The Broomshed

The Broomshed is a place where the Hogwarts school brooms are stored when not being used by students participating in Flying Class or Quidditch. The shed is located one hundred yards from the Quidditch Pitch and appears to be on the verge of collapse to the untrained eye. Carefully open the door that miraculously hangs on rusted hinges and inside you'll find the broomsticks hanging from the ceiling and leaning up against the walls. Select your broomstick with care before heading out to class and return it to it's resting place when class is over. At the center of the room is a large wooden table surrounded by benches - take care not to get any splinters if you decide to take a seat while tuning up your broom!

Basic Broomshed Rules:
1. RP your character getting a broom for class/returning a broom/caring for a broom, etc. Please be aware that there are no Firebolts in the shed.
2. Broomsticks in here are for Flying Class and Quidditch uses only. If your character sneaks in to take a broom for a flight by the lake or on other areas of school grounds, expect a loss of House Points and/or Detention. If this becomes a problem (I hope it doesn't), the thread will be closed when class is not in session. On another note, all other kinds of RPing can take place in here - from polishing your broomstick to finding a quiet place to study, etc.
3. The Broomshed is not a place for public displays of affection (PDA) - violators will lose House Points and gain a date in the Dungeons (aka, Detention).
4. Observe SS Board Rules at all times.
5. Have fun!

"Oh" Fabian murmured, "my timing couldn't have been better" his eyes danced towards Amelia as he hoped for her to start speaking... soon. He couldn't help ponder if sending a note with the girl to Macadrian was a good idea at the moment, but desperate thoughts lead to desperate measures.. hmmph.

"My pinnacles? .. Please do explain" he grinned from cheek to cheek.

She was about to respond to Max's comment about Shackleton being normalish when something stopped her. Biting her lip nervously it was him! The big scary Magical Creature professor from last year; okay he wasn't that scary but he was big... and awesome. Before she could help herself, the seventh year found herself standing up behind Fabian and her arms wrapped around him as best she could, in a huglike fashion. "Professor Clark," she muttered quietly. "I've missed you." Gulping she gave him a final squeeze before releasing him, her cheeks slightly flushed.

"Uh..." he stuttered not sure how to disentangle the girl from his shoulder, "Nice to see you too Amelia" he croaked nervously, dearly hoping she'd let go. SOON.

The moment she removed her hands, he turned around in his chair to face her, much safer that way. "Is it really that terrible on the...." he couldn't come up with a good adjective for Belle's school so he trailed a "on the other side?"

Professor Clark's tone made her cheeks flush even more. He didn't seem all too pleased with her sudden attack on his back, but it was instinct... she couldn't help it. The odd thing was that these past few weeks, she hardly thought about Clark, but mostly about Vindictus... and yet now, she hugged Clark. Strange.

As he faced her, she just nodded as he referred to Belle's as 'on the other side'. Biting her lower lip, she wasn't entirely sure what to say. "I miss you and Professor Branxton and Erikson ... and others too," she informed him, purposely neglecting to say what others. "And you missed the talk earlier about the psycho flying professor we're stuck with..."

Jezz nodded to James and turned around to grab her broom, she missed it horribly. She heard Vindictus talking and smirked, she wondered how many girls there were just there to look at him. She pulled her polishing stuff out of her pocket and moved to a corner to polish her broom.

She hadn't meant to eavesdrop, but she heard the other conversation going on, "That lady is a lunatic."

Ella walked inside the boomshed for the first time. Oh..well!! quite crowded though. She looked around for the familiar faces. There she spotted the guy whom she met In the DA.
Walking over to him with her casual elegance, "Helloooooo!!* she said, and didnt know in what poisiton he was in the School.

Vindictus chuckled at both the kids and Fabian. The poor man was on the edge of his seat eagerly awaiting news about Shackleton. "Enough about the lunatic - tell us about Arithmancy."

Speaking of which... Amelia rolled her eyes as she heard him again. If his voice wasn't so melodic, she might have withheld longer, but even now it was a challenge. "I already told you. We learned about Pinnacles... and then for Homework, we found the pinnacles for Professor Clark and Headmistress Rae," she sighed. "Is there something specific you'd like to know about?" The seventh year watched the man carefully as she asked that.

Ella's smile widened as she saw Amelia. "Hey!! I thought you were under the invisibility cloak all the time." she chuckled slightly, "Yeah. I was bit busy with finding things in the school and homeworks. How have u been?" she moved near to her.

Amelia's gaze drifted back to Ella as she snickered lightly with her comment. "No invisibility cloak... more just insanely preoccupied with everything under the sun," she smiled at the fellow Badger. "But overall, I've been good." Finally taking bite out of the cookie she'd been playing with for the past few minutes or so, she turned as Vindictus surprisingly was upfront with her.

"I uh..." she paused, looking down at her now half eaten cookie. Deciding to give herself more time, she shoved the rest into her mouth and chewed it, contemplating her words carefully. "Professor Shackleton is good. She seems to making the best of it, but there isn't much more one can do, right?" she smiled, looking up to meet his eyes again. "She's not the only one devastated over the loss of Gobstones... but as I said, she's making the best of what there is to work with."

Ella bit her tongue spontaneously after she pronounced the invisibility cloak. OH what she did!! Crap! She shouldnt have done this..well Lua's warning bumped into her mind. But she collected her thoughts back quickly. "Cool!!" she replied to Amelia. "I want some informations, Amelia" she leaned towards Amelia, "Who's he? and what's his name?" she asked in soft voice as she pointed the man. (Fabian)

Clark was still baffled by the Hufflepuff's response to actually respond to her random arbitrary reaction. But snapped out when a Ravenclaw called someone a lunatic, who did she mean?

"What do you mean she's making the best of it?" Fabian asked Amelia, "she's not ill is she? Anyone bothering her?" he wanted to shake the girl for detailed answers.

"Him?" she repeated, jutting her thumb out towards the professor. "Oh that's Fa- Professor Clark. Nice guy. Used to teach Care of Magical Creatures back at Hogwarts," she whispered back, shrugging.

Oops! She had been slightly perplexed between Vindictus and now Ella that she forgot she had been talking to Clark. "Noo..." she waved her hand quickly at the misunderstanding. "Professor Shackleton is fine, but well there is only so much you Hogwarts Professors can do without high risk for employment." She sighed, wondering how much more she could take of this questioning. "No one is bothering her that I know of; besides, I'm pretty sure she is an intelligible woman that could take care of herself." Glancing down at her messenger bag that was at her heel, she suddenly remembered something else. "Anyway, did you want to see your pinnacles or not?"

Fabian's brows furrowed as the girl continued to explain in riddles, shaking her would be heavenly good at this moment. "Yes, Professor Shackleton is capable of protecting herself and others" he exclaimed in worrisome, it was exactly why he was worried over her safe being. He looked over the girl's shoulder, lost in thought for a moment, writing on walls?

"oh, my pinnacle.. sure?" his lips slowly grew into a ginger smile, "it was given to you as homework? any reason why?"

Amelia raised one brow at Clark, who didn't seem all too pleased with her scarce answers. Why was he so concerned about Shackleton anyway? Not like they were ... Hold up! It all made sense now. She assigns homework to find out about him for her own pleasure, not theirs! And why else would Vindictus seem so curious about the subject? Duh. For his best friend. Gulping, she quickly returned to a perplexed expression, hoping no one caught her brief moment of understanding.

Eek! What should she say? The truth, of course. "No reason that students know," she smiled a little. "But why do you think she would want us to know about you?" Yes, perfect. Turn the tables around and find out if it's true before jumping to conclusions.

In the meantime, she bent down under the table so she could retrieve her bag that held her pinnacle assignment...

Ella got surprised first. So that means she was talking to a Professor and making fun earlier. Good work Ella! "I see!!" all she could reply to Amelia as her eyes still on Professor Clark. But realised soon that the Pinnacle hw the one which, her Arithmancy professor gave them was about this guy. Very interesting. Are they related? She felt so innocent but followed their talks silently.

Ryan was starting to feel dizzy. He had no idea what was going on anymore and it was just far too crowded in the broomshed. He needed out. "Professor, I thank you and your wife for the delicious treats, and," he nodded to the other captains, "girls, I thank you for the insight into Belle's School. Unfortunately, I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable with how packed it's becoming in here, so I must bid you all adieu."

He backed out of the broomshed, nodding to both Vindictus and Clark - "Professors," - and his fellow captains - "Girls. Oh, and I wish you luck and good will in training your teams. You're going to need it." He winked at them and finally backed all the way out and made his way back toward Cooper's School, wondering to himself why suddenly everyone needed to polish their broomsticks. He would never understand people....that was for sure.

She enjoyed his excited look. Seemed excited at the attention. Why not! Everyone has it! "I'm glad. But bad, you're not teaching us. We're so unfortunate." she said as a matter of fact.

"Sure sure.." she giggled before explained about his pinnacles. "Mostly the general results. But your first and fourth Pinnacles are interesting." she stopped...looking up at him.

Amelia decided not to speak up so quickly this time, as she contemplated Clark's words. He didn't know why she would want them knowing? Oh! Perhaps they're not official yet then, but they're in the awkward liking each other phase? Making a strange face with her lips, she frowned again. Were adult crushes the same as student ones? No clue, but she was thankful for Ella's interruption of her thoughts.

Not that Ella really asked her anything, so she just decided it best to smile at the younger Hufflepuff who now got roped into the Pinnacle talk. Evasion is a petty thing.

Then she heard movement from down the table; Ryan was leaving! Perhaps all the talk of Pinnacles and other gossip was too much for his young male ears. She would have just said goodbye and left it there, but then he winked! Cocky little eagle - thinks he knows all. "Thanks Ryan, and we'll be seeing who needs it more soon enough..." she grinned at him. "Enjoy the day." She called after him, before turning her attention back to the topic of the hour: Pinnacles.

Looking back at the Professor Clark, she nodded at him briefly before smoothing out her paper on the table. "Well the main pinnacle that you need to worry about is your current one. Given your age, you are currently in your fourth pinnacle, which according to my calculations, would equate to one." After this small introduction, she folded the parchment so that only the excerpt she had written from the textbook was visible about each pinnacle. She would read him her interpretation of this after he read what the textbook said...

"ONE (1): During this time of your life, your primary goal will be to achieve autonomy, self-reliance, and individuality, so all circumstances and people who cross your path in a significant way are teachers who will help you move toward being independent. If the 1 is the Third or Fourth Pinnacle, you're being groomed for leadership - your greatest attainment will be to lead and understand all that it means to be thought of as a leader: vision, integrity, drive, courage, and determination."

The door flung open and in stepped Madam Wystan. "This place is disgusting. I want clean brooms for my lesson and I want them placed on a rack outside of this-this rats nest." She noticed a Hufflepuff girl and snapped her fingers. "You - brooms. Now."
