| | | Lissy Longbottom (by Holmesian Feline) Interviewer (Holmesian Feline): Interviewee (Lissy Longbottom): *pounces in with a yawn after a late night*
Hello all my lovely Snitchseekers!
I am lucky enough to be sitting here, ringing in the brand spanking New Year with my dear friend Lissy, also known as Lissy Longbottom. Welcome. Why don’t you say hello to our readers. Helloooooooo readers! *waves* Now for those of our audience who don't know you, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Sure My name is Lissy, and I'm a college junior living somewhere in the great state of Illinois. I'm currently a moderator for the Magical Menagerie and Madame Malkins, and I am a very proud Hufflepuff! In case you couldn't tell from my username *points* I like Neville Longbottom. A lot haha. Naaahhh I had no clue
Lolz I can almost imagine you with a notebook practicing your username/pseudo married name within. But then who could not love the dear underdog Neville who proved you shouldn't underestimate anyone. Exactly! That's part of the reason I love him I related to him a lot, especially in high school lol. Funnn times, those high school years! Ah yes...for certain. *is momentarily distracted by Nolan in commercial* Alright...must focus. You say you're a proud hufflepuff....a very proud Hufflepuff to be exact. But I have it on good authority *wink* that you were once a Gryffindor. Do you see yourself as a mixture of both houses or just different houses at different times in your life on SS? Awww NOLAN! *misses him* I still can't watch the Office without thinking of him haha. Anyways *distracted* Hmmmm. That's a good question. And yes I WAS a Gryffindor for a good amount of time on here lol. I actually got Gryffindor on Pottermore when I was sorted as well, which really shocked me, since I was always so sure (and by always I mean like...in the past two years lol) that I was a Huffie.
So ultimately I think that I have a bit of both houses in me, but I identify more with Hufflepuff since loyalty, honesty and hard work personally mean more to me than bravery and being noble (not that those are bad traits at all, of course! ) Of course not...they're all good traits even the Slytherin ones, its all just a matter of how one uses them...right?
Speaking of Slytherin and their perchance for cunning and ambitiousness...do you have any future ambitions or resolutions you'd like to and be willing to share with us (It is the New Year after all ) A few My first resolution is to be more active in the RP! I miss it so much, and poor Alex hasn't been played nearly enough as he should have been xd
Now, offsite...my main ambition at the moment is looking at law schools and preparing for the LSATs and...whatever else you have to do to get into law school lol. I've also tried to read more books lately. It's a small past time I've let slip away from me over the years xd Ooooo more reading and rping...always good resolutions. *pets Alex* He should have fun and annoy his sister more HAHA I'm sure Sierra would LOVE that Alex isn't one to prank though...he's not clever enough for it Aww but he's already got his very House to do his part...pranks not needed
And Law school...wow. Definantly ambitious, but I'm sure entirely doable when you put your mind to it as you appear to have done.
Can you put your mind into thinking of 5 random words? UMM...this is so much pressure! Cheese. Gray. Comfy. Towel. Bag. Ahhh cheese...such a yummy food. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Bagels and cream cheese. Without a doubt Mmmm Yum and double yum, my favorite breakfast. Now you told us of your favorite character, do you have a favorite book and/or movie out of the the HP series? My favorite book and movie would have to be Order of the Phoenix. I loved the introduction of Dumbledore's Army and thought Umbridge was an excellent villain, plus that's the book where Neville got all awesome and everything BUT Deathly Hallows is a VERY VERY VERY close second Ah yes...the dear lady who loved pink and kittys and made both relatively harmless items, very scary things. Do you have a favorite color and what would it be? Purple, definitely Nice...very nice. Which of course fits with your choice of font color How about a favorite animal/magical creature? Is it the one-eyed, one horned, blind purple people eater? Is it...Is it? ACTUALLY YES I have a stuffed purple people eater that I bring out during Halloween! haha. Other than that though, I'd have to say mermaids. I blame Disney for that one, Ariel is just too awesome even if she's nothing like the HP versions! Really? Guess it was a good guess then.
Well thats all artistic and imaginative licensing of course. Good mermaids for cutesy animated movies and nasty mermaids to play bad guys against Harry. Besides Harry Potter of course, do you have any other favorite movies? Lots of them I'm a HUGE movie buff. I like pretty much anything Disney, and to name a few favorites, I really like A Beautiful Mind, A Few Good Men, Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones. OH and anything with superheroes in it! My latest fav is X-Men: First Class in that genre Who doesn't like Disney? For shame if they don't because it just means they haven't stumbled on the right movie from the collection.
And thats certainly a nice variety of movie titles *nods and scratches chin as she looked over list once more*
So when I say...Ian McKellan what do you think of? Gandalf! I'll admit, the first three X-Men movies have never really appealed to me and are probably the only superhero movies I don't think I've watched o_O So Ian will ALWAYS be Gandalf in my heart And then, by default, Michael Fassbender would be Magneto over Ian hehe Ah yes...Gandalf, the brave and lovable wizard predecessor to Dumbledore. And did you know that Ian McKellan was actually asked to play dear Albus Percival Wulfric Brian when Richard Harris passed? WHAAAAT
I dunno if my brain could handle him being TWO epic wizards xd Lolz...its true! He and his LOTR co-star and fellow wizard Christopher Lee were both considered but didn't work out. (Oh the things you learn during Christmas dinner conversation) Imagine how either of them would have been in the role. :O Blows your mind. On that note...Do you have a favorite Dumbledore? That IS mind blowing And, I do have a favorite Dumbledore and I'll probably get chased by a mob with pitchforks for this, but I actually prefer Michael Gambon over Richard Harris *hides* I don't think he was BAD by any means, I thought he did a great job, but Sir Michael is much more how i pictured Dumbledore in my head when I was reading the books
Richard LOOKED more like I pictured Dumbledore to look, but Michael acted more like him, if that makes sense xd Uh Huh.....uh Huh *nods and shows agreement as she scribbles down furiously to get all of it* Aww don't hide *gingerly pulls you from your hiding spot* We can fight them off...together! Yes I have to agree with you there on Michael. And actually...taking out the fact that HArris had to DIE for the switch to happen, I feel it fits the fact that your perception of Dumbledore changes from the grandfatherly Richard to the Michael who is not all he's believed to be through the course of things. *eyes shadows for signs of threatening folk*
Anywho...where were we *looks at notes and realizes she's shuffled everything up* Well I guess thats it then. Thank you Lissy and it was lovely chatting with you. Thank YOU for being an awesome interviewer! Tis always a pleasure! Aww you're welcome. And thank YOU...the readers. Say goodnight SSers. GOODNIGHT SSERS! Hehe |
