"Thats the best way to be when you hold such important positions though. Things have happened in this school in the past that you just wouldnt believe! and most of it has been kept from the Ministry and the Prophet. We would be hounded if stories were to leak out every year about how Hogwarts is dangerous and that there is no control or boundaries," Trent said to her. "So what subjects are you currently studying Faye?" |
"I'm taking everything I can fit into my schedule," said Faye brightly, as if she were informing him she was to be having chocolate cake for breakfast every day. "I've been particularly facinated by the UK curriculum for History of Magic, you see Voldemort and Voldemortist are only covered in passing among North American history books. What I've learned here in a single lesson has rendered years of History lessons regarding Europe almost completely obsolete. - Would you like help clearing away the dishes? - I've also really enjoyed Ancient Runes and Arithmancy; they don't seem to change wherever you go. I'm still twelve kinds of terrible at Potions, and I won't brag about Astronomy either, so it wasn't my mother's presence or that pesky Aurora Borealis, I'm just not strong there. As for Transfiguration, I thought that was pretty excting, Charms was less my thing, it seems. A fair sight better than Astronomy, but not as interesting. I mean, no one ever jumps out of Professor Branxston's closet screaming about arachnids do they? - Hate to see any fool who would try, he'd be polishing manacles for the rest of his life, so I've heard." |
Trent's eyes widened, and I mean widened. The girl was talking as if she didn't need to breathe in order to survive! as if she had planned this little speech out before coming to visit him. He caught a mention of dishes in between her talk of her lessons, but Trent waited until she was completely done. "When I was at school Transfiguration and Muggle Studies were my best subjects and I was reasonably good a everything else apart from Ancient Runes and Flying. I am a horrible flyer!" He assured her. "No need to do the dishes," Trent waved his wand and the empty cups and plates marched themselves into the sink. "So, you were saying Anj- I mean Professor Lainey was teaching you about Lord Voldemortist?" Trent asked incredibly interested. Last term Trent had heard rumour that Lainey and the Dark Lord were 'getting at it' for lack of a better term, and the idea of her teaching about him was as if she was confirming these rumours. Nuts! He thought to himself. |
"Yes!" Faye chattered on excitedly, if there was one thing she could do, it was talk. Well actually it was draw, but she could still talk like it was nobody's business, "She took us into his memory using a Pensieve! Have you ever used one? You probably have, but it was my first time, and it was absolutely spectacular. Considering just whose memory we were in, it was scary too, but amazing. Professor Lainey wouldn't tell us exactly how she got a hold of his memory though. So ofcourse now I REALLY want to know how she got it. And she won't explain how, if Voldemortist killed her, she can be alive today? It's another thing I'm so curious about I think I might just burst. She said he idolized Voldemort. I kind of figured; look what he chose to name himself. And she also said that he didn't was looking for a way to beat death, just like Voldemort had been trying to do." |
"A pensieve?" Trent said surprised. "Wow, that MUST have been some lesson." He listed to the girl explain the rest of the lesson. How did she get the memory? She probably owled him and he gave it to her without even questioning! Lainey was not helping herself whatsoever. "I am sure her death and rebirth is a touchy subject for her. I know I wouldn't want to talk about it if I were in the position she is." |
Estelle was exploring her new school when she came across two huts. She honestly felt like she was in a fairy tale, off to explore lands she hadn't seen before. Only fairy tales are a lot more brighter and happier than reality. Bit far fetched too, but hey, that's what makes them fairy tales. Enough fairy tale talk. Right then she was wondering whether to knock or to go away without finding out what this place was. Could there be someone living in there? Beauxbatons didn't have a hut in the middle of the grounds. But then again, this wasn't Beauxbatons. She climbed the front steps and knocked on the door. She would wait to see if she would get a reply and if she didn't. Well. Then she'll probably go away. |
Knock, knock. Someone was at the door. He smiled kindly to Faye to let her know he was going to answer it and return shortly. He opened it to a Ravenclaw girl, "Hello there my dear, how may I help you?" he asked kindly. |

Another exchange student? Jeezo, soon Hogwarts would be foreign altogether. Trent smiled at her kindly, "This hut is my house, where I can sleep and keep my eyes out on the grounds and be nearby in general," he explained. "I take it they dont have huts wherever you are from." |

She wondered if he too thought she was French, just like many others did. In reality of course she was British. But then again she had a half French grandmother, but living in France since you are five till you turn fifteen does have slight effect on your accent. She realised she hadn't introduced herself yet. "I am Estelle White, by the way." She extended her hand. |
"Oh you are from Beauxbatons? I bet this is incredibly different to you," Trent smiled. She didn't seem french, maybe she was pulling a prank or something? He looked around her suspiciously, trying to see if there was a bucket lying above his head. Everything seemed fine.... "Do you want to come in Estelle? I have another visitor as well." |
Quote:
She watched him do a funny thing then. Look around her as if he was expecting to be attacked by toads or something along those lines. Estelle thought about this. Another visitor? Maybe she could finally be able to talk to a few people. The only person she has spoken to yet, who is a student, is Nicolas, who is a first year, if she remembered correctly. "Okay." She said and smiled. |
Trent led her into the small hut and asked her to sit down on one of the empty seats. "This is Faye, Estelle. Faye this is Estelle," he introduced. "You may call me Trent," he smiled, "Now what would you like to drink? Both of you?" Since Faye and Trent had already finished their previous drinks. |
Faye wasn't usually the shy type, but she felt out of place, moreso, she felt like she had taken up a fair amount of Trent's time anyway, plus, there was no shortage of other things she knew she had to attend to. "Hello Estelle," she greeted earnestly, and before anyone could get a word in edgewise, she continued, "not to be rude or anything, but I was actually starting to think it was about time for me to run off. There is a stack a mile high of homework sitting on my bed, and my mother would just kill me if I transferred to Hogwarts only to flunk out of all my classes. Thanks for the coffee and the chat though. It was really nice. Oh, and Estelle, I'll see you around, maybe class or the Quidditch match next week?" |
"Oh," Trent said surprised, "Sure thing Faye. Your studies are the most important thing. Thank you for the cake and the visit. Feel free to pop in anytime." He walked her to the door and watched her walk across the grounds safely before entering his hut once more. "So yes, what would you like to drink Estelle?" |
Star was hurrying, looking for anyone to help. She figured that some one must be near here to help when she came across a hut she knew belong to the Groundskeeper. Hurrying up to the door, she knocked on it and waited, her heart racing. After a while when no one answered, Star sighed and hurried away again, back down to the Lake. |

"No bother," Trent busied himself at the counter, waving his wand to a couple of cups. One of which filling with water, the other coffee. He levitated a tin of biscuits to the coffee table in front of the seats and then took over their drinks. "There you are, help yourself to the biscuits," Trent smiled, "So how are you liking it here then Estelle? I hope everyone is treating you right." |
Popping in, Algamus gives Professor Tents's a nodsies. "Sirsesness, Professor Raisins tells me to givers you this." He said politely, passing on the parchment that had warned the Professors all about Raisin's and Boil's daughters. and with a snap, he went on to the next Professorerses. |

"Well. I haven't really met many people here." She told him. "So I cannot comment on how people are treating me. But I like the castle and the environment. It's a big change." She remained quiet for a moment and then added. "In a nice way, of course." She looked at the house elf who had apperated in and then back at Trent as the house elf handed him a parchment and disappeared. She had heard that Hogwarts had the largest amount of house elves working for it. She then gulped some more water. "When does this term finish?" She asked him. |
Trent gave an awkward, kind smile, "Don't worry about it. You will make friends here soon enough, especially in your classes!" Pop. A house elf had apparated into Trent's hut. He was startled at first but took the parchment off of the creature with a, "Thank you," and it disappeared just as quick as it came. He opened the parchment and read carefully. So it was true! The Headmistress' babies had gone missing... where could they be? "You havent happened to see any of the Headmistress' children as of late?" He asked completely ignoring her question. |

"It appears they are missing," Trent answered her with a low face. "Unfortunately I am needed Estelle and we are going to have to cut this meeting short. Feel free to come see me any other time. I do apologise." He put on his cloak and hat, let the girl out and closed the door behind him. With a flick of his wand he left a notice to visitors: Quote:

Trent returned to his hut after his very unsucessful hunt for the babies. Well, it didnt turn out a complete disappointment. They did find a dirty nappy. Who could have them and why? It was really worrying actually. He opened the door and made his way to his big armchair, sighing in relaxation. |
