The three-year-old garden is well established and in full bloom. ~~The center of the garden is a bush of deep blue roses, surrounded by some sort of silvery plant.~~ Hedges section out the massive garden with various roses at different areas, as well as other types of flowering plants. Many types of vines creep along the hedges, wandering their way to each other. Each section of the garden has a marble bench to sit and talk. A warning at each entrance to the garden clearly states that there are dire consequences to destroying any part of his garden.

2008-2-17: The Sapphire Rose bush which had existed in the center of the garden seems to have been violently ripped from the ground, the silvery plants around it having been uprooted from the force of it. However, the bush is no where in sight.

He chuckled softly upon hearing that Branxton was obliviated. Not that he had anything against the man, but the thought was mildly entertaining. The mention of Alex's name brought a more serious expression however. Ah yes, that was the problem with conversing with Cassandra. Though it worried him that they'd broken up. It was somehow foreboding. "Yes, I noticed Excelsior was missing in class before I left. He rarely misses herbology. We'd noticed the animal thing already. I was hoping that would be resolved by now. What's this about the squid giving you a clam?"

Good... no duelling on Alex. "In History of Magic, Professor Lainey broght us to the lake on these smurf board things and we met Bartholomew, and he liked me, so he gave me a clam... Professor Branxton is brewing the potion to cure them." She picked up the stool and said "I should return this to the student gardens... would you accompany me Professor?"

He nodded. "Of course. I need to check on those next anyhow. It seems more students use them than take care of them. I'm quite sure you've noticed by now." He pat her on the shoulder lightly and led the way to the gardens.

Apedemak slumbered quietly on a bench near the Queen of Night Tulips and Taboo Roses in an out of the way area in the north-western part of the garden. The Sudanese boy's dark features were at peace, his hand happily folded over his chest, and a joyful smile graced his lips. Even in his sleep, his head nodded slightly as if listening to some unheard music.

Diabolica silently hurried through the gardens, heading towards Hogwarts once more. She had wanted to finish some of her homework out in the fresh spring air, but to no avail--she had forgotten an important piece of her assignment. She quickly stopped in her tracks as she came across Apedemak, sleeping peacefully. A smile crossed her face and she contemplated what to do; she didn't want to awaken him in any way, after all. He seemed too placid and happy.

Although she really did not want to disturb him, the bench really did not appear comfortable--though he seemed perfectly happy--and so she silently made her way over to him. "You seem exhausted, my love...wouldn't you rather be in the common room, perchance, so you could get some proper rest before lessons tomorrow?" she asked softly, laying a hand on his shoulder and gently shaking him, hoping it would awaken him from his deep slumber.

Though he did not use it against her there was an unusual vice like strength in his hands and fierceness to the kiss that was decidedly out of place for the normally placid boy.

Noticing the unusually strong grip he had on her neck--almost strong enough to hurt a bit--Diabolica became slightly concerned and pulled away from the kiss. Perhaps he was still in the superconscious state? One was usually not that strong when first waking up. "Apedemak, would you like me to escort you up to the common room? You seem like you need proper rest..." she asked again softly.

His shoulders rolled, pulling at stiff muscles as a feral smile spread across his lips. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting to do that?" His voice was like silk and his eyelids slowly rolled open like gun ports revealing golden cat eyes lurking underneath.

She laughed slightly--though not nervously--, enjoying the small bit of dark humour while it lasted. Well, here we go again... There was no telegraphing of his movements. One moment he was laying on the bench looking up at her, the next he was standing before her with only the briefest of fluid movements separating the two moments. The same feral smile still graced his lips. "Classes, books, and common rooms can wait. After all we've had so little time together."

He actually purred. "I am sure you will be, but I might not be. What is it that Slade always says? Seize the day. I've rested enough, I had more active pursuits in mind." The skin rider took a fluid sauntering step closer.

No, taking advice from Slade never bode well for her. She took another casual step backward, keeping a small distance between him and herself.

"Oh, no no. I'm not planning to retreat, friend. And really...I don't quite feel like running at all." she said airily. "Really, you want to chase me? "I assure you, sire, I am not a damsel in distress." Diabolica's lip curled into a slight smirk. "Personally, as much as that game of yours sounds fun, I do not fancy being a prey-type character. She bowed gracefully, though never took her careful eyes off him. "Your company does not offend me in the slightest, good sir." She straightened as she spoke, her hand coming to rest on the hilt of her wand instinctively. Her reflexes were amazing from her years of training, and she stayed on guard the whole time, awaiting an attack from him.

"Your beautiful words don't match your sinuous action, beloved. Perhaps I should take my leave, seize this day to wander the school. So many people to meet. One never knows when this time will come again." It half-turns to leave, but doesn't take its golden cat-eyes off of her, clearly waiting for reaction.
