Xana grinned at Diabolica. "Not bad..." she said. "Good duel, both of you. Sharp moves, there- Ems... Using your speed over his power... very astute. And Josh... well played. I have to admit it was more impressive than I expected. "

As josh put his wand away the snakes seemed to disappear. " You did well. Of course... If you could of focused on the last part instead of worrying about how close i was getting you could of won." he said to her as he then lifted her up." You alright? Hows your head?" he asked her as he no longer was an opponent but a loving brother. Josh heard xana and nodded in agreement." Your speed is very nice. Use it." he told her as he just gave xana a smile for the compliment." thanks." he said to her.

Josh watched the two as he was glad that they were becoming friends. Josh looked over at Xana and gave her a small smile. They never really did anything competitive. Except guitar hero at which reminded him that she owed him a kiss. He gave them both a sweet smile. " as much as i like to get beat my girls -" all sarcasm. " I think im good for now." he said to Ems. He was sure that xana had a reason for not dueling him in the first place. " take it easy alright ems." He said to her as he moved to sit down.

Xana grinned as she watched Emily playing up her injury for Josh's attentions. Cute kid, really. "It's okay... I wouldn't want to hurt him." She said this in a joking tone, but in reality she was quite serious. Something about Josh brought out something a bit dark and sinister in her... a competitive side of her that she didn't like. Quite simply, she didn't trust herself to duel him fairly... or safely. "And you're right-- you do need more practice. But you've got great reflexes for a firstie. If you'd like, sometime Diabolica and I'd be happy to meet you at the arena, out of class, and give you some... pointers. Right?" she grinned at Diabolica as if to say, lookit, a puppy followed me home! can we keep her?

Josh shrugged,"Im just a coward." he said to Ems as it didnt bother him to say it at all. It wasnt true in the slightest. He wasnt quite sure what to say about her comment so he just kept quite. Really, she wouldnt hurt him would she? Josh was listening as he started to choke and turned it into a cough. Oh gesh... Ems learning from Dia and Xana. Great.

Xana walked over to Josh and smiled. Leaning close to him, she said in a low, honeyed voice in his ear, "That was really sweet of you... Not dueling at your full capability, to save Em's ego... that was very kind." Her eyes met his, full of warmth.

Emily stuck her tongue out at Josh. He was anything but a coward but Ems would never say that to him - she wouldn't want to give him the satisfaction.

"I know." Emily said simply when Xana said she needed more practice. The duel with Josh had been pretty nerve racking, but it was just sparring really, in a supervised classroom. She would need to have her wits about her if ever involved in a real fight. Panicking and running away was definitely a big no no when it came to duelling as Emily had discovered. "W-what? You and D-Dia.“ Emily glanced over at Diabolica - boy was she scary. But it would be an amazing opportunity for Ems, to learn from the best. So she chose to accept the offer, even though the mere thought of it terrified her having watched the two duel earlier. “A-alright. Thanks.” she said nervously.

"Yeah--that'd be fun." Diabolica smiled. "And Josh--" she turned to him. "I'll duel you--I'm quite bored currently, and since neither of us have partners..."

Josh gave her a smile as he looked at her. He liked that look.He shook his head at her and told her." what else was a suppose to do?" Ems couldnt get beat so bad because she would be sad the whole time. That would be great. Then she would join kate on her rampage. No he certainly couldnt have that.


Josh looked at Ems a bit worried for her. He was even afraid of Dia at some point. Not afraid of her, but what she could do to him." I'll come and protect you Ems. Dont worry you'll be fine. Xana over here wont let anything happen to you any. Your safe. " he said to her.


When josh heard dia wanted to duel him he almost fell out of his chair. Oh great... now it was his turn to be a roach. He looked at her for a moment as he already knew from the start he had no chance of winning. And if he did for some miracle it was either because of one- he cheated or two - because she let him. And really two wasnt even an option for Dia." Uh.. sure." he said as he took off his robes for this one. He was going to need all his speed. he walked over to her." Ready when you are." he said as he gave her a smile."Now Xana have a seat and you two Ems cause i know your both going to enjoy this." he said as he was sure it was their mission to kill him of embarrassment.

Diabolica smirked evilly. "Good. Let's begin, then, eh?" she smiled and got into her correct stance. 'Stupefy!' she *thought* swiftly, smiling.

"No, no--he's agreed to it now. There's no turning back." Diabolica said darkly, smirking.

Josh walked across from her and moved into his stance. As he saw her standing their it hit him what he really got himself into. Oh gesh. He should really think these things through. He was about to cast a spell when one came shooting out of her wand. Holy cow! He barely was able to doge that one. This wasnt going to be fun at all. He straitened himself back into his stance."Petrificus Totalus!"

Diabolica slyly dodged his spell and moved to the right quickly, thinking 'Incarcerous!' She stepped to the right further and thought 'Levicorpus!' Oh yes, she was going to give him a run for his money. This was going to be *very* fun.

Xana sat cross-legged on her desktop and watched the dueling, enjoying it very much. She knew Diabolica would win-- she was the best in the school, easily-- but Josh was certainly putting an effort in, and she was impresssed with them both and silently cheered for each of them in turn.

"Finite!" Josh yelled in response to her Binding spell." Liberacorpus!" He said quickly as he moved around so it would be harder for her to hit him.Maybe that would distract her." Incendio!" He said as he shot for her Robes."Stupefy!!" He kept on his feet the whole time.

Diabolica easily side-stepped the Stunning spell and yet gave him a nasty look as she growled, "Oi! Fire spells aren't allowed! If that's how you're gonna play it...." she smirked and thought casually, 'Flipendo,' showing no signs of wand movement or anything. It completely looked as if she was just standing there, holding her wand facing him. Just in case, she stepped to the side and thought 'Confundo!'

Josh had a smile on his face as it some what amused him that she was upset. Though they were having fun. But of course he was scared out of his mind when she had that smirk. Oh gesh.. now what did he get himself into. He Used protego charm as he blocked her Flipendo charm. He stepped right into her trap. The spell hit him as he was trying to perform a spell."Confrongoish." he said.

Diabolica smirked as her spell hit it's target. 'Incarcerous!' she thought again, a perfect aim. To back it up, she sent with it a stunning spell.

Josh shook his head and started to come too. He was surprise how fast he came too. He looked to see a spell coming at him." Protego." he said as it blocked the first one. Whew.. close one. He looked as their was another, to late. Josh hit the floor with a loud noise. He was sure it sounded like a tree falling. Or at least thats what it sounded to him. " Owe.." he said as he then added." You win." Obviously it was coming.

Diabolica smiled evilly, sending a disarming charm his way, and, sending another binding spell to him. "Good match, eh?" she grinned.
