Raiden giggled. Celandine was certainly a very interesting new friend. She had gotten him to completely forget the earlier debacle, something that he had been sure would stick in his mind for days to come. He listened closely as she listed off all the things she wanted to do. And it was then that he felt the kitten, who had long been sleeping inside his robes, stir and wriggle a bit. He had been very careful about not bumping into things, or jostling Roscoe, who was sleeping in an inside pocket that Raiden's mother, Sun, had sewn in for especially for him. Raiden slid his school robe off and laid it over his lap, reaching carefully in to remove the stretching, yawning kitten.

"Roscoe," he said softly, smiling as he petted the kitten. "Go back to sleep... I know it's loud, but we can't have you getting fur in anyone's food..."

The little creature stretched and yawned on his lap, then looked around and let out a tiny meow, almost sounding surprised. Raiden laughed and scratched the tiny furball's ears.

"Clifford's afraid of girls?" he repeated. "Is that why he and Evangeline Green didn't seem happy with each other earlier?"


Raiden was suddenly confused. What did they mean, Hogwarts wasn't open last year? Boys schools and girls schools? What?

"You mean... they separated everyone?" he asked softly, looking at Barry and Celandine. "But... but what about people who were friends, that wouldn't have been very nice...And what about you, Celandine, and your brother? Didn't you get to see each other?"

Meredith looked at the cute little cat on Raidens lap who was just waking up. "Your cat is cute!" she said and continued watching the kitten, who was now meowing softly.
She didn't know about the different schools herself, only having heard a little about it from some older students. "I don't know what exactly happened, but I think the school split up in two schools, one for boys and one for girls..". It seemed horrible to her, and she thought she remembered vaguely someone saying the girls school was with a lot and flowers and girlish..

Rian nodded excitedly, then blushed slightly. "Yea, I am definately exited to be back at Hogwarts," she said cheerfully. "Classes? Eh, maybe not," she added with a wink.

Edie twirled a strand of her hair around her finger.

"I don't like curses especially Crucio. I know The Killing Curse is worse but it's painless compared to Crucio," she said.

Listening to Rian and Melinda talking, Liz asks "Are either of you taking any new classes this term?

"It wasn't- so this is kind of my first year too. Last year I went to Belles." Cela made a face.
"Thats right!" Celandine agreed to the dormitories comment, "Barry can show us up to the common rooms since he's in the same house as we are."

Cela brightened even further when Meredith admitted she liked to read.
"Oh thats good! I like to read too! Anything! Everything! Even menus at restaurants and help wanted signs in shop windows! You really never know when you are going to learn something new and exciting."

The next question confused her slightly and Cela peeked at the owl cage under the table,
"I haven't got a clue!" She turned to Barry, "Do you know? Whether its a boy or a girl?" Cela adjusted the cloth covering the cage and straightened up.

"I'll see if Professor Brooks knows if you don't Barry and maybe she can help me name it!" Celandine liked the Care of Magical Creatures Professor- she had such fun classes.

"Arkarian is a really neat name." Celandine responded solemnly.

Raiden had an infectious giggle and Cela couldn't help but join in.
She let out a hushed sound of awe when she saw the kitten- it was almost but not quite as cute as Sheeta's kitten, Swirls.
"Roscoe is a cool name." Celandine stated, in the same solemn tone she had given her opinion on the name of Meredith's owl.

"I don't know." Cela shrugged, "They are Slytherins though. Slytherins are angsty." Cela peered over at the table and her eyes widened as she realised her brother now was talking to the pretty prefect. She didn't even click that she was talking to Raiden and Lucas either; so didn't think to clarify the angsty Slytherin comment.

"Well I guess they know each other now." Cela gestured at the table, then looked around her own table; wondering which of the girls her brother's age would end up on Nico's list.

"Some girls transfigured themselves into boys and snuck over." Celandine turned her attention back to the conversation, "The girls learned how to make our faces and our hair like boys, in Transfiguration class. I saw my brother a few times in Hogsmeade. Not every time though since he was always disappearing with some girl or another."

Barry said "Yeah your supposed to go to your common rooms slythrin common room is in the dungons I think " said Barry cheerfully to the boy. "Ours is off the seventh floor Even if we have different common rooms doesn`t mean we won`t see each other much" he added quickly "They`ll be classes the grounds and like Cela said the library which Celas very keen on seeing it a ravenclaw thing" then he said "Don`t forgot my birthdays not far. That reminds me Raiden if you want you can come to the party of couce I have to see with the groundskeeper where to have it. Cela after last term I just want to have fun" Barry smilled "Oh really I remember meeting Nico then he seemed very worried a bout the girls"

Barry listened to Raiden "Ah your freinds with Evangeline already? It took me a while but she is much nicer these days cause shes prefect"

Rian nodded at Liz. "Care of Magical Creatures, I think," she answered as she finished the food on her plate and took a drink from her pumpkin juice. "Are you?"

"I think I'm taking just about all of them, now." Liz says with a smile. They all looked so cool, I couldn't resist!" Liz giggles.

Meredith laughed. "I'm like that too, reading everything, also thinks like labels on food. I named my owl after a chracter in a book."
She didn't really bother about the Slytherin comment, she must be mainly talking about her brother..Siblings could be annoying.
Imagine having to transfigure yourself in a boy..That would also be very hard, apart from the fact that it sucked. Cela's brother seemed like a person who wasn't very nice, or maybe just very popular..
"How did you come up with the name Roscoe?" Meredith wondered aloud.

Melinda giggled and smiled to her cousin Rian. "No one is ready...I just said to Chris, you never know what the teachers put you up to every year...because each one, is absolutely original..." She told her and smiled.

"I don't think so..." Melinda said, shaking her head. "ARe you?" She asked her, though, she knew that Care of Magical Creatures was the one everyone's taking since third year.

Maura smiled. "Umm...pop, I think. She's really good. Her hit song is called Believe In Me." She shrugged. well not everyone could have heard of Phoebe. she wouldn't get mad.

Maura watched Laylee meet Patty.

Jenn sighed contently. This is where she belonged. She put her head on her arms and looked around sleeply. She really hoped someone would talk to her soon, cause she didn't want to fall asleep at the table.

Katelyn sighed as she looked around. Still, she saw no sign of any of her friends from any houses, much less Ravenclaw! She tucked some of her brown hair behind her ears, and smiled to herself.

She glanced down the table, and saw a young one, practically falling asleep. She giggled.
"Hey! Dont go to sleep, YET!" she said loudly at her, giving her a smile. "The names Kate!"

Jenn looked up startled. She nearly jumped out of her seat. After collecting herself she looked around and saw the girl that said that. Jenn blushed then smiled at the girl. "I'll remember not to!"Jenn said laughing. "Other wise I'll have you telling me to wake up!" Jenn said giggling. "My names Jenn!"Jenn said smiling.

Robert shrugged, "It honestly doesn't matter much to me who rides it first." He smiled as he noticed her hair had stayed red. It was fascinating really, though he was glad that his hair didn't turn colour when his emotions changed. "Yes well, he's my father. My mum does her best to keep me busy but that's why I like coming here. I'm away from him, I can play Quidditch and talk to other people...it's like paradise." He smiled at her and laughed slightly as he ate, "Alright enough about me. Let's see...tell me something about you."

Natka returned to her table smiling. She still felt a bit unsure at times, seeing as she hadn't really made any close friends in her own house yet, and Lizze and Erica were back in Gryffindor.

But she hoped this would change soon.

She heard a giggle, and looked over to where a girl about her age was sitting. Natka made her way over, nodding at the empty seat beside the girl.

"Can I sit here?"

Sabrina had to blush as he noticed her hair, but it seemed as if he had forgotten the meanings which was a good thing if nothing else was. "Mothers are normally better than fathers, but I liked my dad better," she said softly. She wasn't trying to gloat and she hoped Robert didn't take it like that. "Paradise is a nice word for it, although in my paradise we don't need to go to school cause we're born with all the information we'll ever need." She laughed and pushed a piece of hair behind her ear. "Um.. okay," she thought for a moment before thinking of something. "Well let's see I have a twin brother but he's in America studying."

This is Paintbrushes post.She heard a giggle, and looked over to where a girl about her age was sitting. Natka made her way over, nodding at the empty seat beside the girl.

"Can I sit here?"


Jenn turned to the girl. "Of coarse you can!" Jenn said slidding over alittle to let the girl in. "My names Jenn." Jenn said smiling at the girl. "Whats yours?" Jenn said grabing some chocolate. Jenn really needed to wake up.

Mariel was starting to nod off. As she started to drift off to sleep with her head in her hands, she forced herself to stay awake. Looking over at Jenn, Mariel could she that she was trying to keep herself awake too. Coversation is what they needed. That would help them stay awake a little longer, at least till they found their dorm room. "Um, what were we talking about?" she asked Jenn, stifling a yawn. As she spoke, another young Ravenclaw girl made her way over to sit next to Jenn. Mariel gave her a sleepy smile.

"I'm Natasha, but everyone calls me Natka," she introduced herself, also helping herself to some chocolate.

"Sleepy already, huh?" Natka asked with a smile, before realising that she was yawning herself.

"Hi," Natka smiled back at the girl who was looking over at her and Jenn. "I'm Natka. here, have some, it's coffee flavoured, so maybe it'll wake you up a bit."

Natka offered the girl some of the chocolate she was eating.

Robert nodded, "I used to like my dad more..." he said quietly. He smirked slightly at her idea of paradise, "Now, that would be paradise. We could...fly all day." He watched as she pushed her hair back and it finally dawned on him. Red. His smirk grew and he looked down at his plate pushing his food around as he tried to stop himself from turning red himself. "A twin brother. That must be interesting. I'm an only child myself. Why is he in America studying?"

Katelyn smiled.
"Jenn? How pretty!" she exclaim. "Yeah, do not sleep now! Or you wont sleep later!" she said with a wink.

Katelyn waved at the girl.
"Hello, Natka! I'm sorry I'm interupting! But I like your name, too!" She said with a giggle. The hippy glanced around the table for a nice, joicy bowl of salad. Hmm.

"Hi Natka, I'm Mariel," she said as she struggled to keep her eyes open. Mariel looked curiously at the piece of candy Natka offered her in her outstretched hand and gingerly picked it up. She had never tasted coffee before, so she just shrugged and slowly took a bite. Not bad. Then she grinned as a small jolt of caffeine shot through her body. That helped. "Thanks", Mariel told Natka, still grinning. Hopefully she'd stay awake through the Headmistress's speech now... or maybe there's more of that chocolate around here somewhere, she thought to herself.

As she looked around, she noticed another girl a few years older than herself smiling at her, so Mariel smiled back. She did look a bit older so Mariel was a little too intimidated to say anything just yet.

Rian laughed and nodded in reply. She was so happy to be back here.

Rian nodded. "That's for sure," she replied, "Each teacher is definately origional," she laughed.
