Erik was suprised that she said today. That was estatic! With a smile on his, he said, "Thank, you," shook Liliana's hand and left the office. On his way out, he saw a woman come in. Erik gave a nod of greeting and went on his way to his Division Head.

"Hello Mrs. Hunter...I am Marie Selig. I was told to come by your office my first day to find out what division I am in." Marie said nervously.

Lili nodded to Erik as he made his way out of her office. She was in a hurry and she needed to get things finished. Turning to Marie she said, "It's very nice to meet you Marie. Yes, your division assigment," she muttered to herself, looking through papers quickly for her note on which division she had put Marie in. "Oh yes, Trading Standard Bodies. You're division head is Iain Hunter," she said, a smile coming to her face as she thought of her husband. "If you make your way there he will be more than willing to get you settled in. Kindly fill out your information on the way out," she told her.

As there was another knock at the door she got up to go answer it. Krel was at the door. "How nice to see you Krel," she told her honestly, "but I am just on my way out, and don't have time to talk. If it something work related, can you please take the matter to either Mr. Hunter, or your division head?" And with that, she turned back to Marie and said, "I'm sorry to rush you, but I've got to leave my office, so I must as you to leave as well."

ooc. Krel, I don't mean to brush you off. I really truly don't but I only have a few minutes, and I am leaving early in the morning for the airport [see announcement thread in a few minutes] and so I don't want to start what it is that she wasnts to talk to Lili about because I wont likely be able to RP with you till either the 17th or even the end of the summer. So really sorry to both of you two for rushing you out of my office, but when you read the annoucement it may make sense.

A snowy white owl appears and before flying off, delivers the following message -

Penelope Edwards walked up to the office door. She was nervous, her knees were shaking against each other. She wanted to turn and run the other way, but she had been told to meet her Department Head on her first day at the office. Wild thoughts were running through her head, wondering if she looked alright or maybe she should stand a little more straight. Before she knew what she was doing she rapped on the door. "This is it," she whispered to herself.

Lili had not been back in the office for long before there was a knock on her door. Making sure her clothes were all straight,and her hair was lying flat, she got up and made her way to the door.

When she opened the door there was a woman standing there. One that Lili could not recall ever seeing anywhere before. "Come on in," she said kindly, "how can I help you?"

Walking through the door, Penelope's knees were knocking against each other harder than ever. "Hello," she said quietly. "I was told to come here. It's my first day, see."

As Lili let the girl into her office she noticed someone else standing there as well. He didn't look familiar, but he looked important. But right now, she needed to help the girl, who, looked so nervous it was probably best to get her to sit down. Motioning to the guy to come into her office and take a seat on the couch in the corner she turned back to Penelope.

"Why don't you take a seat, Penolope," she said kindly, with a smile. "I'm Liliana Hunter, the Department Head on this level. You must be the new employee in the Law office right?"

Taking a hint from her gesture, Claudian followed Liliana Hunter into her office. He found a space to make himself comfortable on her chairs and waited patiently for a moment of the Department Head's time.

Taking Liliana's offering of a seat, she graciously sat down. "Yes, I'm the new employee of the Law office."

Nodding in clarification at the girl she smiled. She was coming into the ministry at an amazing time. A smile spread over her face as she thought about that before she mentally shook her head to think about the task at hand.

"So, before we get started, do you have any questions about my department? Or rather, the Department of International Magical Cooperation," she said.

Turning to look at Liliana, she tried to muster a smile. Very faintly, she said, "Yes actually, I did have ONE question." Clearing her throat, she asked "Exactly what do I do?"

"Oh," Lili said, slightly shocked but pleased. "I will leave that up to your division head to tell you. If you ever feel like it, stop by," she told the girl kindly. "She is in the office down the hall," she said before turning to the person sitting on her couch.

"How may I help you?" she asked, "and I am sorry I kept you waiting"

Birce knocked the door nervously, not sure if she had come to the right place. She was told to come here, so here she was, but she still felt nervous as she was a Turk and sometimes understood this interesting English wrong. Her mind went back to memories of misunderstandings and she smiled to herself. They were all teaching and extremely embarrassing. She couldn't believe she applied to work in Britain. She had always dreamt of going to other countries, but she never thought she could move there... Though she was happy as she always wanted to work in Cooperation, she knew some languages and she thought they were the handiest in such a profession.

She waited there trying not to pull her clothes or bite anything. She was very nervous. She thought of what she'd say or how she'd talk, but her mind was frozen. She took a deep breath, checked herself at her mirror one last time and started waiting in front of the door motionlessly. If she moved, her legs could betray her and she could run.

Hearing a knock on the door Lili got up and went to open the door. She'd just popped back into the office for a minute and was getting ready to head back to the conference room. She'd just forgotten a note and had come back to get it. She placed her hand on her stomach momentarily before she pulled the door. "How may I help you?" she asked the young lady that she found standing on the other side of her office door.

Birce didn't realise that she'd been wishing for the head to be gone until that moment. When she opened the door, her stomach flinched. She had to search for her voice for some seconds before answering. "I--am the new employee--Birce Türksoy." Deep breath. "I was told to come here for my division..?" She hoped for the question tone to save her, if she got it all wrong.

"Yes, I remember sending a letter to you," Lili said offhandedly. Giving her her full attention she said, "I've placed you in our British Seats division. " She paused for a moment before continuing, "You're division head is Jacob Webster, and normally I would as you to report straight to your division but we are having a meeting in our conference room right now, and even though you are new, it would be best if you head there right away. I'm actually headed back. We can talk more about this department after the meeting if you wish." She really hoped that she didn't overwhelm her on her first day.

As Birce didn't know how things went here, she just nodded when she said her division. Was that good? Birce had no idea. She just listened and nodded a few times to show she understood... But she didn't. She didn't want to go to a conference! Oh God, how nice. What would she do there? But apparently she was not asked but ordered to go there, so she forced a smile and said "Of course." waiting for her to show the way.

Lili couldn't help but notice that the woman really didnt look like she wanted to go. To bad, she thought smiling to herself. She may think that now, but when she finds out what the meeting is about, and what she gets to be a part of on her first day...well, lets just stop there. "Right this way," Lili said, pointing down the hall to the immediate door on her left. Same side as her office.

Lili had only nicely gotten back into her office. She felt so much better now that she had told Iain about the baby. The meeting had gone well, and she was excited to get stuff started for the QWC! As there was a knock on her door and turned around and headed back to the door,a big smile on her face. Opening the door, her smile never leaving her face, she was faced with Claudian, "come on in," she said. "What can I do for you Claudian?" she asked the liason from the ministers office.

Wow, that was a large thing to think about. She really did not know how she thought the department was doing. She supposed she should, it being her department and all, but she didn't. Not really.

"I suppose it is doing pretty well, we have had a few set backs lately, what with family emergencies and such amongst my division heads, but other than that, work has been moving along pretty smoothly," she said.

He paused a moment, looking a bit concerned at the mention that family emergencies came up for some in the department. "That's understandable. Though, I'm glad everything righted itself and is going smoothly for the department now." He took a moment to look nerdy as he reached around his massive form placing his palms over various pockets searching for...ah! There they were! His spectacles. He placed them on his face and drew out a small folded parchment with tiny, tiny boy-writting on it.
"Pardon me for a moment. I'm kind of new to this questioning thing and I'm afraid I had to make notes on some of the things I thought we should go over."

"I enjoyed the meeting, by the way. You're quite a good speaker, Mrs. Hunter, if you don't mind me saying so." He said as he carefully unfolded the parchment as though it were wet or otherwise made delicate. "How are the guidelines for the World Cup merchandise coming along?". He smiled remembering that it was Iain (Good old Iain who had helped him more than a time or two with his Transfiguration homework) who was on that particular assignment with her.
