Jezz nodded. "Okay professor." She nodded to the other girls. "Can you let me know if you find out?" |

Emily was walking towards the office, a floating tray of chocolate-mint-muffins. Apparently, hearing from other students, Professor Lainey had enjoyed mints. Maybe this would cheer her up. Standing in front of the door, she knocked. Knock-knock. Knock-knock. She stepped back and waited, undoing the floating charm so she could carry the tray in herself, making it look like she had carried it all the way here. |
Brandon, erm, Brenda, stepped outside of the office and check himself. He patted his long blone wig.He was dressed in a pair of girlish pants, and shirt that hid his muscles but showed his"cleavage" and ballet flats, he looked like a girl giant. He knocked on the dooor and stepped in with a plate of sugar cookies in his hands."Professor,I need to talk to you. Privatley. Now?" |
At the idea of Becca, Issy had agreed to go with the younger girl to pay Professor Lainey a visit. Their Head of House would probably like to hear about their show down the Ministry Officials. BEFORE the Ministry officials got to the woman, that is. As they rounded the corner though and began to approach, she found two students already waiting. One, a semi familiar Ravenclaw bearing muffins, the other... what in the name fo Merlin was that? "Oh, Crup Puppies!" Issy squeaked, stopping dead. What... was that... Surely that was not some horribly disfigured girl... right? It was like... huge and bulging and... was that a boy? Merlin that must've been a boy! In BALLET flats? That shirt... urgh... she was seeing too much of him. "MERLIN!" she gasped, instantly turning to the older girl and clinging to her, hiding her face and using her hand to cover Becca's eyes, wailing melodratically. "Don't look! For the sake of all things sweet, pure and right DO NOT LOOK!" |
Trailing behind Issy like a loyal puppy, Becca was thrilled to be sharing their exciting and adventurous story with her new role model and Head of House. "I can't WAIT to see her reaction! I hope she's proud of us for standing up to those big jerkheads," she whispered excitedly. "We sure kicked some butt!" She pumped her fist high in the air. Issy had come to an abrupt hault, in which Becca then ran into her from behind - and then the second year suddenly threw a fit! "Whoa calm down there, bud! Nothing can be that horrifying." Then the next thing Becca knew. . . the lights had gone out! "AHHH I'm blind!" she shrieked and flailed, trying to take Issy's hand down. "What, what is it? Is it a monster? What am I not supposed to be looking at?!?! I can take it! LET ME SEEEE!!" |
"Yes!" Issy cried, her voice a near wail still. "It's a monster, a horribly terrifying monster and I would never forgive myself if I let you see it, Becca! Your retinas will burn and you will go blind and have nightmares forever and no matter how hard you close your eyes, your mind will always be embedded with the vision of this monster!" Lowering her voice, she cupped her hand over Becca's eyes so the girl could look down at the smaller Ravenclaw. Standing on her tip toes, she whispered "I think it's a boy. Dressed up as a girl. He doesn't look like a pretty girl, either!" Then, she resumed clutching Becca but uncovered her eyes. "Peek if you will, but I won't be held responsible for your blindness!" |
Becca's heart was nearly pounding out of her chest. Issy was making her slightly nervous - all right, maybe a bit more than slightly. Her description of the monster reminded her of some kind of horror movie. What if it ate her?! OR LAINEY!?!?!? Nooo, Becca had to protect her! She would NOT let that happen! She looked down at her best friend as she let her see a bit more. "A boy?" she gasped, quickly pushing Issy's hand down and staring at. . . "Whoa. Hey buddy, you need a makeover ASAP." Her nose scrunched up in disgust and she stepped behind Issy. Yuck. If he was going to disguise himself, couldn't he have at least done it well? "What a creeper," she whispered. |
"Creeper does NOT begin to describe it," said the small girl, attempting to creep behind Becca and hide. She was bigger. And she was the one talking to the boy... girl...? It? ...how did you refer to that person? Egh! "What... what're you doing here, anyway?" she asked, standing on her toes and peeking up and over Becca's shoulder, adressing the... female dressed male. "Boys aren't supposed to be in the school. You didn't think that your disguise would work, did you?" Issy felt compelled both to hide and to burst into raucous laughter. This was all so ridicuslous... and creepy and terrifying, too. "Becccaaaa!" she whined, whispering in her ear. "How're we gonna see Lainey now? I can't get passed... the... person. And and and... what if she gets busy lecturing him?" She couldn't help it. As she pulled back, she began laughing. It all spilled out and a moment later, she was doubled over, holding her sides and laughing. If only the girls were around to see this. Samson and Gavin, too. Oh, how she missed them. A pang stabbed her belly as she realized, once again, how much she missed Samson, which mixed with the laughter stitches and merely made her sides ache more. |
A frown immediately appeared on Becca's face as Issy slipped behind her. Ugh. "Hey, you're older! But fine. I'll be the brave one." She puffed her chest out and put her shoulders back, then stuck her nose up in the air. Ha! Now she looked tough. Or maybe just conceited. "Hmm. Well. If we can't get past him," she began, raising her eyebrows slightly as Issy bursted into laughter, "then we could just. . . make her come to us and take him to the brig! Yeah! MISS PROFESSOR LAAAAAINEY!" Her screams echoed off the door of the office and bounced down the hallway. But it had to be done due to the fact that the door was blocked by what looked like the Big Bad Wolf disguised as Little Red's grandmother. What a horrible, horrible sight. |
"What is that racket?" Serena murmured to herself as she neared one of her favorite classrooms, History of Magic. The blonde didn't really know why she was lingering around that hallway but hearing the yells and the screams of "LET ME SEE" piqued the blonde's curiousity. What was so interesting? And why were those voices so familiar? Turning the corner Serena was shocked to see a girl bearing muffins? or was it cupcakes?, Issy and Becca yelling at the top of their lungs. "Issy! Becca!" Serena said rushing up to him, scared that something horrible had happened. "What wrong?!" She asked urgently. |
Jayne walked by and jumped when Becca screamed "Whoa, screaming? why?" she asked eyeing up the precious parcel that was cookies |
Breanda turned and said"I disagree with this seperation so I'm protesting, little girl!"He then knocked again on the door. |
Crystal knocked on the Professors door and waited for her to answer |
Rian stepped up to the door and knocked, breathing a sigh of relief. This teacher wasn't minstry approved. |
Walking up to the door and seeing the amount of people around Summer asked " Do any of you know when the next class is scheduled for?" |
seeing the slythrin student walk up to her and the other student crystal turned and said, No sorry i dont i wass hoping to find out myself |
Jayne stared at the boy dressed up as a girl, conjuring up a muffin she watch the happenings around her and stared at the boy as if she had never seen a boy before |
Lainey was deeply emerged into a novel. It apparently took a small army of of students to get her attention. She put her bookmark between the pages and got up to get the door. "Small army indeed. What are you girls up to out here?" Lainey asked, oblivious to the source of chittering. |
Rian blushed. She just had to be the first one to talk, didn't she? "Well, I was wondering...if you weren't busy...if..." her face was now a light pink color, "we could just chat?" she said, her tone rising into a questioning tone. "umm, if not, that's fine." she added. |
"Yeah, absolutely," Lainey shrugged. "Everyone come on in. Grab a seat." Lainey opened her office door wide and stuck the little stopper in to keep it open. "I've got some peppermints around here somewhere," she went to digging through the mess on her desk. "Tell me what's on your mind." |
Amelia was prancing down along the first floor corridor when she passed by a certain staff member's office. She stopped for a moment taking in the scene; there were already several girls around, but at the same time she felt as thought she hardly talked to Lainey this term. It was her last year after all. Noticing the door propped with a little stopper, her eyes flickered between the younger students. Eek! They were teensy! Either that or she just never realized how tall her 5'7" frame really was to younger students. Shrugging, she smiled politely towards them and entered the room, which appeared... messy. "Professor Lainey!" The seventh year beamed, ignoring the mess around her. She darted over to a free area of the room to allow others to enter. "Er.. How are you?" Meep. That was a dumb question. "Rather, how have you been? Given the circumstances, of course..." she tacked on lamely, her cheeks flushed. |
"Oh you know me. Rolling with the kicks. When given lemons, we make lemonade, right?" Lainey retrieved her big bag of peppermints. "Ah-ha!" She held them up with a triumphant grin and then started passing them out. "I assume Miss Hufflepuff herself is doing dandy, as well?" |
Amelia nodded at Lainey's response to her question; it was true though and really completely expected from what she did know of Lainey. "So where's the lemonade then?" she joked , grinning brightly. Then Lainey called her something which she was sure made her cheeks match her hair. Miss Hufflepuff. Heh. That's a new one. Taking a mint, she popped it into her mouth before responding. "Surviving, naturally. Isn't that what we all gotta do these days?" |
People, people everywhere! Where did all these other students come from?! THEY WERE NOT THERE BEFORE HER! Becca glared around at everyone, her blood boiled, and she looked at Issy, then at the boy who was obviously confused of his true identity, then at the door that opened and let them all in. How dare these minions enter and take charge before her?! Surely they had nothing important to talk about! Becca grabbed Issy's hand and dragged her into the office, making sure neither of them were even remotely close to touching the weird boy. "Miss Professor LAINEY!" She panted and paused for a moment, contemplating whether or not to just share their news or point out the monster. Hmm... Becca figured that the boy would be more appreciative if he told Lainey on his own rather than being ratted out. "Issy and I have something EXCITING to tell you about!" A large grin spread across her face. It only appeared mildly suspicious. She was so proud of herself and Issy - no other Ravenclaws were as bold and fierce as them, that was for sure! |
