Jackie jumped slightly when the lamps went out, not being one for the dark. The eerie blue light coming from the corners of the room was intimidatingly creepy... A few other students had managed to produce fire in their jars, but that wasn't enough to break through the misty black of the room.
Giggling nervously, Jackie stood up and walked over to collect a jar, then quickly scuttled back to her desk. Why was it that everytime she was in a dark room she was convinced it was full of monsters? Attempting to put her cowardice aside, Jackie picked up her wand and directed it at the jar.
"Inferell!" she cried, trying to produce the correct wand movement. She flicked her wand neatly then made a sharp jabbing motion, causing her wand to clumsily hit the bottom of the jar.
A tiny blue flame flickered where her wand had made contact, but it died quickly. Jackie blushed slightly, hoping no one had heard the small clink when her wand hit the jar.
'C'mon you're a Ravenclaw for macaroni's sake!' she thought, determined to get it right second time.
Jackie took a deep breath, then said
"Inferell!" clearly. She flicked her wand neatly again then jabbed it forwards, a little more gently this time... A large blue flame erupted from her wand-tip and settled itself in the jar, glowing brightly and strongly. Jackie smiled to herself, carefully placing the jar on her desk and admiring it. She was finally living up to her house...

Kimberly looked towards Rapunzel and smiled seeing her jealous glare. Kim had been sitting in a dark corner of the classroom and hadn't seen her friends come in, but now she walked over to where Rapunzel and Ryan were sitting and took a seat. "Hey y'all", still smiling at her friends she watched the blue flames dancing merrily in her own jar, she had gotten the spell right on the first try and was quite proud of her wandwork.

She sighed they were going to be seriously disappointed at the things that had happened to her but she had to tell them she never lied to her parents.
She looked up as the Professor came over and scolded Helios, she chuckled softly if nothing else he was pure entertainment.

Kayla looked at Helios with a smile on her face. "Definitely your tricks they were quite outstanding actually. I've been humiliated enough this past week so I wouldn't be laughing at anyone else's misfortune" her face went from a smile to one of worry. She was going to have to write that letter soon, she couldn't put it off much longer.
"Do you think we're allowed to leave now, is the class over?"

"For homework I want you to send me two situations where this spell would be useful, one set in a normal setting such as here at Hogwarts, an another set in an uncontroled place, like the outdoors or the forbidden forrest. Homework is due a week from today. And as for you," she said pointing to Rapunzel, "I'd like to see you after class. Class dismissed." Curt looked in the direction of the culprits with a death stare, because laughing it off and packing up his books and writing down the homework. She wrote down the homework packed up her things quietly and decided to go and find a place on her own, surely she couldn't get into any more trouble being on her own.
