Megan hesitated a moment then slowly and neatly wrote MEGAN MURPHY at the bottom of the list of authors. Then looked up at the professor again.

Pauline opened her textbook after she had gotten it out and put it on the table to the first page, and wondered what would happen. Pauline added her name to the booka s the proffesor had said to do, and she deicded potions would be good this year.

Kerry liked this professor already. He was having her write her name in the text book, which suited her just fine. Taking her quill out she wrote:

Sarah picked up her quill and wrote SARAH ZABINI down adding it to the list of authors on the title page and she placed her quill back down on the desk

Dinara looked through her bag for her quill and ink. When she found her open bottle of ink, she dipped her quill and carefully enscribed "Dinara Blayre" on the authors page. It made her smile a bit. When she was finished, she looked back up at the professor, intently waiting for the next direction.

Suzy thinks "i like this guy...this is going to be a fun class" she then continues to write her name next to the old guys in the book and giggles as she does so.

Cassandra quickly got out her textbook and turned ot the title page. Cassandra wrote her name on the badge she took from walking in a few minutes ago, she wrote "Cassandra S." on it. She looked up at Professor Dresden for further insructions. She nodded and wrote her name at the list of authors with her quill, careful not to smudge it.

Kennedy did as she was told and printed her name below the other authors' names. Next to her name, Kennedy added a smiley face.

Taylor smiled to herself when she saw the little kitten he had. She was amused by the student and the professors nicknaming. She liked this new professor already.

She listened more intently when he began to talk of potions, and almost stared with disbelief that he was asking them to not only make their own ways of potions this year, but to write their names in teh book- something she thought she'd never hear from a teacher. She glanced at MJ next to her and decided he was being serious and did as he said.

Jasmine's hazel eyes lit up at the professor's words and she wrote her name as an author with a flourish. Alright! She thought, this class is gonna rock!

Gem perked up, listening intently. What? she thought to herself. She had skimmed over the book and found it dreadfully boring. Her mum had told her Potions was horrid and so had her magical cousins. But this teacher was different... Maybe he could get Gem actually intersted in the subject. She smiled and added her name to the book, feeling strange doing so. She was so excited to be taught by such a man. He seemed rather intelligent and funny. Not to mention interesting. She smiled and glanced at everyone else, trying to read their reactions. She wondered if the Ravneclaw boy would sign his name as Daisy.

Curt laughed a little, all of his brothers and sisters HATED potions with the other teacher. Curt liked this guy already, still grinning, he printed his name "Curtis Diggory" under the authors name and sat back in his chair.

Cora was hesitant at first, but when she saw that other students in the class were writing their names in their books she followed suit and wrote "Cora Abbott" neatly underneath the authors' names.

Cora began to get nervous because she had never done potions before and she wasn't sure how she would be able to add her own ingredients.

Jake finally found a teacher that thought the way he did. It was like the light of the gods finally shining and doing that weird ahhhhhh noise that you always hear in muggle movies when you see someone godly. He felt like running to the professor and bowing before him but that would seem a bit odd. He took out his pen, not a quill but an actual muggle pen. He wrote his name down into the book next to the authors and place the pen down and looked back up waiting for further instructions.

Defacing books, nicknames, and changing things up. This was Hayden's favorite type of class. Hayden wrote in his book "Hayden Heinzler." He thought for a moment then add "The one and only" in front of his name before calling it good.

Torie grinned broadly, both at the thought of defacing her potions textbook, and at being considered an author. She had a feeling that this class was going to be pretty fun and she already knew that Mr. Sunshine would never live down that new nickname of his given to him by the boy he had called Daisy. Torie chuckled a bit to herself as she neatly wrote her name with her muggle fountain pen in the front page of her potions text. She looked up expectantly at the teacher, wondering what was going to come next. She was very excited to know what they would be learning this year.

As MJ heard what the professor said her eyes shone with excitement. She looked around at the class and looked at Taylor This is going to be awesome.. she told her and smiled. She felt bad for writting in her book but she added her anme. This teacher was reeally going ot be something and seemed like one of the best.

That lump there" he said, pointing to the still sleeping form of Kasabian, who's ears could barely be seen poking out of his black head "is my kitten Kasabian. I'm here to teach you Potions obviously"

When he observed that most of the class now had their textbooks open to the title page, he continued talking. "Now, the authors of that textbook. Their average age is 93. Not that there's anything wrong with being old, but they've been making the same potions the same way for the last 70 odd years. I don't know about you but that sounds dreadfully boring to me. I like to change things up, deviate from the bog standard potion instructions. So the very first thing I want you to do is to add your name to the list of authors, because this term you will be adding your own ingredients to the potions listed in that book" Adam said, standing up from his seat on the table.

AJ was a bit surprised at this, it was a very odd thing to do, but hey, Ada Professor Dresden had the right idea, to make things interesting for enjoyment. She wrote her name below them all carefully and neatly, in her swirly cursive handwriting and then looked up at him, leaned back in her chair, and scratched the back of her head. She was now sitting, staring at him, waiting, with her arms folded in front of her.

"Rock. On," Whende said as she scribbled the name 'Hezinpaloosana' into the front of the water damaged book. She'd done the same with her name tag, wishing that she'd had her bright orange button with her, rather than in her trunk. But oh well. Whende was such a boring name, name tag or button.

She'd situated the name tag on her left ear. Someday, she'd celebrate some sort of cow day for it, but for now, she'd have to get through class without blowing something up.

Vince looked at the professor, getting his quill and putting ink on it. He looked at the list of authors, wondering why for a professor, it would be very boring. He scratched his head with his other hand, slowly writing his name with the other. He put his name at the bottom of the list of authors, following the professor's orders even though he did not want to. He looked at the professor yet again, waiting for another instruction.

Adam grinned at the mass acts of vandalism of textbooks that he had induced. If he'd dared to doodle on his potions textbook when he was at Hogwarts he'd have got at the very least, detention.

"What I thought we'd do today, instead of you each making your own potion, is we'll make one together" he said, pointing at the large cauldron in the middle of the room.

"Everyone get out of your seats and come gather around the cauldron" Adam said. "You can leave your textbooks where they are, except you Daisy - I want to borrow your copy" Adam added. He didn't bother buying a copy of the textbook when he was in Diagon Alley and he wanted to check what the original instructions for the potion he was going to get them to make was.

Kerry was happy to have such a different class. She got up and walked over to the cauldron, eager to see what they'd be brewing today, but hoping there'd be no fires in this class like her previous class.

Megan got out of her seat and took her place around the cauldron and waited for the professor to start making the potion.

Sarah got up out of her seat and walked down the cauldron at the front of the classroom and waited for further instrucations

Kennedy rose from her seat in the front of the room and walked up to the cauldron. There she waited for Professor Dresden to begin making the lesson's potion.
