Dominic strolled out to the pitch, where the flying lesson was supposed to held. He wasn't particular fond of the Professor, especially after he sided with his blond captain, but would attend the lesson nonetheless because he enjoyed flying. It was thrilling . . . at least to the fourth year. Bright topaz eyes gazed forward as he saw he was one of the first to arrive, other than the Professor. Perhaps he won't be so bad... he thought, cautiously approaching the man. Taking a seat in the second row, he nodded at him politely. "Good day Professor." |
Cale walked into the practice pitch, quite glad to be at a flying lesson again. All the lessons at Coopers had been rather enjoyable, especially the mixed lesson with the girls. Tee hee. "Hello Professor Vindictus," he said happily before taking a seat in the stands. Magical transportation...what in Merlin's beard did that mean? |
"Hello, hello!" Vindictus called out cheefully and the boyish grin never left his handsome face. He looked over at the breathing blue tarp and laughed. "Yes, it's supposed to be moving." |
It's supposed to be moving? That did not sound good. For all Willow knew there was an animal underneath the blue tarp, and the young Ravenclaw did not like animals. "It is? It's not going to bite me, or anything, right, sir?" The girl asked politely, though sounding a little bit tense. Animals were dangerous, and if there was animal under that blue tarp, she would go and take seat in the fifth and last row. Forest green eyes eyed the moving thing warily. Stupid animals. They were everywhere. Not even flying class was safe anymore. |
Oh, good! Another flying lesson! These were always enjoyable. Anna smiled at the memory of last year's co-ed flying lesson. Professor Vindictus had been quite the popular one after holding that class! "Hello, Professor!" she greeted, smiling at first, and then showing a rather perplexed look when she spotted the blue tarps. What on Earth? Anna looked back and forth between the tarps and the professor, wondering what in the world he'd gotten them into now. Either way, this was sure to be another enjoyable lesson! |
Supposed to be moving.....okay then! Rapunzel shrugged at the professor's words and still smiled. She was just happy to be close to flying again....close to Quidditch....yay! Nothing could possibly ruin this class... ....except for Willow Kovac back there, who had to ask the dumbest questions. Ay yi yi. Punz rolled her eyes at the girl's obvious fear of the tarp but bit her tongue. She wasn't going to say anything, just let the girl look silly. As if Vindictus would bring something dangerous to class.....tsk tsk she hasn't a brain. |
Theodore walked into the lesson. He had his little rucksack on, and his Buzz in his hand. He sat at the front otherwise he wouldn't be able to see the good teacher. |
Maddox came in, waved, and said, "Hello Professor." He quickly and quietly found a seat in the back row. He didnt like being in the front. |
Allie walked to the lesson. "Hello Professor." she said, taking a seat. |
Astrid walked in and smiled at the professor. "Hello sir! How are you today?" she asked cheerfully before sitting down. |
Qaz quickly found a seat and got out a clipboard, parchment and a quill. She enjoyed having class outside. |

Lucas eyed the moving tarp as he looked for a seat. That tarp was making him very nervous. Yes nervous indeed. he tried to find an older student to sit next to. He sat next to a Hufflepuff boy. |
Well, at least whatever it was wasn't going to kill them. Still, it would be helpful to know what it was. She stared at it suspiciously before raising her hand. "What exactly is it, Professor?" |

Animal or not, whatever it was that was lying underneath the blue tarp was something Willow did not want to touch. Quietly, the fourth year waited for the class to start. |

Dominic blinked as a younger boy sat next to him; obviously an ignorant little first year. A smirk quickly spread across his face as he saw the boy seemed quite nervous about the tarp. Honestly, he didn't see anything to be too nervous about it. Shaking his head, the fourth year gazed back at the front of the room, awaiting the start of class. |
Ross walked into the class and took a seat before saying "Hello professor how are you today" |
Professor Vindictus stood up and walked over to the blackboard. He tapped it twice with his wand and the words Flying Lesson #2 - Magical Transportation appeared. "Welcome to the second Flying lesson of the term. Now, some of you are probably slightly disgruntled that I specifically stated that brooms would not be used in this lesson," he said and winked at a few of the students. The blue tarp breathed as he spoke. "We are so accustomed to the fact that every wizarding household owns at least one flying broomstick. But let me ask you this, why should the broom be the one object legally allowed as a means of wizarding transportation?" |

Camira stared at the Professor, a bit confused by his question. She raised her hand, nonetheless. "Well, I think brooms are the safest way, Professor, and anyone can use them. People can't apparate until they're of age, someone using floo powder could end up somewhere they didn't mean to go due to nervousness or not speaking clearly, and portkeys have to be authorized. Brooms are easy to learn how to use, fast, and convenient." She had no idea if that's what he meant when he asked, but that's the only thing she could think of. Besides, the weird breathing thing was distracting her. |
With his eyes fixed on the Professor, Dominic listened as he began the lesson. Thinking for a moment, he raised his hand slowly. "The broom should be the one object legally allowed as means of wizarding transportation because it allows for uniformity. They can easily be regulated; if we let anyone fly whatever they wanted, it'd be difficult to regulate and keep from prying muggle eyes. Or worse, could even end up in their hands!" |
Qaz raised her hand and replied, 'Well, flying carpets are quite noticable.' |
Ross stuck his hand straight up in the air and said "A broomstick is an object used daily in everyday life so if a muggle was to find one that flew then they still would not know the diffrence" |
Astrid raised her hand and asked, "Well sir, is it because brooms are the safest form of Magical Transportation?" |
