| connoisseur of comfort ❅ Crayola's Wibby Mrs Alex Turner ❅ Netflix and meow If he got up and left before the Headmistress had even done her whole speech thingy would he get in trouble? Clifford wasn't entirely sure - but he sure as heck couldn't stand sitting here any longer.
He felt sick.
Whether that was down to too much food ... or the sight before him, he wasn't sure of either. Ack. He wasn't sure of anything. He was just stoopid, dumb Clifford Carden. Evangeline's ... friend.
Evangeline that was headed right his way it seemed. Heh? Was she coming over to tell him not to look so miserable because he was embarrassing her again?
Apparently not. She just wanted him to go with her.
Bleh. He couldn't eat that icky cake anyway, so swinging his legs over the bench, Clifford got unsteadily to his feet and followed Evangeline to a less popular area near the end of the table. "What's up?" He asked quietly, looking down at his feet and shoving his hands deep in his pockets.

Miles laughed. "But now you're an expert huh?" He smirked, of course she was. She was surrounded by them. Her mum was so adorable, bless her. She looked over at Reese when Miles spoke to her. "Hey Reese," She smiled a little, remembering what had happened at her party over the summer but she wouldn't get jealous. That would just be wrong.

"What's up?" He asked quietly, looking down at his feet and shoving his hands deep in his pockets. Clifford had followed her - that at least, was something good. At least, she thought so. If he had agreed to come here with her, that meant he wasn't that mad at her or upset or whatever. Right? She liked to think so. It meant that he was willing to let her explain herself, like he had promised he always would.
Like she believed he would.
She looked up at him but quickly looked back down at her shiny shoes when she noticed he wasn't looking at her either. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I ..." She sighed and tug her lower lip, not know what else to say. She really was sorry, and she knew exactly why she hadn't introduced him as her boyfriend ... but wasn't sure if this was the best place to tell him.
"You're sad with me. Or upset. Or probably both. And I ... I understand if you want go to and you want me to leave you alone." If it made him happy, she'd leave him alone for how much time he wanted. Even if it would mean she'd be depressed. "Please just know I'm sorry." |

The stuff Vannie was coming up with sounded ridiculous. See dee's with music on them? Mad, it all was. "Comapct discs? Wow. Muggles come up with the weirdest things." Miles chuckled lightly. The though of having music on a 'compact disc', wasn't a disc the shape of a frizbee? How could you put music on that? Miles couldn't wrap his head arouns it. He would believe it when he saw it.
"I wish I could say the same to you about my dad." He looked at the floor. His dad knew nothing about Vannie, Miles had to make sure he didn't say anything that might imply he had a girlfriend. It's not like datig was off limits, it was the fact that she was halfblood. Vincent Parker did not find muggles fascinating. Miles laughed again. "I think she may need to give me them too." He smiled, and as she leaned onto his shoulder, he began to stroke her hair. |

It seemed Clifford had taken quite a liking to admiring his shoes lately, and his eyes remained focused on them as Evangeline began talking. As she began apologising actually. Aaaah! He didn't want her to apologise! He hated it when she said she was sorry! "Sad and upset are kinda the same thing aren't they?" He asked, his head tilting to one side as finally he tore his eyes away from his scuffed up shoes to look up at her. He wasn't sad or upset at her though. Just a little ... disappointed? Confused?
Bleh. Feelings like these totally sucked whatever they were. "Look, you did nothing wrong. So stop saying sorry." He sighed, giving his shoulders a shrug. "I don't want to go.. and I don't want you to leave me alone." He confessed, brow furrowing. It was easier to talk now they were at the quiter end of the table ... and she didn't have a bazillion guys surrounding and oggling at her. Hmpf.
"But I understand that you have stuff to do.. and that I probably get in the way.." He didn't understand much.. but this he really did. She was a Prefect now!

"But I understand that you have stuff to do.. and that I probably get in the way.." He didn't understand much.. but this he really did. She was a Prefect now! "I suppose they are the same thing, yes." Evangeline breathed out quietly, leaning her back against the column that was hiding them from the noisy students eager for gossip. The next morning's news wouldn't be how the new Slytherin Prefect had a row with her boyfriend right in the middle of the beginning of the feast term. Not if she could help it.
Feeling his gaze on her, she made sure to wipe all traces of sadness and such before lifting her own head and looking at him. This feast wasn't meant to be this way. Whether he was sad or upset or any other thing, really, it just shouldn't be like this. They ought to be happy, grinning and smiling and chuckling. Not feeling miserable.
She nodded half-heartedly when he told her not to apologise because she had done nothing wrong. Eh. Of course she had! She had introduced him to Seth as her friend, and although Clifford was her friend, he was more than her friend, too. "You know I messed up." She mumbled, entwining her hands behind her back, her teeth still tugging at her lower lip.
She had stuff to do ... and he got on the way.
What?
Evangeline blinked at his words and shook her head, trying not to oggle at him. How could he think that? She had thought that perhaps he was thinking she didn't care for him as much, or something. But that he'd get on the way? "No. Never." She told him, honesty ringing in her words. "You'd never get in the way .. even if I was busy now." Which she wasn't. Apart from the food fight incident, this feast had been pretty calm Prefect-wise. |

Clifford couldn't really disagree when Evangeline admitted that she'd messed up and he gave a rather half-hearted shrug. Okay, so he couldn't really deny that what she'd said to that Paton guy had kinda cut him deep. Really, how would she feel if he'd introduced her to some girl as his ... friend?
Eh. Then again, maybe it wouldn't even bother her. Perhaps this was all just his fault for being overly sensitive. That's right - all this was probably his own doing. Like usual he'd gone and messed everything riiiiight up.
Stupid Clifford. "I guess I was just silly to let it bother me quite so much." He mumbled, shuffling his feet and rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. Gah! He was rubbish about talking about this sorta ... stuff. "I mean, if telling people I'm your boyfriend makes you feel uncomfortable or whatever, then fair enough." You'd think after five years she'd be used to it, but he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. He'd just deal with it.
He couldn't help but grimace slightly when she then went on to say that he never got in her way. Not even if she was busy. And to a certain extent - he believed her. "I'm sorry.. Hogwarts RPG Name: Lauren Kaiser First Year | "I can do this," Lauren said in her head
Lauren slowly walked to the Slytherin table and sat down. She glanced nervously around the Great Hall. There were so many students, who seemed to be excitied and happy to be here. Lauren frowned slighlty. She didn't seem as excitied, she was actually nervous.
She didn't notice how thirsty she was until now. Lauren grabbed her glass and took a few sips. Lauren looked at the food and then down at her empty plate. Lauren did not feel like eating, she was too nervous. She almost felt sick.
Lauren got nervous sometimes but not this nervous. Although she had an exception, she was starting school at Hogwarts. Lauren stared at the table and began to think about the days to come. She wondered if she would be happy and if she would make it past the first month.

She looks like she's about to be sick. Mandy took a sip of water before speaking to the girl. "You know, the food is actually better if you eat it. You can't really taste it much if you just stare at it." Mandy said, smiling.

The corners of his rosy lips curved into a shy smile.
Evangeline gave one rather fierce tug at her lower lip when she noticed the way Clifford shrugged when she claimed she had messed up. That obviously meant he knew it was true - it was true that she had messed things up, and that was why they were here now. Because she was trying to make things better. "It wasn't silly, Clifford. I would've been pretty upset if it had been the other way around." She confessed with a sigh, her twinkly blue eyes looking straight into his brown ones. She didn't think that telling him the true reason behind her introduction there was the best idea, but at his next words, she shook her head yet again. Now he thought she didn't feel comfortable calling him her boyfriend? Telling people he was her boyfriend? EEP! It had nothing to do with that.
Eh. She'd just tell him the true. "It's not that.." She started in a whisper, dreading the fact that anyone could approach them and listen to their conversation. What she had to say were for Clifford's and Clifford's ears only. "It's just that in my mind .. Clifford and boyfriend don't go well together. Cause you're soo much more than just my boyfriend." Perhaps telling him exactly how much was just too much and she smiled sheepishly at him, hoping the darkness would hide her pink cheeks. "You shouldn't apologise either.." Evangeline mumbled, knitting her eyebrows together at his words about being used to having Evangeline all to himself. She had thought it had been something like this, but still, it was weird. She didn't think she treated Clifford any differently not - nor that she paid him less attention. "You don't have to learn how to share me." She told him as her lips curling up in a soft smile and her hand moved to brush against his. "Sure, this Prefect person might have to look out and be available for all Slytherin's .. but Evie, she's still only yours." She'd always be only his. |

Lauren closed her mouth. She was babbling again.
"Sorry, sometimes I talk too much," Lauren said, "I'm Lauren by the way." Yep, this girl was definatly nervous. She couldn't stop talking! Mandy blinked. "Well, it gets better. All first years nervous from what I've observed-but then classes start and you have other things to worry about than how nervous you are. I'm Mandy by the way." Mandy smiled at the girl and took a few more bites of food. She was getting full-but the food was so good.
She thought back to her own first year, how it was. It wasn't bad, but then she had Amanda to guide her. Now she was alone-except for the few friends she made during the summer. In fact, she was feeling worse this year than she did her first.

Whatever he'd mentally been trying to prepare himself for, it certainly wasn't this. Evangeline's ... confessions? They seemed like confessions.
She confessed that had it been the other way around, she would've been kinda upset too. Her words made him feel a teeny, ickle bit better and he simply nodded. So he wasn't just an over-sensitive fool. That was good to know at least.
But that wasn't all the confessions. Oh no, they kept coming. Clifford and boyfriend didn't go well together? Because he was so much more than just her boyfriend? Did she really just admit that out loud? Out loud and right to his face? EEP!
Her words caused a rather deep flush to creep up his neck, leaving his cheeks and the tips of his ears burning. Ack! He didn't care if the whole Great Hall caught him blushing like whoa.. Evangeline's words had left him feeling so ... light! Like a great weight had just come right of his shoulders. So ... he didn't make her feel uncomfortable after all?! Stupid paranoid mind jumping to the worst conclusions.
When he felt her fingertips brush lightly across the back of his hand, he moved it from his pocket in order to catch hers. "I know, I know." He admitted sheepishly when she reassured him that Evie was still only his. "But Prefect Green and Evie are the same person, silly." She was smart.. surely she knew that much. It wasn't like she had a twin, or a clone or something. "It's just ... well, I know how much this Prefect thing means to you.." Hah! He'd known how much it meant as soon as she'd squealed the news at him. It wasn't hard to see that she was ecstatic. ".. and I mean.. I understand that you're gonna be busy and whatever.. I appreciate that."
Gaah. This talking thing was pretty hard.

Gaah. This talking thing was pretty hard. It was funny how things you had planned changed like that. Evangeline had never planned to tell Clifford how much he meant to her, yet she had basically just told him. In the middle of the Great Hall, resulting in copious amounts of blushing by both of him.
But this time he had actually gotten hold of her hand and Evangeline felt herself relax and let out a small breath she hadn't even realised she had been holding. Okay - things seemed a lot better right now. Much better, actually, and Evangeline kept the smile on her face, slowly extending it to her eyes.
"They are the same person." She agreed with a nod, her hand still cosily inside of his. Bleh - she knew that no matter was happening, she'd always have time for Clifford. Always. "But I know things will come down soon enough .. and then Prefect Green will only make occasional appearances." Even if things didn't slow down, she'd always have time for him. Even if she had to skip sleep.
She shrugged when he mentioned how much she loved this badge - it was true, but she loved him more. If he asked her, she'd probably give up her badge. She'd hate it, and probably use it against him in a not so nice time, but she'd do it if it meant alot to him. Still, she didn't say it out loud. Just incase he liked the idea. Eh. "I might be busy, yes. But I do promise I'll find time for you." |

"Nope, I was JUST leaving," he said with a smile, turning on his heel and glaring at Nico. "You'd best keep your hands off of me, Toussaint, no matter how appealing the idea of causing me bodily harm may be," he added with a smirk. Bwahaha. He was still a prefect and he still couldn't touch him no matter how badly he wanted to.
"Well, enjoy your meal," he told them both with the fakest of smiles before turning and leaving the table for good. "You know? I'm enjoying it more and more." Nicholai responded amiably, taking a sip of water. Oh well he had been nice...for a moment. He'd try harder next time. Maybe. Quote:

She was sure of little in that moment.
She mildly wondered who this Kitten Nicholai had mentioned to Seth and that wouldn't like him using his wand on Cale. Eh. Probably that little Prefect girlfriend of his, Anna or something.
Her lips, she hoped, curled up in a smile and not in a grimace when he said it was nice to meet her and she nodded, letting him know she thought the same. Really, she wasn't in a talkative mood. At all. But his next words did made her snort and shook her head. "It's just my first day in the job. I wouldn't go as far as calling the students my adoring masses." Really, she'd be surprised if she could ever call them that. Eh. "So I think Evangeline is enough."
Following his gaze, her blue eyes found Clifford and she blushed, noticing he was looking that way. Aah, not good. Unsure of what to do, she smiled weakly at him and bit her lip.
She really should be there.
Cale's annoying voice pushed her away from thoughts of Clifford and she narrowed her eyes. Cale Newel? Friends? At the Slytherin table? Snort. Yeah, right. Next, he'd be saying he was the new Potions teacher. Hah. "Don't worry about Nicholai. Slytherin's know better than to get their hands dirty." She said with the sweetest voice she had, a smirk making its way to her lips. Ack. Letting her frustration out on Cale really would have been nice.
When he finally left, she hmpf'ed and turned back to the table, sneaking a peek in Clifford's direction.
"Excuse me, I'll be back in a second." She said to Nicholai, excusing her herself and standing up to make her way to Clifford. Aaah. She should've stayed there - this wasn't going to be good. No, sir. Nicholai smirked.
"Oh I can see at least one person at this table who could be considered adoring." Clifford was fairly transparent. Despite the bowl incident the previous term and the heart-on-sleeve nature of the other boy, Nico thought he was alright.
Nicholai nodded at her rejoinder to Cale and examined his perfectly clean nails before smiling brightly at Cale, watching in satisfaction as he left.
"Cale. Newell. Always. Shows. Up." Nico spoke under his breath.
"No problem, duty calls." Nicholai nodded once at Evangeline and once in the direction of Clifford. Quote:

He would believe it when he saw it.
"I wish I could say the same to you about my dad." He looked at the floor. His dad knew nothing about Vannie, Miles had to make sure he didn't say anything that might imply he had a girlfriend. It's not like datig was off limits, it was the fact that she was halfblood. Vincent Parker did not find muggles fascinating. Miles laughed again. "I think she may need to give me them too." He smiled, and as she leaned onto his shoulder, he began to stroke her hair. Vannie giggled as she looked up at him. "Yup," She nodded, thinking back at the random ones she had at home. He was quite true about the wierdest thing, although she could have taken it the wrong way she didn't. But the CD's were quite origonal. "I Should get you one for your birthday," She stuck her tongue out at him. If she got him a CD she'd probably have to show him how to use it.
Vannie kind of understood why Miles' dad could never find out about them, she didn't want to get him into trouble. But she didn't really get why his dad shouldn't like her. Weren't people all the same? She wouldn't question it though. She knew that it was probably hard for Miles. "Its okay Miles," She smiled reassuringly as she squeezed his hand. "I understand," She added, hoping that he was okay about it.
"She should when you come to look at those muggle things," She giggled. It would be funny to watch Miles attempt to look after plants. "But I bet your not as bad as I was." Quote:

Miles nodded. "Yeah. But the train back is ages away, right now we've got a whole term ahead of us." He grinned. It wasn't like last year, he would actually be able to see all of his female friends. Miles laughed, Mr Parker. How sweet of her. "I wasn't hising from you. I never would." He said sweetly, but laughe inbetween. Mr Parker, that was his dad. Haha.
"You know them too?" Miles' eyes widedened slightly. Did everyone know about See dee's apart from him? They sounded really weird. Quote:

He thought about these compact disc things, they sounded pretty complicared to him. "Soo .. what do I do with it?" He asked stupidly, it was probobly pretty obvious. But not pureblood Miles. Frizbee shaped, plays music ... Hmmm. "Do I throw it? And when I do, it plays music?" He asked stupidly again. He felt so blank when it came to muggles.
Miles sighed. The way his dad reacted towards muggle borns was ridiculous, compared to Miles. With muggles, he just got by. But muggle borns ... he just didn't like them. Miles had no idea why. "Well, one day, he'll have to know, and get used to it." He shrugged, not really caring he he gets an appproval from his father or not. "I be I am." He smirked, Sylvia was a proper little gardner, she wouldn't let him even touch her roses. |

She'd never seen anyone try to throw a CD around but it would be interesting to see. "Noooo," She shook her head but smiled. "You put the CD into the CD machine player thingy and it plays the music," She added, trying to make it understandable. "Although you could throw them around but it might break them." That would be something that her sister's would, they might have already done it to be honest. "It's easier to understand when you see it."
She smiled at what he said. His father would have to know and get used to it. That made her feel really special. It sounded like he wanted to be with her, even though she was halfblood and it meant going against his fathers ways. "I love you," She whispered quietly, the only words which she thought would be fitting.
"I can help you too," She smirked, then he'd be super good at gardening right?

Jude looked around from his seat, not recognizing anyone near him, and sighed. The school was everything Marty said it would be and more, but the people so far weren't. Marty had told him about these wonderful people who were constantly laughing and talking to you and making new friends every second of every day. But so far, he'd only made a small few friends, and hadn't seen any of the friends he had before Hogwarts, like Aly.
He decided he wanted to find her and see how she was liking Hogwarts, so he got up and started in the direction of the Huffie table, knowing she would've been sorted there, since she was always so kind and caring to everyone.

What happened to the boy she had met in Diagon Alley? She shook her head, letting the thought fleet her mind. She? Well, looks like he had already begun rounding up young fan girls. A laugh erupted out of her mouth, yet she hadn't been able to stop it. What a shame. Kiera's eyes then flicked away from Samuel's chiselled face, and back to the table in front of her. "That's fabulous," she said, in a normal tone, if you could call it normal. "And how did she help you with that sea sickness feeling?" She asked, an eyebrow raised and a smirk emitting at the side of her pale lips. It's not like she cared, it was just a question, what else was she supposed to say?
With a wrinkle of her nose, she flicked stray stands from her eyes. Kiera loved her hair, obviously, although not when it decided to fall in front of her eyes blocking her view. Then again, there wasn't much interesting around for her to look at. Well, there was one thing. Samuel, looking up from the remains of the roll, gazed at her, then reached out to her fingertips, "I'm a vegitarian." He said softly, as if it was all that was annoying him. Although it did soothe him slightly just to feel her soft skin against his. "There's too much meat about for my liking." He let go of her fingers and returned to looking out of the stained glass windows above him. "Oh, she just distracted me, though it did take a bit of time. I think you'd have done it better." He purred, still not looking at her, although it pained him to do so. He gently brushed some of his tawny hair out of his eyes, then allowed himself a quick glance. He really had missed her on the train, but he wasn't going to tell her that... Yet at least. "Are you alright?" He asked softly, notcing a change on her face for a few moments. Her perfect face had just taken on a sour hint for a minute. He looked from her, to around the table. When was this 'Start Of Term' feast going to end?

As she saw the way Clifford's cheeks were glowing even in the semi-darkness that surrounded them, Evangeline's smile seemed to turn even softer and she thanked herself for remembering to come to this more reserved place. She knew he absolutely despised the idea of anyone seeing him blush, and she couldn't blame him, really. It was pretty embarrassing.
And incase any stalkers showed up, she could always threaten to take points away. Mwahahaha. "I won't exhaust myself." She chuckled, even though she knew she would do it if she had to. She needed Clifford just as much as he needed her, so she'd do everything on her power to at least see him every day. Yup. "Slytherin needs a happy and focused Prefect. And I'm only happy if I see you." She grinned widely giving his hand a small squeeze, her eyes absent mindedly moving to the point glasses.
Oh no.
Her eyes widened when she noticed the emeralds ... Slytherin had lost points. Gah! "Already?!" She mumbled, turning around a bit to look at the Slytherin table. Eh. Everything seemed calm there! |
