Cassandra led the way to the entrance hall. She swayed a bit to the music and held Alex's hand. She was craving to dance, wanting to be in his arms swaying but she'd wait for him to offer. |
Kaika rushed down to the Entrance Hall..she'd been late, as usual, pulling down her white-black stripes top, she was making herself ready to enter.. "Oh, why am I always running late?" she thought.."Thank God I doesn't happens for classes"..and with that she proceeded to enter the Ball.. |

Kate walked away from all the music and hub-bub of the ball along side Willow. When the volume had decreased, she felt she could think clearly once again. "Much better," she said with a sigh. "Having conversations in an environment like that can sometimes be next to impossible --" She looked over at her friend -- wondering if what she was about to say would change Willow's opinion of her. Kate had never been one about gossip -- and this wasn't actually gossip. Because it happened to her -- she wouldn't go spreading it around freely. What she needed was a grounded friend to simply listen. It was certainly a long story. "I kissed Josh -- twice" she blurted out. Well -- that a was a way to start it. |
Willow strolled out of the now, noisy and loud Great hall, along side Kate and stopped in the entrance of the hall, where, for Willow's suprise was quite and she could actually was able to talk without needing to yell, to be heard clearly. She listened to Kate's words, and looked at her directly. "You did what?" she asked, as her face was expresion-less, "Aren't you going out with that boy--er.." she was trying to remember his name. " Amos?" |
Kate made a face and nodded her head. "Thankfully, we're still together" she said, and shuddered as she remembered the look on Amos' face when he saw what happened. "It was rediculous," she went on and began pacing back and fourth. "I hadn't completely gotten over Josh, and we were talking for a really long time down by the lake -- I wrote a song for him and actually sang it. I didn't mean it in all romantic details -- I just wanted him to know that I was always going to care for him no matter what, you know? No matter who he dates or doesn't date --" She sighed and looked back to Willow. "I'm not the greatest with making friends --" she said quietly. "I still surprise myself when you greet me so warmly. I've never really felt wanted by anyone -- my family hasn't really helped me and it sort of closed me off. I came to Hogwarts with the intention of focussing only on my studies. Then I met Josh." "He was the one who started the process of me being comfortable with opening up to people. Letting them in, and caring for others -- and also allowing them to care about me. It's was a hard process -- and it's still going on. When he left me (one reason for not being open to him) for Tuesday I had regressed back to how I was when term first started. I didn't want to talk to anyone -- all I could think about was Josh." "Tuesday ended up leaving Hogwarts to send her cousin to spy on Josh to check his faithfullness. A huge misunderstanding resulted in Tuesday nearly strangling Josh and the both of them getting detention. That's when I had the inspriation to write the song -- Amos showed up -- and -- well --" Kate looked over to Willow with wide, unceratin eyes. She was expecting to be lecutred -- and if that's what it was going to be then maybe she needed to be lectured. Her behavior was nothing short of reckless and downright stupid. |
They were still together?, wow, he must realle care for her... Willow stared at her silent and let her finish. Josh. Willow thought that Kate had closed that chapter of her life. She thought that now, that she was going out with someone else, she was over with him. Appeareantly not. "Well, if it makes you feel better, my family is not exactly, the cozy, close family you would ever met. My father he--" she had never tell what she was about to say to tell Kate to anyone before, "He doesn't like muggleborns" she said flatly, staring at the emptiness "Or halfbloods, well not really halfbloods. But he doesnt really hang out with them much" Willow said after taking a breath. She had no idea if Kate was half blood, muggleborn or pureblood. That made Willow felt terrible, because she considered Kate one of her closest friends. "Basically, He can's stand a wizard that is not a pureblood, which is a very stupid thing actually. He believes that purebloods wizards ought to be with purebloods. That the purebloods for some reason are better than the rest".She had never opened up with this to anyone before, not even to Saylie. She took another breath and continued, "Purebloods, Halfbloods, Muggleborns. Same thing if you ask me, because as far as I know the fact that you come of either a pureblood family or a muggleborn family, doesn't make you a better person. Or wizard" she said tucking her hair behind her ears, "anyways, when I was sorted into Ravenclaw, my dad, he, he was not very pleased by this. He comes from a long line of Gryffindors and he was expecting me to be one as well. So you can just imagine how he reacted" She said bitterly remembering that letter, that had make feel worthless for days. "So, you can say that Hogwarts somehow, is kind of a place where I can be free of hanging out with whomever I want, and being friends with anyone I want to" She said smiling sadly Willow heard her talking about how Josh had helped her in feeling better, wanted. "Yes, that definitely sound like Josh" she said as a little smile appeared on her face. "He has the ability of making you feel better, when nobody else can" "Yes, I know that" she said quietly after hearing her comment about Josh leaving her for Tuesday because Kate wasn't open enough with him. She heard her talking about Tuesday leaving Hogwarts, her cousin coming to spy on Josh. "I know that as well, I was with him, skating in the lake the day she left. He was pretty heart Broken" she said remembering Josh's face that day. She had never seen him that sad. "Amos saw you two kissing?" she asked sounding more surprised than she wanted. "You wanna know what I think?" she asked to her friend quietly, and without waiting for her response she said, "If you havent gotten over Josh, I don't think is fair to Amos. I mean, I don't know him or anything, but I'm sure that he's a nice guy if he's going out with you, but, it's just too unfair for him, if you two are together, and you still have feelings for Josh" |
Sarah walked into Great Hall, all smiles. She was happy to be there, with all the crazy happenings around her, she needed this break, perhaps to mend the misunderstandings. And to her great surprise she didn't minded the dress she was wearing, it was so floaty and swirly, she giggled a the way she put it. Placing her hands on her hips, Sarah moved on.. to see if she could find anyone she knew. |
Jess was looking for some of her friends, but as she saw none, she thought:"Why not...make some new friends then!".She smiled and went towards a Gryffindor girl she knew just from sight(Sarah)."Hi,how are you?"she said as an introduction. |
Ben wandered into the entrance hall. He had been having fun, but the whole dancing part of the sock hop was starting to get old for him. He needed some music-less time to think, which was something he did not do much. |
"Hey Ben" Kayla whispered in his ear. "The music getting too loud for you to" she said as she walked around to face him. |
Ben jumped at the voice in his ear. He had not heard Kayla come up behind him. "Don't do that!" he protested. His sudden movement had given his hair good reason to flop across his forehead. He brushed it away impatiently. "Yeah, Kayla, the music's too...music-y," he agreed. "Is it too loud for you?" |
Kayla giggled at Ben's jumpiness. "Oh my Ben, I seemed to make you just a little nervous" she said smiling at him. "I can handle the music but I saw you come out here and I thought it might be nice to have a little quiet time together." |
Ben grinned. "Just a little nervous," he admitted. He wondered if he had heard her right...what was he supposed to say to something like that? "Oh," he finally said. That seemed to be about all he could say. Kayla tended to always have that effect on him. |
"Sorry I don't mean to make you nervous, I just like to say what I am thinking that's all" Kayla said softly. "And well I like you Ben, you're a really nice guy" she moved closer to him and took his hand in hers. "Tell me if I'm making you uncomfortable at all." |
Ben blushed. "Well, you're not really making me uncomfortable, just embarassing me with complements," he said. Hesitantly, because he had no idea how she would react, Ben covered her hand with his own. |
She felt his hand on hers and she smiled. It was nice his hand was soft and warm and she felt tiny flutters in her stomach. "I don't want to embarass you either but I like giving you compliments" she whispered. "How come we never got to dance together?" Kayla asked. |
Ellie walked out of the party, ball what ever it was. She felt the anger starting to came out and tears threatening to fall down her face. "I have a family full of liars!" She was into her thoughts that she didn’t noticed people were talking in there. “Aw, damn it, hell of day! I’m so sorry! “ she said to the boy that she had pushed. |
