| | | Biochemkris (by Nymphadoraliz) Interviewee - Biochemkris Interviewer - Nymphadoraliz Hello SSer's we're here to talk with Kris *shivers pulling down hat more on my head* She's just about to... HEY! What are you doing in my fridge? You're blocking the cream cheese I need for my cookies n cream cheesecake! EEP! *blushes and moves out of way of the cream cheese and smiles* Kris, I presume? That would be me. I'm pretty elusive, so I suppose that's why you resorted to hanging out in my refrigerator, hoping I'd pop in? *Grins sheepishly* Yep, I'm here with the Quibbler and we'd love to sneak some cheesecake interview you. *Laughs and sweeps her hand from the fridge to the kitchen* Sure, why don't you come out there (that defrosting turkey you're sitting on can't be comfortable) and we can chat *peeks down at her seat* I was wondering why it was so cold! *Climbs out of the fridge* Thank you, much better! *brandishes quill and notepad* So who are you, other then a fabulous chef making a cheesecake? That's a loaded question! *laughs* I am currently the behind-the-scenes technical support person on SnitchSeeker, though I've had lots of other jobs around the site in the past *giggles* I like starting with those kind of questions. *smirks a little* How long have you been on Snitchseeker? *scratches head and then goes to peek* Since June of 2003, so what's that? 8 years? Wow! 8 years! *jaw drops and shakes head* Nearly since the beginning. How did you find Snitchseeker? Almost... I think the site started in 2002, which was before I even saw the movie, which is how this obsession started. *cues nostalgic music and fade out to foggy memory scene* I never wanted to read Harry Potter. EVERYONE was reading it and it was popular, so I'd decided that I would NEVER read the books or see the movies. I wanted nothing to do with them. Then, my mother-in-law puts on the first movie when we were over visiting. The first scene I saw was Harry's first time in potions, you know, with Snape... That was the beginning of the end for me. I went out and got the first four books so I could find out more about Snape.
Then, when I finished, I just had to know when the next book was coming out, what it was called, etc
So, I found this site (not SS) that had news and they linked to a story from SS, the site looked interesting and fun, so I made an account, found the school RPG, and the rest, as they say, is history! Awesome! *sways to the nostalgic music* About the same as me *grins* You said you worked on other parts of the site, which ones? And do you have any favorite spots to stalk play in? Well, I started out in the school RP, during the third term, I think. It was super fun and not a month into it I was made a journalist. That made it even MORE fun and I soon found myself as a professor. Then I was headmaster. I've also modded various areas (I was the co-founder of what is now called the "High Security Vault", mature RPG section), been site manager, started the Ministry RPG, and I've even been in charge of member of the week interviews. My favorite spots to stalk and play in are the RPGs, specifically the school. Oh wow! *eyes widening* You were headmaster too?!?! *pokes self mentally* I think I need to read up more...that or remember better, I think I did read that. *Moves around counter putting notepad down before looking up again* So tell us about you! Outside Snitchseeker, that is! (check out Hogwarts, A History - another of my creations - and you'll see my various HM characters over the years) ANYWAY, outside of SS I am SUPAH BUSY WOMAN person... I'm a *air quotes* "stay-at-home" mom (take note of the quotes), ballet teacher, assistant choreographer, dancer, tutor, graduate student, church janitor, musician, treasurer, and volunteer for various other stuff *Makes mental note to check that again* Wow! Super busy!!! Do you have any hobbies or something you like to do to just wind down? Um... a lot of that stuff up there could be considered hobbies, too. But in addition to that stuff, I sew (been doing a lot of costuming lately for the new show coming up), crochet, bike, do puzzles, read, and I like TV (mostly shows that aren't currently airing because we only get 2 channels) *Nods* You say you like to read, any favorite books and authors? I assume you mean aside from Harry Potter? LOL *giggles* Yep, I have those questions somewhere...here? *flips through notepad, finding a missing page I skipped* Yep, they're here too. *tries to hide a blush* hehe Well, I really like The Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong (I just finished listening to that on audio) and I also enjoy Anne Rice, Dave Duncan, and Anne McCaffrey, to name my favorites. Ooooo, I've heard of those! *nods and scribbles some on notepad again* Any favorite movies? Other then Harry Potter? Lord of the Rings is the first that comes to mind - awesomely done and closest to the books than any other based-on-the-book movie I've seen Definitely! *Flips a page* Other then the nostalgic music, do you have any favorite music or artists? The Second Advance (my brother's band), Muse, Bach, Korn, Tchaikovsky, soundtracks (ecclectic enough? pretty much anything that isn't country is fair game) Nice! *avoids asking about country* I like a good selection of music, especially Bach myself! *Grins sheepishly* Ok, Harry Potter time. What's your favorite book and why? Do you remember the bit where I told you how I got into Harry Potter? I bet you (and your readers) could probably figure out the answer to that question on your own. LOL
hmm... I think I just sounded like my favorite character... (that was another hint, btw) *giggles* I thought it was but wasn't sure if you had another favorite. So is it the same for the movie too? Yup, Half-Blood Prince was my favorite book and movie
Sssssssssssssnape! Ok having said that, what happens to be your favorite quote, book or movie? *has a feeling I know* hehe hmmmm
Can I say, "every line delivered by Alan Rickman" or do you want me to be more specific than that? *giggles again* That'd do it. If I had to pick just one, though
"Turn to page three hundred and ninety four", the last time he says it, was pretty awesome
And now I'll watch all the movies and go, "Darn, I should have picked THAT one!" every time he delivers a line I WAS RIGHT! *giggles helplessly* Awwww, Snape's a favorite of mine too. hehe Without him, I would not have picked up the books.
Love that guy Definitely!
I think this next question is pretty obvious for the answer...if Snape's teaching it *wiggles eyebrows* If you were a student at Hogwarts, what class do you think would be your favorite, and why? Well, this is actually an intriguing question because even if Snape wasn't teaching potions, I'm a biochemist, so I'm thinking potions would be my favorite, regardless. Awesome! *winks* but Snape'd just be the bonus hmm. Yes, and I'd like to think I wouldn't be one of the students to incur his wrath. Profs like him were always my favorites, anyway. The ones who expected you to do the work, know your stuff, and actually be interested. LOL! I think all of us would want to stay out of that wrath. I think those are the best myself though! You learn more.
Ok, it's quick fire question time. *grins evilly* Are you ready? I think so
*looks nervous* Ok here we go!
Are you a cat person or a dog person? dog Reading or writing? reading Are you a morning person or a night person? night Allergic to anything? yup Silliest word in the English language? um
lol What is the square root of awesome? awe
lol Choose 5 random words….GO! hop, frog, lunar, bracket, roof If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? cheese Finally one last question, what is one word you would use to describe yourself? sincere Thank you so much Kris! It's been awesome getting to know you! Whew! *snuggles* I hope your turkey didn't get too defrosted. I was afraid you were going to make me write a fic using those 5 random words (I used to do the EEFFDs) XD darn I hadn't thought of that *grins evilly for next interview I might do some day* Want one last bit of trivia before you head out? I'd love one! During the rapid fire session you asked if I was a cat or a dog person and I said dog - the bit of trivia is this: my dog's name is Luna.
I'm allergic to cats, among other things LOL ooooo! Awesome! hehe
thanks for interviewing me! You are very welcome! We named her Luna and afterward we realized it fit - her nickname at the vet's office is Lunatic because she had to be put on prozac (she's a rescue and poor thing had crazy separation anxiety - getting better) LOL cute! hehe Anyway - I better get back to making my cheesecake! Ok, Kris and thanks again! |
