As you knock on the door, it opens a crack and a womans voice reaches your ears. "I cant believe that selfish, flea-brained, vain, jerk of a man has put his picture in my office! How dare he tell me what I can put in my office! And sticking it to desk! I'll have to rip the wood off to get it off." the angry voice was saying. Pushing the door open a bit more, you see a middle-aged blonde woman sitting at her desk, glaring at a picture of the Minister of Magic which was set on her desk.
Catching a glimps of you out of the corner of her eye, Professor Alexandria Pierce takes her eyes off of the picture and asks, "How may I help you dear?"

OOC: Time warp time!  Pretend Alex met you at the door as you were knocking, she just came back form teaching her class. A large grey owl swooped in through the open window and dropped a letter on Alex's head. She picked it up and read it silently, her face slowly turning grey, then red, then purple with anger. She threw the letter to the floor, pointed her wand at the picture of the Minister attached to her desk and yelled, 'Incendio!' And watched in satisfaction as the picture burst into flames, though when the fire was burnt out, the picture remained unharmed. 'Well, at least that was satisfying.' Alex thought. She needed to speak to Samuel as soon as humanly possible. | |

Cassandra clung to the bust with both hands and with both arms. The statue weighted her down enough, but the feeling of heights was still there. The Slytherin prefect was a little afraid going to Pierce... Gryffindor professor would probably try to stay on St. Toussaint's side.

"Professor Pierce." She squeaked highly. "I need to have a word with you about one of your Slytherins. The Prefect, in fact. I'm afraid she's been up to no good."

Cassandra came hovering in from the hallway, holding onto the marble bust of Circe. She was in tears... would Pierce believe St. Toussaint's story of being poisoned... probably... they were both professors.
"Professor Pierce," she said trying to look at her Head of House through her tears. "I've only had good intentions... honest ones... please hear my side before-" but she caught a glimpse of the ground and her eyes shut again. She was barely a few inches above the ground... "If you have a potion to nullify billywig stings..." but she couldn't continue the sentence.

Professor St. Toussaint nearly snarled as the Slytherin Prefect spoke out. 'Was anyone talking to HER?!'
"Well, what did you expect would come of your trying to poison a Ministry official, you little medler?!", St. Toussaint snapped rhetorically towards the Prefect. "And, does she look like a nurse or a Potions master to you?".
St. Toussaint turned back to Professor Pierce and shook her head. "Honestly, these kids...!" She straightened her robes and did not see the expression upon Professor Pierce's face. "Professor Pierce, as you can see, the child is relentless and will neither own up to nor take responsible punishment for her wrong-doings. I discovered that during a class she had slipped me a poison in the guise of tea. Please see that her badge and all her prefecting duties are revoked. She does not deserve to prefect the house of Slytherin."

Alex stared in shock at the scene in front of her, "Poisoned?" she asked if disbelief. In her two terms at Hogwarts, she'd only known Cassandra to be a model student who not only followed the rules, but made others follow them as well. Upon seeing the girls tears stained face, the way the Ministry hag was treating her AND the fact that Cassandra had just basicly told her the woman had let billywigs loose on her (not to mention the god-aweful stench coming from her) Alex saw red.
She stood up to fast her chair went rocketing backwards. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS GIRL?!" she yelled angrily, "I will certainly NOT take away her badge, I have only known Miss Trelawny to be a model student and I will hear her side of the story before making any judgements. And no matter what she has done it is NO EXCUSE for treating her in this manner, no matter what your stinking, filth ridden Minister has told you." she snarled.
Alex leaned down and pulled a basic antidote out from under her desk, walked around it and gently poured a small amount into Cassandra's mouth, her hands shaking in anger as she did so. "There, that should take care of it." she took the heavy bust from Cassandra and dropped it to the floor with a thud, "Go sit in my chair dear, you look like you need a rest." she added with a kind smile.
Her face hardened as she turned back to the Ministry Professor and waited for her response. | |

"FILTH RIDDEN MINISTER??! FILTH RIDDEN MINISTER?!!", The Divination Professor puffed. "How dare you insult Minister Cooper! If it wasn't for him and his clever manuveur to act upon Hogwarts, the school would be nothing but an obvious sess-pool for 'Mommy Coddling'!", she sneered mockingly at Professor Pierce's gentle tactics towards the Prefect.

It didn't take a genius to realize there was a lot of tension in the small office. St. Toussaint looked as if she had all the fury a bull did when it saw red. Professor Pierce seemed determined to wave that red flag before the divination professor.
Cassandra felt the urge to run out of the room, screaming for the headmistress, but she didn't. Instead she looked up at Pierce. "Professor, may I be dismissed?" She asked her, and then gave a quick glance to St. Toussaint. She knew the ministry hag wouldn't let her leave.
