approve....or would he. She was a firm believer in positive energy, but there were probably times when you had to embrace the negative.

Jake raised his hand. "Please, Professor Kazimeriz, I'll volunteer again!"

He hadn't had much chance to get action in earlier, after being put in a body bind whilst he had been blast by Impedimenta with his wand halfway across the room and no way to defend himself. But others had already volunteered. Sigh, he'd missed the chance to get the Ravenclaws and Slytherins, trying to find his wand.

Varius had been very quiet for this segment of the lesson - he was rather scared, to be honest. Students attacking students and their Professor encouraging them - goodness! He decided it was time for him to pluck up some courage and raised his hand, volunteering for the final part of the lesson.
