Harper walked all the way into the workroom and noticed Stacey-Anne releasing love into the world. It was very hard work, and hoped she could get as good as Stacey-Anne someday. She heard footsteps coming from behind her, so she swiftly turned her head to see an outline of someone under a spell. Harper could remember spells well...this person was under the...disillusionment charm! She quickly followed the soft footsteps out the door, to see who was trying to hide from her.

Some time later Kirk casually walked into the room. He waved his wand over his shoulder, heard the familiar click of the lock and then proceeded to his desk. His face was flushed and he shook slightly as he sat down, pulled over his work checklist and studied it.

Just as he ticked off the first item on the checklist he heard the voice of one of his employees. Veia seemed to have finished the job he had set her.

"OK, great job guys" Kirk said enthusiastically.
"Now we have some paper work to finish off. At your desks is a paper on the types of love. If you could all have a read, and let me know your opinion, that would be great."

Kirk swishes his wand once again and sends the papers on his desk to float to the others.

Attachment: satisfying basic emotional needs
Altruism: selfless or unselfish concern for another
Reciprocation: if love is mutual
Commitment: a desire to maintain love
Emotional intimacy: sharing emotions and feelings
Friendship: the spirit between friends
Kinship: family bonds
Passion: whole-hearted desire
Physical intimacy: sharing of intimate personal space
Self-interest: desiring rewards
Service: desire to help

Impersonal love:

A person can be said to love a country, principle, or goal if they value it greatly and are deeply committed to it. Similarly, compassionate outreach and volunteer workers' 'love' of their cause may be borne not of interpersonal love, but impersonal love coupled with altruism and strong political convictions

Love styles:

Eros (love) — a passionate physical love based on physical appearance
Ludus — love is played as a game; love is playful
Storge — an affectionate love that slowly develops, based on similarity
Pragma — pragmatic love
Mania — highly emotional love; unstable; the stereotype of romantic love
Agape — selfless altruistic love; spiritual

Stacey-Ann wandered over to her desk and read the papers that Kirk had mentioned and said "Well all this love is interesting but i am rather confused about why people fall in love" Stacey-Ann had never had a boyfriend while at school and she had crushes on people but didn't think that she had loved anyone

"That is the one mysterious thing about love. Why we fall in love i think we will never know." Said Kirk.

After leaning back in his chair, Kirk jumped up, proceeded to the love storage area, waved his wand and sent another dose back into the population.

He turned to Stacey-Ann and said "Love is a very mysterious thing, it can act very strangely when provoked." At this the door behind him to the storage room burst open and a wave of the blue contents washed over Kirk.

By the time the stuff had settled to the floor, Kirk was gone.

Harper was working at her desk, but listening intentally to Stacey-Ann's and Kirk's conversation. She eyed him curiously when he was talking about how mysterious love was. Out of nowhere, the storage room door blew open whipping papers around everywhere. Harper was shocked, and looked over quickly to see what Kirk did. When she looked at his seat, and looked again, she saw that there was no Kirk. "What happened?" She gasped unsteadily to Stacey-Ann. "Where did Kirk go?" She asked, worried.

Stacey-Ann blinked at Harper and said "I'm not sure i am sure Kirk hasn't gone far" Stacey-Ann was pretty worried about her boss but was sure that he wasn't too far away

After knocking and waiting at the door without answer, Peter decided to see if any-one was around. He tried the door handle, unlocked, he slowly opened the door "Hello" he said tentivily.
Stepping into the office he scanned the room quickly, nervous on his first day, his eyes searched for a kind face.
"Hi," he said to the room at large, in a voice slightly higher than usual.
"My name is Peter Plumb, im supposed to be starting work for the Department of mysteries today. They have assigned me to the locked room and im supposed to report down here."
Feeling thoroughly intimidated he waited for someone to reply.

Elijah raced into the room - he'd heard a noise and knew something wasn't right. A crowd of employees loitered about, looking scared and confused.

"What happened?" he demanded, looking at the blue liquid splattered across the floor. "Who is responsible for this? Where is your Division Head?"

Harper gave Elijah a worried look. "I haven't a clue! One moment Kirk was sitting there at his desk," she pointed to the corner desk, "then the next, he was gone!" She told him in a slightly panicked voice.

Shocked by the woman's words, he spoke to the division as a whole. "I'll be sending in someone soon to keep things running. Please continue working."

With that, he turned on his heel and left, slamming the door behind him.

Elijah slowly reentered the room, a smile prominent on his face. "It's been taken care of," he assured Kirk's employees. "A new, temporary division head will hopefully be in soon - if not, I'll take over."

He nodded at the lot, urging them all to get back to work, then returned to wandering the Department of Mysteries to make sure everything else was running smoothly.

An eerie feeling washed over the people in the room and everything seemed to fall silent. Suddenly there was a crashing noise and Kirk appeared out of the love storage room.

He fell to the floor with crash. his robes wrapped around him. He slowly stirred as the room fell silent again. He then slowly started to rise. Once he was straight he looked around at all the stunned workers and quickly proceeded to the exit. He slammed the door behind him, waving his wand to lock the door.

Stacey-Ann had to blink twice when she saw Kirk had returned but she quickly got back to filling in her paperwork

Eleanor couldn't help but blink as Kirk appeared once more. What had happened there, she had no idea of. In fact, as far as she could see, everything had moved quite too quickly for her to be certain of what had happened. Looking around, she searched for someone who'd be able to explain to her what had happened but not one single person seemed to be eager to do it and, let's face it, Elli did not wish to bother any of the people who were working.

Sighing, she shook her head slightly and resumed to her own work. Not a single thing within that room made that much sense to her and the silent environment did not help her one bit to relax. As for the fact that they were constantly locked... oh that didn't bid her any good for she loved to be outdoors and feel the wind playing with her hair.

Still, she'd have to live through it for the sake of her daughters and for her own sake.

the door blew open as Kirk approached. he quickly stepped over the threshold and waved his wand to close and lock the door behind him.

he looked over his employee's, the continued to look busy but he knew that they really had nothing to do... yet.

"Hello everyone!" he said smiling over them. "i think we need to have a quick meeting"

"I need everyone in the meeting room in 10 minutes. we have much to talk about." Kirk finished. He walked over to his desk, picked up a few papers and started to head towards the meeting room down the hall.

Stacey-Anne had just finished up her paperwork and saw that Kirk was wanting a meeting with everybody and stood up and headed towards the meeting room wondering what Kirk wanted to talk about

Kirk watched as he employees slowly drifted into the room.

As they sat down he shuffles his noted and addressed the team.
"First off, i really want to congratulate for all your hard work over the past few months. What we are doing here may not always seem like sense. But we have been effective. Especially over the period i was gone. Which brings me to my next point. Where i went.

Look to be honest i dont particularly know where i went. At times it seemed like i could see the happenings of the whole ministry and others i just seemed to be nowhere.

But this brings in a whole new investigation. I need everyone to look into this anomaly. I expect reports on my desk next week. Id like to report something to Elijah.

Of course it was locked, it is the Locked Room, M'Lynn thought irritably to herself. She rapped lightly on the door with her knuckles and waited. No answer. M'Lynn knocked again, louder this time, and waited, with arms crossed, for someone to let her in and tell her what she needed to do.

She knocked, loud, so someone would hear her. She turned to the other person feeling she better make friends on her first day.

M'Lynn looked up sharply at the sound of footsteps coming towards her. Could it be her supervisor? She started to speak as the woman arrived at the door next to her, but stopped as the woman began to knock. No, obviously not. "Already tried that," M'Lynn said as she glanced at the woman. "No answer yet." She looked at her a bit appraisingly as the woman introduced herself rather cheerfully. She seems eager to be friends, M'Lynn thought as she raised a speculative eyebrow. Well, she didn't want to appear rude on her first day. "Hello, Kate. I'm M'Lynn, and currently I'm feeling a bit annoyed. One might think there would be someone waiting for us to let us in or at least give us instructions on how to access this room." She frowned as she looked at her watch, then looked back at Kate. "Well, it appears that we're still a bit early. I guess we'll just have to wait. Am I correct in assuming that it's your first day too?"

Kate was a little disappointed with the tone of M'Lynn's voice, Kaye thought she was being nice.
