The Office of Liliana Hunter, Department Head
 

Lili looked up from the letters that she was writing to send out to the different people in the department when she heard a knock on the door. Setting aside her quill for now she said, "come on in," with a slightly raised voice. It was puzzling her who this could be, she hadn't yet sent out memos.

Brock Greenway just started in the ministry. It was his first day and he was reporting to the head office to see what his division would be. Down the hallway there were tons of doors. He couldn't find the one he was looking for until he got to the very end.

Brock noticed the sign and smiled cause he knew he was at the right place. Brock knocked twice and opend the door to walk in.

Lili smiled as she heard Iain's voice. Looking up at him she grinned, before getting up and walking around to sit on the edge of her desk infront of him. "I'm doing pretty good actually," she told him, "though it is a little bit overwhelming." Just as she was about to say something else there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Lili said, walking back around to the other side of her desk just as the door opened. She didn't reconize the person who walked through the door so she asked, "How can I help you?"

Iain smiled at her, and hoped above everything else -- even above the well wishes for his two sisters -- that Lili would wwant to still see him. However, he knew that that might not happen. He groaned internally and then shook his head as she walked around her desk. He shook his head, trying to shake off the next set of thoughts that came into his head as she perched on her desk.

He nodded his head and smiled. "It's going to be over-whelming Love." He said, not even noticing his use of the word Love as an endearment, as his hand caressed her knee a little. He gave her a smile, and then moved away from her as a knock at the door came. He sent her a sly wink, before the door opened fully and he gave the young man that walked into the room a friendly smile.

So this is what the Department Head's Office. Wow he didn't expect a girl to run the The Department of International Magical Cooperation. "Yes, I was wondering what Division I was in?" Brock then took a one of the two seats in front on Lilis desk. It was very comfortable and almost made him want to go to sleep. Brock then made sure he was sitting up tall and straight in a professional manner.

She smiled at Iain and nodded in answer to his earlier question. She wanted to say more, but she'd wait. Dinner later sounded good, it was too bad that she couldn't send brain waves.

Lili listened as the boy talked, and nodded when he finished. She sat back down in her chair, and looked on her desk for the copy of the memo she had sent earlier. "You must be Mr. Greenway," she said. Glancing down at the memo she had written quickly she said, "Yes, you're in the Trading Standard Body division. Mr. Hunter here," she said, smiling at the formality, "is your division head, so you will report to him. If you've got any questions though, you can always stop by my office, and I'll be glad to assist you. Just remember to knock and wait for a reply from me before you come in."

She turned to look at Iain. "Will you be willing to show young Mr. Greenway where he is to go?" It felt weird, asking him something like this, so she smiled to let him know she was only doing her job. Hopefully this wouldn't make things awkward between the two of them.

Turning back to Brock she asked, "do you have any questions before Hunter shows you were to go?"

Brock hesitated to ask the next question. He always asked a lot of questions and he wasn't proud of it. "What does the Trading Standard Body division do?"

Brock then glanced at Iain to see if he was getting annoyed with him. He didn't want to get on the wrong foot with him, especially if he was one of his coworkers.

"I will leave that up to Iain, as your division head, to tell you," she said kindly. She should get to work on sending out a few more memos. She picked up a stack of paper on her desk and straightened it before she said, "is there anything else you'd like to know?"

"No that will be all thanks for everything." Brock noticed that she had a lot of work to do and didn't want to disturbe her anymore. Brock stood up and walked next to Iain. "You ready to go?"

"Wait, please," Lili said as Brock made to leave. "You need to file your information in the filing cabinet before you do anything else." She looked over to Iain before she looked back at Brock. She didn't want him doing anything else before he went and did that.

Thats right Brock thought to himself. He needed to put his information into the filing cabinet. He looked back at Lili, "Thanks I almost forgot about to do that. I will do that right. Brock took a seat and started filing out his information.

Iridesca walked up to the Department Head's door and she knew that she was shaking a little bit from the excitement of getting a Division Head position within the Department. She looked down to straight her skirt and adjust her blouse. She had bought a new white suit just for today and she hoped that it made a great first impression.

She checked her reflection in a nearby window and flipped through the file folder in her hand. She had brought a copy of her employee profile sheet to be filed in the Department's Filing Cabinet as soon as possible. She liked being prepared for these kind of things early on.

She took a deep breath and then knocked on the door. Here we go, she thought and waited for permission to enter the Department Head's office.

Brock sat there for about five minutes filling out this thing. It asked for his history and more stuff like that. Everytime he couldn't think of something he bit his pencil.

Once he got down, he got up and walked to Lili's desk. "Here is my file. Please don't lose it. It took me a long time to do that." Brock liked being sarcastic sometimes.

Lili took the folder from him when he had finished. She really didn't like his attitide, but she decided not to say anything. "Thanks," she said, turning around and placing it in the filing cabinet. Just as she was closing the drawer she heard a knock on the door, and turned around again. "Well, that's all I think Brock. Please report to your division. Can you leave the door open for whoever's knocking to come in please?"


Ohh Lili thought, as Brock was making his way to the door to leave, this must be the new division head. "Come in," she said, just as the door was opened. She sat back down, and tried to look professional.

Jenkins sauntered up to the department heads office, he had a few questions for him. The door was open so Jenkins walked in. He was suprised to find a woman sitting behind the desk.

"Hello," he said, "i'm Jenkins, Jenkins Z. Vaughn III."

Iridesca walked timidly into the Department Head's office with a smile. Once she was standing in front of the desk, she extended her hand out to shake the Department Head's hand, "Iridesca D'Ann McMillan, pleasure to meet you." she said with confidence making sure that she gave good hand shake...not too hard...but not to soft. She really wanted to make a good first impression.

Lili looked up as someone else walked in. She really should of asked for the door to be closed behind the last person but this was okay. Turning to the guy who walked in, she gave him a welcoming smile. "Hi," she said, "Can you please just go over there and wait for a couple minutes?" She asked him, pointing to the couch. She got up and walked around her desk and closed the door, so that she'd know when someone else came in.

"Oh," Lili said with surprise. "You're our new division head aren't you?" she said smiling at the woman. "I'm Liliana Hayman, either Ms. Hayman, or Lili is fine," she said in a rush. "Please, take a seat," she said, pointing to the chair right infront of her desk as she walked back to sit behind it again. "Did you get my letter about this position?" she asked once she was sitting down again.

Iridesca took a seat as soon as the Department Head had done so. That was proper for this type of first meeting, she thought, trying to be as proper as possible until she got to know the Department Head. "Thank you, yes I received your letter. I feel very honored to have been given this opportunity." She said with a smile.

OOC: I had already posted in here before I received your letter but I have not done anything in the actual Division.

Jenkins scowled slightly, not used to being ignored, but he gave the woman a quick nod and sat down on the couch. And waited patiently for them to finish.

Jacob nearly rushed to Evaline's Lili's office when he heard the news. She was so kind and hardworking...Jacob just hoped she'd be up for the job. Evaline had been a bit more...solid in her words and ideas. Lili was more...friendly. Who knew? Maybe the change would be good for the Division.

He looked over the list he held in his hand, updated with the new heads and employees. Apparently he had a new one. Refraining from jumping up and down in happiness, Jacob settled for a more enthusiastic knock on the office door.

Seeing Lili's name on the door, any of Jacob's previous worries vanished. Lili was going to do great.

"I'm excited to have you on board," Lili told her in response, smiling at the other womam. "So you are going to be heading up our International Magical Office of Law," she said, only as a reminder, "Do you have any questions about that division? Or about being a division head?" She paused for a minute, allowing Iridesca to think about that. "If you like, I can show you to the office of law and introduce you," she said, throwing that out there.

Lili felt bad about asking someone to wait. Especially because it was someone that she did not reconize. But she had to brief the division head first. She'd be with him shortly.

Great, Lili thought. Yet another knock on the door. I wonder who this could be she thought, as she was still letting Iridesca think about the questions she posed. Just for a chance to get up, she was actually pretty nervous about taking this position, and it hadn't really sunk in until she had started talking to Iridesca, she went over and opened up the door. Only to come face to face with, "Jacob?" she said, a little surprised. She hadn't seen him in awhile, not since that day in Diagon Alley, but she was glad he was here now. "I'm just talking to the division head who will be taking my place in the Magical Office of Law, do you want to come in and wait for a couple minutes?" She asked him, pointing towards where the comfy couch was in case he did want to sit down. She walked back over, and sat on the edge of her desk while she waited for both Jacob and Iridesca's answers.

Iridesca smiled. "Well, I'm really excited to be here, too. Could you please refresh my memory about the specific duties and tasks that the division takes care of and what projects they are working on currently? I think last I heard we were dealing with an issue with cauldrons in France. Has that been settled?" She hoped she wasn't asked too many questions. "I would greatly appreciate a tour of the division and maybe a list of the employees and their jobs within the division."
