OOC: Class may start sooner than I said

Professor Virohsa opened the door to the classroom. The room was filled with a soft, yet warm aroma of spring flowers. The room was a bit humid, just like you would expect a herbology class to feel like.

Straightening her robes, she walked towards her desk.

Cara walked in and viewed the classroom carefully it seemed like it was going to be a fun class
Good Morning Professor!

Harry Riddle 05-29-2006 06:24 PM

Harry entered the class and said politely ,"good morning professor!"

OOC: Has the class started??

Cara smiled politely at her fellow peers and took a seat nearest the front

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 06:27 PM

Ooc- Yes in the sense that the thread is open and class will be starting soon.
Professor Virohsa looked at the students and shifted comfortably in her chair. "Come on, don't be shy. Take a seat... either on the sun or in the shadow", she replied.

ErinElizabeth 05-29-2006 06:30 PM

Erin skipped into the classroom, grinning widely. She took a seat and then closed her eyes and sniffed, taking in the scent of all of the beautiful flowers.

Harry Riddle 05-29-2006 06:34 PM

Harry took a seat in the shadow observing he was the only guy in the class. He raised his hand and asked politely ,"professor , what are we going to study in today's class?"

Caitlin smiled and took a seat in the sun where it was warm; she took out a piece of parchment and wrote "Notes" across the top. After lying down her quill, Caitlin waited patiently for the class to begin.

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 06:37 PM

Professor Virohsa smiled. "We will be studying when plants that enjoy playing pranks", she explained. "Do not worry though, no harm will be done", she nodded to herself as she waited for the classroom to be filled a bit more.

the.time.is.now 05-29-2006 06:39 PM

Caitlin couldn't help but to smile more. To her, a plant that could pull a prank would be awesome to have.

ErinElizabeth 05-29-2006 06:40 PM

Erin opened her eyes when she heard that they would be studying plants that play pranks. She giggled quietly before scooting over so she was closer to a window, the sunlight splashing in over her face.

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 06:43 PM

Professor Virohsa nodded. "We can start. Who can tell me what is April's Fools Day?", she asked the class.

ErinElizabeth 05-29-2006 06:46 PM

Erin raised her hand. "April Fool's Day is a holiday celebrated on April 1st. It is tradition to play practical jokes on people on this day," she said, smiling.

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 06:53 PM

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Very well!", she replied. "2 pts shall be awarded to Gryffindor", she added. Looking at the classroom and thinking of a specific story she asked, "Does anyone know the prank that involves flowers and mythical beings? Or any other pranks that relate to plants and herbs?"

the.time.is.now 05-29-2006 06:55 PM

EDIT:

Caitlin raised her hand. "Well, my auntie once told my father that Alihotsy leaves were just spices for his spaghetti sauce... she sprinked them onto of his food and he had a minor hysteria attack... They never got along much after that..."

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 07:07 PM

OOC- I'm allowing your edit because there were no posts after. For your information, if you edit, I will immediately delete your post.

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Ah! Interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing! 2 pts for Hufflepuff", she added. "Anyone else?"

ErinElizabeth 05-29-2006 07:07 PM

Erin giggled, but kept her mouth shut this time; she couldn't think of any stories on this subject.

the.time.is.now 05-29-2006 07:13 PM

Caitlin smiled at Erin. "I have plenty more, if you ever want ot hear. My family is a bit... interesting."

After grinning at the professor, Caitlin became quiet again and waited for further details on the lesson.

Meghan raised her hand. "Well I went to a muggle circus once and there was this crazy looking man they called a clown, and he had this flower that squirted water at people....kind of an odd joke if you ask me." She said trailing off.

the.time.is.now 05-29-2006 07:23 PM

"Was it a real flower? Caitlin asked Meghan curiously. She'd never heard of anything so absurd!

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 07:26 PM

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Yes, that is quite the classic. 2 pts for Gryffindor", she replied.

"The story I was referring to is the one about Proserpina, the Greek Goddess, who was out picking flowers. Pluto kidnapped her, which led Proserpina's mother on a long, never-ending search for her daughter", she explained.

"So with that in mind, we can move on to have a closer look", she began. "The first set of flowers change according to its environment. Who can recognize it?", she asked the class.

fr2nc1z 05-29-2006 07:39 PM

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Very good! 4 pts! Does anyone else know what type of tulip?", she asked the class.

the.time.is.now 05-29-2006 07:44 PM

Ooc: I'll give someone else a try, but I think I know what type it is. If no one else answers, may I?

BIC: Caitlin looked around nervously at the other students, waiting for someone to answer.
