"It matters to me because I wanted to know why. Why did I wake up in the morning with no one there. Why I had to go to the Ministry to answer questions about a man I hadn't even heard of. Why one night I was followed home. Why at the crack of dawn two UK Ministry Officials told me I had to go home." There. She'd said it, the reason why she wanted to know.

"No Warren, I wanted to know why you left. I couldn't care less about anything else. I loved you at the time, you were my whole world." She swallowed pushing back memories.
"Followed you? I spent months thinking the same thing. Thinking you'd woken up early for work. I spent 2 months in that blasted country waiting for you. Answering questions about things I didn't even understand." She sighed, all anger gone. She was helpless. She'd told him everything. She didn't even have excuses now, everything was out in the cold.

Warren sighed, he hadn't realized that she had been that affected by it. He had been so obsessed with protecting her from the people that were coming after him that he didn't realize that the ministry would have asked her questions. "I already told you. I left because bad people were after me. I didn't want you to know where I was in case they came asking questions. I'll admit that I was the one who followed you that night. I came back to make sure you were okay. I'll even admit that I was the one who told the U.K. Ministry what was going on. I did it all to protect you."

He felt horrible at what she had to go through, but how was he supposed to know. She never wrote. He didn't dare admit that he had stayed in Germany to give her space and time to get over him, lest the people were still after him. He also didn't admit that he had always been hopelessly in love with her since the after she saved him the second time in England.

The emotions were welling up in her eyes. She swallowed.
"You...you followed me that night?" She clasped her hand to her mouth.
"You told the ministry?" She blinked trying to understand, she hated politics.

"But Germany? England?" She said trying to understand.
"Thank you" She said finally. That was all she wanted, answers.
"So now what?" She said trying to find any recognition in his eyes.

Warren looked down at the ground, "Yes...I followed you that night and told the ministry. It wasn't safe for you there." Warren listened as she tried to make sense of it all and decided to come completely clean. "I...I wanted you to be happy. While I was in Germany I was trying to figure out who I had become. That was where I met Susan who kept me up to date on what was happening with you. You wouldn't have been happy with me...I wasn't the same person." He sighed and looked into her eyes. What now...? He thought hard and realized the best way to forget the past was to put it behind you. "How about we start over? You and me?" He swallowed as his heart beat rapidly waiting for her answer. He didn't know what he would do if she said no but he did know that things couldn't ever be 'normal' between them.

"That was you?" She said breathlessly, vivid feelings arose from the depths of her memory but she ploughed on.
"I was happy....with you. Susan kept you up to date?" Alexa remembered her long time friend.
He swallowed and said "How about we start over" and she had to think. She didn't think he loved her. But herself that was a different story.
"Yeah, I think we can be friends" She said expecting him to look happy that she hadn't wanted more. She was pretty sure that what had happened in Russia was behind them so why try and change the past. They were happy memories. Smiling she looked up at him.

OoC: So Susan finally comes into the story...

A large phoenix patronus flew towards Alexa and Warren.
"Meet me both of you in my office straight away!!!" Forrester voice said before the phoenix patronus disappeared.

Grabbing Warren's hand, Alexa felt relief but a little disappointment. Taking the lift up she smiled at him and waited for Level 2.

Warren almost kicked himself when she said she had been happy with him. It's in the past now...get over it. "Yes, Susan told me everything that was happening." Well he hadn't really given her much of a choice on the matter at the time....

Warren's heart sank as she said that they could be friends. Though his disappointment didn't show on his face he knew it did in his eyes. He smiled rather forcefully and swallowed, "Umm...sure. Friends." He looked away at anything in sight except at her. He didn't think his will would stand up to her eyes.

Miley walked into the Atrium and sat down on the nearest bench.She pulled out her mirror and looked at herself.

James stepped off the lifts and crossed atrium withhis hands pushed intohis pockets. He grinned when he saw her looking at her self in a mirror. " that wont make you any prettier than you already are."

Miley looked up and saw James."Oh,hey James.What have you been up to?"She slid the mirror back into her pocket and smiled.

"Not much, it's still been kind of slow reallyi guess that means things are okay, or atlest no major problems that is." he said as he sat next to her.

"Ya,things have been going really really slow,"Miley said."So,did you enjoy the wedding?"

" james smiled. " I had a good time." he said what about you... did you have a good time with that... guy?" he honestly couldnt remember the guy's name.

"Jacob?Yes I did have a good time with him,but he's only a friend,"Miley said.

Richard span out of the fireplace and walked along the atrium with his brief case in his hand and brushing the soot off of his clothes with his other hand. He decided to get a daily prophet as he had missed the owl with his paper back home. It would be there when he got home but he needed a paper to pass some of the time at work.

" Oh I thought the two of you might have, been more." He said with a smile.

"Nope,"Miley said."Now,Cassie probably thinks we like each other."She shook her head."We're just friends and that's all we'll ever be."She looked down at her hands and then back at James."So,what have you been up to lately?"

" outside of work nothing really. I just got back into into town right before the wedding.

"I've been doing nothing either,"Miley said."Well,I have been getting ready for my brother's wedding,but that's about it."

" Congradulations to your brother." James said with a smile she really was pretty but so was her sister....

"Do you have any sibilings,James?"Miley asked.

" I do... talen he graduated hogwarts last year." james said.

"He must miss Hogwarts,"Miley said."I miss Hogwarts."She smiled.

James nodded " yeah I think he does I know I did." james said,
